I recently visited Roses and made a purchase. In that purchase a pack of male boxers were included. When I arrived home I opened the pack and realized that they were entirely too big for my son, so I repackaged them. I returned to the store the following day. I stood in line and when it was my turn I walked up to the counter. The employee would not greet me so I stood there. She finally rudely said can I help you. I then said hello to her which she still at that time did not return a hello back. So I handed her the bag with the item and receipt in it stating that I needed to return them they were too big. She loudly, rudely and hatefully said you can't return use underwear its the store's policy and a health issue. She was so loud that people had turned around and started looking. I asked her where was that policy located and she once again loudly and rudely told me its on the bottom of the receipt and right here as she pointed at a sign on the returns desk. So I stepped out of line to let the lady who was with me make her transaction. I got my receipt out of the bag and went back asked her could she show me what she was talking about. This irritated her even more and she got even louder that she made my children feel uncomfortable. She replied its right there on the bottom of the receipt which reads "refunds accepted up to 30 days with sales receipts/exceptions apply". I then asked what her name was and she then mumbled it. She was so low I asked her again. So she loudly said Gloria. I then took the kids and walked back to the car as my friend was finishing her business. I called the number on the receipt and a young lady finally answered. I asked to speak to the manager. She transferred me to a gentleman that I thought at the time was the manager. He introduced himself as Thomas. I told him I was just in the store and I wanted to make a complaint about the lady at the returns desk. I told him she was very rude and unprofessional. He replied ok, I'll tell the manager. I asked him what was his position and I was told he was the assistant manager. I explained to him that I had asked for the manager. He stated that Jeff is not here he will be here tomorrow afternoon. I told him I would call back tomorrow. Thomas was very uncaring and not really concerned about my situation. He never asked me what happened and he never apologized on behalf of the store. As my friend was standing at the return desk Thomas called Gloria once we got off the phone and asked her was everything ok over there. She then told him huh it would be if I didn't have people asking me what my name is and trying to bring back some underwear they wore and getting an attitude because I tell them it's a health issue and we can't take them back. Let me just say I am not an ignorant individual. I have never been so embarrassed in my whole life. I am floored at the fact that she treated me like common trash. Gloria has no people skills and needs to attend some customer service classes. She has no tack and no class. I have been working in health care for 22 yrs. so I understand the policy, however I was not aware of it. In the past I have returned unworn underwear at several stores with no problem so I didn't think it would be a problem now. I would have had no problem once she explained what store policy was but her attitude was less than desired. It honestly was not the a big deal but her attitude was not acceptable. I been working with the public over 24 yrs. and we value our customers. We know that customers are what keeps our business thriving. I am truly shocked and amazed that someone with such a nasty disposition is working with the public. It is disturbing that Roses allows this type of behavior from an employee. Management is so preoccupied with other things that they can't afford to be concerned about their customers. They are more concerned about their employees. When I came into the store yesterday I saw so many beautiful clothes that I attended on coming back to purchase...not to mention I made a relatively big purchase the day before. I can say that I will never return to this Roses or any other Roses ever again. Sadly my friend feels the same way and word of mouth travels fast. I will make sure that the people who complemented me on my outfit and inquired where I got it from(which was quiet a few) will know what happened. In the future you might want to post your policy sign at each cash register and on the wall in front of the store. Also keep mind your not the only department store out here and it would be beneficial to try to keep the little bit of customers you have.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
went in store spented 120.00 and did not receive all my items call the store back ask to speak to manager he said it was nothing he could do about it
I employee name Peggy Morgan she has black hair and short and brings a men to work with her. She don't need to work there. Cuss in front of customers and there kids.
The Rest Rooms Are Unsanitary and Dangerous, for Employees, Disabled customers and small children.The toilet has hard sharp like cracking plastic.It hurts when seated on.Toilet is not mounted down.Leaving slipping to hold in to.toilet brush cleaner has poop at eye sight.Bathroom door spring has no door control. Leaving door slamming loud like bomb sounds.Enough to shock the heck out of every body.Employee break room Directly across from this filth. I want somthing done about this Nasty unhealthy situation.If Customer and myself gonna spend our money here.
Why isnt anyone taking complaints serious ? None pending.none resolve .
I went in to purchase items she tells me that I can not get the items I purchase cause she didn't have change this is a business I don't have change how could you tell a customer no the cashier then asked some one else walking by and she said no she wasn't given her change I then walked out this is absolutely ridiculous.
Cashier name Cindy at 6:02 pm Saturday September 28, didn't greet me as black customer but spoke freely to white customer in line behind me. I feel I was discrimminated against because of my skin color.

I when roses express store locations in forest park today your cashier's by name tee over price that you all had one price she run us another price she start saying profact language curse word she me to kiss her [censored] very rude you all need to do something about it I am customer I will not back there if she still working. I have came into the store for a month checking for inventory on a pink Christmas tree. If the product is not there the customer should be able to get the display. To tell me I can’t buy the display till after Christmas is ridiculous.
This is not the first time this lady has been rude to me . I am a paying customer and I am going to the BBB with legal council. Thank you and have a blessed day
I went into Roses at 200 Oakwood Ave Huntsville Al, Jan.25th 2024. and this store looked like it did great opening. it was Clean, Organized. get up the good work. I didn't buy a lot today. but with store looking good i will be back.
