I had to go to First Investors 'cause the original company I financed through stopped doin' car loans
I had to go to First Investors 'cause the original company I financed through stopped doin' car loans. I started fallin' behind 'cause my payment schedule is set up every two weeks, but I only get paid twice a month now. I asked 'em to refinance, but they won't do it, which would help me get outta this mess and stop 'em from callin' me 'bout my payment. I've told 'em multiple times I don't get paid every two weeks anymore! They started takin' money from the wrong bank account, even though I chose "checking," and it caused me NSF fees from them and my bank. They say it's my bank's fault, but when I showed 'em proof, they basically said tough luck and told me to manage my money better. How 'bout fixin' your messed up system? Then they sent a scary letter 'bout takin' my car and said they won't accept late payments anymore. My payments are always late 'cause of what I mentioned earlier, but they're always more than the minimum to help me catch up. Do they wanna take away cars? Do they enjoy kickin' people when they're down durin' a pandemic? I'm grateful I didn't lose my job durin' the pandemic and could keep makin' payments. I dunno how I would've dealt with it if this company wasn't so terrible and unsympathetic. DON'T FINANCE WITH THEM.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. My car was totaled January. We settled for me to pay the remaining balance of $2525 which was the interest that I accrued as if the date of the accident. Part of the settlement was there would be no interest accrued. I was looking for my balance due and it said about $1514 and I knew that had to be incorrect. I went back and added up all my payments which added up to about $1517. Then I realized there were multiple payments that went to interest. I called to try to rectify the situation and the agent wanted to argue that none of my payments went to interest when it clearly shows which payments did and he was just rude and wanted to argue so I asked for a supervisor. She stated she would reach outout to the accounting department and either that dept or the supervisor would reach out to me within 2 days a week later no one reached out. So I reached out again and spoke to another supervisor and he told me the same thing the last supervisor said. I told him I don't want to get the runaround because he said the same thing the last supervisor said verbatim and he wanted to argue if the words were verbatim instead of trying to help me. Not only did they mess up my account but their customer service sucks. I need answers on my account or I will be reaching out to a lawyer. I dont need to be paying $500 extra for a car I don't even have anymore. Someone needs to fix this.
I just got back to work on Aug 24, 2020 after being on medical leave due to covid
I just got back to work on Aug 24, 2020 after being on medical leave due to covid. I'm a bit behind, but I'm trying to catch up. After talking to your reps today, I'm feeling more frustrated than hopeful. I made a payment of $500.00 and tried to schedule another payment for Nov 3rd for $700.00. The "Account Specialist" who greeted me said, and I quote, "Hello Ms J, I'm *** (I think that was her name), and you've been transferred to me because you want to make an unacceptable arrangement, is that right?" This really got to me. First of all, who taught these reps to greet people like this during a pandemic? Second, it's not okay to lack compassion and immediately shut down any possibility of help. I'm not asking for a handout or making excuses. My car payment is behind because, like many others, I'm struggling to keep a roof over my head and food on the table while dealing with uncertain health. I'm trying to do the right thing, but I won't tolerate being belittled or spoken to condescendingly just because you want to collect what I owe. I won't lie and say I can pay everything this month, that would be a flat-out lie. I know I have limited options, but I don't want to lose my vehicle while trying to pay what I owe and being honest about it. I'm not sure what the next step is, but I wanted to let you know how your employees' interactions with the public affect our lives. I've talked to a few good people in the past, but the majority of these reps are just terrible!
I worked with Sterling Ahrns from Stellantis Financial Services, Inc
I worked with Sterling Ahrns from Stellantis Financial Services, Inc. He was nice and attentive at first. When I applied, he called and left a voicemail saying I was approved. I thought I did my research on this company, but I didn't know I would have to get approval from another lender as well, even after being told I was approved. I provided everything they asked for, but every week they would ask for something else. They even asked for a copy of my social security card because my driver's license said "not for federal use." I explained that it's not a "real" ID. The next week, they wanted my son and me to put each other on our car insurance, even though we don't drive each other's cars. I couldn't add him because it would increase my premium. Sterling suggested adding my car to my son's insurance and removing it before the premium was due. I did it, but they kept asking for the same check stubs and the trim on my car. I personally told the lady at the other lender the trim, but she had Sterling ask for it again and again. They made my son and me re-sign contracts almost every week. I got so frustrated and asked Sterling what was going on.
Paid vehicle off in April and keep getting the run around for the title
Paid vehicle off in April and keep getting the run around for the title. Shady, and unethical. Stay clear of this “lender”.

Unprofessional. None of the agents are on the same page. Called me and accused me of not making a payment. Avoid at all costs, lack of communication, no people skills, will never return contact and they continue to lie about everything they can lie about. worst financial company ever
worst financial company ever. rep never consistent with info provided. not will to help always reason why i'm not eligible, even with this pandemic going on i was told the company has reached their limit for extension and to callback next month. so they would rather my account be past due to tack on past due charges instead to help. i had to select a star in order to submit this review. didn't want to give any because they don't deserve it!

I am so not happy and fully regret financing through them
I am so not happy and fully regret financing through them. They lied to me for a month straight, I stood on the side of the road to get money to make my payment to be put onto a reduction plan. Called when they told me to call to only find that the program is closed now. I'm stuck with a $400 payment with no job, lost my house, and living in my car begging for month. The only thing they can do is accept $50 minimum to keep my account as current possible. What scammers and liars! A WHOLE MONTH being told I could get on this program.

Unprofessional
Unprofessional. None of the agents are on the same page. Called me and accused me of not making a payment. Transferred to another agent who saw the payment I made. I could have been double charged due to that first agent’s refusal to read my file correctly. Arrogant, unprofessional and prefers to argue with the customer rather than try to find the solution. Of course, the agent in the wrong wouldn’t come back to the phone. Oh, noticed this company gets in the comments here and posts account information. The jokes just keep writing themselves. My next stop is out of here with this “company.”

BEWARE! BEWARE!
BEWARE! BEWARE! This company is so unethical and is heartless! They had my car repossessed at 2-am with all the COVID-19 going on and when we had made the payments, we called and spoke to our loan person they claim that they did not authorize it and they said they were in a meeting and that they had no control over the car getting repossessed that their manager took the files from them not willingly knowing that they took the files and it was for only vehicles in California, pure lies... As soon as we are able to transfer this loan we will because this company is not reliable and has staff that are dishonest!
This company is a complete disaster
This company is a complete disaster. They pick and choose how much of your payment goes to interest and principle on their own accord. I had reviewed my payment history and it’s always different. Some lady with a name I could never pronounce gave me run around about how payments are applied. First Investors (into themselves) Financial received my load WITHOUT my approval or knowledge from my previous loan company and no one said anything. I had to literally do research to find out where my car loan was and wh o had it. This company is a scam and just likes to suck money out of people. I can’t wait to get this car re-financed away from this crap hole of a company. And they charge $3.95 to process a payment. BOGUS COMPANY who takes your money and makes you jump through hoops for everything.

okay, where do I start??
okay, where do I start? Man... this company has been a nightmare to deal with, the customer service representatives are incompetent and do not tell the truth, and they do not communicate with their customers.. My husbands car was repossessed by them with no notice and we had the tow truck come to us in the middle of the night, and I explained to them that I had just made the payment and the tow truck drivers didn't wanna hear it, fast forward to today... I called there to ask them why my husbands car was repossessed and they simply had no answer, they said that they don't know why and that they would try to have the $500 removed for the tow truck company but that they close at one so I would have to call them tomorrow... we were supposed to go on vacation today and now with them repossessing his car now we have to come up with nearly $2,000 to pay and get it out of the tow yard because it is in a tow yard 35 miles away so now we have to re-arrange our vacation because the company cannot communicate with each other, I would not recommend doing business with this company as they are dishonest and they have no sense of sincerity to their customers.
This company is terrible and so are their representatives
This company is terrible and so are their representatives. The are never on the same page and when I’ve asked to speak to a manager they always say they are in a meeting but when I’ve called back the rep will say I talked to a manager when In fact the person said they were not a manager! They always lie! I called them a few times trying to get assistance with my payment and the rep I spoke to offered a deferred payment assistance due to Covid-19. I applied and the rep said not to worry about the past due payments that the application for deferred payment would be pushed thru and approved due to Covid-19 and the past due balance would be added to the loan. My husband called because we applied and never heard back and on multiple times the rep said it was being revived and not to worry about the pat due payment. Come to find out 3 months later the application was denied due to the company putting a halt to the applications because they did not want to go under so all applications were denied but we were never called or informed of this so we thought we were ok because we called and they said multiple times the application was pending. So fast forward to a yesterday when we called again for an update the rep said we needed to pay $2000 and that the car was up for repossession! WTH! How does a company do that! They promise to help with the payment deferred program and say not to worry about it then we try to follow up and they finally say sorry can’t help you pay $2000 or your car gets taken away! Had they been honest from the beginning and said we needed to make a payment we would have tried to figured out a way to try and make some sort of payment but to wait 3 months with no response from the company and then get told pay $2000 or your car is being taken away. Come in this is not how you run a business especially when thousands of Americans are without a job or income and can hardly pay there rents or fees there family. So NO I will not recommend this company to anyone! I would give it zero stars but I had to pick a star in order to leave a review. I would live to speak to an aviator manager or the director or financial services to get this figured out because your reps have no idea what they are doing. I work in customer service Android is not how to treat customers. I have never had such a difficult time reaching someone with knowledge of what is going on in the company. Please have director of financial services email me *** I will go on to all other websites and leave a poor review until this has been taken care of!

Harassment
Harassment. They signed a contract with me, agreeing to stop trying to collect money. But guess what? They still texted me twice and called me four times every single day during the whole "Fresh Start" deal. Can you believe it?
I've been in touch with this company 28 times already regarding my car loan
I've been in touch with this company 28 times already regarding my car loan. Whenever I call to make a payment, they won't take any partial payment whatsoever. Some of us have lost our jobs because of Covid19 and are still trying to pay something towards our loans. Instead, they've issued a repo order for my vehicle.

I had a finance agreement with First Investors, and the initial amount was $12.4
I had a finance agreement with First Investors, and the initial amount was $12.4. Later, I noticed an increase to $12.8. So, I decided to trade in my car at Stellantis Financial Services, Inc., and the payoff amount was $12.4. I purchased the car in June and fully paid it off in March . However, I did not receive any money back from First Investors, despite making $2200 worth of payments before trading it in. First Investors' payoff amount was $12.4, so I believe I should be refunded the excess payment. The finance term was for five years.
My name is on a car document that I don't own or have any financial responsibility for
My name is on a car document that I don't own or have any financial responsibility for. The car was sold to my ex-partner, and she is the only one with a loan for it. I am not the owner of this car and I want my name taken off the title. Having my name on this car puts me at risk for accidents and tickets, and it jeopardizes my financial assets. My name is on the registration and title, even though I have no connection to this vehicle.
I called 'em up in April 'cause my hubby got laid off and we needed some help with the payment
I called 'em up in April 'cause my hubby got laid off and we needed some help with the payment. They said they'd be cool and waive April's payment, stick it at the end of our loan. They also said they'd cut our payment in half for three months 'cause of Covid-19. They wanted both me and my hubby to sign an email confirmation 'cause we're both on the loan, but they sent 'em to different emails. My hubby got his, signed it, and called to make sure I'd get mine. They said to wait three days, but we didn't get squat. So we called 'em back and they said they messed up the email and would send both again. They told us to give 'em a week, but still nothin' in either email. We called 'em again, same story. This went on for three weeks. And the whole time, their collections department kept callin' us every day, even on Sundays. We'd tell 'em what was goin' on, and they'd be like, "Yeah, we see that in our notes." Now, today, at the end of May, they call for payment and we tell 'em what we've been told for over a month. And guess what? They say they ain't doin' the half payments no more. They'll only push April to the end of the loan, and we gotta pay up for May pronto.
On April 27th, I contacted them to let them know that my hours got cut at work
On April 27th, I contacted them to let them know that my hours got cut at work. They said they had a program to delay the current payment and lower the next 4 payments to assist customers affected by COVID-19. They told me to call back when my payment was at least 1 day late. My payment is due on the 3rd, so on May 4th, I called at 1:30 pm Eastern time. I answered the questions with the representative on the phone. She signed me up for the program and said I would get an email in a few days and would need to sign and send back the form. On Wednesday, May 6th, I hadn't received an email, so I called and they said the department was backed up and it takes about 10 days to process. I called again on 5/11 and was told to call back on 5/12. I called this morning and they were rude. I hung up and called again to talk to a supervisor who then said the program was canceled on the 4th, so they wouldn't process my paperwork. When I spoke to them on the 4th, the program was active and they submitted it, but then it got canceled after I submitted. This is false information, deceiving the customers. I'm sure I'm not the only one who was lied to and tricked. Now they're saying they can waive the late fees. That doesn't help now that my payment is overdue and my work hours got cut. This really puts me in a tough spot.
Nationwide Bank transfered my loan to First Investors Servicing Corp in the fall of 2018
Nationwide Bank transfered my loan to First Investors Servicing Corp in the fall of 2018. I recently traded off the vehicle that was security on the note and received a confirmation (non-notarized) that my Consumer Loan Agreement was paid in full as of 6/3 and my lien release for the title would be mailed "soon"-that letter was dated 6/23. On 7/21 I contacted a rep in the title department at First Investors who seemed very helpful and advised they had mailed my title (she stated the Title, not a lien release) to the auto dealership that paid off my loan back on 6/15. When I informed her neither myself, nor the dealership, has received any title or lien release she stated she was putting in a second request for the title to be sent to the dealership. As of today the deleaership still has not received any title or lien release, nor have I, and when I spoke to another rep in the title department moments ago I was told they had already mailed a lien release twice and we should have it. I informed her we have NOT received it and asked if that could be faxed or emailed immediately? I was told she was putting in a 3rd request to have a lien release sent to the dealership, and there was no way to send that other than via US regular mail- not even certified.. Both times I contacted the title department they have confirmed the address of the dealership, and it is correct. I find it "fishy" that it takes 3 tries to send a lien release. I even offered to email the rep today a State of KS Lien Release form, but she stated they have their own form and it has been completed correctly before being mailed both times. The dealership sold my prior vehicle over the weekend and they are getting angry that I am unable to sign the title over to them. The dealership has contacted First Investors title department repeatedly as well. I am also unable to register my new vehicle as the dealership will not give me that title for the new vehicle until they have the title for my old vehicle- can't blame them- but now I am about to be driving on tags that are registered to a vehicle I no longer own or insure, and are set to expire in September.
When you have a delayed payment, they send Mafia type men to your door and try to unilaterally cancel your contract and benefit from your grievance, saying they called you but couldn't reach you. It's a company like a loan shark, stay away from here.
