Extra charging and not refunding my money They are charging me for extra which is not in contract and their accountblity is not working proper. In my contract said they will provide me 3 month free alarm system but they charging me from 1st day.

Alarm is unserviceable, they refuse to fix. It was 45 + minutes (20 + on hold) to tell them my system had a fault reading on the panel. They already knew there was a problem because they called at 2 am to tell me I had a technical problem. The first women I spoke to gave me a hard time about a verbal password, I was not trying to cancel an alarm! She could not identify the problem and passed me on to another women, she could not identify the problem either. She was rude when I tried to figure out what to do next and hung up without saying anything. Securtek is refusing to fix the problem even though I have been a customer with United Alarm/Securtek for almost 10 years. I am still being charged, but the system does not work at all.

Services requested to be cancelled in May . Just found out this was never done and I have been charged every month since then. I moved my business in May , i requested Securtek to quote services at my new location. A rep visited the location, but failed to provide me pricing in a timely manner so I moved to a different security company. I requested to have my services cancelled, and just found out that this was never done and I have still been getting charged monthly. I called Securtek about this and was told they could cancel now, but would still charge me for the next 30 days! This was a mess up by their employee. I did not know there was any sort of cancellation process needed as I informed the person i was dealing with I was not happy and would no longer need their services, not knowing he did nothing with this information.

Switch of contractor without duly informing us. We had a contract with *** for smoke/fire alarm, door/window alarm & video at back door. Securtek bought out *** without either *** or Securtek informing us. They had even dropped the protection service with their sloppy non-response time. When we finally disonnected the alarm due to nothing working properly, it took until the next day for Securtek to notify us! It was just at that time that we found out that Securtek had bought out *** contracts. They refuse to acknowledge anything and will not even consider allowing us out of a contract that they are not honoring. *** Now it looks like we're being forced to abide by a contractor we did not agree to and who is very untrustworthy!

5 minute response time when alarm is going off. I signed up with a different company, not Securetek. Two years ago, I chose another service provider. Three months back, they shifted my service to Securetek without my consent. The response time was 5 minutes when my alarm sounded, and this wasn't a one-time event. How can one feel secure at home when the response takes over 5 minutes? Their customer service is lacking, with a particularly rude representative. I requested to cancel my contract, and she threatened a $900 fee! With 16 months remaining at $27.95/month, the contract specifies an 87% buyout rate, amounting to $389.06. The previous company didn't install any new equipment; everything was pre-existing, and the technician assured me I wasn't bound by the contract since I wasn't paying for equipment. My frustration with this company is immense.

At the end of October, I received a call from the monitoring station about an alarm code. I informed them of my cancellation, but they said the monitoring was still active. I removed the equipment on October 23rd and returned it, unnoticed by them until then. On November 2nd, I spoke with someone about computer issues; they promised to call back. On November 5th, I learned there were 35 months left on my contract. They claimed my system would move to a new address under the existing contract, but now they say I signed a new contract and owe $52.11 for another 35 months. As a retiree, I can't afford this. Having owned the house for 12 years, I'm certain my original contract was fulfilled long ago. No one mentioned a new contract during the process.

On Oct 27, 2019, I paid a technician ($230 cost) to replace the batteries in 5 of my sensors and to replace 2 of the sensors. I wanted to ensure everything was functional before our winter vacation. The alarm was tested and operational. On Dec 1, 2019, the technician had SecurTek assume the monitoring role. Upon returning on March 16, I contacted United Alarm to test the system, but they referred me to SecurTek. Tests revealed no signal, and troubleshooting was unsuccessful. The technician eventually restored my system remotely. I was upset to learn my home alarm wasn't monitored during the winter. The company denied responsibility for equipment failure, capping liability at $250. I requested reimbursement for nearly 6 months of unmonitored service, but they directed me to SecurTek. My initial call to SecurTek was on April 17, followed by multiple attempts until speaking with Melanie on April 27, who found no record of my calls but offered 5 months of free service. I declined, seeking a refund and expressing my loss of confidence. My complaint was escalated. I had multiple follow-ups until May 7, when I was told only 3 months' refund was possible, implying I shared responsibility for the failure. I contested, citing my $230 investment in maintenance. Additionally, I was informed of a penalty for the remaining 16 months of my contract. The home security system's service was unsatisfactory.
