Repwest Insurance Company Burglary, stolen property, claim denied without full investigation

My U-haul storage was burglarized between Nov & Dec 2021, I'm not exactly sure when as I didn't hear anything about my unit being "locked opened, " until 12/27/21 which is over a month after I last accessed it on 11/09/21. On 01/09/22 I put in a claim with Repwest, 01/10/22 I received a voicemail and 2 emails from Jewel Clemente. I called Ms. Clemente back on 01/11/2022, explained the situation and was told what I needed to send in which is the same items in the email, I asked if I can send pictures and was told I can, I asked Ms. Clemente how long will it take to hear anything and was told she didn't have a timeframe until she receives the items for the investigation.
2 days later 1/13/21 I received an email from Ms. Clemente saying my claim was denied because there was no forced entry and "Safestor coverage does not cover loss as a result of theft or mysterious disappearance." My items are not magic and didn't just "mysteriously disappear, " my storage was broken into and my items were stolen, and I didn't even send in my items so Ms. Clemente fake investigation into my claim was not not done correctly, as a one sided investigation isn't thorough investigation.
I last access the unit on 11/9/21, the last time I used the U-haul card and entered the building was 12/19/21 but I didn't go to the unit because I realized I forgot my key and walked right back out; cameras and login entry will show this, if the card shows any dates other than 11/09, and 12/26 of me using the card and entering the building it needs to be questioned since those are the only two dates I accessed the building using the card, on 12/19 I tried to use the card but it was after 11pm and wouldn't work, so I don't know if that will show up on the log. I spoke with someone on 12/09 and 12/20 but no one mentioned that my storage was "locked opened, " and James the GM lied claiming they don't keep records of when the card is used and claimed he couldn't pull it up when I told him to. I made my payments on time, my last payment was made over the phone on 12/9/21, so if I left it "locked opened, " since November as the GM James falsely claimed I did then I would have just taking all my items out, instead of making a payment in November and in December, I made these payments because I trusted that my items were locked up like I left it and safe at the U-haul storage unit, and for Ms. Clemente to lie about investigating my claim in two days without given me time to submit my evidence to her and claim there were no signs of forced entry, and that my items "mysteriously disappeared, " is a slap in the face because it feels like she is indirectly saying I stole my own items and refuse to fully investigate my claim. I am the one who asked James multiple times on 12/27 if there are cameras and if I can see the videos to see who broke into my storage, because I believed there were cameras near my storage unit, I also called U-Haul customer service and spoke with an agent inquiring on if they kept records of when the card is used and demanded James show it to me. If I knew what happened to my items like he and Ms. Clemente are indirectly saying, then I wouldn't have pressed for that information because it would incriminate me, and I'm aware that a false claim is illegal and would get me in trouble but I wanted to prove I had nothing to do with my unit being burglarized and wanted to find out what really happened, and still want to know what really happened. I'm the only one with access to the storage, and the dates I accessed it was 09/09/21 when I first got it, late October I can't remember the exact date, I didn't use the card that day because it was business hours so the doors were opened, 11/09 the last time I went into the storage unit and 12/27 the day I found out my items were stolen. I used the card on 11/09, 12/26, and I tried on 12/19 but it was after 11pm so it didn't work. So Unless Ms. Clemente seen these videos or had access to the lock on the storage unit there is no way she could say there wasn't any force entry and because I paid for the lock I have it so if Ms. Clemente did receive a lock my fingerprints will not be on it because it's not the lock that was used on the storage when I had it, and if she seen the video then that would mean I was lied to when I was told that there are no cameras near my storage unit, which would be suspicious because it's one thing to not show me the video maybe for legal reasons or whatever, but it's a different story to flat out lie about having video of what happened to my storage unit. I was also told that the procedure to inform me that my unit was "locked opened, " wasn't done correctly as I was suppose to have been told the day it was discovered, giving up to the end of that business day to come to the location to resolve it, if I didn't come then the lock would be removed the next day and placed in the unit and a new lock put on, also the person making the call was suppose to have had someone record them at the storage unit showing what they were saying for their protection and to show that it was opened, none of that was done. According to James my unit was left opened since 11/09, this meant by 11/10 he should've called me, and told me but he didn't do that, he didn't leave me a voicemail until 12/08, a month later and I didn't receive it until 12/27, I also spoke to someone on 12/09 and 12/19 and was never told about my storage was "locked opened, " this is why I strongly believe it was an inside job because there was absolutely no reason for the staff to not have followed proper protocols unless one or more of them were involved in the burglary of my storage unit, and yes this was a burglary not a mysterious disappearance. My lock was picked opened and the scratches on it shows it was tampered with. Because of this I want full compensation for my stolen property and I will seek any legal actions I can if I don't receive it, I am hoping it doesn't get that far, but I will pursue it if necessary because I strongly believe this burglary was an inside job, research shows u-haul disc locks are easy to pick open, I was told there are only cameras at the front entrance which means U-haul is falsely advertising to be a safe secure location with cameras strategically placed throughout the building, my claim was not thoroughly investigated, and I am being made to feel like I did something wrong because I trusted this u-haul location. I didn't even get the chance to submit my evidence so how exactly did Ms. Clemente get enough information to investigate the facts and circumstances of my claim involving "disappearance" of items from
my storage unit, and had enough information to make a decision on it under your Safestor Protection. She never contacted me to get all the dates I went to the storage unit, she doesn't know what I look like and didn't ask me to submit identification to her in case there was a video, so how is a one-sided possibly speaking to the GM James who lied to my face and probably the staff at the location a thorough investigation that provided "enough evidence?" They are not going to admit to anything. I am submitting several collages of pictures of the lock, emails, and denial letter from Ms. Clemente.

Desired outcome: Compensation of stolen property, reimbursement for the payment of storage since it was not secure like advertised.

I received notification that my complaint was responded to, however I do not see a response. I have tried to see the response when signed in and out and still it does not show up, so I am not sure of what's going on.

Repwest Insurance Company U haul

A uhual truck ran stop sign when I had right of way the driver which I feel look like he'd been drinking said he didnt see me because of the glare from sun. I hired attorney who says repwest is giving the run around. Repwest had a appraisal done and 5000 plus in damages were sustained. My attorney has been asking them for weeks when can we began repairs. It's been over 2 months since accident finally claim specialist advised they are still doing investigation and that they haven't accepted fault yet which is crazy when the iddoit driver is 100 percent at fault. Thank God my kids are ok I substained broken rib which hurt like hell for over a month. I am stuck driving a car which is not safe I hope too hell we go to court cause I will sue the hell out this company if this isn't resolved soon

Repwest Insurance Company Was hit by a uhaul truck and employee

Was hit by a uhaul truck and employee. And they had me get an estimate and then sent over an appraiser which he said we should get a check in 5-6 business days and repwest adjuster just says he'll get back to me but nothing yet he doesn't reply back to me any more. The estimate was for a Lil over$2400 . I just got my car not long before that happened now it looks like crap.

Repwest Insurance Company Claim # [protected]-2021

Hello, its almost 30 days when U-Haul truck hit my car while I was filling Gas in my car at Gas Station.
Provided all documents, what Jonathan Warner asked for in the 1st week of Nov, 2021.
Preliminary estimate of repair shop is $ 2402.60. which I sent to Jonathan in the 1st week of Nov, 2021 while Jonathan sent me check of $2051.56. and told me that all over USA, its the cost.

Preliminary estimate is from European Collision center, San Francisco.

it very clear that I been discriminated by your Company as my name is FAROOQ IMAM. otherwise, how openly dishonor the preliminary estimate of car repair shop?

Desired outcome: whatever the total cost of repair as your U-haul truck hit my car while I was taking gas

At least u got paid I haven't got any thing and I sent documents also and it was an employee of uhaul in uhaul truck that hit me. How did u get paid so fast? Then they sent over an appraiser after they had me go get an estimate. Did they send an appraiser over to you after you sent them the estimate? Just curious. They need to get right with people for sure

on 11/07/2021in between the hours of 11:45pm and 4:15am my uhaul was vandalised.i contacted the east haven ct06513 an there officer's took my info and left. i priced both driveran rear driverside windows locally at whalley glass new haven ct 06511. priced 939.12 due to this matter i had void a planned trip and resevation cost

Repwest Insurance Company Repwest moving insurance

I recently filed a claim on a mattress that was damaged during a move with rep west. I had receipts to support the new purchase of the mattress less than six months ago and set up by Mattress Firm. I also had pictures supporting the damage that was done during the move. Ultimately the insurance company made contact with the movers and the mover said they did not do the damage and they denied my claim. If they're going to just take the word of the movers who caused the damage, why do they bother having the patrons submit all of this information. It was a waste of money to have their services in place. I also believe it looks bad to have them back and companies like U-Haul because it looks like they are all in cahoots together

Repwest Insurance Company Unethical behavior; payment not received

24 Aug 2021-Break in-two storage units
25 Aug 2021-Notified; I was out of town at the time
30 Aug 2021-Police report

At first, I thought my adjuster was incompetent since he refused to return all my phone calls and emails-weeks have passed.
In addition, I have sent digital "Contact me" forms to the company.
Lastly, I asked to speak to a supervisor; left Jason a message and still no contact from anybody.
This is not the behavior of a reputable company…If this isn't resolved immediately I will contact the authorities.

Repwest Insurance Company Storage unit at uhaul

On june 16th, 2021 I received a phone call from dan the new store manager of the uhaul cedar brook in berlin, new jersey and was asked if I got all my belongings out of the storage unit.. I am currently in florida and have been since january 2021 because my mother had stage 4 brain cancer and I moved her from jersey to florida to stay with me and put her belongings in their storage unit that is supposed to be secure with triggering alarms and 2 secured remote access gates to go through. I told dan I am in florida and my mother had recently just passed in february of 2021. And I have been paying by debit online every month prior to his phone call.. So he told me that all my stuff was gone and that prior to this they had a employee put on green locks about 6 weeks prior and that my storage to him he knew was mine so he was calling to let me know to contact repwest and fill out necessary forms to start my claim.. I was denied by michelle beltran from repwest not even 5 days later and I have been calling and leaving messages and no repsonse.. I'm at a lost for words and don't know what else to do.. I just want my belongings and good memories back of my mothers or payment even if there isn't a price for whats been stolen

Hello, I assure you I had a claim in for the uhaul in Berlin, NJ.. I know all my mothers and my belongings are gone and Dan the manager from store who is new said that my unit looks like it was swept out as well... I really don't know how that could be when I only had access to unit and I'm still in Florida been since Jan. 2021.. Dan also said he can't give me a day or time that my unit was broken into so ur telling me I paid every month and unit could have been empty but they can't tell me an actual day .. SOMETHING IS GOING ON AND I KNOW SOMEONE NEEDS TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED AND WHEN AND I DEMAND ANSWERS.. AND IF EACH UNIT HAS MOTIONED ALARMS WHY DIDNT ANYONE IN THE STORE HEAR OR NOTICE ANYTHING..

Repwest Insurance Company Repwest insurance I purchased to cover my household goods

some event occurred during the shipping of my household goods that caused two bicycles in the ubox to become airborne and land on two televisions in the other end of the ubox thus breaking the two tv's. I noticed when opening the ubox the padlock was smashed flat. I had to cut it off with bolt cutters.
I filed a claim and it was denied. Repwest claimed they do not insure for damage caused by "normal shifting of the load". The items in the ubox were packed professionally and wrapped well with pads including the tv's.

Desired outcome: pay for the two televisions.

Repwest Insurance Company Uhaul insurance

Accident happened two weeks ago and my car has still yet to be fixed (or even started). We have reached out numerous times via phone and online contact form with no response. Adjuster came out last Monday and we were told we would hear something by Wednesday, now it's the following Monday and NOTHING. They say phone calls are returned in 24 hours, but that's not the case. Can someone please contact us IMMEDIATELY about our claim? Communication is key and we've received very limited amounts. Most of what we have received has been initiated by us. And please don't come back with the "we tried to contact you" garbage.

Desired outcome: Call us back!!!! Stay in contact.

Repwest Insurance Company Not returning calls to take care of an issue

I rented a uhaul truck on July 2, 2021. In the process of trying to park off the road I knocked a persons bumper off. I paid for the insurance and was told to file a claim with rep west. I have made several attempts to get in touch with them so the matter can be resolved and these poor patient ppl need it fixed!
I have even tried going to the BBB to get things resolved and there not affiliated with the BBB.

Repwest Insurance Company Actual claim payment and issues sending payment

Yes claim # 158025 was asked to send as many invoices for my stolen goods, which I did only to be told I was only getting what police assumed payout should be and not seeing my invoices. Waste of time collecting all old receipts and invoices if determined by what police says things are valued at. My clothes and 4 pieces of luggage worth at least 1000. My box of 22 pair of shoes worth at least 600. 3 pairs purchased just this year 2021.250.00. What depreciation. Incident occurred between 05/29/21 -06/21/2021. Burglary 2 of storage unit in uhaul if Bricktown.. not to mention my toaster oven, my 22 inch insignua now up in value if replaced, antenna, heater, humidifier, coffee maker, headphones, bluetooth speaker, apple I pod touch 4th generation. Blankets, throws, comfier, supplements ×10 bottles. Bathroom box. Kirchen box pantry box jewelry (insurance does not cover jewelry) (also do not cover theft) only burglary. if proven. Important legal documents (identity theft) 2 more bags a duffle bag full of tools/ work gloves/ vest/ safety glasses. Power outlets ×2. A carry on bag full of work socks, diabetes socks, dress socks, footies mostly new. All appliances speakers tv in original boxes. except toaster oven and coffee maker. All shoes name Brand. expensive work shoes from artiats, timberland pros ×2, keens, solomons ×2 k dog's basketball and Adidas, Nike, under armour, 2 pair casual boots 3 pair casual shoes. Winter coat, hats gloves hats, visors hand bags backpack, and the list goes on. Large 30 gallon tote. Large hospital issued blue laundry bag. Happy proven burglary so started a claim. Both uhaul and repwest representatives were uncaring, rude, down right no compassion. So trying to get the started paid claim if a mere 694.00 minus 100 deductible. Supposedly to be deposited to me thru zelle. on 07/23/2021. After my loss pain and suffering and being without most my possessions just for basic survival. The payment gets rejected. calling all morning to figure who is to blame my bank, zelle, or the sender Repwest. Yes and guess who is to blame repwest. Haven't I suffered enough. Although offering to send paper check to physical address uncertified. Don't trust that option when zelle, safest, secure and fastest way to send. So they stop answering their phones after they stated they would call me back after lunch. Every person speaking with rude, unknowable, unprofessional, uncaring. Now understanding the 2 star rating. And my sole adj6ster very rude, cold, lacking customer service skills. Kathy curtis. Called back after recieving a voice mail and extensions # to return call. Called her back and she stated it was not her. so how did I get your extensions kathy. name left on voicemail. Even Dan Rouge in beginning stages before claim. Speaking to me angrily as though I was the thief if my own goods. It's like wow what an experience and ordeal and people should know and never be treated like this again. No better to do better. Get out if the crooked insurance business if it makes you act and perform that way knowing you are not being honest for must part. And you don't sleep well. Vengeance is mine said the lord!

When I am wrong I am willing to admit my mistake. My apologies for payment that was rejected due to having zelle recieve payments on a second checking account with my bank under a another name My son, so therefore names did not match the deposit recipient name. Fortunately while trouble shooting I corrected where to recieve payments thru zelle to account that matches my name my account. Please forgive me for false accusations on that part.

Also I see you totally dismissed my beginning complaint over my claims settlement value. Which stated was based off police report. Well police report stated total loss as 950.00. All values added up
It states 500, 200, 100, 50, 50, 30 = 930.00 trying figure how you came up with 694.00 and police report does not include invoices
Sent for bluetooth speaker, headphones, apple ipod, humidifier, heater, supplements
And wrist and shin wraps, 30 gallon tote,
All which you had current invoices for. Please explain. The difference in your quote and police quote and much more. Blankets
Leather coats etc adds even another 100.00
With my total estimate being at least a thousand dollars depreciation included.

Your response is false . All my information matches as payee on my end as well as yours. Kathy spoke to on friday 07/23/2021 and stated she would send payment .it 8s listed to have been sent thru but rejected on your end same day. Now I am being told 5yst it takes 24 to 48 hours to be issued but was issued same day kathy sent. Pleases get your information correct and all be on same page about your information. Also I have many extensions no one was answering phones. Stop blaming customers for your errors. Take responsibility to improve your rating as a company. Repwest have some integrity. Still no payment on 07/27/2021 . Posted again on 07/26/2021. Not released on your end ? .I prefer safe zelle rather than mail but need by your directions to wait another 24 hours . As far as my emails never recieve
d or sent if payment is rejected I won't recieve an email or text however my notifications are set up plus searched trash and spam for zelle. COMMUNICATION AND AND KNOWLEDGE ISSUES FOR REPWEST. AND EVERYONE ON VACATION!

Repwest Insurance Company Water leak damage in storage unit 071; claim 02253249 unit 071

Hello my name is Pearlie R, I used Repwest insurance company with U haul storage in De Soto Texas, I talk with you on the phone and I was appalled to hear you say to a paying insurance customer that you are not responsible for atmopheric change. Of course you are not responsible for
atmospheric change but you are responsible for providing a safe unit that I pay insurance for
It rained during the time the things was in storage when I went to get the belonging out and notice boxes were wet and water was on the floor I went and told the employee working in the office and he saw the damage and took a picture. He instructed me to move forward and file a claim.
Making sure my belonging are keep safe from theft and any other type of damage is your responsible to make sure
your units are well keep and your customer merchandise are protected the way it should be. We didn't have a option it was mandatory to take out insurance on our unit and It should be mandatory for Repwest to treat their customer with the same respect, if their is a insurance claim that have to be submitted. It should be against the law for a company of this nature to not deliver a claims when their is proof that their is damage and they are paying for insurance that covers it.

Desired outcome: The roof in the celling need repair work that your company refuse to do to fix a leak.

Repwest Insurance Company Failure to Pay for Vehicle Damages

On October15, 2020, I was involved in a three (3) vehicle accident, while stopped for a red light. My car was rear-ended by a commercial van, as a result of a U-Haul truck hitting the van, thus propelling it in to me. While there was no injuries, N.J. State Police investigated the scene and took statements. i provided a copy of the Police report to the RepWest Claims Adjuster, Mike Smith ([protected]@repwest.com; 833.228.0632 x 543138). Unfortunately, Mr. Smith has advised me that there is a holdup with payment to my claim, because the vehicle who hit me has failed to provide all necessary paperwork to RepWest for their claim. SO, after nearly nine (9) months, i have not been able to receive compensation for repairs to my vehicle. I feel that I'm getting the "run around" form RepWest and this adjuster and I'd like this matter resolved. The U-Haul driver was insured by RepWest Insurance and is responsible for this claim.

Repwest Insurance Company Insurance claim

Hello my name is Twila Holland and l used repwest for my insurance with uhaul storage company. Come to find out every time the weather permitted rain, it would seep into some of my storage bins. By the time I noticed, the water was stagnant and smelled rancid. I alerted uhaul and they told me to just take a few pics and to name whats in the bin. I asked did l have to go in it and she said no jist stand over it then leave the items for uhaul to verify and discard. I followed the directions and repwest said they wanted me to dig in the stagnant water and show them all the items. Uhaul has already discarded the items and now neither company says they are able to helpe in my situation. I dont understand why uhaul cant vouch for the items.

Desired outcome: If im not going to get my claim amout then id like my money back I paid all these months leading up to this claim date. Or am l suppose to take the loss on both ends?

Repwest Insurance Company To stop payment at this time.

My name is Rose Hammonds phone number [protected] I am requesting for all damage and to stop storage payment,

my storage unit it is infested with Rats I have been with the storage company i believe for 15 if or more years and never had to deal with this before, I was up at the storage last month and nothing was in there, there eating threw the bags and boxes I have fabric in there they are eating the fabric.
everything in storage is boxes, daycare items, fabric, and furniture bags,

There was new gown in a bag which was tied up they ate thru the bag eating the fabric and lace, I can't do anything to move my stuff out because of the rats, I went to the storage on Wednesday because have try calling no answer and went to the office on Wednesday April 21, 2021 spoke with a young man and he had stated that his Manager was on vacation. He asked if there was something that he can help with and I said yes told him about my storage said since he have been here he have never had to deal with that before.

But there was another Manager who was over seeing but was not there and they had taken my name and number said that he will give a call when her get back and never had a return call from who was over seeing.
I Went up to the storage to take picture on Sat April 24th and after opening the door the Rats was jumping around and I closed the door back and left I called again and the one Manager is still on Vacation asked about the other Manager and the young man stated that he was busy if you can leave name and number he will give call back today and nothing again.

I went to the storage office today and spoke with another young man I asked for the Corporate office number because I need my payment to stop and trying to find out how to get my belonging out of there but got to see what is all damage the young man stated that he was gone for today and he though that his manager had returned the call said no. He also mention that his manager stated to give me the repwest.com and do a claim which that was wrong for not returning the call.

I asking for the payment to be stop at this time and need to get into the storage to get the thing out that is not damage. please if you can give call back I appreciate

I try to take picture but the Rats was running and jumping around I was afraid I had taken two picture these are all I have right now.

Repwest Insurance Company Car Accident

I was involved in a car accident Friday April 9th at 9:20 am. I filed a claim that same day. The other driver was in a rented U-Haul truck she blew a stop sign on her cell phone and ran right into my truck. Totally took out the front end of my truck as well as injured me. I filed claim with Rep west the same day as of today 4/13 still haven't been contacted by an adjuster. When I went to the yard 4/12 I was told they made contact that Sat 4/11 via satellite imaging to say Rep West covers the U Haul but not the damage it caused. I called, called and called until finally I got a young lady Jenna Williams who proceeded to tell me the police officer who cited there driver at fault DOESN'T determine fault. I then spoke with her supervisor Kary Jones who informed me that she was right and I shouldn't address her in that tone and go through my insurance very professional and ethical outfit indeed

Repwest Insurance Company Unresolved Claim

I was hit by a uhaul on 2/4/2021 . The person driving the uhaul gave me the insurance info and I contacted rep west. The day I filed the claim the adjuster was very generous over time she stopped responding to my calls and would only send emails. She claims the claim is still being investigated even thought the uhaul driver was clearly at fault and now she is not communicating at all. All I want is my car fixed and this company is clearly unprofessional and unresponsive. I need this issue resolved ASAP!

Repwest Insurance Company Insurance

One of their U Hauls hit my car while in a parking bay . I was not even in the car at the time. The mall cop saw it and passed me all details . How clean cut can it be. After 6 phone calls and leaving voicemail, they have still not returned my call. They're as much use as a bloody ashtray on a motorcycle .
