Safe Home Security Do not sign a security agreement with the company.

My husband accidentally signed the agreement, thinking it was for another company. It was a mistake. I explained this to the company multiple times and the is absolutely no way to end the contract. It was going to cost me thousands of dollars to end the agreement. So now I continue to pay for a service monthly that I don't even use. They told me if I didn't pay monthly or pay the early termination fee they would ruin my credit.

Recommendation: Do not sign a security agreement with the company. There is no way out ever.

Safe Home Security Worst company ever

You’re better off buying ring or any other company product than this one. It’s over priced and their customer service is horrible. I’ve called 3 times now to get help reconnecting my outdoor camera with over the phone support and no one has called me back. It’s been a week and a half. Each time I’m told it would take 24-48 hours to get back to me and no one has. Other than that you are required to be in a contract. When I called to cancel my contract and pay off my remaining balance, I was offered a deal… $3 off my existing monthly bill, what a joke, what is $3 going to do to save me any money. It’s a waste of time and so much for “monitoring” because my camera hasn’t worked in a while and no one has called to check in on that monitoring aspect of it asking me about it.

Recommendation: Keep shopping around

Safe Home Security Security system

Last year in February I received a phone calls and texts from safe home security stating that I needed to upgrade to 5G because there system was moving to that from 3G. I had to paid for the upgrade. If I didn't that my alarm system would not work properly. Basically if my alarm went off that the police would not be informed. I stated I was not paying for an upgrade and that my contact ended in September and I would just end it then. So from February of 2023 until now I have been paying $51 a month for a system that doesn't work. They renewed my contract when I asked them not to. I spoke with Adriana in August 2024 she stated that I just needed to send in a written letter 2 weeks prior to my contract on October 5, 2024. I sent a certified letter and email in 9/11/2024. They rejected my email and have not responded to my certified mail. I received a bill yesterday 11/13/24 for $51. This is not right for me to be paying for something that doesn't work. This company is horrible.

Claimed loss: $1224. Money spent on a system that doesn't work.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and a apology. Contract ended as soon as possible and a refund of payments since February 2023.

Safe Home Security Fraudulent security service

Someone opened an account without my permission or signatures and now because I don't have the document you sent them I cant cancel the service?!?!?

The FTC and BBB are useless. If they were worth the gum on the bottom of my shoe there's no way this company would still be operating. My mother is elderly and a horder. She used my information to book this company instead of a more reputable one. They sent someone out who drilled holes in brick and mortar and through the hallways of the home. It was the installation of a sloppy butcher if said butcher was an electrician. Mangled my mothers house to install a system that doesn't even work. The camera is trash. I can get a better one for $20. My mothers ability to care for herself is questionable and I'm trying to get her finances in order. Part of which is cancelling these unscrupulous thieves.

Desired outcome: I want this subscription cancelled and this bill wiped.

Safe Home Security End contract

I never signed a contract with SHS. They said they bought my contract from Toll Brothers. I told them that I do not want their services. I have emailed them to stop services. My alarm has been broken for months. Even before that I told them that I was not living at the home for two years. They still refuse to cancel the alarm. They sent me a bill a year later and threaten to report me to the credit bureau. I want these people to stop charging me and leave me alone. They refuse to terminate the imaginary contract that I never signed.

Desired outcome: Terminate services not rendered. Refund me the money I paid. $460.80

Safe Home Security Technical support..no service

Purchased two remote capable dead bolts in April of this year. Requested a technician to install on two new custom made doors. I keep calling and either I am put on hold or promised a follow up call. On one call I was told I live in the middle of no where and service of any kind is not available. I responded by asking why did you send the dead bolts to set up and further more why did you sell the service in the first place knowing the company cannot service my area? The response was “good point” I have called today 7-5-23 stating I need this taken care of by the 11th when the custom doors are to arrive. AG of Connecticut is my next stop after the 11th.

Desired outcome: A phone call would be nice

Safe Home Security alarm contract

I did not open or approve the account in question. When I purchased

the home through Toll Brothers, I fulfilled my contractual obligation

and canceled the account with Toll Brothers. Toll sold the company to SHS. Despite my account being closed, they have

opened an account and continue to bill me for a service that I am not

nor did I sign up for. I requested that you immediately

discontinue and cancel the service and stop billing me for it. I also

request that you do not collect payments for the months that you have

billed me for without my authorization. I have filed a complaint with

the Attorney General for Connecticut.

Safe Home Security Fraudulent contract

A contract was fraudulently made out in my mothers name. All they had was her Bank routing and account number. The company took $59.99 out of her account for 3 years before it was found out. They had never been to her home and there was no equipment or evidence of her having this service. Unfortunately she passed away before we knew about this fraud. The company did email us the fraudulent contract after I insisted on proof of their service. What were they billing her for. I made a police report against them. It’s a civil matter now

Safe Home Security My home security system

I changed out a low battery from one of my door sensors after the system notified me. The next morning all my sensors communication failed and the system beeped throughout the day, even after sensors were bypassed. I called customer service a number of times, even was walked through a hard reset. That didn’t work and the soonest tech appt is two weeks from now. I have to go two weeks with an inactive security system? This is not adequate service.

Desired outcome: Have a tech out this week to correct the issue.

Safe Home Security Home security

customer ID 265248. At the time payments stopped we changed home security providers. I called the Safeguard number provided to me in the presence of a witness to verify that our contract had expired or if not how much of the contract could be transferred to the new provider. I was told by your representative that the contract had expired and there was no balance. Just to be sure I visited the Orlando, Florida address provided only to find it was a dead drop office. Sensing that something was amiss I tried the online phone numbers and all were reception less. I received no billing for more than 90 days and then I received an unexpected bill for approximately $500. I called the number on the bill and explained it as above. I was told tough luck. I explained that your delay of greater than 90 days made it impossible to negotiate a transfer to the new company. I was told tough luck. I again explained that Safe Home had notified me that I had no bill. I was told tough luck. To be free of the problem I offered to pay a lesser amount. That was refused. I notified supervising boards of Florida and CT and was told to keep them posted as it appeared Safe Home was having internal problems.

Safe Home Security Refusing to stop service and cancel account

I am past my 3 year contract and have been trying to cancel my service and this company has refused to close account. I have provided a written request and have spoken to numerous people at that company and they have been un responsive and unwilling to help… I have now stopped payments to the company. Safe Home security is a very unethical company…

Running into a similar problem. My mother-in-law, who's mid-80s, recently began experiencing issues with the system and had called for 'maintenance'. They came out, did something and left. 60 minutes later, her alarm went off. The company (after waiting for HOURS to get connected to a representative) told her that the batteries were probably bad - but replacing them did NOT result in the alarm stopping. After another call - with what I have been told was a terribly rude response - our frustration boiled over and we told them we needed to cancel the service altogether. We were told - and we did confirm - that one of their unethical sales people sold her a 66-month renewal recently...now, my MIL can't get around; is exhibiting the early stages of dementia; and relies on her kids to do her bills, her shopping, and pretty much everything else. We were absolutely blown away when asked her about it, and she told us what they "made her sign" the extension.

Our response is still being formulated, but I've suggested that we stop the payments; hope that the company refers it to a collection agency; allow her credit to become 'poor'; and then sue this company for pain, suffering, neglect, and theft. We'll see what happens.

Safe Home Security Move and install equipment

We moved March of last year and until now 2023 and we still have not got our equipment installed. We they are billing us every month because according to them we still have a contract. How can I pay for a service when I don’t have it. I’m frustrated with this company. I called many times and they can’t figure it out. I assumed they’ve had a customer like this before and I thought this would be an easy move. I’m very disappointed with safe home security!

Desired outcome: I want my contract cancel since they can’t accommodate me. I want my bill to 0 dollars since the equipment or service was not there. Thank you .

Safe Home Security Home Alarm

I bought a house with their product installed and active. I called them to have it switched over to my name. They signed me up for a 3 year contact without telling me. When I called to cancel it they tried to make me pay the whole 3 years worth of service. Definitely a scam. They’re adding more and more money to the total every time they send a new bill. Waiting for them to try to take me to court over it so I can inform the judge of what they’re doing.

Desired outcome: Cancel what they falsely claim I owe.

Safe Home Security Home security

I and a friend have tried to cancel our respective service with SHS for a few weeks now as we both have a more reputable company with whom we wish to provide security services. After having been hung up on, directed to voicemail several times, and only receiving emails further delaying any action, I don't know what to do.

SHS took over services from another company that was pitched to new homeowners when purchasing homes. All was fine until SHS. Furthermore, several people in my relatively new development have had a heck of a time trying to get away from SHS.

I followed their directions to cancel services by sending an email, but I only received a generic email response of, "one of our agents will get back to you shortly." A follow-up phone call be me was fruitless. The agent wanted to have me forward an email, transfer me, an eventually, he hung up on me.

Between my friend and myself, it should not take 15 — 20 calls and pieces of communication to get a simple contract cancelled. As other people have written on this site, SHS requested a buyout from my friend but cannot produce the contract to show my friend of these termination terms. She cannot find it on her agreement since her old contract was to be continued. I have not even gotten to this step because an SHS rep will not respond to my numerous requests.

Even for minor issues such as requesting certificates for insurance, it takes a long time just to even get someone on the phone and forget about getting a certificate. My friend asked for new signs for the yard and cannot even get those. Whomever allowed this company to take over from the developer's security company should have been paid a hefty sum with all of the stealing of fees with no provided services that SHS continues to do.

Desired outcome: I want written confirmation that my services with Safe Home Security are terminated immediately. If I owe money (which I don't believe) according to the agreement, then show me the one I signed and how much I owe.

Safe Home Security House monitoring

My name is Martha Carrillo, back on 04/01/2020 lost my job. I summited a letter cancelling my services and requesting to pick up the equipment from my home.

Since then, I continued getting the bills month after month.

I am 85 years old that suffers to a good deal of sickness, your constant billing is making me stress and nervous. I want this to spot immediately. I have done what the contract stipulates. Requested the cancellation in writing. Please correct your computer error and stop sending me bills.

I need to get a letter from you guys telling me when are you sending to pick up the equipment I never used because it was never installed properly.

Even though I pay more than one year.

Desired outcome: pick you your equipment and stop the billing for the services that was cancelled over 2 years ago.

Safe Home Security Poor service, no security for five months and will not allow us to cancel. #541293

I have been dealing with SHS since July System went down. Was told battery will be mailed and technician will be out to service. In August, was called and told technician will not be out until end of September 2022. No battery arrived. Received invoice. Called company due to no service. Sent cancelation letter 8/31/22. Spoke to Khalia Davis 9/30/22 who promised to call me back. No call. I called and left messages 10/4/22 and 10/25/22. No call back to me. On 11/2/22 received new invoice for $85.98 (two months charges plus processing fee. Called a nd spoke o Jamie at ext 1772. He wanted to put me into new 36 months contract. Told him no, he said I couldn’t cancel. After some conversation and my threat to hire an attorney and report SHS, he said he would speak to someone “higher up in cancelation department.” I agreed that if the $85.98 is waived, a technician gets out to repair the system, I would continue until contract end date of Feb 18, 2024 at the current rate. He gave me his extension and said I would hear from him tomorrow. 11/3/22. We will see. If not, I want out of the contract immediately.

Desired outcome: Prefer to cancel contract which ends in Feb 2024, but will agree to resume if security is restored and current bill of $85.98 is credited back. If not, please cancel contract.

Safe Home Security Safe Home Security contract termination scam

I entered into a safe home security contact about five years ago. We sold our house and moved and I requested a cancellation. About six months after selling the house I was contacted by safe home security about my contract. They wanted a significant cancellation fee well over $1000. I told him I was no longer using their service. I continue to get calls and subsequently my credit rating has been impacted due to this ridiculous scam. I paid for their services and I don't think expecting a four digit cancellation fee is good business practice

On November 20,2022 my 5 year contract was over with SAFE HOME SECURITY, INC.

I called home safe security, inc. 3 times to cancel my services 3 different times as soon as my contract was over.

Safe Home Security INC. has continued to charge me as if they where monitoring my home for two years and counting. They will not dismiss the charges accumulated because they are now saying that I did not write a letter of cancelation. Three different times I spoke to someone to tell them to stop charging me and come pick up their unused equipment, not once did they tell me to write a letter of cancelation.

they said that I had an account balance that was no more than $150.00 dollars that was pending. I called safe home security, inc. Several times to stop charging me for a non active account and to cancel my contract entirely. 2 years later after my 5 year contract they are still charging me for services not rendered. Safe home security, inc. Is now charging me $2412.80, which is now reflecting my credit report.

I called them today once again, I asked them for a copy of my contract and they had to switch departments 3 times, I still haven't received a copy. They said the only way to get out of this debt is to pay 90% of $2412.80 or reinstate my contract. I am not happy with this at all be aware with this company they did not try to help me at all. Who will keep me safe from home safe security inc.?

Safe Home Security Work order going on sixty-five days

I called Safe Home Security on Aug 3, 2022 to report that my garage sensor was not working. On or about Sept 12,2022 to report my bathroom sensor was not working. They gave two dates that were going to come by and make the repairs. They didn't show up on either day which I took off work. They didn't have the courtesy to call me to let me know that they were not coming. I have talked to many managers and directors with no results. They indicated that they understand my frustrations. There has not been any follow-up on the work orders. I asked to be released from my contract since they are not abiding by their contract. They said I would have to pay in order to get out the contract. I asked one of the managers if it's ok if your company is not abiding by the contract. I have just had to tolerate and accept your bad service. They are still charging me for a service that I'm not receiving.

Desired outcome: I would like to be relieved from my contract with no penalties. The service that I received was the worst service, and that's putting it nice.

Safe Home Security Home security system

Our mother was a customer of Safe Home Security and recently passed, upon her passing we contacted SHS and was told all we needed to do was email a death certificate and that we wanted her account closed. That didn’t happen. They debuted her checking account and we recently closed it and now receiving invoices

I spoke to someone there and they said the family had to buy out the contract.

No we do not have to! She has no estate.

We have contacted our lawyer and the BBB along with the state attorney generals office as I also work for the state and they informed me they are breaking laws through harassing correspondence Dee wince
