Security system
I moved from Colorado to florida a year ago. When I left I called the company to have my service moved with me. Your company sent people to my house in Colorado to pick up the equipment to send to me here in florida. A year later and I still have nothing. I kept calling and eventually got a hold of someone who is calling me a liar and that I still have your equipment. Now you want to charge me 350 dollars for new equipment while I’ve wasted close to 700 dollars on a service I’m not getting. This is beyond ridiculous. Also after talking to the crappy employee that called me a liar she is requesting additional information to waste my time. She already knows where I live and all I want is the damn contract I have with you.
Desired outcome: Give me the equipment that was at my house in Colorado.
Won't let me cancel contract
On July 13th 2022 I called and then sent an email to them requesting them to cancel our service with them. Since then I have called 8 times and emailed them around 7 times to cancel. They always say that a manager will return my call. So far, no one has called or emailed me.
They are now charging me a month to month charge.
They say they have no record of my emails or calls, yet I have copies of emails and a record of calls on phone.
Desired outcome: I want them to cancel the account we have with them and refund the charges since 9/16/2022.

September 2, 2022, I called SHS and complained I had just received my quarterly monitoring bill in the amount of $445.87. It should have been $154.87. I paid all of my bills n time and was up to date. This extra charge was billed to me because in the month of July the company called me and said they were having some problems with my system and needed to come out to see what the problem was. I asked what problem? because I weren't aware of ay problem. They had someone call me and setup an appointment July 21, 2022 from 1-6p.m. I agreed to let them come out. Two men came to my house July 21, 2022, I asked what were they there for? I got no answer. They went to the box down in the basement and came back up in 10 minutes. I asked if they found the problem? and if it was fixed. Neither one answered me, they left. Then I receive this bill September 2, 2022, charging me $288.00 for a service, I didn't know about or authorize. I was very upset when I called the company. This man name Josh called me back apologizing and said he understood my frustration and they had lots of new people there but he would fix the problem. He had a new contract for me to sign and he would take those charges off of my bill. I already have a contract dated November 27, 2018 to expire November 27, 2023. Now I have two contracts. I want to void this new contract dated September 6, 2022 - September 6, 2025.
I received a letter the same day from Michelle K, Customer Service with a copy of the contract signed November 27, 2018. I am confused, why did Josh rush to have me sign a new contract and how to sign it electronically by Docusign? I need some answers, this is deceptive practicing. I have been a customer since 1996. I am 70 soon to be 71 years old. I have been under a lot of stress in the past few days dealing with this matter that should have been solved September 2, 2022, but it wasn't. Everytime I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold or denied. I have trhree contracts in my presents at the moment. lst one dated April 28, 2016-April 28, 2021, 2nd one dated November 27, 2018 while 2016 was still active and now September 6, 2022-September 6, 2025. I was talk into making a change of company.
On July 30, 2022 very fast talking salesman came to my door. I was having a bad day. The first impression he gave was that my system was being up grade, so we sat down and before I new it I was with a different company.
I'm a disable vietnam Veteran so my son takes care of all my affairs.

I am writing this letter as a complaint in regards to my account with Safe Home Security INC, I signed up with SHS since July 2021 and traveled overseas for health reason, and had trusted in Safe Home Security to protect my house and to provide me the best service as I been promised.
The equipment's installed in my house is faulty equipment's, The Fees not what I been promised reached out multiple times to customer service to fix the issues didn’t get the right response, please note this is a breaching of trust
As well when I reached out to the Billing Department which was very hard to reach, they explained for me that the free six months been promised is actually $4.99 so basically is not free and the monthly charges is $69.99 which this not what I agree on
The billing department informed me that’s on the contract which was not represented to me or sent out, the Safe Home Security installation agents let us signed on a digital Tablet
I hope someone hear my voice and honor the consumer protection act in USA, I would like to cancel the contact which been not represented to me and get refund for all the amounts I been charged since I signed up in July 2021.
Note as well the alarm in my house been not alarmed for long time and that leaves my house without protection .
Please respond to my letter as soon possible and have the account cancel and the fees refunded

I was told when I signed up for this system by Brad Harvey who came to my door offering this service that I would have to pay for 1 year before I could cancel.

Brad Harvey [protected] has recently been trying to contact me stating he would update my old alarm at no cost. When I contacted him I told him I wanted to cancel. He asked if I had been a customer for a year I advised I was. Mr Harvey stated he would contact you and someone would come out and remove the system.
In the meantime, I sent an email requesting cancellation and received a letter in the mail dated 07/25/2022 that I cannot cancel till 08/01/2024.
Desired outcome: I would like my contract cancelled.
tired of being charged for two services when I only have one
Oct 2014 I subscribed to this security company and the contract was at 36 months and auto renew but in 2019 I was solicited by a security co. and offered a much better package than I had it included cameras and a lot more features than the one i initially have so they came I liked and when I had signed all paper work I was informed that i may not be able to close my ollder service due to the fact that they were both owned by the same party. had no problem with the company up to then so I figured being they were still getting paid for a service why think they wouldn't release me from my old contract. well they didn't release me from my old contract and I was not notified that i was also in a 60 month instead of the original 36 month I agreed 0n. but I felt it was my fault to think that a security company would be that way so i honored the contract and paid the old contract as well as the new service but did not have the old service plugged in no need for it. so when the cancel period came I filled out the cancel form sent it to the address that was on form and a few weeks later I got the letter back return to sender.
I called the company by the way they both have the same addresss and spoke with a male salesperson and tried to explain to him I sent in the required cancellation form and it was returned he seemed not to understand so he passed me on the Mechelle and she seemed to understand it seemed and she said that the sister company had shut down during 2020 due to covid with that info and me already confused with which one of the companys i was talking I said that explained the return of the letter to me. so I told he being the newest one I was wth shut down and the old one was at its end of the contract I wanted to close it all out. she talked for a while and offered me a 20 month contract and would fix the cameras that were not working so I said I would try it so she got the docu paperwork and sent to me by email and it was as she said so signed and figured all was good a week later got a call and was told that there were some changes that had to be made on the contract and there sure was the main one it changed from 20 months to 60 months so I tried then to just get out of it all and I have asked for copies of the contracts and have supplied them with all info such as the electronic withdraws that show again two subscriptions I am being forced to pqy again i was a man and honored the contract with the first double subscription that s on me this second set of double subscriptions is because I was lied to and tricked into a service and was given the switch that along with the one I was told had shut down it is still billing me as well all info goes to same office and no one seems to understand the problem and I have sent all info that they asked from me to mechelle and she still has not sent me any info I requested I originally wanted to try and be adults about this but if your side can't understand this situation I will take this as far as I need to to resolve this problem so here is what I now want I want my account closed and any of the bill removed and if that is completed I will be ok. I originally was trying to work things out in a fair honest way but the close out offer price was rediculous and it seemed that my past on time payments and the fact I honored the contract and paid two years for a service that wasn't in use or pluged in ment nothing to the company so now I wish to wash my hands of this company. the company would be best advised to hire people that are experenced and able to work with customers or just shut down all together because if you treat customers this way your luck will soon wear out no matter how well a contract is written people just want to be treated fair.
Desired outcome: I want to be finished with this company tired of trying to get a simple problem corrected and it has cost me a good bit of money and patience
Alarm Monitoring Service
I've been trying to cancel the SHS alarm monitoring service for years but have been unsuccessful so far. I'd like to go to other companies for my security system and SHS refuses to acknowledge my cancellation request.
I had a 3-year contract with SHS and trusted them until I got multiple false alarms and got fined by the local police. Then I tried to cancel and they told me I was late in sending my letter of cancellation and the contract auto-renewed for another 3 years.
So, six years of poor service that I have to put up with. SHS so far has not been able to show me any renewal contract as proof.
Desired outcome: Stop/cancel my alarm monitoring service.

Customer service and service technician
Technician is supposed to come out since May. He still hasn't shown up. I keep getting calls telling us we have to postpone our service call. Again today it happened. I called and the rep said he would have someone call me back and, of course, that never happened. Erin and Taylor, two supervisors, both assured me my problem would be handled, and of course, that didn't happen either. They tried to get me to buy equipment and have it delivered to my home, I'm so glad I didn't fall for that scam. This company is the worst! As soon as my contract is up I'm out!
Desired outcome: Have the service rep come out and finish the job so I can be done with this company

Home Monitoring Service
I initially signed up for Alarm.com to provide home monitoring equipment since 2019. On Dec. 28, 2021, the company sent me a message that my account was transferred to Safe Home Security, Inc. due to a merger between the companies.
I requested a copy of my service contract January 2022 from Customer Service when the bill was due. The company accepted the payment, but did not provide any information about the service.
On May 4, 2022, I accidentally set off my home's alarm system. There was no police response. I called dispatch, and they could not find my house in their database.
I want this service cancelled, any payments I made for 2022 returned, and any amounts owed eliminated.
It's clear that the company failed to provide me a copy of the contract when requested, did not provide the monitoring services I paid for, did not explain how long the monitoring system was not working, did not honor the cancellation request, and provided a notice of service transfer during a time when it would be unlikely to be processed in-time due to the holidays.
Desired outcome: Service cancelled, any payments made for 2022 returned, and any amounts owed eliminated.
Home security system
I have been trying to get rid of Safe Home Security for over 6 months. I have had them for over 3 years and they contend I have a 5 year contract. I have sent letters and made calls to no avail. They keep sending bills which I don't pay. They spent no money installing things in the house since we already had everything. I have contacted the Connecticut Attorney General but have so far received no help. They have sued twice and won and apparently the company is thousand in arrears to the State. Don't know what to do except ignore their bills. I need advise.
Can't end the contract with out a huge payment!
Some how they got my 90 year old Mother to agree to a 60 Month contract..
I am moving my mother to a Board and Care, and wonted to close the account, They deduct $43.49 a month from her bank account!
My mother is Legally blind and can't see the alarm panel, and can't read it to set it. She never used it.
Now the want $1250 to get outof the contract!

Safe Home Security
This company tricked me into signing a 5 year contract at a high rate, and when I sold the property, the new owner agreed to take it over. They told her she would have to get her own contract, therefore they could double dip on the same address. When figured out what they were up to and decided to go with a different company. Now they are damaging my credit and demanding payment for a property I don't even own.
Desired outcome: Stope billing me and clear the credit damage.
Service cancellation
I cancelled my service back in January 2022 and I spoke to Erin (manager). I paid the remainder of our contract and sent a formal e-mail request. This month I started getting charged for this service! I've e-mail Erin, no reply. I called twice and no one has gotten back to me. I did what I was asked and nothing has been done.
Desired outcome: Stop billing me.
Termination of service
I was told when I called and asked about cancellation of my service that my contract was up in April 2022... Today I called to cancel and I was informed that since I didn't send them a written cancellation that my contract automatically renewed (without my authorization) and I could not cancel until March 2023. When I called they said that if I sent them a letter now cancelling that I would not be cancelled for 60 days after receiving the letter. The service is terrible, one alarm has not worked for over a year... And my alarm is going off now and no one has called to notify, as has been the case many times. Service I am being billed finally after a year or more of getting billing straight... This company has very unethical and sneaky business practices. Now they have damaged my perfect credit. I had them install a security system at 132 10th st E, St Paul, MN 55101 on 9/18/2019. The installer asked me to sign after he had installed the system so I thought it was just an installation receipt. That business failed because of covid. I sold the property on 12/15/2022. I found out when I tried to cancel that it was a 5 year contract. I would never have knowingly signed a 5 year contract. However, the new owner agreed to take over the contract (which I agreed to still be responsible for) but when she called to set it up, they tried to sell her a new contract so they could double dip on the same property. She figured out what they were up to and went with a different company.
Desired outcome: remove credit damage. Monetary damages would also be welcome for the stress and wasted time trying to get this resolved.

In 2019 I had Vivint Security home security. In August 2019 a Safe Home Security representative and technician came to my door and said they were here to update our current security system which was Vivint. They informed me that Vivint had gone out of business and Safe Home Security was taking over our account and they had all the details of our system and billing information. They went through our system and changed a few things and offered to sell us a Ring doorbell and install it. I agreed and signed a new contract with Safe Home Security.
In October 2019 our security system had a failure with one of the sensors. I called Safe Home Security and there was no one to repair it. I called Vivint since I was still getting monthly bills from them too. Vivint immediately sent a technician to look at the system. The Vivint representative said Safe Home Security was going to all of their Vivint Customers telling them Vivint had gone out of business. I was also still under a contract with Vivint. Vivint was not out of business. The Vivint technician replaced the faulty sensor that had stopped working because it became outdated. Vivint replaced the phone modem that Safe Home Security installed, and I resumed service with Vivint. I tried to cancel my contract with Safe Home Security numerous times, and they always refuse. I have been paying for Safe Home Security for service that I have not used since October 2019. I called them 3/7/2022 and they told me my contract goes until September 2024. They did offer a buyout which is equal to 2 1/2 years of monthly payments.

I had a similar experience to the ones described here. A salesperson came to my door and said he was with ADT and wanted to upgrade our security system. Since I believed him to be with ADT, I allowed him to set up security systems at our two (2) rental properties. Needless to say, the installations were never completed. The technician who was installing the systems reeked of alcohol. He said he would return the next day to complete the installation but never returned. We attempted to contact SHS several times to no avail. My tenants have since returned to their previous security provider, but I continue to receive monthly invoices for service that they don't receive. I have contacted SHS several times about canceling that service, but I have been told that I either have to pay 90 percent of the remaining 5 years of service or move the systems to other locations where they can be used. Neither option is acceptable to me. I just want these people to stop sending me invoices and cancel the service. Any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Yes. That is what they do. Pretend they are affiliated with another company so they can scam you into a contract with them. They are bad news.
I'm being charged for services not rendered.
I was under contract for services to my home in Washington D.C. 20020. In June of 2021 I sold my home and move to Fort Washington, MD. 20744. I contacted SHS, told them that I was moving and would like the system moved to my new home. A date was scheduled for the Tech to come out and uninstall the system. The Tech never showed up. I called to set another appointment for the system to be moved and was told that they could not get a Tech out to me for several weeks. By the time the Tech could come out I had to be out of the home. One of the customer service reps, talked me through uninstalling the system and i brought it with me to my new home. No one ever came to install the system. I called several times. Notes were recorded ad attached to my account. I called several times trying to get someone to come but no Tech ever came. I was leaving town and my daughters would be here with no security. I gave SHS one more chance to keep me as a customer. When they still did not come out I contacted another company and had a system installed. SHS wants me to pay to get out of the contract when they were the ones who did not uphold their part of our agreement. How is that fair to me? Foe several months SHS has been charging me for services that they are not providing. I feel as though I’m being robbed. I could see if I were the reason or changed companies, but I did not. I gave them every opportunity to keep me as a customer. I would like to be reimbursed for the months SHS has charged for services not rendered. Regarding my complaint with SHS; Today I spoke with Mr. Jevaun Phillips who was very professional, kind and pleasant. We came to an agreement and resolved my issue. I wish I had spoken to Mr. Phillips in the beginning I'm certain that he would have gotten someone out to reinstall the security system in my new home. I was very pleased with the service provided by SHS. I was a long time customer. I will consider returning to SHS when my contract with my current provider is up. Mr. Phillips understands what customer service is all about and he provided that to me today. There is a saying that the customer is always right even when they're wrong. That was not the case here and Mr. Phillips admitted that the company dropped the ball. He is truly an asset to SHS's customer service team. I'm very pleased with how he handled my case.
