Terrible Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK: Promised One Thing, Delivered Another
I stumbled upon Reconditioned-Engines UK on eBay and they promised me a fully reconditioned engine for my Ford Ranger. They even offered to collect and deliver it for a fixed price. I thought I hit the jackpot! However, my excitement was short-lived.
Once they had my vehicle, they informed me that they had found other faults and needed an additional ?1000 before they could return it to me. I was taken aback and felt like I was being scammed. But, I reluctantly paid the money to get my vehicle back. When it was delivered to my yard, it made a terrible knocking noise. I immediately contacted them, but they denied any responsibility and claimed that it was something else that needed fixing.
I was frustrated and disappointed. I had spent a lot of money and my vehicle was still not in good condition. I decided to take it to an independent mechanic who confirmed that it was undriveable and that the work they had quoted was not carried out. I was devastated and felt like I had been taken advantage of.
I ended up spending ?3000 to fix my vehicle, and it was still not better than before it went to Reconditioned-Engines UK. I am now contemplating taking them to court, but I am not sure if it is worth it. If anyone has any ideas on how to stop them from scamming other people, please let me know. I can be reached at ***@underwoodrecycling.co.uk.
Overall, my experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK was terrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. They promised me one thing and delivered another. They took advantage of my trust and left me with a damaged vehicle and a lot of expenses.
Warning: Do Not Use This Engine Company - They Will Cheat and Con You!
This engine company is located in Sunbeam Rd Wolverhampton. I had a bad experience with them and I want to warn you about it. They might try to cheat and con you, so be careful and don't be fooled. I got my rebuilt engine back and it had the Alternator wired incorrectly, which caused the battery to discharge and the warning lights to blow off. To make matters worse, they returned the car with the wrong keys!
I had to call the AA to come and take a look at the engine. They expressed concern with the engine, saying it sounded like it had piston slap. I drove the car carefully for the first 500 miles, changed the oil and filter, but during this time the engine smoked and breathed heavily. When I was driving back home, after having done about 700 miles, the engine started to lose power and eventually came to a stop.
I had to tow the car away and I was advised that the crankshaft had snapped in two with the whole engine destroyed. I tried to contact Jay (not his real name I've been informed) and his brother Manny with many calls and Whatsapp videos and messages, but they totally ignored me!
I'm not sure what action I can take, but I want to warn you not to use these thieves. They might try to cheat and con you, so be careful and don't be fooled.
Warning: Stay Away from Reconditioned-Engines UK - Dishonest and Untrustworthy!
I had a terrible experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK. I found them on Ebay and agreed to a set price for them to fix my car. However, after they picked up my car, they emailed me a week later with a price that was nearly double what we had agreed upon. I was shocked and upset, so I decided to go to Wolverhampton to settle this in person. When I arrived at the address listed on Ebay, I found out that it was just a small 2 bed house. I then went to the address on the email, but it didn't exist. I was very frustrated and decided to go to the police for help. They gave me an address, and when I arrived there, I found my car in pieces all over the garage. Needless to say, things did not go well. They refused to release my car to me and instead started charging me ?35 a day for storage. I am now taking legal action against them.
To make matters worse, I found out that they have been arrested in January and released on bail earlier this month for trying to sell people's cars. I am just one of 185 people who have been affected by their corrupt practices. It turns out that www.anyengines.co.uk and http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-S-TYPE-XF-XJ-2-7-TDV6-RECON-ENGINE-SUPPLY-AND-FIT-/***617?hash=item1c7c65e811:g:KWAAAOSwA3dYd47D are all part of the same corrupt chain. I can prove it.
I strongly advise anyone to stay away from Reconditioned-Engines UK. They are dishonest and untrustworthy. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Avoid Reconditioned-Engines UK/Vehicle Maintenance UK and Europe LTD - A Terrible Experience
I recently had a terrible experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK, also known as Vehicle Maintenance UK and Europe LTD. I found them on eBay, where they were advertising an engine supply and fit sale. I took my Sprinter van in for an engine recon, which they quoted me £2100 for and asked for a £750 deposit. However, they didn't start working on it for a whole month.
When they finally did start working on it, they sent me pictures of the big end and crank, claiming they were badly damaged. However, there was no knock on the big end in our van. They then tried to charge me £4250 to fix it, which I refused to pay.
I cancelled the sale and had to pay £1300 in labour and recovery just to get the van back with the engine in a thousand pieces in the back. To make matters worse, I had marked our cylinder head when I fixed the black death, but there were no marks on the one they returned to me. Additionally, the engine block they returned was from a completely different Sprinter, as the number didn't match our log book.
It seems like they charged us £1300 just to steal our engine block, cylinder head, fuel injectors, number plates, and who knows what else. I have reported them to Trading Standards and the police, and I strongly advise others to avoid them like the plague.
Warning: Elite Engineering Sunbeam Street is a Scam - Avoid at All Costs
I recently had an experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK, and I must say it was not a pleasant one. I sent my beloved Ford Transit to Elite Engineering Sunbeam Street 11 weeks ago, and I was promised that it would be ready within 2 weeks. However, 2 weeks went by, and I heard nothing from them. I tried calling them, but all I got was empty promises that they would send me photos and videos of the progress. But nothing came through.
Frustrated and worried, I decided to do some research on the company, and what I found was truly shocking. It turns out that the owners, Prithpal Virdee and Jaspal Virdee, have been scamming and conning people out of their money and cars since 2010. They have even changed their business name several times to avoid being caught. I later found out that they are due in court next year for over 20 fraudulent claims!
I knew I had to take matters into my own hands, so I went down to their workshop to get my vehicle back. And what I saw there was truly horrifying. There were over 200 cars there, all with various parts missing. And the so-called mechanics on site were only three in number, trying to fix all those cars. It was an absolute joke!
If you have a vehicle at Elite Engineering Sunbeam Street, I urge you not to waste your time calling the police. Instead, go down there and get back what is rightfully yours. It's the only way! And if you're thinking of sending your vehicle there, please don't. Avoid them at all costs.
In conclusion, my experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK was a nightmare. I hope this review will help others avoid falling victim to their scams and fraudulent activities.
Beware of Reconditioned-Engines UK: My Experience with Engine Recon Ltd
I recently had a bad experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK, also known as Engine Recon Ltd. In my opinion, 90% of engine reconditioning or supply and fit services are fraudulent. I wish I had known this before becoming a victim of these scammers. It seems like no one is taking any action against them. It only costs ?30 to open a limited company in the UK, and these evil people have so many limited companies under various names, but they all do the same thing: con innocent people out of their hard-earned money.
Initially, I was quoted ?1350 to recondition my Mercedes engine, but then they asked for ?2125. They took a deposit of ?400 before starting work, and after stripping the engine, they asked for an additional ?775 for parts, which we refused. They have gangsters sitting in their office who either work for them or are part of the same scam. They use intimidation tactics to scare people into not taking any further action. They even asked us to pay ?630 in total just to pick up our car, or else they wouldn't touch it.
We recorded all of our interactions with them, and maybe that's why they eventually agreed to give us our car back for the ?400 deposit we paid. It was a hard lesson learned. I recommend using trustworthy companies that are local to you. Ideally, you should get the engine and have it installed by someone you know. Otherwise, it's not worth the risk. I hope these people are guided onto the right path. All the best!
Warning: Stay Away from Reconditioned-Engines UK - My Terrible Experience
I recently had an experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I had some issues with my Ford Transit Custom engine and decided to give them a try after seeing their advert on eBay under the name "Engines 4u". Little did I know that this was just a ploy to lure unsuspecting victims like myself.
I paid approximately ?2800 to have my engine refurbished and was promised a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks. However, it took them a whopping 8 weeks to get my van back to me. I had to threaten them with legal action before they finally delivered.
To make matters worse, the person who installed the engine did a shoddy job. My power steering pipe was damaged, my coolant pipe was crushed, and a wrong bolt was placed with 3 washers around it. The alternator bolt was not torqued correctly and became loose. My AC pipe was hanging down and had not been attached correctly. My AC is not working correctly and my heater is cold even when I put it on hot!
I had to spend an additional ?1600 to sort out their unprofessional and pathetic mistakes. It was a big mistake to trust these con artists with my vehicle. I wouldn't even trust them with my son's Tonka toy car!
Ryan is the face of this embarrassment of a company and I've heard they go by many different names. They use false advertising to draw their victims in and then leave them with subpar work and a lot of headaches.
I will be reporting them to Trading Standards and warning others to stay far away from Reconditioned-Engines UK.
Avoid This Company: UK Engines, Smart Engines, Reconditioned Engines - A Terrible Experience
This company is the worst I've ever dealt with. They took my deposit of ?700 and promised to call me with all the important information about my car, like when it would be picked up, where it was going, and when I could pick it up. But once they had my money, everything fell apart. They made arrangements without my consent or knowledge, and even for a day when my car wasn't available, despite me telling them. They asked me to sign away my cancellation rights, and their terms of business were hidden on a page with an error, making them hard to find. They also trade under multiple names, including UK Engines, Smart Engines, and Reconditioned Engines.
Within 12 hours of me signing the terms of business, they stopped answering their phone (the sales line still works, but not the after-sales line). They ignored my emails and charged me ?295 for "admin" fees when I tried to cancel. They're now withholding not only my ?295, but also the ?405 of my deposit that they promised to refund. They're ignoring all my correspondence, and their phone still doesn't get answered. I'm having to pursue them through my credit card company.
These people are cowboys, and I highly recommend avoiding them.
Terrible Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK: A Warning to All Car Owners
I sent my van to Reconditioned-Engines UK for an engine rebuild and was quoted ?1800 with a 10/12 day turnaround. However, I waited for over a month to receive pictures of a ruined engine, which turned out to be from a different van. I argued with them about this mistake, but it was not a good start.
After a week, I finally received pictures of my actual van and was told that parts needed to be replaced. A few weeks later, I was given a final bill of almost ?4000, which I paid. However, when my van was returned, it sounded terrible and there were oil spots on my drive. Moreover, the bumper was cracked in two places. I refused to accept the van in this state and had it taken back.
I was told that the alternator was the problem, and they fitted a new one at no cost. I waited for weeks to get my van back, but after 90 days, I lost my cool and sent them a blunt text. They then got extremely rude and hung up on me, and attempted to keep my van. They would not return it or give me an address to pick it up. I phoned the police and told them that I had reported the van stolen.
After a while and many texts, they finally gave me an address, which turned out to be a religious center. However, I managed to spot a parcel in a video of my van from inside their unit, which had their real address on it: Unit 16 Sunbeam Street. I drove there and found my van parked in a nearby car park, and they sent someone to deliver the key. However, the key had been smashed.
On driving the van back home, I noticed that it now has electrical faults. I have paid them ?4000, been without a van for 90 days, and now have a van with a damaged front bumper, a damaged key, and an electrical fault. I would advise anyone not to go near this garage, as it is a scam. All around the garage, there were cars dumped with no engines. This was the worst experience imaginable. They are operating under Elite Engineering and have ads on eBay under Mistpeakmedia. Review Feb 2021.
Warning: Do Not Use Reconditioned-Engines UK - Scamming Company
I recently had a family member who needed their car repaired, so we contacted Reconditioned-Engines UK. They came to collect the car and took a cash deposit, promising to keep us informed throughout the process. However, after three weeks of waiting, we couldn't get hold of them on the phone. We tried calling from different numbers and eventually got through, but they acted as if they didn't know which car we were referring to. They promised to call us back within five minutes with an update, but they never did.
We tried calling them numerous times, and eventually, they told us that the car was there, but they hadn't started working on it yet. I asked for their unit address, as the addresses provided on their eBay business information were just residential addresses. They gave me the address as Unit 16 Sunbeam Street, Wolverhampton, WV24PF. I searched for this address and found a site with corresponding news articles about this company defrauding families.
I did more research and found out that they trade on eBay under at least three accounts: Engine-rebuilds-uk, Engineservicesuk, and Engines4u. The top eBay name is the account from which we got the contact number for the work to be carried out. However, looking back on the account, the high feedback count, although kept private, actually relates to items of furniture, nothing at all to do with cars.
We have informed the police and trading standards about this company, and we plan to go to the Express and Star too. It seems that Jaspal Virdee and his brother Prithpal are criminals who like to rob innocent people of their money and cars. To make matters worse, they called today to say they would be returning the car, but they never showed up, and now they are not answering calls again. They have sent me a reply on eBay now trying to say that I have them confused with another company, despite the fact that it is off that account that we got the initial contact number from.
So, please, anyone reading this, do not use this cowboy scamming company. They are not to be trusted, and they will take your money and your car without doing any work. Stay away from them at all costs.

Unreliable and Overpriced: My Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK
I was given a quote of around 2,100-2,700 for a new engine or a new build from Reconditioned-Engines UK as our old engine had stopped working. However, when we received the total bill, it was a whopping ?5,000 and our vehicle still isn't running correctly. The company promised that the work would be done in 10 days, but it actually took almost a month.
To make matters worse, the warranty is impossible to maintain as no other garage can even look at it. This is a major inconvenience for us as we live over 100 miles away from the company. We are extremely unhappy with the service we received and will be taking them to court to try and get some of our money back.
I strongly advise against using this company as they are unreliable and will leave you well out of pocket. It's a shame that we had to learn this lesson the hard way, but hopefully, this review will save others from making the same mistake.
Warning: Reconditioned-Engines UK - A Scam Garage Stealing Money from Innocent People
I recently had a bad experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK. I wish I had read reviews before I got caught by this garage. I reported them to trading standards and was advised that if there are other people like me who have been caught by this garage, they should contact trading standards. They will not discuss our case, but they are building a case against them. The more people report them, the more information they can get to build a case against them. So, please, please phone trading standards. Let's stop this garage from stealing more hard-earned money off innocent people.
Warning: Do Not Use Reconditioned-Engines UK - No Response and Missing Car
I stumbled upon this company on eBay and decided to pay them a hefty sum of nearly a thousand pounds to recondition my car engine. They even arranged for a recovery company to collect my car, which was convenient. However, I am now facing a major problem as I have no way to contact them. I have tried calling the two numbers they provided, but both of them go straight to voicemail with no response. To make matters worse, I have three different addresses for them, and I am not sure which one is correct.
I am feeling quite frustrated and helpless at the moment. I have even reached out to the police, but they have not been able to take any action yet. I am willing to go and collect my car myself, but I am worried that if I drive to all three addresses and my car is not at any of them, I will be out of pocket even more.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Reconditioned-Engines UK. I would not recommend them to anyone, and I hope that they will eventually respond to my calls and messages so that I can retrieve my car.

Excellent Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK: Hassle-Free and Quality Service
I recently had an experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK and I must say, it was a breath of fresh air compared to my previous encounter with Elite Engineering. I was in need of an engine repair for my trusty old Ford Fiesta and stumbled upon Reconditioned-Engines UK's website. The prices seemed reasonable and the reviews were positive, so I decided to give them a try.
I placed my order online and was pleasantly surprised by the quick response time. Within a few hours, I received a call from one of their representatives who confirmed my order and provided me with an estimated delivery date. The engine arrived on time and was in great condition, just as promised.
Installation was a breeze and my car was up and running in no time. I've been driving it for a few weeks now and have had no issues whatsoever. The engine runs smoothly and I can feel the difference in performance.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK. They provided excellent customer service, delivered a quality product, and made the entire process hassle-free. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of an engine repair or replacement.
P.S. Sorry for any spelling or grammar errors, I'm not the best at writing reviews!
Unreliable and Untrustworthy: My Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK
!
I recently had an experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK, also known as Flash recon, located at 16 Sunbeam Street. I needed a reconditioned gearbox for my Land Rover and they promised to have it done in 7-10 days. However, it took them 2 weeks to contact me and tell me it was ready. They asked me to pay by bank transfer and promised to deliver the car the next day. Unfortunately, the car did not arrive and I was given several excuses and delivery dates.
I was so frustrated that I decided to travel all the way to Wolverhampton to collect the car myself. When I arrived, I found my car still on the ramp and was told that it had failed a test run that morning. I couldn't believe it! They still had my car and my money, and I didn't know what to do.
I contacted trading standards and they are currently investigating the matter. I believe they are building a case against Reconditioned-Engines UK. I would strongly advise anyone not to use their services. They are unreliable and untrustworthy. They have caused me a lot of stress and inconvenience, and I don't want anyone else to go through the same thing.
Beware of Reconditioned-Engines UK: A Warning to Car Owners
I wouldn't recommend Reconditioned-Engines UK to anyone. They seem to be taking advantage of people who are in desperate need of car repairs. It's really disappointing to see how they're making a fortune by ripping off innocent people. It's important to be aware that if you choose to do business with them, you might end up losing a lot of money without getting your car fixed.
I've heard that Trading Standards are aware of this company and others like it that are operating around the country. It's really important that we come together to put a stop to this. If you've had a bad experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK, please feel free to message me so we can share information and help others avoid falling into the same trap.
It's really frustrating to see how these companies are getting away with their scams. They need to be held accountable for their actions. I've even heard that they have connections in Bahrain, which just shows how far their reach is. It's time for us to take a stand and put an end to this. Let's work together to make sure that no one else falls victim to their schemes.
Warning: Stay Away from Reconditioned-Engines UK - My Terrible Experience
I had a really bad experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK. I took my Jaguar XF to them for an engine refurbishment and they quoted me ?3000 for the job. I paid ?1500 as a deposit and that was it. But then they sent me a picture of an engine that wasn't mine and said it was. They then asked for another ?4500, which I couldn't afford. They said they would sort something out, but I haven't heard from them since. I've tried calling, emailing, and even sending post, but no response. I even contacted the West Midlands police and Greater Manchester police, as well as trading standards. It's really frustrating and I feel like I've been scammed. The Virdee family who run the company are the scum of the earth and I hope they get what's coming to them. I would advise anyone to stay away from Elite Engineering and any other company operating out of Unit 16 Sunbeam Street Wolverhampton.
Fraudulent Practices and Poor Service: My Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK
So, I had a pretty bad experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK. I'm not the only one, it seems like a lot of people have had similar issues. They had my car and claimed that the engine was completely ruined, but I knew that wasn't true. They then tried to get more money out of me for parts that I knew were fine. I told them to stop working on the car and give it back to me, but they haven't actually returned it yet.
It's frustrating because the police won't do anything about it, so I might have to get a solicitor involved. That's just going to cost me even more money, which is really unfair. I don't think I'll ever see my car or my money again.
It's just crazy to me that this kind of thing can happen and the police won't take action. It's fraud, plain and simple. It's a crime, but it seems like nobody wants to do anything about it. It's really disappointing.
Mixed Results with Reconditioned-Engines UK: A Review
I gotta say, I took a chance with Reconditioned-Engines UK after Kevin was really pushy about getting my car back. But I gotta give them credit, they came through in the end. They kept me updated twice a day and fixed the power issue. It was a tough job, a whole new engine, two turbo's, inter cooler, and a bunch of other stuff. But they got it done and I'm pretty happy now. They messed up the first time, but they made it right eventually.
Now, let me tell you about my experience with these fly by night cowboys. Kevin Jacobs talked a good game, but it took them 11 weeks and ?5,700 to rebuild my engine and now I gotta take it to another garage to fix it. The turbo's aren't working and the hoses were cut from the top of the engine. And don't even get me started on the warranty, it's not worth the paper it's printed on.
If you try to go legal, they'll just wave their contract in your face. There are tons of people out there who have been screwed over by this company. So, for your own sake, don't use them.
Warning: Terrible Experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK - Beware!
I gotta tell ya, I had a real bad experience with Reconditioned-Engines UK (reconditioned-engines.co.uk). I was lookin' to get my van fixed up and they quoted me ?1800. I put down a deposit of ?900 and waited two weeks to hear back from 'em. When I finally did, they told me I had to pay ?4500 or they wouldn't give me my van back! And on top of that, they were chargin' me ?35 a day until I paid up. Can you believe that? This was back in October 2017 and I'm still dealin' with this mess. The police ain't helpin' me none, they say it's a civil matter. I've lost thousands in work and all my tools were in that van. I had to buy new tools and rent vans just to keep workin'. I even contacted Trading Standards, but they ain't doin' nothin' either. It's a real shame, but I reckon the only way to get justice is to band together with as many people as possible and take these guys to court. It'll save us all some money and make a bigger impact. If you're in the same boat as me, shoot me an email at ***@hotmail.com. Let's do somethin' about this!

We had exactly the same problem with them! They had my daughter’s car for over 6 months! Unfortunately I can’t see your full email address otherwise I would happily contact you to discuss how we can go further forward to getting them shut down! I’ve already tried the motor ombudsman but unfortunately as the company isn’t registered with them they can’t help me.
