Reservation
SCAM! First I thought I was booking through the hotel. Beware! Everything they send and the initial website look as though you are with the hotel not a third party. I called to cancel one of the rooms on my reservation. I was told reservations could not be modified. This is no where in anything stating this policy- only the cancelation deadline (which is also horrible). I am within my cancelation time, and only canceling one room. I was told a supervisor would call me within 30 min. That was 3 hours ago. I have reached out through the website contact, no response. Steer clear of this scam!
Desired outcome: The room I no longer need to be canceled.

Taxes and feed
I booked a hotel through reservation
Counter thinking it was the hotel site
When I received my receipt it had a tax and fee rate of more than 30%! Then an additional $15.99 service fee! I called the hotel and they said it’s absolutely wrong and does not even come close to federal state taxes and fees and hotel fees. It should have been $190 less than what I was charged but they couldn’t do anything because i booked with a third party. I compared with 9 other websites and every single one had the proper taxes and fees which were less than $50 - I was charged $241.
This should be illegal
Desired outcome: Refund of difference between this site and the proper taxes and fees according to the hotel and federal and local government

Reservations
Do not reserve through these people! The hotel I booked has a water park in pool area and that was closed when I arrived. There was no mention of this beforehand. When the front desk recommended calling reservation counter I called them and they were very rude on the phone and said too bad so sad. Will never book anything that has any affiliation with them again! I was even willing to transfer my reservation to a different hotel.
Desired outcome: Refund

Hotel Booking
This company is a SCAM! They charge way too much and literally charge your fees that are non-refundable when you cancel and I paid over $100 more then what I did through Booking.com which I highly recommend over this HORRIBLE site. I still have NOT received my money back and I am forced to pay their fees even though I cancelled the SAME day I made the reservation. HORRIBLE SITE!
Desired outcome: MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!

The reservation counter scam company and their redirectly of reservation sites
I was trying to make a reservation directly with Country Inn and Suites by Radisson and I also was redirected to the Reservation Counter. I didn't realize and by the time I hurriedly made the reservation and it say the reservation was complete, I realized I was not on the Radisson Reservation site but rather on this Reservation Counter - only because it asked me to rate the service immediately after I completed the reservation and BEFORE it gave showed me the final price - which included 50.00 of taxes and 16.00 of services fees. The rate was twice what I would have paid had I been able to reserve with the chain directly. I called immediately (within 5 minutes, I was on hold for 5 minues) to cancel with full refund and was denied because the site says no refund BUT fools you into believing you are reserving directly with the company.
I did notify them that I would be leaving a horrible review as they are a scam and lead the user to believe they are reserving directly with the hotel chain.
Desired outcome: I want a full refund for a reservation that I made on 3/14 for 3/15. This is a horrible business and I feel sorry for the customer services reps because they must get calls all day for this scam!!

I was trying to make a reservation directly with a Crowne Plaza and I also was redirected to the Reservation Counter. I still don't know how I got connected to Reservation Counter when I dialed the hotel directly as I make a lot of reservations for business travel. I then asked if I was talking with the hotel directly, the response was "yes" . The nightly charges were DOUBLE the amount normally charged by Crowne Plaza and each night was a different amount. When I asked why this was, I was told the "actual price was the average of these two rates" (2-night stay). When I requested a reservation confirmation reflecting the ACTUAL AMOUNT for each night, I was told at first, they couldn't do that/contact the hotel directly for that/finally said they would send one by never did. IMMEDIATELY, I receive a $15.00 HOTEL BOOKING SERVICE FEE on my card when there was no mention of ANY fees. When I called back to ask about this fee, the person answering said "I don't know what that's for/you'll need to talk to the hotel directly, etc." when I knew they were lying to me. The hotel had no idea what this fee was for. I asked for a receipt for this charge and again - no response. I spent a LOT OF TIME trying to figure this all out and finally realized I was getting no answers and stopped. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! HOW IS THAT YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS? THIS NEEDS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY!
Hotel booking website, redirected me to 3rd party reservation counter.
February 2023.
I went to the Best Western Kelly Inn and Suites website to book a hotel room in Billings Montana. Believed I had made the reservation through their website. I was only aware that the room was not booked through Best Western when I called the hotel to change my reservation dates and travel plans. Best Western front desk informed me that my reservation was made through a third party vendor Priceline, and that I could not change the reservation with Best Western. I was never on Priceline's website. I called the number for the reservation counter and was told I could not cancel the reservation without incurring charges of one night stay plus additional taxes and fees. Mind you I called two weeks in advance of the date of the reservation. I told the lady on the reservation counter phone when I booked the room that the web site said it was refundable and able to be cancelled. She told me it was not and I had no options to cancel or get a refund. They also up charged me over the price of the room than if I had called Best Western and made the reservation through the hotel front desk.
This Reservation Counter is a scam website.
Desired outcome: REFUND the upcharges and compensate me for the inability to change travel plans. Would like to cancel the room and all charges.
That’s funny I was unaware the company responded to my complaint. The only email I received was to confirm my email, and now this generated email that my complaint is resolved. It’s not. I’m still interested in my complaint and RESERVATION COUNTER IS A SCAM.

Hotel Booking - charged taxes on Government Tax Exempt Entity
A reservation was made through this company online by an employee who works for a governmental tax exempt office and the employee didn't realize they were going to charge the full amount all at once. When they did, they included taxes. The Hotel they booked at "The Royal Inn Beach Hotel" said they could not refund the taxes because reservationscounter.com was a third party booking agency. I have tried multiple times to get them to refund the taxes and they keep denying.
However, they are refunding other people from this same organization only because they called and have a recording saying they would do it. But it proves they are capable of refunding.
I have called, emailed, talked to the manager with no resolution.
Desired outcome: Please refund the taxes

Hotel reservation overcharged for taxes and fees by $500
Made a reservation for a hotel for a conference clicked link provided by conference. Somehow got rerouted to Reservation counter. Booked room for group at 260 a night which seemed reasonable. This was done on 12/20, I left on Christmas vacation the day after. When I returned in January I noticed that got charged to my card. I started looking into and found out that two other colleagues got charged same rate, but taxes and fees are much lower. Total taxes for my colleagues was $168.25 and mine were $629.93 - a 500 dollar difference.
I called hotel to get break down of taxes and fees way above what they should be. However, since this is 3rd party reservation, and non-refundable there was nothing they could do. Called Reservation Counter customer Service who promply told me this wasnt them it was Expedia or Priceline, checked both no reservation. I went back and called reservation counter and they finally admitted its there, can't change. I told them the fees are incorrect can they send me a breakdown of fees and they refused.
Desired outcome: Take the $500 dollar erroneous fees off.

Pretended to be from hotel and booked the wrong room
Called and talked to a person saying they are from bla... And said he could help me with my reservation. After explaining what exactly what I was needing; 2 bedroom,4 person on the ground floor and pet friendly, he booked a room for me and charged my the full amount plus fees. When my husband got home he looked it up and saw that it was a single room on the...

I thought I was booking a room directly with the hotel when I made my booking. I did this so that I could have the ability to make modifications to my booking at a later date, since I had to book this far in advance in order to ensure I got a room for this event. Come to find out, this is a third party and not associated with the hotel at all. They charged by credit card for the stay and will not allow me to modify or cancel my reservation. I called the hotel and they told me that several customers have called in complaining about this company stating that they too thought they were booking directly with the hotel. The hotel told me that they don't charge third party fees until the day of the stay. So, Reservations Counter, does not need to get this money back from the hotel in order to cancel my reservation, which is what they told me. The hotel said they would be more than willing to cancel my reservation if Reservation Counter called them. But, Reservation Counter is telling me they called the hotel and were not able to get them to cancel it which is a lie. They just don't want to give me my money back.
I called them today, 1/5/23 and my reservation is for the Kimpton Harper Hotel in Fort Worth check in on 1/13/23 and check out on 1/15/23. I had to book this hotel in September for this event as rooms get sold out quickly.
Desired outcome: I would like for them to cancel my reservation and refund my money back to my mastercard.

([protected] and [protected]) reservation counter pretending to be hotel brand and denied refund and use of room
I booked 2 rooms for 11/5/2022 check out 11/6/2022. I mistakenly did not cancel one of the rooms by deadline. I called in explaining I understand I missed the deadline just let me switch cards. At that point I realized I was not dealing with the hotel brand directly. At which point, I said, I don't mind paying for the room just let me give another form of payment. The customer service asked did I want to escalate the situation. I said yes if that is my only option. After further discussion, I asked about use of the room and escalation and she explained no decision for a fe days or a week. I recanted at that point and said wait. I can't use the room and I will not receive response until after my reservation? I changed my mind about the escalation at that point. The customer service person said too late. I said, it doesn't sound fair to me. I went on to say, I am going to have a different problem if you all are not able to refund me because you would have taken my money and not let me use the room and declined my refund (full and partial). When I called back to follow up 12/13/2022, Mafer, shift supervisor told me there was nothing else that could be done to help me and no one else I could speak with. I asked for her manager's name, and she refused. She said she was told not to give me the name of her manager and the number. I repeated asked who else could I appeal to, and she said no one else.
Desired outcome: I think Reservation counter needs to first be honest with unsuspecting customers attempting to make reservation with the hotel directly. Second,I think I should be given a credit for a one-night stay at a Hampton Inn

Booked Hotel
Itinerary Number:[protected]
I booked a trip using your services and realized i clicked the wrong date. 3 minutes later i cancelled online and rebooked. I called customer service to help me get refunded and they never called back. After trying 2 times I realized this was going no where. I will never use your services and will talk very poorly to anyone asking about your services. Your team should be ashamed of itself.
Desired outcome: Refund

Paid for a reservation that wasn't booked when I arrived at the hotel.
I made a reservation through Reservation Counter for a Holiday Inn Chambersburg for 9/16/2022. This was charged to my credit card, Citi Simplicty Card ending 3798. When I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that I did not have a reservation. I rebooked using the Holiday Inn App. I used a different credit card to pay for this stay. I was charged by Reservation Counter for a Reservation and day that didn't occur. I have sent numerous emails and phone calls and need resolution. You can clearly see by the attachments, I was charged twice. I was traveling with two individual from work and both we with me when I pulled up the "reservation" and was told I didn't have a reservation.
Desired outcome: I would like $160.43 credited to the Citi Simplicity card. Reservation Counter did not live up to the agreement to reserve the hotel room for me.

Reservation
I thought I was booking through Fairmont's web site but it was actually ReservationCounter.com on Aug 29, 2022. On checkout (Oct 12, 2022) of the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello I tried to reconcile my room charges with the pre-payment only to find that ReservationCounter.com charged me an additional $184.40 on top of the booking fee or a 63% premium over the actually room charges. I spoke with a supervisor on Oct 18, 2022 and she said that price and fees was what was on Fairmont's website at that time so they owe me nothing. This site is a "scam" Shame on Fairmont for accepting reservations from them.
Desired outcome: Refund of CA$184.40 from ReservationCounter.com

I had the same experience worst site ever
Scammed for money while booking reservation
I thought I was calling the direct number for country Inn and suites by Radisson. I only called to ask a question as I was going to book through a third-party, Agoda. When I called I asked my question and told the rep thank you, but that was all I needed as I was about to hang up and vote through the third Pratt party for $74 per night. I was booking for two nights so it would’ve been $74 times 2+ $10 tax each night which equals $168 altogether. The rep told me he could give me the exact same price so I agreed to go ahead and book while on the phone. Again, the whole time thinking and also being led to believe that I was on the direct line with the local country Inn and suites by Radisson. They told me the price would be 170 and volunteered that they didn’t take any extra fees or charges and that that is all I would have to pay. They said there would be no money when I got to the property. I thought it was weird that there wasn’t going to be a deposit of any kind but I thought maybe since I booked directly through the hotel that was a perk. While I was on the phone I saw the charges come through my mobile banking app where I was charged $214 The reservation plus an additional $14.95 for a booking charge by a third-party. I immediately asked the representative why the charge was now $230 as opposed to $168. He said oh it’s just taxes and fees and that’s normal you would get that through any booking site. I said no and reminded him of the agreed-upon price between us. And he said there was nothing that I could do now because the reservation was nonrefundable and said that I wouldn’t have to pay anything else when I got to the property. I got to the property and still owed a $50 deposit which I didn’t have enough money in that account to cover because I had been grossly overcharged for my reservation. I had to jump through hoops trying to deposit cash into my account after 5 o’clock just so my family and I had a place to stay while we were out of town. I called reservation counter back and explain my problem asking to cancel the reservation. Also at the hotel they said my reservation was booked through Agoda yes. So that means the representative I was speaking to him I told him I was going to book through Agoda assured me that the hotel, which they were not, could give me the same rate. All the while, the representative is going through Agoda to book the hotel at the price that I should’ve booked it for well knowing they are going to charge me almost $100 more. As I’m talking to the 2nd representative when I called back she basically just told me I was out of luck and their policy is that it’s nonrefundable. I said even if I was scammed for more money than I agreed to pay etc. etc. They had no interest in helping me whatsoever and so at the end of I paid $80 more than I should have for a hotel reservation all because I called the hotel websites phone number just to ask a question. They should be illegal it is terrible that things like this are able to happen in America.
Desired outcome: I would like to have my $80 back as soon as possible or at the very least credit towards another hotel stay
Billed for service and then again billed by hotel. Can't get resolution from either.
Booked reservation on May 5/22 for stay in Hamption Inn New Albany was billed for the stay at that time. Upon arrival at hotel, was again billed at lower rate. Can't get either to resolve this issue. Stayed on phone for over 3 hrs and Reservation Counter did call back but put me on hold again for over 1hr. if not resolved shortly will call credit card and have both charges removed.
Desired outcome: credit for double payment

This company billed me in full for a reservation - reservation # [protected]-I made for the Bellweather Beach Resort in St. Petersburg, Fla. for the amount of $980.34 with an additional charge of $14.99 from Hotel Booking Serv Fee? (phone # 800-727-9059in UT).
On my credit card the charge shown was for"Hotel Reservation LOH"- I called the hotel and cancelled this reservation when I realized it was not the hotel I was booking with directly and I then rebooked with Bellweather Beach Resort DIRECTLY.

Reservation counter.com
I received a credit card statement from my bank on 07/05/22 claiming that I owe them £874.49, I took no notice of it because I had paid off all my arrears. So I rang the bank yesterday to tell them that they were wrong and was told that it was for a reservation made on 03/04/22 by "reservationcounter.com" that I should contact them.
On that 03/02/22 myself and my disabled client l took on a cruise for his 60th birthday just landed at Cape Liberty, NJ (NY Metro). After waiting for our transfer to take us to "The Redbury, New York, New York" where we were booked in to spend two nights, we were informed that The Redbury was closed down. I had no credit, no battery or internet connection on my phone, one of the supervisors lent me his phone. We only dial the numbers given to me by our cruise line so how did these connect to reservationcounter.com. My credit card was rejected when I tried to use it so I used my debit card instead to book two rooms at Merriott Newark hotel and have been charged for these. So am I paying twice for the same bookings?
PLEASE REFUND MY £874.49 as this is FRUAD and should not be allowed.
Thank you.
Desired outcome: REFUND THE MONEY TAKEN FROM MY CREDIT CARD TO THE SUM OF £874.49. AS I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR THESE WITH MY DEBIT CARD.
Reservation Counter took my money and provided confirmation of booking my hotel room via e-mail. When I got to the hotel at the time/date prescribed, they said they had no reservation for me. Called Reservation Counter Customer service - they said "they would get right back to me and look into it". They never returned my call and I was forced to pay for another room at the hotel. Requested refund on the room paid for with Reservation Counter but the request was denied even though I provided all documentation supporting being at the hotel at the appointed time/date and showing proof I had to purchase another room. I'm out $150 bucks thanks to Reservation Counter's "great customer service". Gee, thank for robbing me.
Misrepresentation of service fees and cancellation refund
I thought I was booking directly with St Gregory Hotel, DC, instead I booked two nights with reservation counter.com.
Itinerary Number: R3328404142
I booked a room for $316 per night (4/26 - 4/28) which was a subtotal of $638.50 When it appeared as a confirmed reservation there was an additional $320.97 for "services and taxes" and an additional $14.99 service fee - none of this appeared prior to me submitting my credit card details and confirming the reservation. I immediately cancelled the reservation online (4 mins after I booked) because I can not afford to pay $974.36 for a two night stay.
Then when I called them they said I wouldn't be refunded because the cancellation policy said "non refundable if cancelled after 4/18/22 1am". However, I only booked the hotel at 4/18/22 10pm. So the cancellation time/date were before I even made the reservation?
To make matters worse, I asked if they would then reinstate my reservation and they declined. So I am now left with a credit card bill of $974.36 and no hotel reservation. Why wouldn't they reinstate my reservation. This is fraudulent activity and unethical. How can they charge a person $974 and not allow them the opportunity to reinstate the reservation - they didn't lose any money at all?
Please help since this is gross misrepresentation and borderline fraudulent.
I called the St Gregory directly and they said they see a reservation was cancelled but that they cannot do anything as they would not charge me any money and have no funds on their end.
Desired outcome: Full refund please.
