I wish I had read these reviews before going in for an oil change
I wish I had read these reviews before going in for an oil change. I went in for an oil change after buying another car last year. The sales guy came over and said he could get me a newer car with the same monthly payment as my current car. I should have been cautious. I specifically told him not to run my credit multiple times, but he assured me it wouldn't be necessary. I also said I didn't want to make a down payment since I didn't need a car, and he assured me it wasn't required. After looking at cars and not finding the color I wanted, the salesman said I could get a 2021 model instead of a 2020 model for just a $30 increase in my monthly payment and a $400 down payment. Silly me, I agreed.
When the finance guy, ***, came with the paperwork for me to sign, the interest rate was higher than what we agreed on, so I declined the offer. *** then came back with the corrected interest rate, and I signed. Then I went to sign the financing paperwork... I should have paid more attention. When I started reading the actual documents, *** told me not to worry and just sign because everything was on a jump drive shaped like a key. Every time I looked closely, he just pointed at the signature line and reminded me that everything was on the drive. When I got home, I felt uneasy because he rushed me through the signing process. I checked the jump drive, but it only had a video thanking me for my purchase, no documents.
The next day, I texted the sales guy to let him know I was dissatisfied with the process and that I didn't receive my documents to review. He said he would contact me on Monday and have the finance guy call me because, in his words, "those sales guys always make changes to the deal once we go in to sign." I never received that call, so I just let it go. I filled out a survey about the sales process and listed the issues I had. They told me to contact ***. I did, and he called me, but when I called him back, he never returned my call.
A few weeks later, I found out that my credit had been checked three times. I emailed *** to update him, but he didn't respond. After four weeks, I contacted the Gap to ask when I would receive my refund for the unused Gap. I found out that *** had been given my refund. To this day, I've spoken to five people on the phone and two via email about why my refund was given to ***. One person told me, "that's just how it goes," and another said, "it went back to Honda Finance, contact them." Both were clearly lies. I've given up on finding a resolution to this matter. I'm glad I learned my lesson quickly, and I will never give *** another cent. I thought they were a reputable company, but it turns out they operate like a shady used car lot. Lesson learned.
I wanted to warn people about *** Case, but it seems like their terrible reviews already do that
I wanted to warn people about *** Case, but it seems like their terrible reviews already do that. I should have checked before buying a vehicle for my wife and me from here.
On 12/22, we went to *** to trade in our leases and get new ones. *** told us that Rick Case would cover the remaining payments on both leases. We called Toyota Financial to find out how much was owed on my wife's lease. They said there were still X amount of months left. I don't remember the exact number because it was over a year ago. *** said it was actually 1 less than X because we should have paid that in the down payment. We thought the number of months would be the same for both leases, but it turns out he was wrong. But we'll get back to that. We got our new vehicles and left.
On 12/26, I noticed a big gash on one of the rims. When I got the vehicle on 12/2, *** said it was a show floor model and they had to remove stickers from the windows. I think they damaged the rim while doing that. In the picture I attached, you can see a round sticker that used to be below the gash but was peeled off. So I assume they damaged it, marked it, and then just removed the sticker when they leased it to me without saying anything. I contacted *** and he said he would handle it. As of today, 12/18, the gash is still there. I've tried several times to get *** to fix it, but no luck. As you'll see, any attempts to resolve customer issues are ignored.
On 01/25, my wife got her final statement from Toyota Financial. Surprise, surprise - one monthly payment was still due. *** said he would look into it and get back to me.
On 01/26, I asked for an update, but got no response.
On 02/04, I asked for an update again. He said he would call me in an hour. 5 hours later, I asked for another update and got no response.
On 02/11, I asked for an update. He asked for the info to contact Toyota Financial.
On 02/13, he said he tried to call them but they refused to speak to him. My wife called Toyota Financial and got the person's info that he needed to speak with. They were waiting for his call and we told him to conference call my wife if necessary. He said he would call as soon as possible.
On 02/15, I asked for an update. He claimed the same thing as last time, even though we told him exactly who to call and to conference call my wife if needed! Clearly, he wasn't calling at all. Toyota sent the bill to collections. I managed to get it removed from collections and paid the last payment. I considered it a loss and moved on.
On 06/04, I asked *** if he could set up an appointment for both of us to get oil changes. He said he would and let me know.
On 06/08 and the morning of 06/11, I asked for updates. Guess what? No response!
In the evening of 06/11, I got my final statement from Lexus Financial and one more monthly payment was still due! Since *** lacks customer service and common courtesy, I emailed the management of Rick Case for help. *** called me and I explained the situation. He said he would look into it and get back to me. Later that evening, *** called me and assured me he would handle the payment issue and the rim issue. I told him exactly how much we paid to Toyota and how much was still due to Lexus.
On 06/12, I asked for an update and he said he would let me know.
On 06/13, I asked for an update and he responded, "done deal."
On 06/28, 07/03, 07/06, and 12/09, I asked for updates but got no response.
On 12/16, I had already paid both Toyota and Lexus. But I decided to give them one more chance to make it right, so I emailed the management. *** called me shortly after that. Guess what he said? That he would look into it and get back to me. I never heard from him again.
They are the worst Honda dealership in South Florida. There are many other Honda dealerships to choose from. Stay away! They have horrible customer service, no follow-through, misleading sales tactics, no free car washes or oil changes, and poor management. The list goes on and on. STAY AWAY! Took my car to Rick Case Honda on 09/02/2022 for a planned oil change
Took my car to Rick Case Honda on 09/02/2022 for a planned oil change. But after they serviced it, my car wouldn't start right away. It had never had any problems before they worked on it. They seem to have completely drained the battery, and now they're refusing to accept any blame. I already paid them $70 for the oil change, and now they want me to shell out over $200 for a new battery.
I noticed some differences in the contract I signed when I leased a car from Rick Case Honda on 09/21
I noticed some differences in the contract I signed when I leased a car from Rick Case Honda on 09/21. I saw that my initials and signature were forged. They also altered my maintenance plan from 36 months/36k miles to 24 months/24k miles. The original contract I signed is the one in JPEG format, while the altered one is the
Had my vehicle repaired at Rick Case Honda with Geico's recommendation
Had my vehicle repaired at Rick Case Honda with Geico's recommendation. They were supposed to be a "preferred service provider," but it turned out to be a big mistake. The paint and clear coat on my Lexus are already peeling, and the service manager refused to guarantee the work because it has been a while. However, the OEM paint is still fine, and the only affected area is the one they worked on. Geico claims to offer a "lifetime guarantee" on the work, but it seems like that's not the case. Lesson learned: take your car to a better shop that uses OEM paint.

On January 27th, I bought a 2017 Honda CRV from Rick Case
On January 27th, I bought a 2017 Honda CRV from Rick Case. I paid a downpayment of $9000. I wanted to start making early payments, so I asked the Finance Manager, Mario, for information. He told me to wait for a payment book to be sent by mail. I waited, but I didn't receive the payment book. I had to go back to Rick Case Dealer two times to inform Mr. Mario about this. Each time, he told me to wait for the payment book to arrive by mail. On June 9th, XX XXXX, I thought my car was stolen, so I called the police. They informed me that it was repossessed. I never received a payment book or an account number to send my payments to. I asked the Manager, Mr. Ryley, and the Finance Manager, Mr. Mario, for help in finding my car. I desperately needed my walker chair, cane, $1000 cash, and other personal belongings. However, no one gave me any assistance. My friends had to help me. Rick Case Honda took $9000 for my car before sending me a payment book.
Horrible service!
Horrible service! What a horrible experience has this been, I went back in Sept of 2019 to trade in my 2020 Toyota Corolla. After being in the delar for about 10hours with two kids we finally got a deal. They took in my 2020 Toyota Corolla for a 2019 honda civic sport zero miles. A down payment was given that day. I left with my car trusting the sales person, finance associate (which claims to be the best) and everyone in this delar.. Fastfoward 5months later I get a call from Capital One Financial (they finance the 2020 corolla) Clamimg I am late on my payments and the car Toyota corolla is getting repo.. This was a surprise to me since i believe the *** case honda paid off the car (it was a trade-in).. They mention they didn't receive any checks, payments or communication from *** case about the Toyota..*** I have been extremely business and I am unable to go directly to the delaer so I call and all they do is give me a run around! I have left so many messages to so many people and no one has reach out to me.. So unprofessional form every aspect. Now my credit is ruined over a some people that I trusted... I will be getting a lawyer!
August 17, 2022 Rick Case Honda is a group of con artists and liars
August 17, 2022 Rick Case Honda is a group of con artists and liars. They do the bait and switch, which is the main reason for the negative complaints. They ripped me off, forged my name, and changed figures on my contract. They advertised a certified pre-owned 202 Honda Civic for $23,400, but when I went to the dealer, they said the certification and a dealer prep charge of $900 were standard in the industry. The attorney general's office said this was false advertising and a violation of the *** Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. They also changed the contract that I signed. I bought a warranty and scratched out the "AS IS" language on the contract. Later, when I reviewed it, I realized they had printed a new document without my scratched out portion. If you get screwed by these ripoff artists, file a complaint with the attorney *** the ComplaintsBoard.com and the *** doesn't care about resolving this matter. If you file a complaint under the *** deceptive and unfair trade practices act, you can collect your costs, damages, and attorney fees. The attorney fees don't come out of your claim. You get the full amount of your damages.
The finance manager at Rick Case Honda claimed he used credit from a refund owed to me for the down payment
The finance manager at Rick Case Honda claimed he used credit from a refund owed to me for the down payment. But he didn't tell me about it during the transaction, and he can't show me any documents to prove that what he did was legal. When I first asked him about the credit, he lied and said it wasn't owed to me. Then, when I asked again, he said I should've known. On the contract I have, it shows a down payment of around $2400, but the credit owed to me is only $1100. I only paid $150 at the time of the transaction, so the contract details were fake. In our last conversation, he said he would have to increase my car payments if he gave me the credit that I'm owed, which is not right. If I had known any of this, I wouldn't have traded in my car. They offered me a deal for a brand new 2022 Honda Accord, assuming that all I needed to pay was $150 for the transfer fees. He did ask for $600, but I told him I had just made a payment of $700 for my current car. The finance manager's name is ***. I traded in my 2020 Honda Civic for the 2022 Honda Accord. Originally, I wanted to trade for an older Accord to lower my payments, but I accepted the deal because they said I would have the same payments, a brand new 2022 car, and they would cover the $150 transfer fee. The deal happened on 12/11, and I picked up the car the week of Christmas because it wasn't available on-site yet. The credit was issued by Protective and sent to Rick Case Honda to be given to me.
My new Honda Civic keeps breaking down every month, and the service at **** Case Honda has been really unhelpful
My new Honda Civic keeps breaking down every month, and the service at *** Case Honda has been really unhelpful. They treat me poorly and I feel discriminated against. I bought my brand new Honda Civic 2019 in February , and ever since then, it has been having numerous issues. A few days after driving it, I noticed a strange sound coming from the right rear wheel spindle. I took the car back to *** Case Honda, but the service advisor told me that my new car couldn't possibly have that problem. However, after they checked, they realized that I was right. The dealer informed me that I would have to wait for someone from California to come and fix my car. My husband, who is a mechanic at another dealership, told them what was wrong, and finally, they understood and asked me to bring the car back another day for repairs. I took the car back to the dealer, and they fixed it. However, just two days later, when I turned either left or right, the clock spring made noise, and the Bluetooth stopped working. I returned to the same dealer, and they replaced the steering wheel but put it back incorrectly. The Bluetooth still didn't work. So, on 09/12 at 8:45 am, I brought my car back to the dealer, and they immediately took it in for repairs. After 30 minutes, the advisor told me that everything had been fixed. However, when I got inside my car, the Bluetooth was still not working. The advisor couldn't understand what was wrong, so I got into the car to explain. He told me that they couldn't fix it and suggested that maybe my cellphone was the problem. I explained to him that I had just gotten a new cellphone. Throughout my visits to the dealer, they continuously ignored my complaints. The advisor also told me to come back early on the following Saturday because they had more people who were Hispanic and could speak my language. I told him that I spoke both English and Spanish, so there was no reason for that comment. I asked to see a manager, and he told me to wait inside while he fetched the manager. When the manager came, I explained to him that I had been there multiple times, and he could check the computer to verify. I kept experiencing the same Bluetooth issue. The manager was very rude and insisted that it was impossible for the steering wheel to be installed incorrectly because they had good mechanics who were certified. The mechanic who fixed my car was standing right next to me, so I asked him to explain to the manager what he had just fixed. The mechanic confirmed that the steering wheel had been installed incorrectly. The manager then told me that he wouldn't prioritize my car over 10 others to get it fixed. He said they would need to bring someone from California to fix it, and I would have to leave my car and come back to pick it up when it was ready, which could take several days. Alternatively, he suggested coming back the following Saturday at 7 am to see what he could do for me. I explained to him that I have two daughters and would need to pay for childcare. Additionally, due to the virus, I couldn't bring my baby since one of my daughters suffers from asthma. He told me that was my only option. I can't leave my car at the dealer for many days since I need it for work. He also suggested that I call my family to pick me up because they would need to bring a technician from California. The names of the people who assisted me were four, but I only remember two names: Melvin, Malcolm, and the manager. Throughout my life, I have only owned Honda cars, and I have never had as many problems as I have with this new car. Honda is known for being a reliable brand, but this car has been nothing but trouble. It's not fair that I have to keep going to the dealer every month for repairs and receive such poor service.
