I wouldn't have believed if I didn't experience it with my own eyes
I wouldn't have believed if I didn't experience it with my own eyes. I have been fighting my cable/wireless/phone company for years, and it proved impossible no matter how many ways I went about it to get my bill lowered and service modified. Within a matter of weeks, Truebill got my bill reduced by $66.45 per month for a savings of $797.40 over the next year. Their demeanor was warm, supportive, and the results speak for themselves. I don't know whether to be stunned or simply grateful. Truebill is a true advocate for the consumer - I applaud their mission, and the professionalism with which they carry it out. They made a true believer out of me - a grateful one at that. Andrew S, New York, NY
Truebill tried their best to assist me with a bill reduction with Spectrum Cable
Truebill tried their best to assist me with a bill reduction with Spectrum Cable. I give them 5 stars because they continued to help and be at the customers (my) side through the whole process. Spectrum was incredibly beyond negligent, incompetent, and difficult in the process, but Charlotte my rep went above and beyond and continued to help me through the bill reduction for weeks. Truebill really did what they sought out to accomplish, but Spectrum made the process near impossible. I appreciated Charlotte beyond words. She was amazing. I also appreciate Truebills analysis of my bills and reminders of upcoming, it's super helpful to stay on track and a good reminder when I'm being excessive with my spending.
Great customer service and willingness to work with me on an issue I had with billing.
I have always been extremely suspecting of newer apps if an apps but I took a chance on Truebill. The other day, I considered cancelling my SiriusXM subscription, I was able to lower it once speaking with a representative and the very next day I was actually surprised to receive an email from Truebill considering I do not have the premium version of Truebill, but one of the representatives offered to negotiate a lower rate on my behalf. I don't know many services that reach out to you personally to do you a service that one you don't pay for nor requested. That to me is the epitome of quality customer service. Thank you Truebill, definitely going to stick with you guys for that experience alone and implore anyone else who needs assistance financially budgeting to utilize the services of Truebill as well.
Thank you for the service you provided you were very helpful
I signed up for Truebill and have had the subscription for 3 months now
I signed up for Truebill and have had the subscription for 3 months now. I have used more expensive solutions like mint, quicken in the past. Truebill was easier to setup, and the information presented is very easy to consume/digest. It does a great job in helping subscribers understand cash flow and take actions to manage it. It comes at a very nominal price point as well. I tried to use their negotiation feature, and ended up negotiating with vendor myself before they could. They charged me for it, when I raised my concern with their support, they were quick to respond and fairly refunded the charge. This has greatly increased my confidence in this company. I am a happy subscriber and plan to continue to be one...
failed to find my subscriptions, even the ones I knew about and wasn't planning on canceling, yes it was free for the first 7 days of the service, but after that they ask you to pay a minimum of 5 dollars monthly for their services. all around disappointed in the services and advertising wasn't 100% transparent because it failed to mention that it isn't "always free" but its only free for the first 7 days.
They lowered my bill. And paid attention to any issue I have had. Quickly resolving all problems and continuing great service. Thank you to Tom and Brittany for being so prompt to getting back to me.
Amazing services! I had an issue with my account and thankfully the nice people at Truebill issued me a refund. I am thankful for their amazing customer service!
The folks at Truebill live up to their promise to help you clean up forgotten accounts and negotiate rates and contracts of accounts you wish to
The folks at Truebill live up to their promise to help you clean up forgotten accounts and negotiate rates and contracts of accounts you wish to maintain. They helped me save over $165.00 annually on just one of my utilities - and not just for one year, but over a three year period. The staff are professional, kind, helpful and explain all of the details for the work they are doing and have done for you. You even get to set the rate you pay them for the work they do and set up a payment schedule if you want to spread it out over any period of time. It really is up to you. They won't do anything until the present the material to you for you to make a decision, and then they re[resent you ALL THE WAY. Definitely use these folks!
Amazing! Truebill is your personal financial Guru! True bill takes the stress out of managing money. I had no idea how many subscriptions I really had, until they showed them all to me, even assisting in canceling subscriptions, negotiating with cable , satellite services for better rates. I highly recommend Truebill!
I paid the $9.00 monthly fee so that they could get me a reduction on my SiriusXM subscription. $204.00/year -"savings" off of old subscription - $96.00/year (membership fee $9.00 a month x 12) - $102.00 (negotiation fee) --------------------------------------------- =$6.00 (in the RED) $6 out of pocket for something that's supposed to save me money Scam
Truebill is amazing and their customer service is even better. I had to contact CS with a situation I had. I was routed to the right department to handle it for me. Brittney explained a process that I misunderstood with much kindness. I proposed a solution and Brittney gave me a better one! I was extremely pleased with how this was managed for me! Thank you Truebill I will be back. Please tell Brittney thank you from me!
Fantastic Service! They were able to save over $300 on my Spectrum bill! It was fast quick and easy! Thanks Truebill!
I have been using Truebill for several months now
I have been using Truebill for several months now. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous about putting in my account numbers. However, after using them a few weeks, I did. Truebill has helped me stay on top of my bills and budget. I also started using Smart Savings because I have a terrible time saving money on my own. I now have enough money saved to buy Christmas without going in the hole this year or depending on credit cards! I also started using the lower my bills function. The first bill saved me about $70. The last bill the just negotiated for me lowered my xfinity bill $350 for the year. Even with the small percentage fee for this service that can be broke into several monthly fees, it was a huge savings for us! I have been recommending Truebill to all of my friends and family.

I really like this app and recommended it to my 30-something year old children to use as well
I really like this app and recommended it to my 30-something year old children to use as well. To be honest, I was just going to try it for 30 days and then cancel, but when I saw how they found and canceled an unused subscription, and negotiated down 2 bills on my behalf within the first 2 months, I decided to stay on with them. I actually also enjoy getting periodic updates on my balances, purchases, refunds and monthly stats. It's like having a second eye on my accounts, which keeps me on top of things. I've had good luck with communications and customer service, and found them to be very responsive when I had a problem: I was charged 5% more than our negotiated agreement on one of my invoices, but when I questioned it they immediately corrected the mistake and apologized. It felt like there was a real person overseeing my accounts rather than an impersonal algorithm.
I should have come here before signing up, haha
I should have come here before signing up, haha. This company is ridiculous. I was curious about how exactly they help to reduce bills so I decided to test it out with my internet bill. At first, I received an email confirming I was on the lowest plan available but that within one day, a possible opportunity for savings existed. The following day, I get an email saying the negotiation saved me $300 over the next year. That I was on a promotional plan that ended [FALSE - these heifers had the impudence to attempt to cancel my promotional plan which was valid for another 6 months]; and that my bill increased to $100 but they got it down to $80. Not here, my current plan was $70, so they basically canceled a plan I negotiated myself -- which increased my bill to over $100 and they "negotiated" it down to $80 so they would charge me 40% on saving $300. I have never seen any such thing in my life before. Basically thieves.
I complete offers on Inbox Dollars to try out services and products
I complete offers on Inbox Dollars to try out services and products. Truebill is an awful service! If I could give this review 0 stars, I certainly would. There's no real way to get in touch with customer service, other than email or a chat bot. It's ridiculous. You're asked to link all of your accounts and they say they do some scan to see if you're paying for unwanted subscriptions. Thankfully, since I was just trying it out I did not do this. I simply attached an account that is not my main bank account with a low balance (below $40). I searched for the "delete my account" button on the site and discovered there is no such feature. They seem to have a lot of surprise fees and policies to keep people locked into their service. I read on the cancel subscription page that people with Premium accounts cannot cancel their accounts or something to that effect, which when you're signing up is not something that is even mentioned. So it's very suspect and scammy. After about 5 days in, I decided Truebill does not live up to it's name.

I would highly recommend Truebill to help organize your financial picture, eliminate wasteful spending and get you to save
I would highly recommend Truebill to help organize your financial picture, eliminate wasteful spending and get you to save. Truebill helped me identify several recurring subscriptions that I didn't even remember I had. They also were able to cancel most of them or provide the right phone number for me to cancel, thus saving hundreds of dollars. They also helped in negotiating savings with several of our vendors including our massive cable bill. After they negotiated a savings and we split the savings with Truebill (which I think is only fair), my husband and I decided to go to a streaming service for our TV viewing. I asked Truebill if they would consider refunding their half of the fee since we canceled right after it was negotiated. Their response was refreshingly quick and they said "yes"! I am grateful to them for accommodating this change and very impressed with their customer-focused business practices - so unlike many others. Truebill is helping our family save money. I have recommended Truebill to everyone who will listen :)
I signed up for TrueBill in December and agreed to pay $3 per month for the service
I signed up for TrueBill in December and agreed to pay $3 per month for the service. I connected a bunch of my accounts (bank, credit card) and all over within Truebill it says "click here and we'll help reduce your subscription cost at T-Mobile, etc" so I clicked it thinking that that was PART of the service that I just subscribed to $3 per month. But then I get a credit card charge of $163 from TrueBill because they lowered my Wall Street Journal subscription meaning that apparently TrueBill gets to POCKET 50% of my savings on the WSJ subscription for the next year. HAD I KNOWN THAT WAS THE CASE THEN OBVIOUSLY I WOULD NOT HAVE CLICKED ON THAT! That is absolutely insane! In what world would pay TrueBill upfront for my next YEAR of WSJ... when I plan on now CANCELLING my WSJ subscription. I AM SO MAD. Here is how the math worked out. - I was paying $39 per month for the WSJ (for only 1 month) -TrueBill said "Click here, we can cut this bill in half!" - I'm like great, since this is included then I'd love to get my bill to ~$20/month instead and keep my subscription for another month or two. - TRUEBILL CHARGES ME $163 (!) saying that THEY get to pocket this money because it is 50% of the "savings" they got me on the WSJ - IF I had stuck with the WSJ for a whole entire additional year. WHICH I DO NOT PLAN ON DOING! - I am CANCELLING my WSJ monthly subscription because it's too damn expensive to have for too long, even at 50% off. But NO WHERE did TrueBill clearly state that I owe them 50% of the next 12 months savings!?!?!?!?!?!? - SO NOW I'm left with ZERO access nor subscription to the WSJ ... ANDDDD I'm out $163 to TRUEBILL a scammy website! EWWWW I'm mortified. I've never filed a complaint with the Complaintsboard.com and I've NEVER had such a terrible experience of literal SHOCK that a random company has charged such an insane amount and assumed profits for the next 12 months of a MONTHLY subscription. Like I would totally understand if I had an ANNUAL subscription with the WSJ that was like $500 and TrueBill got it to $250 and took 50% of that savings. Whatever. I'd be mad they weren't more upfront about taking 50% but it's not the end of the world because I committed to a year-long WSJ subscription. THE DIFFERENCE IS.. I chose the MONTHLY WSJ subscription specificially because I did NOT want to commit to anything more than a few months given the expensive price. So now I have no WSJ subscription and TrueBill took $163 from me without me even knowing or agreeing to it. SO SHADY and I will be telling all of my family and friends to avoid Truebill like the PLAGUE unless they refund me that $163. This is INSANE. I wish there was a ZERO stars option.

I submitted for Truebill to lower my *** bill in May
I submitted for Truebill to lower my *** bill in May . They could not do so at the time and I was notified as such and believed it was left at that. On June 12, I received an email stating my *** bill had gone up by $7 and asked if I would like them to negotiate. I did not click on this option which can be verified through IT. On Oct 29, Truebill notified me that they negotiated with *** to lower my bill from $60 to $60 stating that my contract was set to expire and they renewed it for me, saving $240 considering that my bill was set to increase to $80. I verified with *** that this is not true and my promotion was set to auto renew and keep my plan the same. They charged me $72 for this negotiation. I contacted the negotiation team and they state they sent me multiple notifications that this would happen but they did not. I sent proof of all emails received, opened and unopened status. Again, verified with an IT analyst. I gave a one time permission in May and not for any further negotiations. I was never notified and my *** was in fact, not set to increase with ***. Truebill still expects $72 payment for a non-existent savings that was never approved. This is an absolute scam. Delete my account.

05/05/2022 I received a receipt email claiming that Truebill negotiated my service price down and I authorize negotiations. Problem is that I didn't ask for this service agaiin and they charged a fee without approval. Beyond that, they claimed to have emailed me to let me know they were negotiating on my behalf, but when I looked through my email thoroughly, I found nothing. The customer service sends standard screen shots from their cell phone. When I tried complaint to the company to rectify this, the response waa we did this and you charged a fee. . My credit card was charged and a refund was refused. Awful customer service for a service not provided. This is my first, and hopefully only time ever filing a Complaintsboard.com complaint, but the handling of this situation is outrageously poor.*** was a joke to deal with. No proof could be sent. Asked multiple times. Never submitted proof.
April 2022 took money from me and I wrote 5 emails about canceling services. Canceled eebit card because of fraud by Truebill. Now the company is trying again to collect money for negotiations done "on my behalf ' WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. There is now an invoice being emailed to me. 8 emails total exist showing my attempts to get this company to cease and desist.
I hired Truebill to "expertly negotiate" to lower my *** cable bill under the condition that no change be made to my service. A few days later, I received an email stating that they were successful and made no changes to my service. I was billed 50% of the savings as a "negotiation fee" and I opted to make payments. Upon checking with Spectrum, not only did Truebill irrevocably change my service as the package I had is no longer offered but they went silent on me once I contacted them electronically and explained the problem. Just another fraud. Caveat Emptor.
I recently participated in the Truebill service and initiated the bill reduction negotiation process
I recently participated in the Truebill service and initiated the bill reduction negotiation process. It requires that I, the account holder, provide the necessary information so they can identify the account details and begin negotiating. This part was clear and straight forward.Several days later I received a call from one of my service providers claiming someone attempted to fraudulently access my account. After some additional information was gathered from my service provider I learned that a representative of Truebill had called them and was impersonation me.Not negotiating on my behalf, but actually telling the service provider that they were me. Truebill mislead me by not being transparent about their negotiation tactics and continues to deflect and deny they did this after I contacted them about it.This is a massive breech of trust, misleading, and possibly illegal. At no point whatsoever do they imply, ask for permission, or state that this is a common practice. In doing my own research I can see that many other users have had similar experiences further validating my experience as NOT being an isolated one. This practice needs to STOP immediately and Truebill needs to own up to it's own practices which up until now have refused.I am exceedingly motivated to seek legal counsel and explore the viability of a class action suit.

On Saturday, March 6, I found an app called Truebill and thought I'll check it out
On Saturday, March 6, I found an app called Truebill and thought I'll check it out. On Monday, March 8, Truebill accessed my *** account and changed my internet service contract. This resulted in my monthly charges increasing instead of reducing as advertised. I received emails from *** for the account changes on Tuesday, March 9. I decided to contact *** to figure out what they were referring to. Since I wasn't sure what happened because Truebill never addressed the matter with me. Instead, they did whatever they wanted without my final consent. Truebill claims to have reduced my internet bill, instead, they increased my monthly plan charges to $129.74 / mo, added phone and tv services that I don't want nor am interested in. I canceled their request and negotiated an actually better rate directly with *** and went from $80 / mo to $75 / mo. I then try deleting my personal data from Truebill's system, but I wasn't allowed to. I then requested the deletion of my information from the Truebill system, but they refused to do so. Now they are stating I have to pay them for my data to be erased. Their business practices are unacceptable and unethical, to say the least. Today Wednesday, March 10, I'm seeking a resolution in an alternate route to get this matter resolved and for these bad business practices to cease.

I started a trial service with Trubill
I started a trial service with Trubill. I went into the app and cancelled my subscription and they made it seem I was on the free service. I cancelled because the two bills I asked help on they were able to not help with either, so I cancelled on the 6th day of my trial. I placed a larger some of money in my bank account, and as soon as I did they charged me $48.00. I have since then tried to locate a phone number for them and every number online does not go through to them. I have sent an email, which I'm waiting to hear back from and started to do my own investigating. Seeing all the bad reviews u want to nip this in the bud before any more charges come through. I can not afford u expected charges do to losing my fiance, which is why I tried the service to begin with. I am in a very tight money situation and can not afford unexpected charges from a company that was not able to do what they said and I vancelled my trial, and now that I put funds in my account they git me with a charge. I am reaching out in hopes that you can assist me and help others as to jot get in this situation. This company does not do what they say and will charge for doing nothing even after you cancel their service. I recommend not using Trubill to help you save on bills. They will let you know they can not and still charge you for ?. I have no idea what this charge is for actually. They could not help me, I cancelled the service. Then week to two weeks later I'm charged $48.00.Thank you for letting others know not to use this service and end up where I am now.

November 26, I took Truebill's advice about being able to lower my internet provider's monthly bill
November 26, I took Truebill's advice about being able to lower my internet provider's monthly bill. We were paying $90/mo with the second highest level of service, but I wanted to see if Truebill could really lower our bill.I agreed to pay 30% of whatever Truebill could save us, and on November 30, Truebill stated they saved us over $300/year by reducing our bill from $90/mo to $80/mo. Truebill notified they'd be charging me $98 for "saving" over $300/year.Except $90/mo --> $80/mo is not over $300/year in savings, it's $120/year.When I pointed this out to Truebill, they first tried to lie and say our bills were not $90/mo, so I showed them 3 months of us paying our internet provider $90/mo.Then Truebill admitted they increased our service to a higher tier (which is NOT a service our provider offers in our city), thereby "justifying" their high charges. I told them I NEVER AGREED to the higher tier service, and even with the higher tier, they still were not reducing my costs by over $300/year.I contacted our service provider and found out, in addition to upgrading our service, Truebill also signed us up for TV channels and a service box - NOT what we had agreed to at all!Truebill is now trying to charge us $98 for a service we did not want, did not ask for, plus more services and costs with our internet provider. This is an absolute bait and switch, and this is how Truebill justifies charging consumers more.I've wasted more time (and soon, money) going back and forth with Truebill about their bait and switch practices and wish I had read Complaintsboard.com before signing up with them.

I downloaded TrueBill on my phone but faced unexpected issues
I downloaded the TrueBill app on my phone. I wanted it to monitor my recurring subscription charges. I did not want TrueBill to negotiate any bills or pay for Premium features, just the free app. I allowed them access to my bank activity for this purpose. However, without my consent, they contacted my service provider, reduced my TV channels, and entered me into a new two-year contract. This happened on 7/15, shortly after app installation. My previous service contract was due to expire the week of 7/20. Now, I have fewer channels than before and am struggling to restore my original service at a comparable or lower cost. Moreover, Truebill invoiced me for $218.50 in five installments, claiming 40% of 'my savings' on an annual bill of $546.25. If I had wanted to reduce my bill by cutting channels, I would have done it myself. I've asked TrueBill to cancel my service and the bill. They responded that I can cancel only after paying the $218.50 for the disruption they caused. I received no prior notice of these changes or the charge. I am considering disputing the charges with my bank due to this violation of my privacy and financial autonomy.

We started putting money into a true bill savings account an 2021
We started putting money into a true bill savings account an 2021. To be more accurate we put money into separate truebill savings accounts. We sent have changed the bank that the money was being taken out of to go into the savings account. We were able to switch our bank on the true bill app by adding it but they are refusing to relinquish our money back to us. We have submitted the documentation they asked for. We started submitting it almost two weeks ago. They told us it would take one to two days and they would make two small deposits we would have to verify. I also had to change other apps so those apps made small deposits as well. I assumed it was true bill and then true bill informed me that no that was not them that made those deposits it was another place. They were able to name the place that deposit the money into my bank account. How is it they can verify the other deposits made into my account and who they're from but not put the money into that bank account? They then finally got back to me after a week of submitting my first documentation saying it wasn't good enough. They said that my account number had dashes in it on my check. One to two days my [censored]! They could have told me that documentation wasn't good enough after the first day or two. I then had to go get different documentation from my bank and have since submitted it at 11 a.m. Friday April 1st 2022. It is now April 5th and I have not seen any deposits going to my bank or had any further communication with them since. I cannot pay my bills and all my emergency money is with them and they refused to return it. I can't pay my rent, I can't go grocery shopping and feed my child I can't pay my credit card bills and that's going to affect my credit score, I can't run my business. I wouldn't know if there's some type of legal action I can take against them so that they have to be responsible for all the damage that they're causing us? I would the over $10,000 I have their returned now!

May 10, 2022 Truebill stated my Internet bill appeared to be too high, and offered to negotiate the price
May 10, 2022 Truebill stated my Internet bill appeared to be too high, and offered to negotiate the price. I agreed to have them look into finding a better price. I get an email letting me know they will see what they can do, and that they charge a fee if the negotiations are successful. Which does not set off any red flags for me, I expect a service fee of 10%-20% . As that's pretty standard for most services, and that fee is worth it if it saves me hours on hold with the company. On the 19th, and I get an email saying they haven't been successful so far, but will continue looking for deals. Which at that point I do not expect them to find anything better than the current promotion I was using. May 27 comes around and I get an email stating; "Great news, our expert negotiators were able to save you $300 on your Charter Spectrum bill! That's a savings of $25/mo for 12 months." Payment Details: "As a reminder, Truebill charges 50% of your $300 savings for this service. We will attempt to charge your card ending in XXXX for $150 on May 31, 2022."Immediately them stating that 50% was owed set off red flags. I went on the app and searched through every email to see if I had somehow missed that this was their standard fee. I find nothing. I then go and check my Spectrum account to see if anything has changed, and it has, for $10 more than my previous bill. So I call them and ask if any new promotion had been applied, they said no. I then start looking online to find out if 50% is standard, and that is when I stumble across numerous articles, forums and reviews of this predatory service. I then froze my cards and contacted Truebill asking for evidence that this negation took place, and had I known the fee was 50% I would have never agreed, as 20% is pushing it. What I want now is at the very least for Truebill to stop attempting to charge my card until they can prove that this savings is legit. I have yet to hear back from Truebill on any of the multiple emails sent.

I signed up for Rocket Money thinking it was actually helpful not at all so I canceled my subscription two weeks ago and they charged me again just another rip off app.
I have been asking for a refund of $60.00 that I was charged for on 9/18/23. I was told by an assistant while texting on the platform, I would receieve my refund in 8 to 10 business days. It has been past that and Im very frustrated. Thank you

The best software for budgeting, and SAVING money. They negotiated on my behalf, and knocked my Optimum Online bill down from $90 to $45 a month. I am absolutely thrilled. Best customer service, as well. Shout-out to Brittany!
I am only leaving 4 stars because when they negotiate bills for you, you will have to pay them if they are able to get you a better price. I did not know that until they sent me an invoice. But if you're looking for an online bill manger and be able to have your accounts in one place and just with a click of a button see your spending's than I highly recommend this app. They have a free version which I use, and it will stay free as long as you do not ask them to try and get your bills cheaper. Brittany was awesome help at helping me better understand what they do . Brittany defiantly gets 5 stars from me.
