Delivery of refund
Money says it was funded on march 5th they told they mailed a check on march 18th, it’s now the 31st of march and I have not received anything. They are so rude it’s a terrible company to do business with.

Refund Transfer Bank Products Fees Collection
Since February 9, 2022, the TPG has been withholding my fees from my clients although the client has gotten their refunds deposited from the IRS. It is not my bank (Navy Federal Credit Union) because they did a lengthy investigation and determined that no such attempts were made to deposit funds into my account and there have been no rejections of attempts to deposit funds into my account.
Additionally, there has been numerous verifications of both my account number and routing transfer number. Also, there has been more than one verification of bank record file from Inuit's end. With over 33 known documented call ins to resolve the issue, there has been no gap closed on getting it resolved. Along with the horrendous CSR, as a whole (there were eight pleasant calls of the 32 attempts with still waiting yet on another return call), and with remote CRSs with seemingly improper training, things seem too unorthodox in comparison to last year and before. As a result, I feel that there may be illegal, criminal, or at the least non-business practices amidst the lower ranks. February 24,2022 The Tax Products Group, “TPG”, webtaxpayer (sbtpg.com) received my IRS Refund in the amount of $4080.
March 2, 2022 Green Dot Bank rejected my IRS tax refund in the amount of $3,819 on March 2, 2022 in error. The attached conference call provides evidence of the error between Green Dot and Santa Barbara Tax Products Group. Attached is my bank statement showing weekly pay & NYS taxes are deposited weekly into this account using the same exact name and address.
I was not aware of the relationship between Green Dot, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group or TurboTax. I was t aware a 3rd party with my knowledge, the involvement of The Tax Product Group. In the attached video an agent of TPG stated “its in the fine print”. Is this legal? Additionally, the existing relationship is extremely inappropriate in this setting of blaming each other. March 3, 2022 Green Dot Bank stated my refund was returned to the IRS on March 3, 2022. No mention of a 3rd party, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, was ever provided. It wasn’t until I located a copy of the IRS tax refund last year, 2021.Copy of Check Attached.
March 14- After locating the check last year when this nightmare happened I located Santa Barbara Tax Products Group. advised me a check "was mailed on the 7th"

I requested an EFT or overnight check due to the bank experiencing an “internal” issue that prevented the printing of my IRS refund. TPG Rep “ I did check with processing. We are not able to process your request”.
All bank information filed with TurboTax used for my NYS and IRS direct deposit confirmed. My question “How did you guys deposit my state taxes into the correct account but not the federal?” TPG Rep” Once again, we do not deposit the state funds” My Shock “Who does?” TPG Rep “you will need to discuss that with TurboTax”
I question the TPG Rep “where is this money now. Where is this account? Where is this money deposited” Once again we refer to the IRS tax form to confirm routing and account number. TPG Rep returns to the line “Regarding the check. THE CHECK ITSELF HAS NOT YET BEEN PRINTED. My Shocking response “They told me it was printed on the 7th to the point where I was tracking down the postman. There is an issue with my mail!”
I stated “your website is also telling me you deposited the money. Where is it?” Rep “On the TPG Website or the Turob Tax” My response “On your own website it says you deposited $3,819 into my checking account 1018 which is exactly what I read to you. THEN it says “cashiers check” but you're saying there is no check” TPG Rep “We are processing you a check ma’am.” My response of frustration “We just confirmed everything. Why was it not deposited” The only response “I’m sorry. We can’t” More lies.
Once again, approx ½ later the rep asks me to confirm the routing number. TPG Rep came back to line again to confirm “ok ma’am we have confirmed all of the information is correct so this may be an internal error within your bank”.WHAT!? My response “Aren’t you guys the bank itself?!” REP: “Ok we are the bank that sends the funds to your personal bank. Like your direct deposit. Where you want the funds to be sent into.” My SHOCK “Wait. WHAT?” TPG REP”Ok so you wanted your funds direct deposit into your account?” MY Lingering shock “That’s what I thought I was doing!” TPG REP “Thats what I’m trying to inform you. You account information DOES match but the bank itself did return the funds back to us.”
Now I am so confused “where is the money right now”. TPG REP “Your money is being submitted so we can send you a check.”
My response “Ok you received the money back on March 3rd. What happened at that time” TPG Rep “Since March 3rd we have been processing your funds (inaudible) we did have an internal issue, which we have corrected and the funds are being sent out to you ask we speak”
Is this Legal? My question “You’ve been holding this money since March 3rd. It’s March 15th and let me guess. Will there be any fees deducted for your banking internal issue?” TPG Rep “Since the funds were returned back to us there is a fee of $30”
My second question “We just verified all the information was correct with Green Dot. Right? How are you going to charge me a return check fee when we confirmed I did everything properly.” The representative answered “that is something you have to discuss with the bank?
My question to TPG Rep. “What is the internal issue” TPG Rep “That is all they deliver” I’m not sure what that means

How long can a bank hold $3,800 from your taxes because of an internal issue? Once TPG refused to schedule an EFT or overnight the check I once again asked why they were holding the funds since March 3rd and again clarified they were not authorized to do anything with my money. Why wasn’t the check already sent? TPG responded “Ma’am. We ran into an internal problem”

I asked the SBTPG representative “Where has this money been since March 3rd? SBTPG Rep “It’s pending”
SBTPG Rep “There is no supervisor and if your not satisfied with this I’m sorry but that is the only answer” . As of March 27th I still have not received a call from a supervisor regarding my federal funds.
When asked “Is your company a bank?” SBTPG Rep “Yes we are the bank of Santa Barbara”When I asked again to set up EFT into another account due to the relationship with Green Dot my request was denied.
When asked “how do I know there isn’t going to be a technical issue on Friday when the check is supposed to be printed” SBTPG Rep : We only mail, I mean print check on Wednesday and Friday”
When asked “today is Wednesday, they told me the check was being printed yesterday. If today is Wednesday, why isn’t it being printed today?” SBTPG Rep “Ma’am. On my end I cannot print it for you”
SBTPG Rep “ The check will be printed on Friday” When asked again “Did you tell me the check wasn’t printed today because of a technical issue” SBTPG Rep “YES”. When asked “How can I be sure there won’t be a technical issue on Friday?” SBTPG Rep “Because its not going to take too long and I think we already fixed it”.

I am the same boat with the exact same days. I have allegedly had 3 checks sent out, even after paying $25 to get an I-Bond form notarized. The last resort was to send it back to the IRS and that hasn't been done. After 3 months, I was able to speak with the IRS only to be told the money had not been sent back and there is nothing they can do for me. The IRS rep suggested I start a civil case with Santa Barbara Tax Product Group.
That may be hard seeing you can't get real information about them. I'm livid.

They've had my Tax Refund since the 16th of March. Whenever I finally get on the phone with a live rep, they LIE and say that they haven't gotten anything from the IRS. Which I know isn't true because I spoke with them on two different occasions and they started a trace on my money. Then another rep blames turbo tax saying that they made a duplicate account. Legally they can only hold a person's refund for 48hrs. These people are crooks and I just really need my money. I shouldn't have this much stress over money that belongs to me. I pay in every year for this reason and now these people are holding it hostage!

My return was sent to this tax group on 2/19/22. Was supposed to be DD on 2/24/22. Money was never deposited, claims that m account was wrong. I have used the same account for years! They stated they printed a check and sent it out first on 3/2/22 then 3/4/22 never received anything from them. I called back and after 2 hours I finally spoke to someone they now had a new date for a check 3/14/22. Then wanted me to fill out some paper and have it Notarized. I said no not filling out nothing. Now do to me filing complaints about this they claim they can’t talk to me and they just hang up. It is now 35 days since they received my return and I still have nothing.

I efile my client tax returns on March 3, 2022, and it was accepted by TPG that same day.
It shows in the State of Michigan a Deposit was made on March 18, 2022, in the amount of $ 791.00 and another amount for $180.00. I called the State of Michigan and the confirmed that the money was deposited into a bank called Vista, which is Santa Barbara Bank and Trust. I have called the TPG CSR, telephone line, and I was on hold for hours, to have them look into the situation and they informed me that the check was not ever seen by them but according to the State of MIchigan it was deposited. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and no one allow it the happen. There were fees of up to $70.00 deducted for my client refund and I still can't get help after paying for the product.
I need to speak to someone concerning this matter, because its a fraudulent matter, which will be address in other avenues.
I was also told to get the transaction code, routing and account number form the State of Michigan and call back and this is not going to happen because it confidential, so the State of Michigan will mail that information to the address on file with that information,

Hello, I am completing a complaint to the Attorney General and any other organization that will listen UNTIL something is done. The attached recording occurred with a Santa Barbara Tax Product Group agent on the line. The agents have blatantly lied and admitted it. The agents, website and auto line give 3 different answers as to where my $3,819 is. As if that weren't enough the agent compares the "technical issue" to Ukraine, Coronavirus and is sure to point out how it failed black and Hispanic. Sounds like disclosing my race and gender in the disclosures wasn't all that confidential after all. The rep even referenced White women in America. For starters, SBTPG banks have horrible csr’s, horrible customer service! My refund was sent out March 16th and they claim they don’t hold refunds at SBTPG, they say they send it out as soon as they receive it, well with that being said, their website still says they haven’t received a dime but when I called they say I have a duplicate account and that they received 18,000 which is double of what IRS sent me. There’s no sense of urgency and they’re not doing anything to fix the issue. IRS said there’s nothing they can do and turbo tax isn’t taking any accountability either. I’m livid that they’re even still allowed to be in business!

I filed my taxes with Turbo Tax.
My return was significantly lower (almost $4000) than what was expected.
I called TT. They blamed IRS and gave me a phone number.
I called phone number with IRS and they said they sent TPG the full amount, no offsets. IRS agent said he has never seen anything like this particular issue ever in his experience working with the IRS. He said deposit was clearly reflecting full amount.
I called TT back and they said TPG takes care of the transactions, but insist IRS only send lower amount. Gave me another # with IRS to call, which I already had. Offsets shows NO offsets.
I called United Collection Bureau as well, who is handling collection on state tax debt. They also confirmed they have not issued a levy on my account.
I tried calling TPG. Held for 2.5 hours and then their system hung up on me. Tried calling back, got weird message saying they got my application for an advance on my return and as soon as my return was processed, they would process my application. I never filed an application of this nature.
Desired outcome: Since the IRS states they can see the transaction for the full amount, I want TPG to either pay the full amount or provide substantial supporting documentation showing the IRS did not send the full amount

I agreed to allow credit karma information to apply for a refund advance, I was denied then found out last week that Santa Barbara Tax Products Group Bank would be depositing my tax refund the direct deposit got denied on March 8th after 4 days I finally reached someone who told me they would be issuing a cashier's check. I was provided a number to call to get updates but the date the check was supposedly been issued move up with the day of the month I call. After another 3 days of not being able to get ahold of anyone I was informed on March 15 that they only issue checks on Wednesdays and Friday's I contacted them again today and it still has not been sent I am filing a second complaint against turbo tax for saying it was releasing my information to one company and actually releasing it to another and this company for illegally holding my federal tax refund I'm guessing to capitalize on the interest I'm not sure.

This bank has had my income tax money since March 5th and has been holding it every since. Every time I call (after being put on hold for multiple hours) I’m being told various different stories about what is going on with my money. What’s worse is NO ONE can help; not the IRS, TURBOTAX, NO ONE! So tpg received my fund from IRS on 02/24/2022 and bank rejected direct deposit on 02/25/2022 so via bank print out cashiers check was sent 03/04/2022. I still haven't received check and called sbtpg a dozen times and every time they tell me something different or what I want to hear just to get me off phone without being helped and I was relying on money due to financial hardships so if I could get honest help to get this taken care of it I would appreciate it keeping a single dad of two daughters the ages 5 and 6 off the streets because kind wrong that turbo tax and you got your cut already and were suffering because customers service lied to me over and over instead of resolving issue.

I filed my taxes in mid-February, they were accepted in early March. On the 2nd, my refund was sent to TPG to be put into my account, but that account was closed and there was no way to reopen it before my refund was deposited. So the refund was sent back to TPG and they have claimed that a check was sent out on the 7th, the 8th, the 9th, 10th, 11th, etc, etc. Whatever day you call the number (which has no live assistance, only automated), that's the day it says your check was sent out. They are lying about people's mail, as well as their federal refunds. They are breaking the law and they must be held accountable. I am going to file charges against this company for robbing me of my $8439 and I suggest everyone follow suit, otherwise SBTPG will think they can keep robbing us and treating us like second class citizens. They do not have any form of contact to help their clients in any way, they only have a message system on their website that they sometimes don't even respond to. TPG must go! Thank you.

This company has interfered between my filing my Internal Revenue Service taxes and my direct deposit to my bank. How can they do this? I filed on February 3, using Turbo Tax, as always. My State refund was deposited directly into my bank account, but Santa Barbara Tax Products Group has withheld my Federal refund - lying about something wrong with my statement, etc. There is nothing wrong with my filing. But there is something wrong with this company withholding almost $3,000 of my money. The attachments show the difference between what I was supposed to receive, and the amount that this company has actually released.

I have been waiting on my refund from them since March 1, 2022. It shows the IRS sent it to them on that day. They have been holding it ever since. I have called numerous times and have been given the run around each time. The first time, they said my check was mailed out on the 3rd, and to wait 5-7 business days to receive it. I did that. Didn' receive anything. I called back and they told me it hasn't been mailed out yet, but has been printed and will go out that following Wednesday. I called back Thursday to see if it had been mailed out. They said they don't know where I got that information from and that it hadn't even been printed yet, but would be mailed out last Friday. That didn't happen. I spoke with someone today and they said they do not even have access to any of the information that the previous reps were giving me, so he doesn't know why they told me any of that. I have asked to speak with a supervisor who they claim will call me back within 24 hrs. I haven't heard back from anyone. I was also told the bank rejected it because of invalid routing number. This is incorrect. I provided the correct routing and checking number. I am waiting on $12,000+, there is no way I am going to mess up on that. Not to mention, I pulled my 1040 paper from the IRS website AND intuit to double check the routing and checking, and what the IRS sent over them is the correct routing and checking, so I do know why they are lying, telling customers we gave you incorrect information. This is ridiculous. I am ready to pursue legal action against them. I NEED MY MONEY

Now I'm still waiting n was told today to wait 21 business days. If I was to submit a list check form. I can do that but not guarantee that my check will be sent right out after .
