This bank is so lucky I had to pick a star to write a review
This bank is so lucky I had to pick a star to write a review. They keep canceling my card for "fraudulent" stuff that I've already used it for before! It always happens on the weekend and they never call to check if it's really fraud or not. I've asked them to call, but they never do. I've been with this bank for 7 years, but I'm finally switching because Heritage Trust sold to this terrible excuse for a bank. Heritage Trust was way better and would actually call me if they thought something was fishy.
The customer service at the collections department is some of the worst I've ever experienced in my life
The customer service at the collections department is some of the worst I've ever experienced in my life. I have never been past due on any payment in my life, and after buying a new car, they put money into a savings account that I don't use, instead of using it for my first payment. Then they told me it was my fault because I didn't notice it. Now I have a mark on my Credit Bureau that they won't help fix. The staff is rude and seems like they don't care about their customers. I will be arguing about this with my credit and refinancing with another bank as soon as I can. The way the managers in the collections department talk to customers is shocking.
Their extra awards website is terrible
Their extra awards website is terrible. It kicked me out even though I used the same password. It's supposed to save it automatically so I don't have to type it again. When it logged me out, I wanted to go back, but it gave me an error. So, I decided to change my password. I followed all the steps, but the stupid website kept telling me that my password doesn't meet the requirements. It also kept popping up with "Your password must match," even though it did, and it still wouldn't let me reset it. It worked before, but I still got that error message on the home page. The main website is okay, but I just wanted to check my rewards online instead of calling on the phone and waiting for the next button to be pressed. Seriously. I even called someone for help, but that was a waste of time.

When I first opened a business account for my startup company at REV Federal Credit Union, they mentioned that there would be a hold placed on checks for the initial month until they become familiar with my company's transactions. I was fine with that. Fast forward a year later, and I'm still experiencing 1-2 week holds on my deposits from every check I try to deposit. On top of that, I requested overdraft protection for my account because they charge me $39 for each transaction that goes overdrawn when my deposits are being held. It's almost like a crime the way they operate this scheme, holding deposits for a week while still processing all transactions made with company debit cards when my account is empty due to the holds on my deposits. As a startup business owner, I'm embarrassed to admit that they don't offer overdraft protection for business accounts but do for personal accounts. No one explained this to me when I signed up, so I was tricked into joining. I ended up paying a thousand dollars in overdraft fees, even though I had the money sitting there, waiting for them to release my deposits. They have the power to do this whenever they please and make thousands of dollars per month by holding deposits, knowing that businesses have to continue spending daily to operate.
Rev has bad customer service and an employee with a bad attitude
Rev has bad customer service and an employee with a bad attitude. Tricia answered my call about a deposit I was asking about. REV sent me a black debit card with a different number on it that the bank blocked without telling me. The "old" tan REV cards with the right number were blocked after my call. They said they would send me a new one. My cards weren't the problem at first; again, I called to ask about a deposit. Now I can't get to my money on a holiday weekend and I'll probably get late fees even though it's not my fault. My direct deposit payments will be denied even though I have enough money and don't owe anything to the bank. Also, Tricia said my address was wrong and blamed me- even though I get REV mail all the time; and (I can't stress this enough) MY CARDS WEREN'T A PROBLEM. Tricia also left me a voicemail saying it was my fault the deposit wasn't made because I didn't tell the buyer it was a savings account. Even though I talked to her about how I could only give an account number and routing number...twice. I don't like feeling like I did something wrong when I asked for help. I really liked Heritage Trust. They didn't shame members, they were helpful and easy to talk to. I'm leaving this bank after 9 years. I need my money and I want helpful service without an attitude. This is totally not okay. My mom, fiancé, coworker, and friend are also leaving REV for similar experiences. I can't close my account fast enough.
This all started after I deferred my mortgage payments for 3 months due to COVID
This all started after I deferred my mortgage payments for 3 months due to COVID. I couldn't work because I was injured, so it was necessary. Once the deferral period ended, I started making payments again. I set up a single payment from my account and later on, I set up a recurring ACH payment. But here's where things went wrong - for the past 4 months, I've accidentally double paid my mortgage. I've been on the phone with a really nice lady (that's why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1) so many times during this whole process. They said it was my bank's fault for sending the extra payment. So, I called my bank and guess what? They said it was REV's fault. After going back and forth, I managed to stop one payment, but the other one went through. To get my money back from my savings with REV, I had to wait two weeks because they limit external transfers and make you wait until the previous one is done before requesting another. Then, I postponed my ACH payment for a few months because I started paying my mortgage with a check. But even after doing that, my ACH payment still went through. I decided to keep the extra payment in my savings while I figured things out with the service member. While my money was there, they charged me $1.99 for ID theft, which I've never been charged before. And they did it right before my final transfer was processed (which I had already requested). So not only did my transfer get denied because of "not enough funds," but they also charged me $70 because they tried the transfer twice and charged a $35 fee for not having enough funds. Thankfully, I got it all fixed, but now I sent my last payment for February by check and they took the money from my savings to "cover my mortgage payment" that I had already paid for. They also told me that someone in accounting found out that the second payment came from their website when I made my first payment after the deferral. I paid my bank a fee to stop the payment, but they didn't investigate enough to see that it was their mistake. I'm so frustrated, and if I didn't plan on staying in my house long-term, I would refinance with a different lender right away. And when I asked to be reimbursed for the ID theft fee, the person in charge of opting me out sent me a DocuSign to confirm that I didn't want to opt out. It took 3 tries to get it right because she kept checking that I wanted to opt back in. About 2 weeks later, she sent me another DocuSign trying to get me to sign up again. I'm really disappointed in this company, especially since I've been with them since they were Heritage Trust. I'll never go back to them and I won't recommend them to anyone.

I've called Rev Credit Union multiple times regarding a $5.00 deduction from my account
I've called Rev Credit Union multiple times regarding a $5.00 deduction from my account. They told me I had to come in, so I did when I returned, only to find out that over $50.00 had been taken out of my account. I wanted to talk to someone who could assist me, but no one was able to help. I was considering closing my account, but the balance was incorrect, and I received no assistance. They mentioned a $5.00 fee for not using my debit card, but my debit card hasn't been functioning since they changed names. I wasn't anywhere near an ATM, and I was never informed about the fee for the debit card, especially one that doesn't even work.
I had to stop a check because it never arrived after being sent by certified mail
I had to stop a check because it never arrived after being sent by certified mail. I called and signed a stop payment through email docusign in mid-December. The person I was working with assured me that my money would be refunded. I was surprised to find that the money was not returned and I was being charged for transfers because YOU didn't return the money... I called again to find out what was going on and received another electronic stop payment in my email. I signed it and was told that the check had NOT been cashed and the money would be refunded. I refuse to pay any fees and your lack of follow-up is terrible and needs to be addressed. We're talking about $4125, not just 20 bucks. So even after the second signed stop check, I still haven't received my money. I called today and got the usual runaround. I was told that a supervisor would call me, but after 4 hours, I still hadn't received a phone call, so I called again. I was given a bogus answer that the supervisor wasn't working today. How convenient...

I signed up for a 14 day trial of a product that had a 30 day trial/refund
I signed up for a 14 day trial of a product that had a 30 day trial/refund. I emailed the company right away to cancel the trial and all future charges. They took several days to respond and told me to call a number. I immediately let them know that I have chronic laryngitis and can't make phone calls. They emailed me back saying they would cancel all future orders and I wouldn't be responsible for future charges. But here's the problem - they already charged me. I contacted them before the charge, so I want a refund of $239.96 on my card. They need to fix this or I'll involve my bank and my friend with lots of followers who will warn everyone about their company. It's up to them, but I want my money back as soon as possible. I have screenshots of everything, just so you know.
I asked for a balance transfer on my account in April
I asked for a balance transfer on my account in April. They gave me some numbers for my account and routing. I set up payments with Wells Fargo's Bill Pay and everything seemed fine. But in June, REV changed my account number without telling me. They said they were moving to a new website, so I updated the address in Bill Pay. But there were no automatic notifications for this account, and since Wells Fargo sends paper checks, I didn't know they hadn't cashed them. It took me forever to get someone on the phone to fix everything - give me the new account number, refund the late fees, and all that. Now, I have another problem. When I paid my account in August ($400 on 8/3, which went through), I also set up recurring payments on the Rev website ($250 on the 28th of every month starting 10/28) instead of using Wells Fargo. But today, I checked and saw that the recurring payment didn't go through. I called the bank, but they took forever to call me back and then transferred me to the credit card line. When I gave them my 15-digit card number, it said the service wasn't available and hung up on me. The statement from 8/24 says I owe $186 by 9/18, and the bank website says the same thing. But when I go to the eZCard website to pay from another source, it says I owe $0 and there's no date, and the autopay didn't work. It feels like they don't want me to pay off this debt. It's getting harder and harder to make a payment. I need help fixing this. Oh, and it's been 6 weeks and I still haven't gotten a new Credit Card with the updated number. My Member ID is XXXXXX. Thanks for any help you can give me.
