On August 1, 2024, I purchase this Samsung Galaxy Flip 6 phone from the Samsung Website. For reasons unbeknown to me, the phone stop working on January 13, 2025. the main screen froze up twice, then both screens went totally black, and unresponsive for no reason. After doing a soft reset, only the outer screen came back on, the main screen is completely non-functional. While searching the internet for possible solutions, I found this problem to be a commonly recurring malfunction that’s been repeatedly reported to Samsung.
I contacted Samsung Customer Support, phone still under one year warranty, they gave me Samsung Ticket #[protected], and I was advised to take the phone to BreakiFix by Asurion, which I did on January 14, 2025. Breakifix refused to take my phone because of two superficial marks on the phone. I notified Samsung Customer Support and I was advised that if Breakifix refused the phone there is nothing they can do. the Samsung Representative said, Breakifix decision is the final decision.
The reason they are giving to reject repairing my phone is totally unacceptable. The phone is less than 6 months old, with two superficial marks, which you have to look extremely close and hard to find/notice, and there is nothing that says superficial marks void the warranty. I’m being gaslighted, and Samsung reasoning for not repairing my phone is just their ways to avoid standing by their problematic product when they know undisputably it’s a manufacturing defect, and not a customer’s misuse.
It is ridiculous to have to file a complaint to receive justifiable customer rightfulness. Pictures attached, but hard to see superficial marks on upper main screen, and on hinge area next to the word Samsung.
Claimed loss: 1,000 Dollar Phone
Desired outcome: I want Samsung to stand behind their product, and repair / replace my phone, in the same manner in which I have patronized their business for over twenty years.
