I am a cartoonist and if you make caricatures and want to animate them singing, this is for you. They constantly add new music and memes. The synchronized and animation is right on the money. Occasionally it glitches, but not often. It can be a bit unpredictable at times; for instance, select a song and an drawn image and it works. Select a different song, same image, and it sometimes says no faces found. Overall this is very clever and well done. On my wish list is recognizing animals and animating them.

Started the trial and noticed it offered lifetime access for $29. Played with app on a few photos and really liked it but noticed a countdown timer which showed less than 1 hour to trial app. So, I went back to purchase and the price jumped from $29 to $34. I then thought it was a mistake so I tried the app again but this time the price jumped to $44. This is a con and not a real trial. Who raises the price during the trial and raises it about $5 per minute or so during the trial. Apple should ban this practice.

So I’m Scrolling Through The App Store And I See This App Called Revive (this) And I See What It Is And I Go “Woah” So I Get It. And It Downloads And I Notice That I Can’t Choose Another Song so I Choose I Feel Good Y’know That Song? Anyways I Choose That Song And I Have To Pick A Photo So I Thought “huh. Should i do Runescape gnome Or Space Monkey smoking cigar?” Then I Pick Runescape Gnome And I Wait For Like an Entire Minute And Suddenly I See This… I See Thi- nevermind Anyway it Was Traumatizing so 1/5 - Toaster 2023

I was super excited to get this app. Big mistake. Very limited selection of songs and super dumb quotes pulled out from the most obscure movie clips. It is fun for the first six times, but as soon as I paid for it, the quality and service greatly declined. Constantly can’t open and tells me I have a “bad internet connection,” which is simply not true. Degrades and distorts images. Not what it claims to be. I feel robbed. I wrote to them and asked them why they deleted my saved favorites, but never got an answer.

Animations are pretty solid but does have some trouble detaching long hair from the subject and moves head area only. Most animations/audio are male…need more balance. User interface is pretty bad. Not intuitive to start a new animation. App worked great a couple weeks ago now won’t do anything as it states bad internet connection and won’t open. I have a high speed connection and all other apps work. Paid for full license and now it doesn’t work.

Update: Reinstalled the app and it works now. Looking forward to future improvements!

First, it's fun. Ignoring the ads, it's unique and funny. Two down falls: there's a distinct quality difference in animations. It seems quite a bit of effort went into some, but it's obvious they're trying to put new animations to keep up with demand and it's noticeable; quantity over quality. Second, I would buy pro, but it's fairly expensive. Originally it was $39 but then after first video it jumped to $44.99. While it's fun, not worth it. They do offer weekly rate of $4.99, but not something I'm interested in. Thanks for the laughs those!

It seems to be great at the beginning but if you don’t pay the $39 fee then it becomes unusable.
You get bombarded with ads.
The ads don’t give you an option to click to exit the ad, instead they try to trick you into downloading some app you don’t want, so you have to close the app.
In addition, images of men with beards do not work.
This app looks like it was created by teens eager to make money.
Unfortunately, it takes more than a good design to make customers want it, and the creators don’t seem to have a clue.
I gave up on this app.

My co workers send me pictures all the time to do voice overs for whether it’s singing or memes. Loved the app at the beginning. Now with all the updates. It’s all meme sounds, where I was using mostly music sounds. The music they do have isn’t very much and it’s the “kid pop” version instead of just using the actual artist. Music is limited, even when you search they don’t have much and it doesn’t allow you to add songs if you’re looking for a particular song for the picture you use. It is a fun app but with the updates it’s not as fun as when I started using it

So I started enjoying the free app, and was creating a few fun animations while contemplating purchasing the ‘pro’ version. But the free app would not let me go beyond 4 (free) animations without the ‘pro’ screen popping-up, and I could not get passed it! My finger hovered over the purchase button in the hope to release and continue, but common sense prevailed with my thought process being that if you are ‘tricked’ into the free app just to get the pro version, what does it say about the developers! Maybe I would have given 5-stars had I ‘gone’ pro, but who knows!

While I like the app as a gimmick, I subscribed on a weekly basis to have fun. I cancelled after a week, and it was still charging. I checked to ensure I had unsubscribed, and I was. I figured I had missed the window to cancel, and accepted the charge. The next week, I was charged again. I tried to solve it on the phone by text support, and couldn’t. I had to call Apple support to get the charge reversed. The confirmed I had canceled and couldn’t explain the charge. So, beware that you might get stuck paying a subscription you cancel. Otherwise, it’s a fun and entertaining app.

The app works well, but the company practices are very deceiving. In free mode, there’s a watermark on everything you produce, and you have to watch a bunch of terrible ads for games that you cannot exit out of until you waste a minute of your life each time. I went ahead and spent the five dollars for the app, not realizing that was only for one week, so after five dollars, I’m right back to the free version of garbage. Don’t waste your time with this junk, these companies force feed advertising down your throat and it makes any products that they produce that would be good, totally not worth it. I want my $5 back.

I love this app it is hilarious and fun and everyone enjoys it but, after one or two pictures you have a long ad then every time I choose a face it asked me if I want to get pro which I think I would if it gave more information about what it does how better it is and if there’s ads every other animation. And then it only let you do 2 and it won’t let me do anymore!
Otherwise I absolutely love it give it four stars just because of the ads and the constant asking if I want to join pro. Which like I said I would if it gave a little bit more information about it. Yeah I even tried to search for Revive Pro in the App Store and could not find it.

Someone had told me about the app so I downloaded it this morning and was having a blast. Went to show my family once I got home, purchased the week membership to support and now anytime I open the app it’s stuck on a loading screen.

I’ve redownloaded the app, I’ve restarted my phone, I’ve turned my Wi-Fi and network off then turned it back on and nothing will get the app off the loading screen. If I leave the app from the loading screen and come back it says I’m not connected to the internet.

Would love to support the app further but if I can’t access it for longer than 6 hours especially after paying for the membership then I recommend staying away from it!

As a developer, I can say they have done a great job. The amount of time and thought put toward this app is tremendous. I love the lifetime fee, but I would add an annual fee to attract more people and generate recurring revenue from people.

The price point removes many people at $40 as people won’t spend it on a novelty item. I would suggest a $20/25 annual and lifetime option. People don’t like a weekly fee, always a monthly or annual it’s a mental thing.

Nothing is perfect, but the people commenting with lower stars have no idea what it takes to develop this app.

Great job! I love the hours of enjoyment my family is getting from it. I cannot wait to see the future upgrades. Keep up the good work!

This app is easy to use. It will bring a smile to your face and in some cases will generate a good old fashioned belly laugh.

It is easy to use, just grab a song, select a photo with one or more faces and it will generate an animated video for up to 4 faces in the photo. Download the video to share with friends and family.

I especially love it when the song has different singing parts done by different faces in the photo. It can also identify faces in paintings and pets. It does a better job finding pet faces when there are no human faces in the picture.

I look forward to new features as this app progresses. Support is very responsive and new tunes are added frequently to the app. Thanks for the endless entertainment.

When you start, they want you to pay $39 before you even try. It takes a lot of patience to tell them no and use the “free trial”. I succeeded in doing it once and they give you a watermarked file. That’s okay. The lip sync was “okay” so I wanted to try another file. Then I tried again and anything I pressed it kept showing me full screen commercials to download other apps and no matter what I pressed or how long I waited, that’s all you get. You can’t get past commercials to use the app after the first go. If you reload, it now requests you pay $45 for it. Since I can’t figure out if the paid version has the watermark or allows you to upload your own files or test quality of the lip sync beyond the first one, it got deleted.

It’s a really neat app, I’ll give it that. Fun and user-friendly enough that I’ll happily give it 4-stars. The thing keeping it from being 5-stars is the constant, in-you-face, pleading for money. If it was a one time thing that’s whatever, if I used it enough I’d play a buck or two to get rid of ads and the water mark. But they’re asking for a lot of money to get rid of it…a lot. You can pay one large lump sum and have the “pro” version for a year or you can pay a few bucks a week for it. It pops up pretty frequently asking you to upgrade to pro, usually after those heinous mobile ads that basically force you into the App Store. Aside from that it’s a really cool app that’s a fun time waster with a surprising amount of audio choices!

Hello I left a review a few days ago after being denied a refund (that I was charged for- after I requested they cancel the charge!).

The app barely does half of what it says it does and even then all it’s good for is stupid songs that are worn out and boring. They send an auto reply email and take your $40 even if you explain you meant to click the $10 option; they’ll especially take your money after you realize the app is a scam!

I didn’t even save the test video it was so disappointing. You can’t see all the features without paying so I went to buy the weekly it signed me up for lifetime- then when i was in it was nothing like it says it is. Wanna try it for a week?

Spend the $10 but be careful because they’ll charge you $40, it won’t work and they’ll ignore your reviews/emails, all while denying the refund

At first I loved this app. It offered users dozens and dozens (and dozens) of tunes that were easily connected to images of friends and acquaintances to animate the faces to match the lyrics. What’s not to like? The range of tunes to select from was what sold me on Revive. Classic rock. Hip hop. R & B classics. Nostalgia! Funk! Soul! Amazing.

Then, just after a month after starting my subscription…things changed dramatically and not for better. All those. Lassis tunes by legendary artists? Gone. Replaced by sound bites from TV and movies. I would not have subscribed so I could send a pic of myself or a friend saying “life is like a box of chocolates” or Clint’s “make my day.” There are still a few tunes, but just a tiny fraction of what they originally offered. There appears to be a single version of “happy birthday” but the overwhelming majority are stupid “singing in the shower” recordings where someone murders a classic tunes with what sounds like a drunken, off-key version. Oh, and phrases clipped from anime cartoons.

It’s like subscribing to a steaming channel on the web, then after your payment clears all they offer are “Friends, big bang theory, and judge Judy reruns. Only a very small child would find value in what remains. But what is most galling is that no warning or announcements were sent to paid subscribers. The responses from revive have been dismissive and perfunctory. “Thanks for sharing. We have your money, go away.”

Don’t be fooled. This company behaves like a scammer, so avoid getting ripped off and look elsewhere.

I was able to make a couple of reels with interruptions from advertisements, which are long. The deal breaker for me was the last ad never ended. There was no way to get out of the ad and back to creating.

Developer needs to rethink free version. The only thing the free version did was make me want to delete it.

The reviews said there was a choice of ads which made app free. I was not given that choice. I chose iPad version. It only offered me two prices. I tried to swipe out of it. I deleted immediately. But now I have an email saying I put something on Apple Pay. I see it is now on my phone. Who makes this app and how can I cancel it?

I tried several times to work with my pantings. Unusual but really cool if this app didn't assume boundaries of a face. If you can adjust it to non-human pet faces, I should be able to use it for my painting which have eyes & mouths on a head. I hope the developers apply a fix so users can create how it best suits their images.

Every picture I try to use gives me an “Invalid security header” error. Even on pictures that worked before.

I opened a case with the developer through the app and have heard nothing. I decided to delete the app and reload and it worked, but all my favorites were gone. Having to uninstall and reinstall as a fix should not be the solution.

Update: Yes I know that Mr developer. Now I will give it a 2 star because it’s obvious the customer service department needs help.

If they could introduce an affordable monthly subscription for this I would throw my money to it. Weekly? Can’t do that. Can’t justify it. I absolutely love the app though. Great idea and very user friendly.

Had a lot of fun with the free version despite watching the ads to get to the video. Used to animate several faces to a song, now only allows one face to a song and have to purchase pro version to animate multiple faces. Cost of app / time spent watching ads / changes they have made, went from an app I recommended to an app don’t bother….

Tried to use the app and I was charged $31+ okay fine… when using my pets image to a song it never processed his image to the song. I tried several of his images and the app never matched up. I deleted the app (less than 24 hrs) I want to make sure this was never charged to my account.
Also I could not find a tutorial or basic info on the app.

The examples it shows you are extremely misleading. The don’t come out that clean ever. They look extremely rough. The songs you have to choose from are all crappy covers of the real song. Very disappointed. If this was a beta version that they were testing and not charging for then it would be fine, but to charge money for this unpolished garbage is robbery.

I’m glad I did not pay for this before trying it out. I selected probably eight different pictures and every time the mouth was very poorly positioned and nothing like the examples they gave. It even replaced an eyeball with a mouth in one. I was very disappointed because I had looked forward to doing a few videos and getting a few laughs with the people involved.

This is a dreadful app. One photo uploaded three times despite me uploading it once and then everything froze. I tried rebooting my phone. It’s not working. Prior to this second attempt, the very first time it work, immediately prior to me paying money, with what was a very clear face but the app just made it look ridiculous. Don’t give them your money. I’m reporting them.

If you’re going to rate an app to be allowed for kids (currently 9+), then the advertisements should also correspond with the recommended age. I’m so tired of allowing my kids to use apps that are age appropriate, but then inappropriate sleezy advertisements/games are frequently displayed. This makes me lose trust in your product and therefore we are uninstalling this app.

I love this app and purchased the upgrade. I was appalled to see the disturbing animation of President Biden. Not only is it unAmerican and disrespectful, but it ridicules people with speech impediments. I really hope it is removed and that this isn’t an indication of where this app is headed. My one star speaks only to this atrocity. I will remove this, if this horrible animation is remove.

After I paid FORTY DOLLARS for this app which shows animal face animations. It won’t do animals.
And the people faces aren’t even close to the quality it shows on the ads- to the extent that I wonder if the app was even used to make the ad. It distorts the faces and the movements look blurry instead of the high quality shown in their ad.
It would get more stars if it wasn’t overpriced by a power of ten!

So this app just doesn’t work. It downloads, it opens, it plays teaser music. It seems all too eager to take my money. But when I try to demo the app, it spins and spins and spins and tells me every time that I have a bad Internet connection. Except that I don’t. I have blazing fast, super reliable wifi Internet. And I just checked again. I can do anything I want online, except this app.
What a waste of my time.

If you do not purchase the $39.00 annual membership the be prepared to be absolutely bombarded by millions of ads! It’s insane at the number of ads you get when making a video. It’s not only a pain the butt - it’s also stupid!

Warning - also the lips rarely match up correctly and therefore things look really off. However, you can create a couple videos that look good. It’s just the ads that pop up while making the video.

Okay, where should I start?

How about the fact that it doesn't work at all.

Half of the images which clearly have faces stop scanning and gives me an error.

When it does find a face, I select which faces I want to animate. And what do you know, it gives me an error.

If it actually worked, it would probably be a 5 star app, but it doesn't, so I have to give it 2 stars.

This app is an absolute piece of garbage and I would not recommend it to anyone.

I am very displeased, today, Wednesday, January 18, 2023. I was trying to make a inspirational video of my cat, (Dior). During this process I got like 7 ads and I had to wait 10 mins to check the results of the video. THIS APP THINKS MY CAT IS TO FAT IT. THOUGHT MY CATS STOMACH WAD ITS MOUTH I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED AND OFFENDED IN NY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. UPDATE: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Purchased the 36.99 lifetime subscription. At first there were quite a few songs to choose from, now there are only about 6 crappy “singing in the shower” songs. It tends to lock up also.

Was considering subscribing to the $36.99 lifetime subscription but can’t figure out if that’s the pro version that eliminates ads and watermarks. It also says that some in app purchases can be shared with family members but I’m not sure if the $36.99 deal is shareable.
