Regus Sent invoice after I cancelled renewal months ago

I got an email on 1/24/21 saying that my agreement will automatically renew on 2/1/21. In email it gave me the option to not renew my agreement. I clicked this and it takes to me to the home page but the link redirected is a termination link with number in it.
www.myregus.com/home?emailredirect=account%2Ftermination%2xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-FDxxxxxxxxxxx
I followed their provided guidelines and instructions to cancel this agreement. Knowing the complaints of previous customers, I recorded this process as legal evidence. Come last week, I got an invoice to pay for next month. My agreement expires 4/30/21. I contact the office and they say that there is no termination request in system. I contact customer support and one lady Jasmine Jaidi says the "Unfortunately we are not able to assist with the termination as the proof provided is not sufficient

The video showed that you view the reminder mail on 25 Jan 2021 however it do not state that the termination is requested "

The video clearly shows me clicking " I do not wish to renew my agreement" and being redirected to the link. I tried replying to Jasmine Jaidi asking if she even watched the video, and turns out the query was deleted and message didn't deliver.

I have been trying to get in contact with the help desk with no answer for several days. They are holding a $700 retainer balance from me and still have the invoice on my account.

If I don't hear back any response and get the clearly terminated renewal off my account, I need to know how to take this to the American Arbitration Association.

I have attached the video and a picture showing proof of the date the video was taken.

Desired outcome: Cancel renewal that I requested months ago, Give back retainer after 4/30.

UPDATE: Regus has fixed the mistake and cancelled the renewal agreement. Thank you Sandra for making this happen, I appreciate it.

Hello Sandra.
I had emailed you a few days ago regarding the situation. I just sent an update email with the details/account reference so it comes to the top of the mailbox. Look forward to hearing from you

Update by 4rjun
Apr 13, 2021 10:31 am EDT

Now I received any email stating "We received your email regarding the termination and review the video you sent. On this video only shows how is redirecting you to be able to terminate your account but is not showing anything as an error to complete the process. If is anything that you have showing that when doing the process it didn't let you complete it or didn't allow you to have access to start it. If you have a picture of this or video, please send it to us so we can review it. As per right now the account has been renew until further notice from your part. "

They are just making stuff up at this point. It is the Regus error that the link did not take me to any additional steps that would be required, and had redirected me to the homepage (which is a process done upon completion of an activity), and therefore causing me to believe termination had been completed. Clearly if the link isn't showing any other steps there is an error on their end. I don't understand what the customer rep is even thinking. I will be taking this to my credit card company and the American Arbitration Association if it is not resolved.

Regus Worst Customer Service, No Refund of Retainer Deposit

I ended my lease for office space in 11/2020. It is now April 9st, 2020 and I still have not received my retainer deposit of over $2200. They have the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called literally 30 times without resolution. Every time I call, I receive a different excuse of why I have not received my retainer deposit. It took 22 calls just to speak to a manager. The manager claims Regus doesn't have the ability to cut a physical paper check and the only way I can receive my refund is via a bank transfer. I bank at a major bank (Chase) and have verified the correct domestic incoming wire transfer 4 times and Regus still says it is not correct. There is no excuse to explain this run around other than unethical business tactics to avoid refunding my deposit per the contract.

I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau

Regus Office space rental

What type of unethical business you are running, I wish I read all the complains about your company, very bad, this company is going to shut down soon. I get transferred and am on hold for some ridiculous amount of time. I have been trying to cancel a month to month contract. Again, no answer to that question. What a terrible policy and makes no sense if you cancel on 15th how on earth you charge me until April 30th if it is a 30 day notice. We are not fools here. What on earth is restoration fee if it is a month to month contract and a 30 day notice. You guys emailing me saying I owe two unpaid months of service. And your agents don't know anything they are very unhelpful It is like an endless parade of circular logic with you people.

Desired outcome: Refund

Regus Auto renewal of agreement

I have been a loyal customer of Regus for the past 2years. I even considered adding a second location and referred friends to Regus.

On 1/9/21 I put in my notice that I didn't want to renew my agreement to the center my office was located at by email. I received a response from them to go online and terminate my agreement. I logged on and clicked the option to terminate my current agreement ending on 3/31/21. I did this thinking my agreement was terminated for the months that followed as it showed I had endedy agreement. I was preparing to vacate the office when I realized my card has been charged for April 2021. I called the main number to let them know about this error when I was told that I didn't terminate my agreement on time, by 12/31/20 so it auto renewed for another 2 years! I logged on and do not see the agreement they are referring to only the agreement that I terminated and it shows it as ending on 3/31/21. This is very misleading. I email the center again and was told to just log on and end my agreement.

Im getting mixed responses from the center to the main phone number to online. At this point these practices seem confusing and deceptive.

Desired outcome: Terminate the agreement and refund my deposit

Account is [protected], location CA, San Diego - Cush Plaza (1890). Please see attached. Thank you.

Dear Sandra,

I received your response dated March 22, 2021. I do not feel as though this matter has been resolved, and I am writing to seek clarification on the following:

1. Although I signed up to use Regus’s Virtual Office, I cancelled my subscription before my lease even began. I cancelled my subscription on 1/8/2021, and my lease was supposed to begin on 1/17/2021. Therefore, I cancelled your services almost a week before I would have begun using the virtual office. Why was my term extended into February when I cancelled the service in early January? Further, there is no reason I should owe Regus anything in the way of late fees or rent. I have not used your services.

2. Customer service representative Shaina S has already applied my retainer to the February Virtual Office Rent/Late Penalty, yet the spreadsheet shows I still owe over $100. What sum will be refunded to me by the end of March?

3. I have received several notices and collection fees from Regus after cancelling my subscription and never using your services. This has caused me frustration and has been a waste of time.

I appreciate your time in responding to my questions and resolving this issue.
Thanks,
Alex T.

Regus Final invoice

Due to covid, our office was unable to open a new location in Texas after requesting a 6 month lease. Additionally, we were close for 2 1/2 months reopening 3 weeks ago. We suffered financially. Now, I am being advised that my lease auto renewed and we're being charged late fees. We are requested a waiver of the late fees and The additional months charged. We NEVER utilized the space.

Desired outcome: Revised invoice

Regus Wow... Customer Service phone number is disconnected.

Terrible! I am taking legal action against Regus. The sales representative shared false information and customer service takes weeks to answer (if you get any answer at all).

It took multiple emails over a course of MONTHS just to get a copy of my terms of service. I was ignored and finally sent screenshots of a checkout page in lieu of the agreement.

I finally got a phone number to call to terminate my membership and "the call can not be completed". I will also be filing a complaint with the NC Attorney General and reporting additional charges as fraudulent to my bank.

Desired outcome: Terminate my lease and remaining payments!

If you want to do a class action suit, let me know. This place is horrible and overcharging many people for services that were initially "free" and for retroactive late fees based on new rules they don't tell you. Absolutely nuts and I've had enough.

Regus Shocking rip off

Regus Invoice Number 3454/5364

I would like to make a serious complaint about the fee and charges for my use of the meeting room today.

This is a horrible rip off.

The meeting room rate is around $30 per hour, in which I think it makes sense.

We couldn't finish the meeting by 5pm and the receptionist said there will be a surcharge to extend the hours; she didn't show me how much it will be and I thought it will be roughly around $30 per hour plus administration fee.

I ended up being charged $497.64, for a small meeting room in Crows Nest from 3pm to 8pm; even my business partners were shocked when we left.

I looked at the bill and it was $59 for the first 2 hours from 3-5pm; $59 per hour after 5pm for the room and $72 per hour for administration fee; it is $131 per hour! If she could kindly advise me the charges, we would have left immediately. This is not very transparent and in fact very misleading.

This is a very shocking experience. Will never use this office again.

Desired outcome: I was not told the exact fee for the hour extension, do not think the charges is justified; request an reasonable adjustment

Regus Late fees as the result of regus billing mistake

We transferred our account from NJ to Brookline, MA. It took Regus several months to adjust the billing. As the result, even though we have been charged and paid for the NJ office, we also got charged for the MA location, in effect double-charged. We promptly brought this up to Regus attention. Regus took some time to resolve this and did not advise us on what to do. We did not pay the wrong invoice and Regus charged a late fee. Since then, we've been diligently paying our monthly charge, but the late fees keep accumulating.
The local and regional office representatives are saying they are trying to remove the late fees as it clearly was not our fault, but they are getting a response that it's out of policy. Anyone have yet to explain what type of policy is this to charge late fees for the Regus mistake. Have yet to find a way to contact management.

Desired outcome: Late fees removed. Account/Billing

Hello Sandra,

Someone has contacted me and partially credited the account. However, my follow up emails went unanswered.

Furthermore, while at this point the account balance is around $150, we just received an email from a debt collection agency for over $900. That's debt collection for the errors that Regus created! Excellent business strategy. But to us, it is completely unacceptable!

Regus Renewal

Account # 6510545: Dr. David P Suchard, MD
I called customer service and requested this account terminated, I completed that task however the account will stay open until December 2021. This "Virtual Office" has never been used. Mail service has not been used, nor has any other services. Dr. Suchard just made a payment of $1016.70 for no reason. It would be fair to at least have the late fee returned to Dr. Suchard. He has NOT used the services. Dr. Suchard leases his own office in Santa Rosa I would like this account terminated as of December 2020.
I did not receive a renewal notice, I have checked my e-mail and trash, and spam, customer service said that it was sent. I also requested a copy of the original contract and customer service said it was unavailable. I have never heard of this happening.
Please terminate this account immediately and credit any further charges. I have read several reviews and frankly they are not very impressive. This is not the first time Regus has done this to customers. I look forward to the termination e-mail for December 2020 and the credit for any invoices that have occurred.

Office Manager, Dr. David Suchard

Desired outcome: Some of the late charges refunded, no further charges . The account to be terminated as of December 2020.

Regus Office Space

We had an active rental agreement with Regus Delta, Bangalore, India, till end of Feb'2021. Regus wrongly charged indexation charges for Feb'2021 invoice considering auto-renewal from beginning of Feb'2021. We had raised this with Regus in several forums & Regus refuses to remove wrong charges despite numerous requests! Kindly help to resolve this

Regus Co-Working membership

My 12 month agreement ended March 2020. It auto renewed without notification from Regus and I called April 2020 to see if there is a way to cancel it due to pandemic. They said they cannot do anything about it. they gave me two options of discounts to help with the cost and I responded for the Offer 2:
• 100% credit of your monthly Membership fee for April
• Extend your existing term for an additional 3 months at the same price

So I basically had to pay 12 months of membership for space I cannot use due to pandemic. I never got notification for the first renewal. So this month, when I logged into my account in my app, it says that it auto renewed again already in February 4. I tried to cancel it in the app but says it won't be canceled until March 2022. I called the account help desk and the person I talked to said that she will ask approval from her manager to terminate it since it doesn't technically start til next month. The person emailed me this morning saying that I will have to talk to t he sales person in the local office for my agreement to be changed to a short term instead. I called that person in the local Regus office but he said he doesn't have capability to do it and that I have to call the account help desk again since they are the one who can make the change. I called the account help desk again and the person said he cannot do it either. I was passed to 4 more people after that and no one can do anything. One person keep saying that I got emails of the renewal. This is false, I never got any notification and all I get from Regus is notification of invoice and when I pay it. For a pandemic like this, you would think that a company like this will be willing to help you make adjustments for memberships/working space you cannot use. People cannot afford to pay a whole year for something they cannot use.

Desired outcome: Change agreement to short term if it cannot be terminated right away or at least ability to pause it for couple of months.

Billed twice for October and then charged late fees on a bill that wasn't owed in the first place. Late fees from a duplicate invoice in October followed month to month to month. In fact, a bill from October still shows unpaid...

Regus Contract agreement for co-working space at egl - spaces bangalore

Hello,
I need to bring in to your attention that I had signed a co-working space with Regus Bangalore in August 2019 for my one man startup. However, it wasn't a financially viable proposition for me, so on January 5th 2020, I requested the customer service representative to help me come out of the arrangement. Again on 15th January 2020, I followed up but without any resolution. I was traveling to USA to scout out for opportunities but nothing worked for me. I sent in a formal notice of termination of contract as it was financially not possible for me to carry on. I received the acceptance of the same termination immediately but the date of termination was mentioned as end of the original contract. I had already paid up till March - April 2020 besides 2 months security deposit. I have received a message yesterday regarding debt recovery from an agent, which is quite unprofessional as Regus fails to accept the situation of a one man startup. I am writing to you with a request to help me sort this out amicably, as I can't be coerced to pay up for the period, I didn't use the facility and a formal notice of termination was also served. Sateesh Chandra, [protected]@verityscale.com, Bangalore, India

Desired outcome: Amicable settlement of accepting the date of termination as was communicated.

Regus Disposal of my business paperwork without my consent

I had just found the co working space and was excited at marketing my business when the whole of the UK was placed on full lockdown.

Whilst away from the office the management team decided to make changes to the co working office.

In doing so management without contacting me and without my consent disposed of 25 years of business paperwork which consisted of research, work books and confidential client information from my locked under the desk cabinet.

Management admitted straight away that they had made the mistake of disposing of my 25 years of paperwork and destroying my business but then turned it on me stating that I should have been insured.

I wrote various letters to both the manager of Kingwilliam Street and his line manager.

I have spoken to accounts team and asked for the overall line manager, they refused me that information, I asked for their complaints procedures and have been ignored, in fact after destroying my business they were then trying to chase me for money for rent.

They have blatantly destroyed my business and have shown disregards to their actions in doing so.

I believe the CEO of Regus, IWG and other board members should be totally embarrassed about how un professional their staff have been.

I want someone to contact me to discuss my desired outcome for destroying my business.

Regus Services in general and lack of commitment

Good day,
My name is Hiba Ibrahim and I am the Managing Director of Luster for Marketing solutions based in Jordan Amman, and I am a Tenant in Al Gardens Building Account number [protected]
honestly, one of the things that I truly regret is being a tenant at Regus, the main reason I rented an office is because of the services and facilitations they should have provided and they claim they give and the most important service for me is the licensing I get to proceed with my work
It has been two months now and nothing has been done the license is not out, I have lost 3 tenders because of this which is worth above 50k, I am not able to proceed with the invoicing for the same reason as taxation department request the license and not able to move even forward with my employees and their social security for the same reason
I have sent several emails to the country manager, no response all I hear that your lawyers are asking for extra few days to handle and nothing is happening
This is way very frustrating and above all, I have received an email today to pay for the coming month! So sorry but does that makes sense, and the secretary told me that those things are separate really harming my business for false commitment is ok and separate from me paying the rest
I am contacting you here and I am expecting a solution as long jordan team is not cooperative and not professional at all
I will give extra 48 hours for someone to handle my problem properly and reach out professionally with the right way of handling a crisis or I will go to court with my case and will ask my lawyers to handle this officially and not in a good term as we have been doing for the past two months

Desired outcome: get the papers ready for the license, compensation for all the harm done , commitment for better client servicing

Regus Fraudulent billing by regus

I leased a shared office space at 6th and Main in Portland, Oregon for a 1-month agreement from 7/1/2020 - 7/31/2020. I then entered into a month-to-month agreement for 8/1/2020 - 8/31/2020 and 9/1/2020 - 9/30/2020, with each agreement having a separate contract. I moved out of my shared office space on 9/30/2020 as per my agreement. On 10/23/2020, my credit card was automatically charged without my authorization for the amount of $589.15. This equates to 2 additional months of rent for 10/1/2020 - 10/31/2020 and 11/1/2020 - 11/30/2020. I assumed that this was in error and contacted my property manager at 6th and Main, who confirmed that my lease had ended on 9/30/2020 and provided documentation to support that. I then contacted Regus Customer Service to correct the billing error and was asked to provide a copy of my contract, which I did. Despite this, the billing error was never corrected. I have since called Customer Service 10+ times, have not been able to speak to an agent, am on hold an average of 1.5 hours per call, sometimes have the option to request a callback due to high call volume but do not receive a callback. I have sent multiple emails asking for help with this issue, and have provided the copy of my contract as supporting documentation, but either do not receive a response to my email, or receive a response stating that I owe payment for October and November 2020 without explanation. I ended my lease on 9/30/2020, moved out of the space, and was assessed an end of lease cleaning fee at that time as well. I also requested return of my retainer (equivalent of 1-month's rent) at the time of my lease's end on 9/30/2020, but Regus is withholding this as well. I am now receiving threatening emails from Regus stating that my overdue payment will be sent to a collection agency and an attorney.

Desired outcome: Resolution of fraudulent billing claims and return of withheld retainer

Hi Sandra, I have tried to email you and the Regus Helpdesk numerous times and have still received no response. I have submitted proof repeatedly of my contract end date of 9/30/2020, and have submitted written confirmation from the local Regus property management office. I am still getting bills for overdue payment for Oct and Nov 2020. My security deposit has now been applied to the erroneously billed amount, instead of being returned to me. Can you please advise on any updates? Or please call the local Regus property manager to discuss and resolve the billing error.

To folks reading this, please be advised of the predatory business practices of Regus globally. Moreover, the contact information left on this thread by Regus is disingenuous and is unlikely to result in help, resolution, or simply a response.

I paid $1250 for a retainer and the first month office space. I was told that I couldn't move into the office until Oct 1, 2o22. Before I could move in I got an invoice to pay rent again by the 15th of Oct. Meanwhile 15 days is not a first month rent. I asked for a prorated amount and Regus refused to do so, although the office space was occupied by another company the whole moth of Sept 2022. Now, and still I don't have a key and am suspended and today restricted and still being billed.
