Garry Vacuum knob to switch from hose to vacuum

The first Vacuum I paid the shipping and handling it was like 90.00 then I had to pay to ship the old one back it cost me 65.00 so lifetime warranity what a joke...I cant afford to send back the second one that broke the same way but the knob came off so I cant switch it over at all...I can go buy one from local store for cheaper but I bought so many vacuum bags I have to use them.

I really hoped that I would not have to do this, but I have tried very much to overlook certain things about the "Garry vacuum" but I realize now that I did make a mistake in purchasing it. First of all, it is not light weight at all, the hose catches your skin between it, if you are not real careful, it is cheaply made, and dust does escape into the air. There's a lot more, but it doesn't matter, I am not returning it, I am just giving it away, as much as I don't want to wish it on anyone, but one of my cat's chewed on the cord enough that I couldn't return it in that condition, It doesn't affect it working, I just am not happy with it at all. Maybe because my Rainbow Vacuum finally needed and overhaul at the time we bought the Garry, so I should have known that nothing could ever replace the Rainbow. So much for the Garry, Good luck. At least the Cat loved it.

Garry Vacuum Doesn't pick up.

It's advertised to pick up a bowling ball and it does't even pick up a little piece of dirt. I'd like to know how to clean out the suction. Something must be blocking it.

I have the same problem. But my vacuum threw out several pieces of the same part that had broken from somewhere inside. Now, it blow air instead of sucks. I called Garry and they said they'd be happy to replace it, and told me they needed proof of purchase FAXED to them, they gave me a customer ID# as a reference when it came in. An I will hearing from them in 48 hours. Ten days later still no word from Garry so I called them. I was told after lots and lots of I'M SORRY'S. That they needed $50.00 to mail the new one and when that came I was to box up the old one and send it back at my expense. I purchased this product cause I had faith in Bob's testimonial. I'm sure he's sorry now he indourced Garry Vacuums. My next step is to notify the Better Business Bureau to get the word out on this scam. Thank You Patti

Hi Shirley,

I work for the Garry company. Sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the suction. Please make sure the bag is not full and that the divertor switch is completely engaged in either mode. Both of these will affect the suction. If that does not resolve it, please contact customer service at [protected] and they will be happy to assist you further. Thank you, Mary

Garry Vacuum Shipping and handling charges of $90.00

I watched the Garry Vac program on 12/5/09, it looked very impressive, and so I ordered 1 that day. I was looking for a lighter Vacuum to purchase. I currently own a Kirby, which is getting to heavy for me. I received my new Vacuum on 12/12/09 and tried it out. To my disappointment it did not pick up the pet hair, not even by going back and forth. Pet hair is a big issue for me and since it won’t pick up like advertised I do not want to keep the vacuum.

I called to return it and was told I would not be refunded the 49.99 shipping and handling and I would have to pay to ship it back and non-refundable, and also the vacumn bags that I paid $9.99 for I would not be refunded, so I feel this is a total rip off when I would not be refunded for trying this vacumn out when it is to be satisfaction guaranteed. Why should I have to pay in shipping and handling charges all together $90.00 to try out a new vacumn for 1 day?

Garry Vacuum Lifetime Guarantee a Hoax

Buyer Beware! Purchased a Garry Vacuum a year ago. It began loosing suction in spite of bag change. Ad says Free bags for a year. S/H is $8.00. Checked with local P.O. and cost to mail was less than $3.00. Fee is hidden in S/H, thus bags are not free. Now Vacuum motor has seized, called Garry to utilize Replacement for life. Initially I was told, I would have to pay to return old vacuum and new one would be sent at no cost to me. NOT! I have to pay $50.00 for new one and if I don't get old one to them in 30 days, they charge my account $150.00 plus S/H. Honestly, the vacuum parts are cheap and probably cost less than $50.00 to construct. So again, NOT FREE. Customer Service could barely struggle thru English language, thus adding to frustration. You have been warned!

Garry Vacuum Unit Broke within 3 months-numerous problems-

The vacuum cleaner was exceptionally loud from day one and we were sorry we bought it for that reason. In about 2 months time a white plastic piece in the motor broke apart into many pieces and the unit ceased to be operational. All this time I was receiving charges on my American Express card for "lifetime" bags which I never asked for or directly agreed to. I called customer service and a man with an Indian accent--strangely named "Johnny"--said that all the units from that lot were defective and that they were receiving many reports of damaged units. He said they would ship another and I was to return the damaged unit within 30 days or be charged another $200. Weeks passed. Nothing arrived. I called back and spoke to another (or the same) Indian man--this time named "Ricky"--who told me all the same information and refused to accept the fact that I had ever called before. So now we are waiting for the replacement. I have already determined to take this up with American Express if any more charges appear on my credit card or if I don't receive the replacement or if they try to charge me again.

The vacuum is loud and clunky and of low quality. Customer service is unreliable and seems unapologetic for the waste of time and money suffered by the consumer who had the misfortune of ordering a Garry.

I also bought a Garry vacuum. It broke in a 2 week period. Same problem! Broken piece from the motor. I also talked to the indian guy ( who was very rude) about the problem. I was given the run around. I was also told that I would have to pay for shipping of the broken vacuum to them and pay shipping for a new one to be sent to me. What a crock of CRAP! I shouldn't have had to pay for shipping either way. They should stand behind their product. I had to contact the BBB about it. Finally I paid to have a new one shipped to me. I turned it on went to make a swipe across the floor and it sounded like I sucked up a penny. The same thing happened again! A piece of the plastic broke off inside the motor. I shoved the vacuum in my closet and it has been there since. I tell everyone NOT to buy from them. VERY POOR quality!

Garry Vacuum return policy

we bought the garry vacuum, great folks when we were buying, the free steamer lasted 1 month and after complaining they dropped the shipping fee to $10 to replace. After 4 months our vacuum motor froze up, they are telling us we must pay $50 to ship a new one and $50 for return shipping. Outrageous ! what a scam, we are just buying a new vacuum, we will not give them any more of our money.

DO NOT BUY A GARRY VACUUM. The only way they exist is hiding behind the internet. If you could try it before buying, no one would buy it. I bought it for the on-board attachments. They pick up nothing. When I called to purchase and found out pricing details, I declined. Salesman called me back and told me, if I would try it, I could get a full refund, $199.78. He was including free shipping and extra bags. So I agreed to try it. Total crap. When I returned it, they only credited $149.85. They deducted shipping charges of $49.93. The vacuum was supposed to be 4 payments of $49.99 = $199.96. You do not see invoice until vacuum arrives. Free bags? 4 bags for $9.99. Garry is no comparison to Oreck, either company or product. I have had Orecks for over twenty years, and they are great. I only wanted the convenience of the attachments and paid $43.93 + $26.31(return shipping) = $70.24 to learn my lesson. I would just like to save others from making this costly mistake. The way I see it, they are selling a $25.00 vacuum for $200.00. Oreck is a great company to deal with; Garry Vacuum is a farce.

Yes, they are junk, my 1st one lasted maybe 2 months, it picked up a small piece of plastic this caught in the impeller and locked up and the impeller broke, this is the most important part of the machine.this is going to happen all the time with this vac.It really is just junk.I bought the best one they sell, pro.model, a way to test these I learned from a electolox salesman, put the vacuum hose's together and see who has the most suction, ok, number 1.my sears upright-this one sucked the dirt out of the garry bag[both were running.2.my dirt devil upright$79 same results. It does not have enough suction to clean properly.I also got charged $250 for a replacment for the one I sent back[$35 postage] this one was lost in transit, so another $250 i was charged[ as per contract] so I have $500 in this piece of junk.another thing, It is so noisy that we can't use it, we went back to our sears vac.even thou this one is heavy, this is the reason we bought the garry was it's light weight.tell me what you want me to do with this thing[no, you first] we are taking it to E.P.A.to have a decibel reading on it, I sure it will not pass, and I'am sure they will all be recalled-enjoy my hard earned $500. Earl Mickelson P.S. please send my money back, I will send your Vacuum cleaner back, and even pay the postage, so glad to be rid of it.

Garry Vacuum Beware

This company is a scam. If you read on line, which I did, unfortunatley after the fact, they appear to be making more on replacement units than the original purchases.

My vac quit in less than 90 days but due to the holidays I waited a bit to call and it was exactly 1 week out of warranty. There was no grace period, no effort to make things right at all. I used this unit 3 times...

They disallowed the free replacement. It will now cost me another $50 to replace the unit and I also have to mail back the defective unit...

Never buy Garry!

We purchased the Garry vacuum with the same enthusiasm as other people who have left complaints. Our vacuum lasted for about 6 months before it broke. The vacuum's fan blade broke after picking up a small object every other vacuum cleaner we have owned in 30 years would have picked up. We followed procedure returning the vacuum at our cost and being charged the additional $50.00 per the agreement we accepted in the original offer. I chalked it up to a freak occurrence. Now within another 9 months our new replacement vacuum has broken, appears to be the same problem again. We have replaced this unit again and will only use it where we know it will only be picking up dust. I called the company to complain about the vacuum breaking for a second time. I talked to a woman who had a foreign accent; her accent definitely hindered my comprehension of all the words she spoke. When I complained about the charges & replacement fees, she reminded me I had agreed to them when we had purchased the unit. I told her that was true but I had not realized we would be replacing the vacuum every year for the rest of our lives. I ended the conversation by telling her I would be filing a complaint with the BBB.

My Garry Vac SUCKS! I have been through two since December 2009. The first one, inside plastic parts started to break that caused the Garry to stop working. The 2nd one happened this weekend (5-23-10), It started to make this horrible sound and SPARKS came out the bottom of the vaccume. This freaked us out. Called Monday (5-24-10), all they would offer me is a replacement. Remember this is the 2nd one since December 2009. I would have thought they would have given me a refund. I have learned my lesson big time. Never buy anything over the phone or computer. I SHOULD HAVE BAUGHT AN OREK! STAY AWAY FROM THE GARRY. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT... LaDona

Garry Vacuum cheap item

I bought a garry vaccum in june 09 and the motor stopped working in dec.09 . I had to give the company 50.00 for them to send me a replacement only to find out this was shipping for one way, I still have to pay more money to ship this broken vaccum back . They told me to insure it and even though insured they would just throw it in the dumpster once it got back. I have gotten a replacement for the broken one and now the replacement one has broken on the seond night of use. I feel that they are using inferior parts and are producing them in a manner that is inconsistent with good quality. I will never purchase another Garry nor will I recommend them unless people want to throw away money like the dirt that the vacuums can't even pick up. As of this date I have spent $350.00 and have no vacuum and plan to get on the phone everyday until I get this problem resolved.

Was given one as a gift. Two months later it broke a little white impeller inside. Paid all the fees to have a replacement sent. Within a week the same thing broke on the replacement. They wanted the same fees to send out yet another replacement! I just shove the damn thing into the closet! At a hundred bucks a pop just to get a replacement that's not much of a lifetime warranty!

I also bought a Garry vacuum and after two years use the impeller broke. They also asked for the $50.00 fee plus my credit card number to send me a used sweeper in place of my new one. No replacement parts are available according to them. Every negative comment I've read is true, the sweeper is junk and the company is a sham. The whole company is a scam. I ordered one vacuum on line with my credit card 3 month ago. They sent me two with a bill for the second vacuum which I never ordered. I asked them to send me a return postage label, never arrived after 3 calls. I finally threatened to file compliant with attorney general they finally emailed me a return paid postage. I took the vacum to post office and I was informed that A tracking number was not available for the return label that was sent. Save your money and time and hassel go to sears and buy a vacuum. Customer service are Indians, good luck talking to India.

I purchased the Garry vacuum in October of 2009 and I must say from the first time I used it, it didn't work. It failed to pick up anything . It did absolutely nothing that the commercial said it does. 39 day money back guarantee...RIGHT! You can't get to customer service and when you do, they give you the run around and it feels like it's impossible to get your money back. I purchased this vacuum because I trusted what they were selling, and you wouldn't think TV would exploit people as the Garry vacuum company turning out to have done. I don't know about you all, but I'm contacting the BBB in an attempt to start a Class Action Law Suit

I ordered the platinum pro. I ordered it a few months ago and it wont suck anything up. Its like there is a problem with both the tools and the floor part. It isnt plugged up anywhere. I called the customer dept. and they wanted me to send it back. Pay to get it to them, and pay $50.00 to get it back. I am 59 years old and I have never had a sweeper do this to me. I have always had it for years before anything went wrong. I will never order anything else off television like this again. Sandra Rueger

The garry vacuum is a very inferior product. We bought three (3) for different residences and have had to replace two of them. Now one of the replacements has a bad motor and they want $50.00 plus shipping for us to replace it. They really need to be stopped.

Garry Vacuum customer service/ replacement

I purchased this vacuum online in June '09 and December 15th '09 the motor broke (a piece of the fan blade on the motor broke off and the motor casing fell apart). I emailed customer service to find out how to go about replacing it on the 16th then called customer service on the 18th. When I was then told the cost of shipping a new vacuum to me- $50, and that I would also have to pay to ship the broken vacuum back, I asked the representative why I had to pay more to replace my vacuum than I did when I puchased it new. He told me that everyone pays the same and that there was nothing he could do to change it. I asked to speak with a manager or supervisor since they should be able to help out with the shipping cost since it hadn't even been 6 months and a $200 vacuum shouldn't break that soon. I was told that the supervisors line was busy but he could set up a call back for me. I agreed to the call back and then waited. I did not recieve a call back so I called on the 22nd. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got the same answer- the line was busy- I opted to put in another call back since it was early in the day and a Tuesday, I thought that I would get a call by the next morning. I did not, I waited till 1pm on the 23rd to call back. When I got through I asked for a supervisor but once again the line was busy, I told the rep to keep trying because I wanted to get the situation resolved. After being on hold for about 3 minutes the line went dead, so I called back, 3 more times and each time I received the same out come- the line was busy and then the line went dead. I did finally talk with a technician, who was very nice and cordial with me, I explained the situation and he told me that he would guarantee me a call back the next day (it was 2 minutes till close of business when I spooke to him) I did not receive a call back so I called on the 28th, I finally got through to a supervisor but of course he wasn't able to take off $10 or issue me a return shipping label. He was so rude with me the entire time- everytime I tried to speak he would interupt me. I finally told him to stop because I deserved to be treated with more respect, and that he would not stand for someone constantly interupting him if he were in my shoes. He did stop and I finally was able to ask for a manager. He could not just transfer my call to management he had to send them an email, but he Guaranteed that I would get a call back in 48 hours. I told him that I didn't believe him because I had been told that lie already. He said that he would put in the request but that he couldn't give me any contact info for management. I told him that I was already filing out the forms for the BBB and that if I did not hear from a manager by 2:45 on the 30th I would be sending the form in. At 2:46pm on the 30th I sent the online form off to the BBB. This morning, 12/04, at 8:53am I received a call from a manager but while I was explaining the situation the phone once again went dead. It is now 11am and I have not heard back from Garry Vacuum. I am now- because of all the hassles with this vacuum- am asking for a full refund. I had to go buy a new vacuum because I have 3 kids 2 cats and a dog and could not be with out a vacuum for this long- the new $50 vacuum that I bought picked up so much dirt in one pass on our livingroom floor (less than 200sqft) after only 2 days of not vacuuming that I'm not sure that the Garry was really doing it's professed job.

UPDATE: I finally have a resolution- The Manager agreed to ship a new vacuum with no shipping charge, I only have to pay to send the broken one back. At least I can determine just how much I pay for that.

i recently had a defect with my Garry vacuum that was purchased over 6 years ago. And after reading so many post on dissatisfied customers on the repair policies, such as shipping and handling fees and their dissatisfaction with customer service, i decided to find a vacuum repair site nearby. Thank goodness i did because it was a simple fix(a clog) but had i sent it in i FEEL paying the $50.00 just for them to check it out, this would have been a waist of time and money. So after speaking with the repair guy he explained that he made several request to become a repair site for Garry vacuum. He also shared his interest in the equipment and how good of a vacuum it is... So what i don't understand is why shouldn't Garry have repair sites? It would be convenient, less costly, and actually a better customer service relationship with Garry vacuum, because it is face to face. The company repair site name is: "A" located at 19 Ridge road, Munster, INDIANA 46321 PHONE: [protected] in my opinion as a current customer i believe this would benefit the customers. i just hate the fact that if it was a serious repair this repair site wouldn't have the parts or equipment to repair my Garry vacuum. I guess then i would trash it and purchase a Hoover.

Do not buy! Mine broke too, and I just learned about the shipping of the new one and the return. I was thinking of just getting a Garry replacement, but after reading the reviews, I'll probably have to get another replacement after a few months. Not worth it!

I have received 4 garry vacuums that have all broken (all in less than year and a half )they are all crap . The time spent on the phone to get another one is hours. My 4th one just broke and I am not going to get another. I think this is their plan, Make things really hard to get another and we will give up.
Garry is a horrible company and vacuum . Do not buy this product.

Don't buy this peice of CRAP Garry Vac! Mine broke after about 8 months. The motor quit working. They will not send me a label to send the broken one back. They said I have to pay for it. This is WRONG. I should not have to pay to send their DEFECTIVE product back! UPS wanted $115.00 to ship. I can't afford that. This company is a SCAM!

Thank you for your posting. I was all set to buy one of the garry vacuums. But after reading about their poor service and the disrespectful operators, supervisors and managers that they employ, I would never touch one of them. I learned the hard way with the Home Depot Roofing. I had a new roof installed by Home Depot and they did not do what they promised, it took 3 times as long as it should and they damaged my plants. Ist was only after this that I looked up online "Home Depot Roof Complaints" and discovered that MANY people have had complaints about the poor service & quality of Home Depot. Now I research everything before I buy it.

Garry Vacuum Vacuum quit working in less than 5 months

My bad that I fell for the hype on a late night infomercial. I ordered this product on-line rather than calling the number provided. Beware of ordering on-line. Usually you get an opportunity to complete an order after you have entered your info, but not on this website. The second you enter credit card info, the deed is done. Its gone, whew. just like that. No opportunity to look over what you ordered, no 'complete order' button to click on, and no order total. You receive no follow-up email and you are clueless about the total amount till you get your credit card bill. They offer lifetime replacement to original puchaser but fail to tell you just how much it will cost you in shipping and processing charges. "No questions asked" policy is also a scam, because the first thing they ask you (excluding your name and tel. no.) is "what is wrong with the vacuum cleaner?" On my first contact, they asked for the lot number printed on the sticker located on the bottom of the vacuum, and while I was looking for that, I was 'accidentally' diconnected. They offer free vacuum bags for life; you only pay $9.99 shipping and processing fees. I'm pretty sure I could get 3 Hoover bags for that amount or less. Again, my bad for falling for this scam. It was late at night and my brain wasn't operating at full capacity. I was told a new vacuum would be shipped for $50.00 and the cost to return the defective vacuum was my responsibility. If they did not receive the vacuum within 30 days< I would be charged $150.00. This vacuum is very loud and does not perform as demonstrated and promised on the infomercial, plus it broke down completely in less than 5 months. Do not fall for this scam. Please go to the store and buy your vacuum, because, if it breaks while in warranty, you can return it for a refund and not be charged ridiculous shipping and processing charges. These charges alone cover the entire cost of producing this 'hunk o junk'. This company has called me twice in the last two months trying to sell me more products. Each contact person has been Asian, and we all know the pay scales of these countries' workers. Garry Vacuum does not seem to ba a reputable company to me. Thank you for this forum.

Please, Please do not buy this vacuum cleaner. I made the mistake of buying it and less than 10 uses I now have a defective vacuum cleaner. I called and they said they would send a replacement at my expense which would total over $100's. I spoke to a foreigner who was so persistent about the cost like he was trying to convenience me not to do it. This was a scary transaction. I have an Oreck and I have not had one problem with it. The advertisement on TV announced it was better. My Oreck has lasted over 7 years and they have free maintenance every year for 8 years. Never again, I cannot afford to replace this after 10 uses and pay over $100 every time. I am getting one replacement then I guess I will have to take my losses after this. I called customer service 4 times and continued to get a Arab speaking representive. One time I heard hammering the back and people talking as though they were working on building something? HHmmm maybe it was a storage building for all the unrepairable defective Garry Vacuum Cleaners!

Once again please do not buy this vacuum cleaner!

I have had two break in less than one year. Their life time guarantee should include shipping and handling. This was a good vacuum while it worked, but I cannot afford to spend $50.00 for them to send me a new one and then another $25.00 to send the broken one back again... I wish the Better Business Bureau would investigate and I will not fall for another scheme like this again.

I'm on my second Garry Vacuum and something just broke and it quit working. I took it apart, thinking it was a belt. Couldn't find anything but after reading the complaints, I am certain it was that plastic propeller referred to in one of the complaints. I am NOT going to send it back again, spending my money for shipping and being charged $50 again. Also, BOTH vacuums (first one and the replacement) would not switch from floor cleaning to the attachment mode. The first one broke in an attempt to turn the switch, and the replacement won't turn at all! The only good thing I can say is that it really cleaned well - I have a dog and it sucked up the dog hair in carpeting VERY WELL. I wish the rest of it worked and I wish it hadn't broken down so easily. I also plan to go to a store where the warranty is good and the product is rated highly.

I fell for it! Wish I would have done my homework! I loved the new vac even though it was LOUD it did do a good job cleaning. However, it was less than 5 months old and it started to get LOUDER and LOUDER. I knew something was wrong. Called customer service and got ZERO help other than them offering to send me a new vacuum for Shipping and Handling charges of 50 bucks and for me to return the broken vac in the box they sent the new one in at my cost as well. AND if they didn't receive the broken one in a certain amount of time I would be charged 150 bucks! I called back numerous times asking to speak to a supervisor which were always in meeting. I finally took it apart myself and found the PLASTIC propeller was in a dozen pieces! They won't sell me that part either! I'm on the hunt for a new vacuum with a REAL warranty!

I'm so sorry that I didn't do my homework before making a purchase from Garry Vacuum. I purchased two of these units back in June 2006 thru the Garry website as a result of watching their late nite infomercial. My attitude of superiority in being able to recognize a scam has been sorely exposed as being just as faulty as these vacuum cleaners. Just to make a long story short - I just finished a conversation with a Garry Vacuum Cleaner customer noservice rep who was located in India. After multiple phone calls and disconnects, we were finally able to retrieve my order number. (Beware, if you order online, you will not receive the order number in your confirmation e-mail.) Anyway, you will be asked for a credit card so that they may bill you $50.00 for shipping and "processing." UPS ground rate for a 13 lb package between my home and the Garry Vacuum return address is $13.38. Why so much for processing. Labor at those Indian call centers can't possibly be that expensive. However, I digress - The bottom line is that you will receive a flimzy and inferior product should you decide to do business with these people. The lifetime warranty isn't worth the paper it wasn't printed on (I never received any wrtten warranty documents. BEWARE - DO A LOT OF RESEARCH B4 YOU PULL OUT THAT CREDIT CARD AND BUY SOMETHING FROM GARRY VACUUM.

The same thing is happening to me! My vacuum brok on the 2nd use! They our source the customer servise & they are absolutely no help @ all. I have been hung up in twice, placed on eternal hold several times & one even laughed in my face! They have no athority to resolve any problems but refuse to let you talk t a"manager" or someone who has athority! They lie & say they are on site in Cal. But they refuse to give me the home office #! There is no listing for Garry Vacuum in Cal. They offered to replace my broken vacuum, but wanted to charge my $50 s&h & then I had to return the broken vacuum@ my cost! If the broken vacuum is lost or damaged during shipping they said they would automatically charge my card $200! I refused! & after searching the internet, I found numerous similar complaints. The next day I called back & asked for a full refund they refused! I do not trust this company or it's product...so why would I want a replacement vacuum that will more than like break again w/in 2-5 times! I want a full refund & want nothing more to do w/ this company! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I have already registerd a complaint w/ the BBB. If you or anyone you know has been ripped off by this co. Garry Vacuum Refund

In october 09 i made a terrible decision to order 2 garry vacs for my business. I fell for all the hype. Lightweight, free bags exc. The vacs one standard one commercial are such a piece of crap! They didnt last but 5 days. Garry vacuum debited my account immediatly for both even though they are supposed to give a 30 day test. I have called every monday since trying to get my money back with them giving me all sorts of excuses. Just so you know i did give them the tracking numbers for both. I called again today 12/7/09. Again the told me id get my refund in 5-7 days.. Not falling for that again. I have asked to be contacted by accounts dept since thet wouldnt transfure me. Im sopposed to get a call back within 24 hrs. Wish me luck! Ps save yourself alot of frustration and go with the panisonic vac the 17 lbs is worth it to me.

Upon the return of your vacum I was charged 150.00 when I called to see why I was told that it took me too long to return the broken unit. It matters not how long it took to return the unit but I feel it was inappropriate for your company to charge after the fact. And is this is your policy I should have been charged earlier not upon return of the product. This is poor customer service to day the least. I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charges as I feel you cannot charge someone twice for a unit that isnt worth didly to begin with. You wouldnt have gotten me but my husband called himself doing something nice for me when he purchased it to begin with. Had I known what I know today about the quality of the product I would have made him send it back immediately! Look forward to hearing from you and I am prepared to take you through whatever changes I must to get your company to return my money!

I purchased the Garry Vacuum for $199 + S&H (about $50). I was replacing the vacuum cleaner after 7 months, now six months after the replacement it has quit working again. I would not recommend this product at this time as you will be constantly having problems with it. I have decided to go with a Dyson Animal as that is what 2 of my friends (who have dogs) own. They love it and have no problems with it.

NEVER PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! IT IS THE WORSE PRODUCT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT! I bought a Garry vac 3 years ago...after using it 2 times, I repeat 2 times the plastic coming out of the motor that carries what you have vacuumed up to the bag EXPLODED blowing the plastic pieces all over the living room...I promptly called the customer service dept, as well as email Bob..who assured me my vacuum would be replaced free of charge, as I was well within the 30 days from purchase, I would not have to pay any shipping charges...It is now 3 years later and I have NEVER gotten a replacement..Everytime I call them I am told I have to pay a $50 shipping fee to receive the new one and another $50 fee to send the broken one back on top of that they want to put a $200 hold on my card until they receive the broken unit...This is the WORST purchase I have ever made in my life...Nobody at the customer service department speaks English...They are all Indian and worse yet not even located in the United States...I hope this post helps at least one person to save their money...They even charged me for bags after I asked them not to send them anymore because the vac was broke...I had to call my bank and stop payment on my debit card and have them blocked from charging anything to my account...I hope this helps someone to make the decision to NEVER PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! IT IS THE WORSE PRODUCT I HAVE EVER BOUGHT!

We were at a customers place of business. Saw the Garry Vac, tried it - seemed good, they said if it breaks you need to ship back and they would send you a refurnished one in return. Plus if you need additional bags their free with a $10.00 s& h. This could be interesting in itself! My main complaint at this point is, , ... I order ONE vacuum cleaner and One set up bags.. I received however THREE vacuum cleaner one one set of bags. Now the dilemma on is getting them returned and MY money back. The Company moves VERY, VERY VERY SLOW! It appears no one can make decisions. Plus the website doesn't show you what's in your cart before or after entering the credit card. BUYER BE WARE!

I have actually enjoyed the Garry Vac but ! I have been waiting for a belt for a month now! I emailed the owner of the company and complained about needing another belt so soon and he promised to send me one at no charge! Great ! Thank You... 2 weeks later - emailed him again and told him how disappointed I was in him ! He emailed me back and said the belt was "out of stock" ! Out of stock? Are you seriious? Anyway, I said OK and - here I am = another two weeks and still NO BELT ! They are ruining their business and my good comments because of a BELT? Well, serves them right I guess!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! I bought this as a Christmas Present for my mom. The vacuum was used 1 time and did not work at all!. I immediately called back in December to ensure that I was within the 30 days-- and was told it was "No Problem"-- they would send me a return shipping label and would get a full refund. I nevrr received the return shipping label, and after repeated calls, was getting no where. I was finally told that the 30 days had expired and I would need to pay over $100.00 to ship it back and could no longer get my money back. I also had been trying to stop the "free bags". However they keep sending me the bags and charging me for the shipping of the bags.. Finally I was tired of it, and tried to speak with a manager, and was told no-- that they would "cancel the bags, but i was stuck with a vacuum, and could NEVER get any more bags". They also hung up on me.

FYI-- the call center is based in India, and it is a law that they MUST connect you with a representative from the US, but they will refuse, and yell at you. I was told that this was now my problem, and they didn't care that the product they sell does not work. I was told by 3 different supervisors that they have numerous complaints and know that it has problems, but once the 30 days is up, they don't care.

This is all a scam.. You call within the 30 days and they procrastinate untiolo the 30 days are up... so that they don't have to give you a refund.

Also FYI-- the US contact information is: Peter Spiegel.. [protected]-- Maybe if he get enough calls..they will run the business better.. I also filed a complaint with the BBB -- maybe that will help!
