why roadloans
I am new to this complaints board And i've recently purchased a Toyota corolla.I do not have good credit and I mean my credit sucks.I was approved for a 26% apr and I put almost $10000 down.At first when a got a call from this girl named dela I was so excited that I was approved until I heard the apr.I was rude and hung up.Then I realized that no-one else could get me approved and I mean nobody my credit was ###.so I called back to get more information about it I purchased my vehicle from one of my local dealers in fl.The reason why I decided to join This board is because most of us here complaining do not have good credit and i repeat I didn't say all I said most.If you were able to be approved for a loan from capital one or wells fargo you would not be applying with them. I found it to be very interesting to learn how loan companies work and how applying for a loan determines what you will be approved for.Well I'm happy with my purchase!
auto refinance
On Aug. 15th 2011 I applied to refinance my 2007 Toyota Corolla. I decided since my credit score is almost perfect due to the fact that I never had a late payment on my present auto loan through Connex, and have never had a late payment on any bills at all in the past 10 yrs., that I would get it refinanced for a low percentage rate, my rate now is 7.25 but Roadloans made it appear that they have lower percentage rates based on my credit score. They never replyed so I chatted with someone and they said it was declined because I put the wrong Social Security number in which surprised me because I was careful filling out the information. They said to reapply so I did, this time they wanted my Vin #, who I am financed with now (Connex), my birthdate, social security # and more. It said I would have an answer in 30 seconds, which surprised me. I never got a response through my Email which they said that would be where they send the answer to refinancing. I never got any Emails at all so I called two times and they said the computer systems where down so I waited a few hrs, called back and they said they don't know yet. I called again and they said again they don't know but to look in my email, I have used all my cell phone minutes trying to get answers and much time consumed trying to get answers, I told them I looked them up on BBB and asked if they were fraudulant and they said they are the 4th biggest bank in the US. I still haven't heard anything and I am getting nervous about them. Please Reply to me by emailing me at [protected]@yahoo.com My phone number is [protected] in CT. When I applyed I thought they had local businesses in my area. I hope to hear from you. Debra Simmons The invoice # they gave my is: [protected]
I received a loan approval from Roadloans a week ago. Since then, I have contacted numerous "preferred dealers" as listed on my loan packet. Not one dealer wants to work with them, and some dealers have never heard of them! Right after I was approved, it was easy to speak with someone on the phone. Once I told them about the dealers, the only advise I received was "go to Carmax". Carmax is 170 miles away from me! Yikes! Stay away from Roadloans!
Big lie
I have already been approved for an auto loan but their ad makes you believe that they are here to help. They are now owned by Santandar which happens to hold 2 auto loans for me. I thought they might give me a better rate so I applied as a joint my wife and I. Surprise! Rejected, please go and reapply try doing it jointly! What a joke. Stay away from them at all cost. They are not worth the hits on your credit. They say they are here to help but they just want to make your life worse.

Roadloans pulled my credit report with no authorization from me
Roadloans pulled my credit report with no authorization from me. I did not apply for a loan or cosign for a loan, ANY type of loan. I called and spoke with a customer service rep. I explained the situation and when her search for an application was unsuccessful, she transferred me to her supervisor, who was also unable to locate an application. He suggested I contact their legal dept.
Over the next week, I placed several calls to their legal dept, with no return call. Finally, I called Roadloans back and spoke with another supervisor, who was also unable to locate an application. She said she would inquire about the delay and get back to me. I finally received a call from their legal dept. Once again, no application could be located. I asked if they could please send a letter to the credit bureau, requesting that the inquiry be removed. They flat-out refused, saying that with no application on file, they had no authorization to access my report, and they cannot send out a form letter without an application. Coming from their legal dept, I was appalled at that answer. If you can’t send out a form letter in this situation, then under what circumstances do you send a form letter? I asked this exact question and all they said was that they couldn’t help unless there was an application on file. I then placed a call to the credit bureau and I spoke with a supervisor, who informed me that without a letter from the creditor, this inquiry cannot be removed. I have since left several messages for Roadloans' legal dept, but no one is returning my call.
I’ve done some research on this company and I’ve found many, many complaints, 3 of which are from the Better Business Bureau, that are similar in nature to mine, in terms of their questionable acts, horrible customer service and basic unwillingness to right their wrongs. Terms such as fraudulent, deceptive and bogus company were used to describe them. I don’t know how Roadloans got my information, but they clearly pulled my credit report in error, or perhaps illegally, but either way, it’s their responsibility to make it right. And it appears that they have no intentions of doing so.

unauthorized reposession
I purchased a used Infinity G35 through Ebay. Checking their Monthly payment option put me in touch with Road Loans. All well, payments made on time when loan was sold to Drive financial, and I was never informed. I continued to make payments to Road Loans. Woke up to find car missing--told car was repo'd by Drive after filing a police report for a stolen car. NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO GET CAR BACK AS IT WAS WHOLESALED FOR ABOUT HALF OF THE THEN KELLEY BLUE BOOK VALUE FOR DEALER TRADE. I am now "stuck" for the difference (the loan amount minus the unfair wholesale price). Where did my payments go? Who knows--Drive didn't get them and Road Loans said they forwarded the amount. I have confirmation of the payment being received by Road Loans.AN ATTORNEY WILL COST TO SUE WITHOUT ANY GUARANTEE. IF YOU HEAR THE WORDS DRIVE FINANCIAL OR ROAD LOANS, RUN AWAY

this very confusing. the other company Centrix was bought out by this company and now this company is closed too. what do we do about paying our payments on our loans. i have a car loan with them and if i dont get some information on who i need to pay i'm scared i will lose my car.
Misleading Advertizing
They advertise they fiance aybody but when you apply unless you have thousands of dollars in cash to put on a vehicle for a down payment they immediately decline your loan. False advertising is a crime. Switch and Bait is a crime. They need to be prosecuted immediately.

Yeah, they say I'm pre-approved and then when i click on a few more buttons, they say "Sorry, you have been declined, try to sign up with a co-signer"
Why say I am approved after the initial theft of my social security number only to decline me after choosing a type of car that's well within my budget?
Scam.
Accessed credit report with no authorization
Roadloans made an inquiry into my credit report, and since I hadn't applied for a loan or co-signed for a loan, ANY type of loan, I was understandably upset. Neither the customer service rep nor her supervisor were able to locate an application. The supervisor suggested I contact their legal dept.
Over the next week, I placed several calls to their legal dept, with no return call. I called Roadloans back and spoke with another supervisor. She was also unable to locate an application and said she would inquire about the delay in getting back to me. I received a call from their legal dept within 10 minutes. Once again, no application could be located. The rep was as confused as I was. I asked her if she could please send a letter to Transunion, requesting that the inquiry be removed. She flat out refused because she said that if there was no application on file, then they had no authorization to access my report, and they cannot send out a form letter without an application. Coming from their legal dept, I was appalled at that answer. If you can’t send out a form letter in this situation, then under what circumstances do you send a form letter? I asked her this exact question and all she would tell me was that she couldn’t help unless there was an application on file. I then spoke with a supervisor at Transunion, who informed me that without a letter from the creditor, this inquiry cannot be removed. I have since left several messages for this rep, in addition to leaving messages on their legal dept’s general voicemail, but no one is returning my call.
I’ve done some research on this company and I’ve found many, many complaints that are similar in nature to mine, in terms of their questionable acts, horrible customer service and basic unwillingness to right their wrongs. I don’t know how Roadloans got my information, but they clearly pulled my credit report in error, or perhaps illegally, but either way, it’s their responsibility to make it right. And as far as I can tell, they have no intentions of doing so.

Don't deal with them
Stay away from Road Loans and Triad Financial. They are a rip off company, they will steal your money, go somewhere else. after receiving my check in the mail, finding the car, paying out off pocket for insurance and doing all the paperwork with the dealer, I was told to reapply because I had not put my second job on the application. Later on, I found out this is a rip-off company with thousand of complains, and a lot of angry customers. They will also collect interest on interest first and your principal balance will be inflated and scratched further and you will pay double or even more of what is on sticker price!
Stay away from road loans. If they steal money from you, sue them also. They deserve this!

Did not want to help me, bad treatment
I called Roadloans to setup a deferment of my June payment. I had a work related jury and could not make a payment until I had a doctor’s release to return to work. I never missed a payment. I was given the run around.
The attitude of their customer service is the worse I have ever heard. They are negative and treated me if the company was doing me a favour. If it was not for me being a customer who pay my bills Roadloands wouldn't last.
I have never been late or missed a payment. This is just part of my troubles with Roanloans even after I made my July 7th payment they took two payments from my account and told me it was my problem after my bank bounded other checks and bills couldn't be paid.
I feel this is one of the worse companies I have done business with. I will never do business with Roadloans again. I suggest everyone, stay away! Trouble, Trouble, Trouble!

This company is the worst. I was laid off in May and asked that my June payment be deffered and if it was possible to work out a temporary solution till I was able to find another job. I offered to pay the amount of the loan plus half the interest and they told me no and didn't defer my payment.
My car is now on the repo list...again never late! This is the worst company I have ever, ever dealt with.
Would not recommend them to anyone for ANY reason!
Takes advantage of vulnerable consumers!
Roadloans is a vulture..taking advantage of those who must have a car to live but for reasons beyond their control can't use a traditional lender. They repo'd my car with no warning... saying I was 3 months behind. Before I could get all of the paperwork together and copies from my bank they had sold it at auction. Then I finally found out that they had posted one of my payments to my finance's account (we had a joint bank account). When we tried to set it straight they refused. They sent him a letter saying he had overpaid and his next payment would only be $31.00. He called to confirm and they said yes. THEN they took out the full amount, and when it bounced (we had spent the money elsewhere) they charged us late fees and bank fees. THEN they turned around and took MY payment off of his account (without telling us) and post it to my "delinquent" account, and then told him that he had to pay prorated late fees and interest because now he was behind. Of course they didn't contact us, we had to wait to find it on the statement. They suck! Plain and simple they are by far the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I can't believe how they have taken advantage of us and refused to make things right. They are rude, condescending, unfair, crooks, and I hope they go bankrupt and have to pay US... all of us... back for the distress they have caused us.
Fraud and cheating!
I had the same problem but with Roadloans. I refinanced with HSBC and paid off the loan. First - Roadloans would not acknowledge payment and kept trying to charge me late fees etc. HSBC had to get my permission and speak for me, send copies of the cleared check etc. Then the title was 'lost' in the mail (read... never sent). So I moved to Kansas but the car is titled in Nevada. I need a lien release to get a new title from Nevada transfered to Kansas. The first lien release they sent was missing a number in the VIN. Nevada can't accept it. The second lien release said 'Triad Financial' instead of Roadloans - so Nevada DMV can't accept it.
It has been over a year. I can't register my car. I have faxed and mailed and called requesting an ACCURATE lien release so I can move on with my life. But they are either mean, cruel or just incompetent. You know - I would have used them to buy my next car. Not any more. Why? How does it benefit them to hold me hostage? They would have had a repeat customer in me. Now they have a bitter person with a big mouth.
At this point, I will have to file suit to prove payment and have the lien stripped.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They say you are approved for a loan, then they tell you you need to trade your existing car even though that is not your plan. But that is the only way to get the loan! Then the only car you can buy is 2017 or higher and you only get $13, 000.00 who can find a 2017 car for $13, 000.00 seriously!
So far its been great. I've not had my car but a month. Trying to get a hold of someone to send payment. I thought I would got an email not yet. I hope it continues to be a good experience
i have been making regular payments for about 1 year now, and it seems
like my pay-off balance went up
i have been making regular payments for about 3 years, and it seems like my pay-off balance went up
messed up my auto loan big time
Now I am stuck with out a car. not cool
So far they are have been great to me also.
3 days late? What total Bull [censored] Anyone who believes that is a bigger [censor] than you
First off, let me say...I've had my share of bad experiences with auto finance companies. I've had a car repo'd because I was 3 days late on a payment. Ya, 3 days. Anyway, that being said, I current have a car financed with Roadloans or Santander, whichever they call themselves today. For the first time, I'm actually having a good experience with a car loan.
Between the repo and a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, I pretty much figured my credit was shot. I applied for a loan online at Roadloans.com and got approved instantly. They gave me a better rate than I had before the bankruptcy, which shocked me. Of course, I took it. I've had the loan with them for almost 3 years and they have really helped me out during hard times with changing my due date and even giving me an extension once, by putting a payment at the end of the loan. I think a lot of that came from me paying on time almost every month.
Anyway, the service has been great and I would finance with them again. Heck, I've had cars with Capital One, Wells Fargo, and Americredit and they were all bad experiences. Some were my fault for paying late, but others were due to rude customer service reps and high interest rates. If you're like me, I suggest giving Roadloans a try. I think you'll find that every company has problems, but Roadloans is by far one of the best lenders out there.
Triad was a spin-off from Ford Motor Credit. Ford did not want the bad publicity for their subprime loans so they created Triad.
Triad starting marketing loans via a website calle www.roadloans.com .
Fast forward to 2010, Triad/Roadlaons was purchased by Santander Financial. Santander does finaning for a dealer chain called Drive (formerly Ugly Duckling).
Santander also does a great amount of business with Carmax. You might find a good or decent deal on a car at Carmax, but resist the urge to finance with Santander. We purchased a pre-owned car from Car Max in March and we already had financing via our local credit union. Carmax tried to get us to go with their financing. As soon as they they Santander, I said "you mean those liars and crooks at Triad"?
I had a vehicle financed through them. Yes, I fell behind a few times, but even before I fell behind, the games and tricks started. They changed the due date from the 23rd to the first. This immediately caused another payment to be due. When I asked them to change it back, they asled for yet another payment (basically 3 payments in 1 month).
Honestly, if they are your only resort, you are better off walking or catching the bus.
Wally Belo from Road Loans called me on yesterday saying I was approved for a Car
$15, 000.00 with 0 down sent me to a dealer, I went in, they said I had only been
approved for $10, 000 with $3, 000 down, tried to get the guy back he would not
answer his cell phone, I don't know what is going on. The dealer told me my Application
expired on the 7th of September and reapply. I said thanks for you site telling me these
people are crooks. Also I have a 2000 Mitsubushi Galant with sunroof and all the options
the tried to give me a Dodge Stratus or Ford Tarus saying that is all they had, that I qualified for, I told them my Galant was better than that even with the high mileage.
Thanks
