Roaman's Review: Unprofessional and Rude Agents, Would Not Recommend
So, I had an experience with Roaman's in April of 2021. I called them up to negotiate a payoff of my account, which was $275.00. I asked for an email or text receipt saying the account was paid off, but the agent told me that my next statement would show a zero balance. However, when the statement came, it didn't show a zero balance. I was confused and called them immediately to explain what had transpired the month before. I told them that the account should have a zero balance, but the agent could find no notes on my conversation the previous month and asked for a payment. I was frustrated because I had paid it in full.
Since then, I have spoken to them on the phone, written to them repeatedly, and emailed them. They keep calling me, which is fine, but it's getting annoying. Today was the final straw. I received a call from another agent who seemed to be helpful while I explained what happened. Then we started to talk about what he said was still owed and what he could eliminate from the balance. Turns out I would owe another $111.00. I politely told him that I paid it off back in April and all the charges and interest on those charges plus anything else they added to the account since then I was not paying.
This was when he called me ignorant. I was taken aback and told him he was very rude. Their agents are not trained properly or maybe they are. Anyway, I will never deal with them again. Oh, now they are threatening me with collections. I love it.

I was on hold for 20 minutes the first time I called, and 29 minutes the second time, but no one ever picked up. I doubt if anyone is managing the phones. I tried ordering through Jessica, but the website wasn't secure when I tried to place the order. The next thing I noticed was that the order was switched over to Roaman's, which I hadn't shopped with in a year due to slow processing. I placed the order anyway, and that's why I'm here now. However, I will never place an order with any company affiliated with Roaman's in the future, no matter what they're offering.
Today, 5/2/21, the order just read "processed." Roaman's e-mailed me with a tracking number, but when I contacted USPS with the tracking number, it stated that the label was secured but no package was received for shipping. The label was generated on 4/28/21. So, until I receive the package, it's still up in the air.
Update: I finally received the package today, 5/6/21. However, Michael at Roaman's had the nerve to send me an e-mail telling me I couldn't use foul language with Roaman's employees. I hadn't talked or interacted with anyone in weeks, so I don't know who he was referring to. I informed him that I had informed Roaman's that I was going to e-mail them daily until I received a response, and it worked. Who was he to tell me what I could or couldn't do in responding to a company that the customer was unable to reach? I will never order from them again.

I bought some shoes from Roaman's on 11/29/18. I ordered a size 8, which is my usual size, but unfortunately they didn't fit. I wasn't too worried though, because I knew they had a "Free Returns and Exchanges" policy. But boy was I wrong!
I returned the shoes straight away, hoping to exchange them for a different size. It was early December when I sent them back, but I didn't hear anything for weeks. In fact, it wasn't until 3/19/19 - FOURTEEN WEEKS later - that I received my original order back in the mail. Can you believe it?
To make matters worse, there was a note included that said "Return Old/Damaged Merch. To Customer". But I never wore the shoes! I tried them on, but they were way too tight, so I put them back in the original packaging and sent them off within a couple of days.
I'm not the only one who's had issues with Roaman's. Other customers have complained about their poor service and lack of satisfaction. I've returned things to them twice before and never heard anything back. But this time, I made sure to write "EXCHANGE" in huge letters all over the package. I made an order on roamans.com on May 3rd. I knew that due to the pandemic, things might take longer than usual, so I expected my standard shipping to take 7-10 days instead of the usual 5-7 days. However, I never received any emails regarding my order status or any issues with it. I had to log in to the website to check my order history.
To my surprise, only one of my products had a status of shipped, and the other was backordered. I prefer not to order items that are backordered because you never know when they will be available.
The tracking information for the shipped item has been extending every day with its pending delivery. The item had an original estimated delivery date of May 12th, and the website that provides tracking information said that the information would update when the package was received for shipping.
Now, the tracking on the Roamans.com website says that the package has not been received for shipping, and the estimated delivery date is May 21st! Is my package just sitting in their warehouse waiting to be picked up? I don't know because I can't get a response from their customer service team.
This week, the company charged me again for the second item. When I logged in, I saw that the status of that item had changed from backordered to processed, which was the status when I first placed the order on May 3rd.
Today, I logged in to the website and saw that online chat was available. I clicked the chat link and entered my information. About a minute later, the chat became unavailable.
I just want to know what's going on with my order. I feel like my money has been stolen, and I'm not getting any response from their customer service. I paid for shipping on goods that don't even look like they've been shipped and may not ever ship at this point. With tracking information provided, I feel like I've been defrauded and am close to filing a dispute for the charges with my bank.

Roamans is a store that I recently had a bad experience with. They had a sale where you could get three items for only $30. False Advertising: Roman's Catalog Promised Free Gift with Purchase, But Didn't Deliver
I ain't never gonna shop at Roman's no more! I saw an ad in the catalog that said if I spent $25, I'd get a roller-bag for free. So, I ordered a loungewear set that was on sale for $19.99 and a pair of slippers that were on sale for $9.99. My order was over $25, so I put in the promo code for the roller-bag and it went through on the online order form. But when I got my order today, there was no roller-bag! I called Roman's to ask about it and the customer service lady told me that loungewear and sale items weren't eligible for the roller-bag. I didn't see anything about that in the catalog or on the website, so I asked if there was anything she could do. She talked to her boss twice, but the boss said no. I only ordered from Roman's because of the free roller-bag, and if I knew I couldn't get it with the stuff I ordered, I wouldn't have ordered it at all. I'm never shopping at Roman's again!

I ain't no plus size gal, but I do like my tops to be on the larger side. That's why I was stoked to find Roaman's. They got a ton of tunics and tops that fit my style. I got put on their mailing list and started getting catalogs in the mail. Then I found out they got a website too, so I started ordering from there.
I gotta say, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the stuff I got. I snagged some sweet deals on sale items. The clothes I got were okay, but they weren't exactly what I'd call high quality. One top was made pretty well and has held up after a bunch of washes. But the rest of the stuff was kinda cheap. Roaman's Misled Me: Happy Returns Not Fully Functional
I recently made a purchase on Roaman's website, spending a total of $140 on various items. Unfortunately, when the merchandise arrived, nothing fit me properly. I decided to return the items and went online to generate a return. Roaman's issued a QR code for me to bring to a "Happy Returns" location, which I have used before with other companies like Amazon.
However, when I brought the items to the Happy Returns location and they scanned them in, I did not receive the usual text message from Roaman's confirming that the items were being sent back. I thought maybe the system was slow, but it has now been two weeks and I have not received my credit. When I called Roaman's to inquire about the delay, I spoke to three different people who all confirmed that Happy Returns was not fully functional for them until last week.
I was shocked to hear this, as Roaman's had pushed me to return the merchandise through an avenue that they weren't fully up and running with. Now they are telling me that there is nothing they can do about it, and that they have 60 days to process a return once the merchandise is returned. However, they have no record that I sent back the merchandise, so chances are there will be no record when the items come back.
I am extremely frustrated and angry that Roaman's is telling me that I am out $120 and that it is not their fault that I went to Happy Returns. I feel like I have been misled and that Roaman's should take responsibility for their mistake. I hope that they can resolve this issue and provide me with the credit that I am owed.
