A man came to my door and asked if I received a letter and handed me a copy of a request for a survey. We spoke for a few minutes and I answered a couple of questions. I said I would discuss with my family and we would do the survey online if we decided to do it. He was fairly insistent that he return another day. My wife and daughter are not comfortable with a stranger being so insistent to come back to our home and I do not like the implication that he would be invited into my home. By the looks of everything I have seen about this study the interviewers do not have a great reputation for taking “no” as an answer. I have already called the numbers from the pamphlet. One did not pick up and one has a fake answer that then says “hello” like they can’t hear me and hangs up. I have sent an email and left a voicemail. If the gentleman shows up again after I have tried multiple ways to be removed from the list, I will consider it harassment. Please take me off the list as a refusal to participate.
Desired outcome: Do not come back to my house or send me anymore mail.
