Regus billed for a contract signed through a click through

Last year I was exploring for a service office for a company I was setting up and came across Regus. The sales person was aggressive and followed up closely with an offer that is time bound. Through an email I clicked through, I was told I have signed the contract. I wrote to them that it is a mistake and they say I am not allowed to cancel the contract. They invoiced me every month for something I didnt even agree on. Now they got a debt collector to ask me to pay $2300.

This is the most ridiculous, unethical company I have ever come across. I urged all business owners to think twice before even contacting them.

Regus lying reps and unethical business practices

DO not rent with Regus. Their reps lie about the contracts they make you sign, then spend weeks telling you one thing verbally and committing to it 100%. When you try to move out they will try and tack on thousands of dollars of extra fees, even more than your deposit. And you will be left with trying to find a lawyer or paying thousand s back to them. I guess they figure that the cost of hiring a lawyer is more than paying them more.

Disgraceful, and completely against their stated policy of ethics "To carry out our business fairly, honestly and transparently".

I am a paying business owner that is renting office space at your cedar bluff location in Knoxville Tn 37923. I am complaining about my rent going up every month to no fault of my own. I've only been here for 3 months and every month there's a different price for the rent. I have had meetings and numerous emails back and forth with my area manager. I have...

Regus failed to pay the deposit back and ignoring all the communications

Our company is based in UK had an office space with Regus, Dhaka. We left the centre year ago, and since then we've been chasing them (the London team who sold us the agreement, Dhaka centre, Helping desk, Regus.com and even wrote to parent company in Switzerland) to pay back the deposit but with no luck. Dhaka team blamed the local bank system which is blocking their payment transfer.
They have not offered any alternative or cooperated with our solutions like paying us using business card instead of traditional bank transfer, or using western union as an second option.
What is worse, since we terminated our account, they kept charging our account for international phone calls made by other members of their community. The centre was careless to prevent this or take an action to protect our records.
Sadly, for a year now and still not able to getting Regus to respect the law . I have not seen such a careless corporate as Regus, no organisation and no complaining system in place. All our emails and online complains went unanswered.

Regus office rental

Nicola Harris Breach two contracts, I was a member of Regus for 3 years. Until Jessica Rosin and Nicola Harris came to the office, I had a pleasant experience. Jessica and Nicola Harris are both unprofessional and rude, they both lack basic customer service. Complaints to leadership will only have these two barbarians target you and your business further, I had one mont left on my lease and Nicola Harris terminated the lease with no reason given. I renewed the lease back in June for two years which makes it two leases were breached, my phone and access key cards were disabled back in June, prior to her sending notice. This is deemed personal since I always complain about their lack of professionalism, Don't rent from REGUS especially the Brooklyn Metrotech office. Billing will always be incorrect and they won't be able to explain it to you, but instead will give you the run around and be rude to you. Nicola Harris should be fired and taught basic customer service.

Regus contractual issues and added fees

September 11, 2018

Re: Alert to businesses seeking Suites Office Spaces

Our small business was located within a suites office in Las Vegas. A few years ago this office was purchased by Regus. We decided to stay because of the location and have since renewed our leases, via annual contract, each of the past few years with no issues. However, Regus sent our new contract to us in May, 2018 to cover August, 2018 thru July, 2019. The contract presented to us at that time was in order and it was signed and returned.

The first week of July we received the initial invoice for the ongoing service to begin in August. But now, after a number of years at the Regus office they had included a security deposit with our fees equal to a month of service. The issues with us and contractually are:

1. There was no mention of a security deposit when Regus presented our new contract in May, either in writing or verbally;
2. Had we been informed of a security deposit, after several years as a client, we would not have signed a new contract to continue with Regus and would have terminated their services in May, a full 3 months before our current agreement was to expire;
3. As soon as the invoice came in with the additional, non-contractual charge, we immediately sent a letter of termination; and
4. Regus, with the addition of this fee that was not presented at the time of the renewal contract had breached the upcoming contract, therefore making it null and void.

Since terminating our agreement with Regus we have received ongoing invoices from them, with late charge fees. We have not only contacted their local office, but the office of the CEO of Regus USA in Dallas, Texas, to no avail. We have offered, as their contract states, to go to arbitration to settle the dispute and have agreed to abide by the decision of that arbitrator. Regus apparently does not wish to use these settlement services, which would force them to abide by the arbitration decision, even though that is the remedy for disputes as outlined in their own contract. Instead they have now turned the disputed amount over to a ‘COLLECTION' agency, with their target being the CEO of our company. Could this possibly be perceived as being done this way for any other reason than to have an individual harassed? We are a "C" corporation in the state of Nevada and the Regus contract was with the corporation, not any corporate officer individually.

We at CS Executive Marketing have always chosen to do business by giving every client of ours more than what was called for contractually. Yes, we a for profit business, but never at the expense of our reputation.

Regus office spaces

My name is Thanos Dolmatzis and I'm in the unpleasant position to complain regarding Regus Greece.
Specifically, during discussions with Mr. Nikolakopoulos Phillipos (Area Manager Greece) I explained to him very clearly that the purpose of the company is an educational institute, thus according to the Greek legislation certain certificates were compulsory in order to initiate and register the company to the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen.
My colleague Ms. Michalopoulou, at Oct 9th 2017, before signing the contract of agreement sent to Mr. Nikolakopoulos an email with the necessary documents.
After twenty days, at Oct 27th 2017, Mr. Nikolakopoulos replied to our request that according to the company's statutes cannot provide and meet our needs.
Nevertheless, Mr. Nikolakopoulos had already proceeded with the charge of my credit card although he wasn't really aware if he could deliver our request, so at Oct 29th 2017 I sent him an email of opposition against the contract, asking him at the same time to refund the amount since we never made any use of the offices.
The amount of refund should consist of two invoices of total 432 Euros (four hundred and thirty two).
Unfortunately, Mr. Nikolakopoulos not only never refunded the invoices mentioned above, but to the repeated nuisance from me and my attorney he had always been giving us vague promises of refund but as at today I have not received anything.
By using cheap excuses that my case was forgotten and he will look right into it, he never refunds the money.
My guess is that because the amount of refund is low, he assumes that I won't go into legal action against Regus Company and he has no intention to refund the money ever!
Regus is an international company with outstanding reputation and I sincerely appeal to your intervention in order to resolve my problem and invert my disappointing and frustrating experience because of Mr. Nikolakopoulos.

Regus poor customer service and office was smaller size than what I was signed up for!

Hi,
My name is Cony and account number is 9152801.
I recently signed up for a new office space on the 3rd floor of 18 Soho Square, which I was told would be available from 1st September. The office was sold to me as 4.4 square meters, roughly 2.4m x 1.8m. However when viewing the office on Thursday 16th, the office turned out to be far smaller than this at 2.3m X 1.4m, which would be too small and not suitable for my business.

I immediately contacted Joseph about this problem, but I have still not received any solution to the above problem and time is running out. I am finding it hard to get hold of Joseph and I am becoming increasingly concerned about what I am going to do as September is fast approaching.

Please, if there is anything you can do to help bring this to a quick resolution I would be very grateful. Unfortunately as I need an office space from September, I really need to know where I stand and if this is not possible soon, I will need to request the cancellation of the contract and refund of my deposit so I can start looking for an alternative office space.

I do hope we can come up with a solution soon and look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
Cony

Regus auto-renewal of my lease without my knowledge, charging my credit card without my consent.

I leased an office only for two months in Downtown San Jose, but Regus have Auto-renewed my lease (don't even know for HOW LONG) and keep charging thousands of dollars on my credit card without my consent. I have called them hundreds of times, sent them emails, they promised to try to help me resolve the issue and refund my deposit almost $1100, other charges of $2600+ and $1200+. From what I read on BBB and other sites, this company is scamming hundreds of customers by this dirty trick of auto - renewal of lease. I demand my full deposit back, and full refund of all the money that has been charged to my credit card without my consent.

Regus rental agreement - regus didn't, cancel bullies business owners & entrepreneurs

I've been a tenant for two years with Regus in Beverly Hills and recommended it to my fellow entrepreneurs, I had multiple offices and I was always paying on time as agreed all this time. After the first year I requested from the manager that all the offices to go on a month to month basis, unfortunately they didn't cancel all my offices and some offices auto renew for another year. When I gave them a proper notice over 30 days that I wanted to leave, they bullied me and said that they will ruin my credit and will take me to creditors. I'll never ever rent from them again. I'm just a small business owner, trying to do things right. then I found out they tag all of those extra fees, like exit fees, cleaning, business continuity? This is sad to see the abuse they are doing to small business, and how they are taking advantage of business owners and entrepreneurs.

Hi

Accounts email said Aug 22 they would refund and funds would be in 5 to 7 days.

Today is 3rd September and no funds received. Is this how Regus operates? I always believed Regus was a Hugh and reputable organisation but why is it not reliable in the refunds?

Hi

Just for your info...details were already entered into online system before one month before i vacated the office.

it is only after i wrote in that someone finally called me about this and there was no satisfactory reason for delay. Blaming it on system is not an acceptable answer.

i look forward to getting the funds after your pay run. thanks.

Regus regus delays returning deposit 9 months!!

We duly cancelled our lease at 801 Brickell, Miami, Florida USA in november 2017 and now 9 months after confirmation of cancellation, confirmation that deposit is due and confirmation of receipt of the ACH form for bank transfer they requested for, we are still stuck with helpdesk-clerks and the funds are still not returned. When I signed the lease-contract I was assisted by 3 people, including the manager and regional manager. Now that the contract has been duly cancelled, the manager did not want to come to the frontdesk to speak to me and when she came it was all arrogance, finally referring to a helpdesk with people that have not been keeping up promises so far. we are now pending a manager that have to approve

Regus unable to settle dues to regus due to non access to regus account

Period of Incident: 25th June 2018 - August 2018
Regus Account number: 6464209
Location: Mountain View, California, USA

Issue:
We have a corporate account with Regus in the name of Capillary Technologies Inc. We stopped receiving invoices since July 2017 due to which we are unable to clear the outstanding dues to Regus.

1)As I wanted to clear the dues I did reach out to Regus help desk @ +1 [protected] and they refused to give me information stating that my name is not there as one of the Authorized person and responses can be given to only the Authorized persons. On the phone call they also did confirm that Mr. Sridhar S is one of the Authorized persons. When Mr. Sridhar called Help desk they confirmed that Sridhar is also not one of the Authorized person which is clearly contradictory to earlier statements. On the same call they did ask us to drop an email post which the account will be unlocked. We sent an email on account.[protected]@regus.com 29th June 2018. We got no immediate response even after multiple follow-ups. Finally, on 20th July 2018 we got a response stating that they would not be able to complete the task as our name is not in the contact list
2) I called them couple of times post 29th June 2018 and in one of the calls they told us that our account is no longer with Regus and it has been handed over to collections department. On further discussion I was informed that they will reinstate the account back to Regus which will take 48 hours from request. Post that we will get an email from Regus confirming the same. We never got the email.
3) In another call one of the help desk attendant informed me that an email was initiated to unlock the account and email will be sent shortly and we never got an email for this also. On the same phone call, I did share my email and the attendant confirmed that the email was sent to my email to unlock the account. This also never happened.
4) On 20th July 2018, one of Capillary's representative visited the Mountain View office. They informed us that only option was to get in touch with Regus help desk. They also did confirm that our account was handed over to collections on 28th February 2018. Our representative reach out to the collection team. However, there was no response.

Conclusion: We are still trying to find out a way as to how we can get our Regus account unlocked and clear the dues.

Regus center manager

I rent an office out of the Web-Gin Snellville location. I've rented 4 dif. offices in 3 yrs. I was always happy with the previous managers until Ashley Lewis came to our location, about 80% of the tenants are unhappy with her attitude, she makes renting unbearable. She makes us feel uncomfortable in her demeanor we as a group have decided as long as she's in management we will not renew our lease. Ashley is not polite and seems miserable all the time. I rent a private office alone with VPR.
I love the location clients as wee, but Ashley makes going to work a headache.

Regus billing systems etc

Horrible billing systems. Submitted June rent on time. Their system bounced the payment. The only way I knew this was by checking MY bank statement. You would think the on-site person would have alerted me to this. $130 late fee! And they want their rent 2-3 weeks ahead of time. What planet are they on?

Me and 4 other tenants are going to buy a building and split the costs. BTW their printer/facsimile machine are always down. The bathrooms in this building area horrible ( I cannot send my clients in to them). The only good thing about this office is the proximity to home.

Regus reception/mail service

I have rented with Regus in Mainland China since 2012. We never had any issues with them and their staff has always gone above and beyond. However, we are traveling to Hong Kong and have some items shipped to their one of their branches there. We have emailed ahead of time with the Mainland China center coordinating. Guess what? I get the rudest answer to NOT send the package we need in their Hong Kong office and was not even gracious enough to offer solutions to this.

Regus receptionist and staff / rude and unethical behavior

July 13, 2018, Friday

The receptionist in Eco Tower Building, 32nd Street cor. 9th Avenue, Taguig, 35/F &36/F Penthouse, units 1, 2 and 4, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila, Claire, was rude on the phone about receiving delivery for one of their clients, Amazon Web Services. She said to have the items delivered between 9am-1pm so we decided to deliver it by 1pm. We had a call before the delivery to ask if there was anyone available to help with bringing up the many heavy items for their client and she said no one was available. So we asked for a cart instead but she told us to get the cart from the office, bring it down to load the items, then bring the items to the 35th floor. When we arrived at the reception area, she was chatting with a friend who didn't seem to be from work and totally ignored us. We called her attention, and that was the only time she looked for people to show us the room where to leave the items. The two two who were wearing Regus polo shirts just stood in the reception so we asked if we were waiting for anyone or anything and one of the boys said they were just waiting for us (we were two small girls). They let us push the cart all the way to the room where we need to drop the items, they were none of help at all. I believe their sole job is to be helpful, but they were the complete opposite. They were rude, unaccomodating, and acted non-chalant. I am disappointed at Regus' way of training their staff as I expect better accomodation. This is not the first time I encountered rudeness and unethical behavior with Regus staff. Makes me think of bringing my business elsewhere.

I would like to keep my identity anonymous and private. I just don't want this to happen to anyone working in or visiting any Regus center.
