Amazing app!
I love replit.com, and I feel like I am also going to love the replit app! I have always wanted a mobile app for replit if I had to use it on the go, and this helps a lot. The layout of the map is also perfect for mobile. Overall amazing quality so far
Too good
This and the CodeSandbox app are both the final solution for anyone who is wanting to get into coding or code on the go. It has literally anything you could possibly want and more. I’ve been using repl.it since 2019 and it warms my heart to see how popular it is now
Best coding for mobile!
I’ve tried about 10 other apps to try out and check out its syntax highlighting, UI, responsiveness, functionality, and this app by far has more power, versatility, speed, and above all designes for mobile in mind. Looking forward to future improvements and implementations.
Has some problems, but good
This works pretty well, and I understand that in order to comply with appstore rules we can't see community posts, but the only thing I want is can you PLEASE add ipad support? So for now, I'll be editing in the "Code App" IDE (yes, that is its name). Good for everything else though!
This app is way better than expected
After playing around on the browser version on desktop, I thought I’d be disappointed by the app. It’s actually really solid, and if I have ideas or want to show someone a project I have it handy right in my phone. Very happy to have found out that Replit made an app that’s virtually the same as their website.
Great app, but…
The app is great I love it but I noticed that the scrollable toolbar for special characters like brackets and curly braces and parentheses, etc. only appears for node.js / JavaScript IDE
vs other languages. Would like to see it accessible for all languages. Not sure if it’s a bug or if there’s a reason behind it.
Why is landscape mode forced on iPad?
Portrait mode works excellent on iPhone - devs, all you have to do is turn off forced landscape mode. Please? 30 second fix to make life more convenient for iPad users.
I was so disappointed to have received my iPad today to find I can’t use Replit in portrait. Why though? Code is better in portrait mode.
Please?
Very Good But…
I have been a replit user for over 2 years.
I noticed that the app is lacking profile editing capabilities such as editing profile picture and changing username.
I do realize that the app was only released a couple days ago, but these are some features my friend was explicitly looking for when he downloaded the app.
CODING ON PHONE!
I cannot overstate how revolutionary this is. For the first time ever, there is a fully functional app where you could code in any programming language right from your phone. This is the best thing that has happened in the tech world in years.
You could make full websites, artificial intelligence chatbots, or quick games.
Surprisingly decent
Retains most of the website IDE’s functionality while also providing a clean, sleek interface. Very helpful for when you need to debug a program away from home but forgot to bring your laptop.
Just hope the devs add some GUI buttons for mobile-unsupported keys (e.g. Esc, Ctrl, Arrows) and maybe a menu for browsing public Community apps.
It’s a great app but only for phone not iPads
I am an iPad user and when I login, I can’t use it in full screen in iPad and it seems like this app is not for iPads only for phones, I would really appreciate if you guys could add full screen for iPads, then I could fully code in My iPad Pro. Great app, only worries is that how my data is being used, Other than that My only suggestion is the you guys ADD; iPad Full SCREEN. That’s it.
Console Resets, No Paste, Heap Limit in TS
While it is really cool to have a fully fledged coding environment, I have had trouble running code on it. The first and major quirk is the fact when you switch between apps, you reset the Console. Second is that there is no copy and paste into the console anyway. They'd make sense to fix together. Third is that I reached heap limit allocation in Typescript mode at first attempt using it.
This the best
I was trying to find the perfect app for me to use for coding and this is the one. All the other apps like needed money subscribtions and also did not have all the coding stuff i needed but this one is free and has all the stuff i need i recommend everyone use this app! This app encouraged me to start coding in the just few days of using this and now am becoming better and better. Thank you for realesing this wonderful app
I allways have loved replit ever since I used the website
I allways have loved replit ever since I used the website and this feels like a amazing dream that they made a mobile app I just use like flask and I can seem to find it so when I need to use a flask project on my phone I have to make one on my laptop and then I can edit it on my phone so I really hope some time in the future that replit can add spme more languages to the mobile app I’m still giving it 5 stars because of how awesome it is!
Login in glitch for Replit
I love programming on Replit’s desktop website and I had a good experience with it. I decided to download the Replit mobile app and give that a try. Sadly, I didn’t even get past the login screen. The page loaded and I typed in my credentials but when I clicked the login button, it wasn’t even loading the new page, it just stayed on the login screen. It wasn’t my internet because the connection was good (I tested it), maybe it’s a glitch? Do you guys know what the problem might be? Could you guys maybe fix that? Otherwise, Replit is a great platform! Thank you guys!
Not a coder, but this might help me become one
I’ve been poking around this app despite not knowing much about coding, and found the interface to be surprisingly intuitive. Within minutes I created a nice looking spoof website from an open-source template, and for the most part it’s obvious what sort of things I can do. I would really appreciate a tutorial for beginners or at least some indication of what more technical words mean (what is “repls”? What does “shell” do?), but I understand that I’m not the target audience here and most who use the app will already know such things. Regardless, for the most part I’m finding the experience to be quite intuitive. Kudos to the developers for making a coding interface so friendly to newcomers!
Good start to a mobile repl!
It’s obviously not the same as having a computer by you, but it’s cool to be able to test out an idea on the go, or on a long flight. A couple improvements could make it better: 1. Would really be nice to see a bar input above the text pad for convenient access to frequently used characters: # { } [ ] ‘ “ ! | : & @ + = ^ % / ; Typing on a phone is already slow enough as it is without needing to go searching for special characters. 2. Also, pasting is a little faulty. You have to highlight an area to past something you’ve copied. So if you want to paste on an empty line, it doesn’t respond. So you have to type a bunch of letters and then highlight it to see the normal menu for options pop up.
Excellent website, OK app
The website is incredible as a free, simple, online cloud IDE, but this app is lacking. There’s a decent amount of functionality that is missing, that the full website offers.
My biggest gripes with this app being actually practical to use as an iOS, on the go, IDE are that you can’t use it in horizontal mode and you can fly zoom in or out. Those two things are kind of essential for user-friendly mobile apps, if any kind, but particularly for an IDE, where you’ll be dealing with tons of text and need to have it separated into sections.
As of right now, the app just automatically cuts your lines of code and mishmashes them everywhere, obscuring your indentations and modules. Fix that and this would be the best IDE on the App Store, no lie.
Lots of potential! Super great work
Overall so thankful for this product, the mobile version still feels a bit beta though !
Some things that would be great:
1) ai code explanation: I’ve used the feature a lot on desktop and can’t seem to find it on mobile. But highlighting code and having it explained would be magical.
2) landscape mode… can’t seem to get that to work. My code keeps jumping to the next line in portrait mode even though I made the text “tiny”
3) my tabs keep deleting. I.e I open specific files, but they keep getting closed and sent back to the default tabs :/ kinda annoying to dig through the file nave system every time to open up the same files.
Sincerely so thankful for this awesome product. Keep it up! Feel free to reach out for more specificity on the feature requests :)

Bad
It would be really cool but they make you PAY to have private projects
It makes no sense for this to exist but not an ipad version
This is would be useful if you can read any of the text without it cutting into new lines or if we could at least be able to flip the device horizontally
Not optimized for iPadOS
I was quite excited for this native version of Replit until I realized it was designed for tiny phone screens. I suppose the web app will have to do for now.

iPad Support is Lacking
You would think this would be the ultimate combo with the iPad and Magic Keyboard... But the iPad app is just a zoom iPhone app that only fills the middle 1/4 of the screen. Very disappointing. I'll check back later to see if this is fixed.
Can’t even access teams
