StopRepairBills.com All they want is my info, they are the same as the other recent scams

I saw a commercial for stoprepairbills.com and inquired. I left my phone number on stoprepairbills.com to get a quote from them. I figured if it was less then 1000 dollars for like 5 years maybe that would cover my transmission going, (cause I have a crappy car) so the lady called me back, she said she was a manager. Then after about 1 minute on the phone with her I realized that this was a scam. She went through the whole speel of having to go talk her to product manager to get me the best deal. Then she told me that I had to make a commitment, or my deal would not be good. She told me that the warrranty was 2700 dollars. I said 'thanks, thats all i needed to know' she said, 'what do you mean?' in a very snotty voice. I explained to her that oney would take care of any auto damage I would have, so i dont need the warranty, she then said 'well, what DO YOU think would be a good cost?' I was floored I could not believe a company was talking to me like this. I then said, 'okay, thanks, have a good night' she did not say anything and then hung up on me. I cant imagine how i would be treated if I actually bought service and tried to file a claim! They called me back from a number [protected]) that was different then the number i called them with. When i looked up this number it was for a bunch of other extended car warranty services. and the complaints were exactly the same. All they want is my info, they are the same as the other recent scams. Buyer beware.

StopRepairBills.com Don't pay them

I was taken advantage of by StopRepairBills.com when I bought an extended warrenty. I made my payments on time and put the product in as stated and kept up on all maintanence needed to do.

But these people when it came down to the time that I needed to use them gave me the run around.

The garage called in for a claim on the repairs but they would say that it wasn't covered. Then I would call and ask why not, they would reply that part of it wasn't. But another part that needed to be covered was.

When I asked why they didn't tell the shop that, they said " Well he didn't ask".

So in the long run they didn't want to honor anything at all. I got so mad I canceled it and lost over $600. already paid in. On top of that they tried screwing me over by taking another payment.

I fought for over 45 days to get that money back. So watch yourselves. It's cheaper to save the money in an emergency account than to pay them.

Good for you man! Thts way to good to be true, how is it that a company can say that they will pay for your auto bills? That is unheard of, especially for such a simple concept. Thats what car insurance is for, and there is a reason they won't pay for that, its too risky and random. And they were rather "hidden" when it came to what and when you paid. Total scam. My car is a piece of crap, when will you ever need to fix something like that unless you don't know how to care for your vehicle? LOL

I called to get a quote and was fortunate to not experience what others have claimed to experience with this company. However, thanks to this blog site, I decided to check them out and others like them before making any commitment. I went onto the BBB website and did a search for this company on their national database. As it turned out I did not like what...

StopRepairBills.com is this really a business?

I called the number on the "Stop Repair Bills" commercials just to get a quote. I spoke with a male representitive that told me my car would qualify for a warranty at 210k+ miles. He then told me that he might be able to get me a better policy to cover more on my car because i stated nothing was mechanically wrong with it. (which at this point is very true) So, he put me on hold for no more than 2 minutes and comes back stating his supervisor had given the go ahead to put my car on the policy for cars under 200k miles. (he must have talked quickly to relay all that had been said by me) So he says it would be $598 a yr for 5 yrs or $2898 all up front, or a down payment of $295 and $128 a month for 18 months. I told him I had just called for a quote and thanked him for his time. He began with "before you hang up, why not take this today?" I told him i had just paid bills and my debit card was low and i couldn't do it at that time. Then i was told, " hold on and i'll see if i can get that payment lowered and get you started". A second man gets on the phone this time. He explains he's a supervisor and the representitive had explained the situation and wanted him to see what he could do about lowering the deposit. Yet again i told this man i had only called for a quote. After explaining the money situation again he asks "How much do you have?" So i told him $80. He then came back with i can do it today for only $75. I said i'd have to talk to my husband. He said he'd wait. I told him my husband was at work. "then call him..." I tried to explain to him that if i did that he would probly get fired, extended warranties are not an emergency... "Then give me his work number and i'll call him..." WTH?!? I kept telling this guy no but he kept pushing. I told him i'd call back after talking to my husband and just pay the $295 deposit. This was his response, "Well, if you hang up now and don't take this policy then it won't be available later. This is your only chance to take advantage of this." So, i apologized for being rude right before i hung up the phone on him.
Granted car repair bills can be expensive, but by no means have i ever encountered a repair shop that charges $120-190 an hour for labor on the east coast as the second man i spoke with had stated. The Acura dealership near my home only charges $50 an hour. My point is this, I would rather search around for a price that i wanted to pay for future repair bills than give these people any of my money. If they were reputable they wouldn't have to be so pushy or say things like "this is your only chance to get this at all".

Johnnyalden is obviously getting paid by this company. Don't belieave any of the S... he is saying. This companies are always paying people so that they can talk good about them and settle the fury from so many customers that they have done scams to. I also asked for information on this company and a pretty friendly guy gave me a call and said that my warranty coverage would cost me a $295 as down-payment and that after wards I would only have to pay $185 a month for 18 months. I was about to give him my credit card information, but I was unable to find my wallet I told him if he could wait so that I could search it and he did. I looked for it for about 10min. and yup he was still waiting. Then I told him that apparently I couldn't find my wallet. Then he said that it was fine that if I had a check that would work, but I told him I didn't use checks at all. Then he asked me which was my bank. I told him Bank of America and he said he could give them a call and that we could do a three way call that he could just get the account number when they gave it to me...Then all of a sudden that catched my attention...Apparently he really wanted me to buy this no matter what. So I agreed on giving a call to bank of america, but while they had us on wait. I went online pretty quick online and read blogs and posts over stoprepairbills.com and just as I suspected. I found pure negative comments about this company. Such as bad customer service, and not doing what they promise when they give you a that call. Later I found out that someone broke into my appartment and that they had taken my wallet. I only had $140 cash and that all they were able to take from me. Stop repair bills would've taken waaaay more. Someone stealing my wallet was a good thing this time. I ended up saving money.

You have over 200, ooo miles on your car, the fact that they were even going to offer you coverage is doing you a favor. I could understand why they wouldn't want you calling back after you had a problem. Furthermore my car is covered through this company for another four years and about 80, 000 miles i've used my policy twice in the past year, on an alternator and a transmission. The transmission would've cost over 2, 000 out of my pocket. My policy was about 3, 000 total and with the intrest free payment plan they've payed more than I have. ALSO I DO NOT PAY A DEDUCTABLE! It sure is strange how everyone wants to talk bad about a company (that they don't even know about), but you never hear the good things.

StopRepairBills.com Switch and Bait / High Pressure Sales

Salesman told me one thing, and the contract that was emailed to me stated something entirely different. Then when asked for an explanation, he stated, "You just don't understand the facts that were told to you. If you don't sign the contract now, you will not recieve the bonus credit of $100 gas. (Not one of the companies listed is in my region of the U.S., so it is worthless), and we are having in interoffice contest and I am one contract away from the daily bonus. You don't want to be the one that makes me lose that, do you?" Contacted a large, local, reputable auto repair shop, and the service manager stated that he and their company has had nothing but bad dealings with this company.

Stop Repair Bills.com is a scam pure and simple...

I registered with them after joining them after seeing their cool TV ads..
It was a bait and switch.. I got some additives from a 3rd party company to put into my car.. Then I got a service contract from another company, not stoprepairbills.com. Got really nervous, red flags..

I called them to cancel...

Firstly, they say there is a period that you have to cancel.. but when you call up, they put you on hold, break you down by having you repeat the same thing to atleast 3 different people and then after the 50th time of repeating that you want to cancel, they put you onto a HIGH PRESSURE salesman who talks really condescendingly, as if he is doing you a favor. Goes on to tell you that you are in a contract and that they did not oversell... that you could wait another week and see how you feel... (Hoping you will say yes and thereby lapsing into the period outside the free cancellation date). The guy just wouldnt let up..! Sweet talking smooth slimy sonofa[censored]! Kept making me feel guilty and said, what if your car breaks down? what if you are stranded? what about your famil;y? [censor] like that...

I finally told him, that I could just call my bank and do a chargeback, so stop playing my for a fool and cancel my damned contract! That was that... I was cancelled, but I had to waste an entire hour and get stressed out trying to do something so simple..

I agree that stoprepairbills.com is a scam because i recently called the 1-800 number they first gave me last month when i had been highpressured into purchasing their warranty. I had told their salesperson a fin, stating I no longer own my vehicle and wanted to cancel my warranty. he then transferred me to one of their customer service representative and she informed me to send a letter with my name, reason for cancellation, last known milage of my vehicle, sign/dated and a copy of a reciet. then she gave me an addess to send the letter: Warranty Service 1001 Craig Road St. Louis Missouri 63146.
However, thinking something was not right about the tone and attitude of the CSR, I did a google/internet search of this address and it came up with the name of a different business...Disability Law group and not the name she gave me. So the red flags went up immediately and contacted my local Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. They replied right away and told me to call the MO State Attorney General to pursue further complaints against them. At this point I feel very upset because I feel very victimized about the fraud they may have committed against me. I hope I will be able to recover the 4125 they already took from my bank account. I quickly however went to my bank and closed my debit card so they won't be able to charge me the monthly payments of $94.50. I am unemployed, disabled, and right now going through a rough time financially. Also I recently received a letter from a company called MEPCO which i figured is part of their scam which they state they are the one who will be handling my warranty service. I had emailed them several times too to ask them to cancel my warranty but they never replied back to me. I also called their 1 800 number but got a recording that never put me in touch with a live operator. So yes they are a very huge scam artist i feel.

StopRepairBills.com Bait & Switch

BAIT & SWITCH...
When I spoke with the representative on the phone the details of coverage explained & e-mailed to me did not match the contract paper work. When I questioned the discrepancies, it was explained “I must have misunderstood”, I explained I had an e-mail with the details & price quote, which I had to forward back to a manager (I guess he thought I was lying). When they called back they were very abrasive and challenging, no offer of a solution, compromise, or apology for what could have been and honest mistake. Since I had to pay a 10% deposit to secure the policy & rate offered in order to have the contract sent for review, signed and returned, I had to fight for a refund. They continued to keep trying to sell me policies. Ultimately, I called my card company and filed a fraudulent charge in order to receive my refund. After I received a call back from a “manager” telling me I was “out of line” going to my credit card company. Unbelievable!
Fight harder to get the copy of the contract prior to paying anything, even if you all ready have it in writing via e-mail.

i am a previous employee of stop repair bills which has amazingly changed its name 2 times since i have been working there this company has managers that curse at you on a everyday basis and they have their favorites when it comes to being a screener with their company they are now known as being the VEHICLE SERVICE CENTER they say that we changed the name to avoid having to always explain what stop repair bills meant but i say BUYOUT, whats weird is right before our company name was changed one of our managers took a little secret trip to Florida to see what tactics they use in their scripts, everything that they use at the company is a script and as a previous employee i can say that they changed the script 6 times because they "wanted to see what works for the company" ha ha ha load of crap they also changed our schedules on us without a advance written warning and downsized our lunch break from an hour to thirty minutes, the screeners and salesman mysteriously are no longer in the same building because of "expansion" and now screeners are not only dispatching calls to the old srb building but magically are able to send calls to other warranty companies that they are "brokering" for I am not writing this statement as a angry ex employee i am writing this statement because i am finally free from being cursed at on a daily basis as well as being sexually harassed their treatment of some female employees if you choose to even speak your mind or disagree with them on anything will become very harsh and as payback they will find anything to write you up for sometimes more than one write up in a day or possible suspension for days the things that went on and still go on inside these walls are unbelievable and if they fire you they make it clear that if you try to sue them over anything then they will countersue for arbitration, which to me is basically a scare tactic now i wont lie i will miss the decent paycheck but being told to shut the f... up and f... you and you are a godd... idiot and do your f... job right and you have s... for brains i will not miss and the grand puba even curses i call him the grand puba cause he acts like he is a king and his employees are peasants or royal subjects, and if you choose to go to him and complain he will tell you to get the f... out of his office immediately and from then on prepare for the plot to get you fired or as they call it getting all the dead weight a...es out of their "business practice because we are trying to run a business" i have never worked for a company that if they truly are trying to run a business they would allow a person who sells marijuana to set up shop on their parking lot as well as knowing that half of the employees there huddle up and get high before they begin work, whats funny is one of the managers does it as well, they have a radio that they play that plays explicit as well as edited music and they have the sports games playing on every flat screen television in the place sounds more like a daycare to me when i worked for the company i strictly did it to help finance my future endeavors which i guess in the end turned around and bit me in my behind but i will say this in my time working there i watched and observed and i realize now if i was indeed a evil person i know enough to begin a case against them but wont because they told one employee if they did that they would blackball them and make sure they never get another job how this company can do that i will never understand i cannot even understand how they keep changing their names and outrunning lawsuits...well folks that is all on UNITED WARRANTY WHOLESALE, AKA NDW AKA STOP REPAIR BILLS, AKA VEHICLE PROTECTION CENTER, AKA VEHICLE SERVICE CENTER LOL LOL the company is a joke when they call you simply say to the person on the phone why dont you get a real job with benefits it gets under their skin..i know it always got under mines almost hurt my feelings..hi stop repair bills when they see this blog people they will do their best to pick apart the suspects and find out who did this to punish them but for all the mistreatment and on behalf of other former employes who were warned to "keep their d... mouth closed" stop repair bills GO STRAIGHT TO HELL

These people are a SCAM! I just got the contact...not what they promised...sales people LIE on the phone, then you get the contract and it basically says that it really does not cover anything and they can deny any claim for pretty much any reason...and if you actually read the contract is states that it costs $3200 and the max the contract with pay is $6500----so if you can BEG these people to do their job u might get something, however I went to cancel the contract and the company just refuses...they LIE...so thank goodness my credit card company is denying the charges and fighting these scammers for me...

hey figment, dont you think maybe before buying the policy you should have asked the salesperson these questions insted of getting on here and trying to ask ex employees? Why would an ex employee get on here anyway? Maybe to rag on the company fired him for being a sucky salesperson. Yes, I work for StopRepairBills, and I have talked to customers who call us to set up coverage again after their policy ends because we saved them alot of money. And the reason we do ask for money down is because most of these people who get coverage with us dont have alot of money and try to call in and get the coverage for a pre existing condition! Or when something happens to the vehicle, they get thier claim paid then then cancel therefor screwing us! So READ YOUR CONTRACT STUPID! If your check engine light is on and you tell us everything is running fine, then your gonna be upset, but not if you read your contract! Thats why you have 30 days to look it over, and if you find anything in it you dont agree with you can get a full refund. Can you call Gieco right after you total your car and get coverage...NO! Expect the same here! And Jaso... Im sorry you had such a bad experience with EXTENZ... but at the same time, its not a supository! Either way, you have to stick to your end of the contract just as we do! The companies that pay the claims for SRB are all A rated with the BBB! Any Questions?

DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE MONEY! In fact, don't even talk to them. I was a victim of this "company" a few months ago. I filed a complaint with the BBB and the "company" refunded my money, but it took me 3 months and they still call me twice a week trying to sell me [censor]!

Read the other complaints about the prolong additives and the difference between what they claim to cover, and what is actually covered.

Bottom line is, they offer to "warranty" your vehicle sight unseen, and they take your word on the vehicle condition and mileage. It sounds too good to be true because it is.

Don't get tangled up like I did with these scammers!

Stoprepairbills.com is a fraud! I completely agree with you. Not only did they deny my claim after 6 months of having the contract and obliging with all the hoops they made me jump through just to file it, but when I canceled it today they denied a full refund even though they tell you in the beginning that they will give you a refund for the months of service not used, which in my case was none! I really hate companies that love to take from people who have less then them. They are dishonest and the fact of the matter is that their customer service is atrocious and don't explain the contract the way it really truly is. I didn't even receive the contract so I could not read over it. I basically went by their word and they screwed me! this is the worst company in the world and I would warn everyone to stay away from it otherwise you will lose your money and waste extreme amounts of time as well.

Theykept telling me the benefits of their policy. I told them 15 times that i want to cancel my policy - that is all. They started lecturing me. I was getting very upset. My heart started pounding. I have an overactive thyroid. So i had to calm down. I told him please cancel my policy. I am still shaking
