I re-injured my back on 11/14/2015 at home simply by sneezing and causing the affected area to become completely inflamed. I went to the hospital and got an MRI, the orthopedist who the hospital referred me to said the injury stems from the same injury as the work caused injury which happened on 5/13/2014. I received poor treatment from sedgwick from the...

Sedgwick Claims Management Services no response for claim inquiries.

2 young patients (brothers) were admitted to my facility after a tragic accident that took their grandmother's life. Both have Sedgewick CMS as their primary insurance coverage. Both brothers were admitted on 09/02/15 and are still being hospitalized. Claims were generated to Sedgewick CMS for services rendered and for the past 2 months, we were unable to get any status on the claims and if we are fortunate to speak to a claim representative, we got bounced around and later disconnected. Telephone messages were not returned nor emails. Would like very much to speak with someone responsible to obtain a satisfactory answer.

I've been dealing with them for almost 4 months and still don't have our issue resolved. We were rear ended by someone driving a Budget rented truck--Good luck--

I'm a medical provider. Have been trying to reach Sedgwick CMS so many times. Left massages, sent e-mails to the adjuster by the name Miley Jacquueline, but no response at all. Its absolute not acceptable and professional.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services case management issues

Sedgwick has been the most inconsiderate, unprofessional, and unorganized. I am the spouse of the injured worker that is currently under the case management of Sedgwick. Not only am I in the US Army but we are currently stationed in Hawaii. So anytime we have issues with this company we cannot get in contact with mostly anyone because of the 5-6 hour time difference. I do not know where to begin to complain about this company. My husband got hurt in Nov 2014, Sedgwick did not contact my husband until Dec 22, 2014. So not only was he not receiving services from them but he was also not getting Workman's comp from the time he got hurt until Jan 2015. He has been had 2-3 case managers and did not receive any information that they were leaving or were fired. He also was not assigned a nurse from the company until Oct 2015. He has had issues with not receiving checks or either his check amount not being correct. We have different numbers for different people that we have been calling for this entire year we also have several email addresses for different representatives because they just vanish without notification. We have been putting up with this feeble mindedness. This situation makes my husband feel like less of a man because he cannot work because of his injury to his bank and he is not receiving compensation from Sedgwick. He is constantly in a bad mood because he is not the bread winner in our family and because he cannot go to work and is in the house all day by himself. My next action will be legal through the Army because this is affecting my family worst than my husband being hurt. My husband is talking about hurting himself further just to make consistent money to pay bills. He is not even getting proper medical care. He was getting proper medical care through the Army. If this company doesn't get their business together I will definitely be pursuing other avenues such as legal.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services short term disability

I am a United Healthcare employee that has applied for short term due to a severe medical condition. My claim was denied due to my provider not sending enough supporting documents (which I understand). However a peer to peer was requested. I reached out to both doctors that I see, only to find out that one provider did not receive a call at all, and the other received only 1 call. My case worker said that it was documented there were several calls attempted and voice mails were left. After speaking to my doctors again, I found out ALL calls and messages are recorded and logged and there was nothing. Its apparent that there is a quota Sedgewick employees must meet so they FALSIFY notes and close out the claim. Now I have to appeal, and my doctor is aware of the situation as well. Has anyone had this issue yet? Any suggestions? I'm thinking at this point maybe a complaint with BBB and/or attorney or contacting a government regulator? Can anyone help? Thank you in advance.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services horrible service

This insurance company is literally the WORST! They ignore your calls and never really get back to your voicemails. They don't give you even the descent amount of money you deserve for the damages and most of the time they aren't even in the office! Even if you call and stay on the line on hold they will eventually hang up on you. They are the worst company I've ever dealt with they DO NOT care about your damages and will find any excuse to give you the least amount of money you deserve.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services dishonest

They do not tell you the proper procedures nor how to obtain workers compensation benefits. They get personally annoyed as if you were Prank calling them verses asking for help. They are dishonest and do not explain paperwork properly. They will do anything to get out of paying. Legally or illegally.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services stall tactics

Sedwick is just a 3rd party adjuster for Ace American who insures Gen Auto Parts. Ace is known for their stall tactics and apparently they passed those skills onto Sedwick. It took them over 2 weeks before an appraiser even looked at my car, which btw was totaled. Then they claim a new transmission is a wear & tear item, not a major repair. So I'm basically out 3/4 of the cost of the transmission I'd put in my car less then 45 days prior to the accident. Here is it, a month after the accident and I still have no check for the car. That little bit of interest they get for holding onto money makes a big difference when they do it to eveyone. Oh yeah, now my rental car is due back today, no check, no vehicle, and no satisfaction. Ace has been sued & lost countless times and fined countless times for stall tactics...Sedgwick is about to become next on the list for this behavior too. So be warned everyone...this company is one of the worst to deal with and I've been dealing with a workers comp case for 14 yrs that hasn't aggrevated me this much. Get a good lawyer ...if you deal with Sedgwick...you"ll need it!

Sedgwick Claims Management Services refusal to pay damages by sears auto

I purchased a lifetime alignment policy on my truck many years ago. Several times sears has screwed up alignments on this and other vehicles. This time a mechanic attempted to perform caster and camber adjustments without lifting the front end off the ground. He used a pipe on a wrench eventually bending over the adjustment tabs on the frame, sears turned it over to sedgwick and their claims adjuster / appraisers. They attempted to avoid paying by labelling my vehicle old and rusty. These ears have no history on dodge vehicles of rotting out or becoming weak. This was clear negligence by the mechanic who refused to follow proper protocol. Sears' reliance on a company who so blatantly
Attempts to ignore duty of care to resolve damage to citizens' property by the employees of companies they are paid to resolve
Damages for, is ludicrous; as is sedgwick's attempts to ignore obvious damage caused by employees of said companies. I am filing
A tort action including not only compensatory, but also punative and exemplary damages and can only urge others to utilize their civil rights to seek justice in the same manner. Also they should contact their legislators about attempts by these large corporations to hide from responsibility for negligence by their employees by using companies such as sedgwick who ignore the obvious to create a shield to liability for these coporations. Perhaps several large awards of damages against them in civil actions would halt these practices. [protected]

Sedgwick Claims Management Services denial of benefits

I was on Short Term Disability following an extensive GI surgery and needed to continue due to ongoing medical and psychiatric issues. My claim was denied in appeal, even though I have been approved for Social Security Disability. The people in the appeals department are rude and extremely unhelpful, and don't believe that they care.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services fmla

I have breast cancer. I am an RN and have worked for the same hospital for 18 years. I filled out all my Sedgwick paperwork and signed and gave them access to my medical record to verify that the information was consistent with the days off requested. They did not give me enough time to gather the information needed to put forth an honest and reliable request for my leave. In this order I had my diagnosis, my surgery, my recovery, my tumor send out, and then my oncology appt. The forms asked questions that could not be answered by anyone but the oncologist. Sedgwick said they could only give me an extension until 02.15. My oncology appt. was 02.24. Therefor my surgeon had to "guess" as to my treatment plan. Then they approved my 6 weeks of radiation therapy (of which I do not even plan on using any time off unless absolutely necessary) but they denied the actual date of my radiation MD appt. RIDICULOUS! I cannot believe the red tape required in such a stressful time in my life. I do not know how anyone can have the heart to even work for Sedgwick.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services poor business practice

It seems this company's services are based on avoidance and protecting the businesses they represent from having to take responsibility for wrong actions. I am writing this review so other consumers that have experienced dealing with this company will know that it is their practice to treat their claim clients by avoiding and declining complaints.

Unfortunately when dealing with a problem with a business that is using their services you are unaware that they are clients of this company until it is too late.

Be aware that short of using a lawyer or advocate they do little for the person's who file claims. As a consumer you must accept that you have been taken and move on, because you are helpless against these guys. The companies that use them have to take some responsibility for using a company like this is based on dodging responsibilityty to do the right thing.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services run around answers/ineffective/uncooperative

To whom it should concern:
After having to quit my job at Starbucks I have been having to play phone tag with Sedgiwck company for about a month in regards to my leave of absence that took place almost four months ago. The people who "helped" me over telephone were not friendly nor helpful. They then told me I had a deadline to get in paperwork which is in 6 days. I really don't understand why they didn't communicate this with me. Furthermore, they did not answer any of my questions and I called about 7 times for information. Every time I called they told me to call this person and then call that person and then another person. When I asked for an extension date on my deadline for the paperwork they denied it because they picked up the phone 4 times. Yet they didn't help me once. This company needs to re-consider how it treats its customers.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services workers comp

On December 8th, 2013 I had an accident at hertz. I was a cleaner, it was snowing, wet, icy, and very cold. Head management wanted us to keep the car wash open, even though we are supposed to clean the inside and leave it at that when its slushy outside. But they wanted us to keep cleaning the cars. Lucky for me, one of the lower manages wanted us to close the wash early, she even knew it wasn't safe. Well as I was closing the wash, I stepped wrong and slipped on the tire alignment bars and landed face first into the ground. By the time they found me I was already dropping into hypothermia, and my head felt like a meat cleaver was in it.

Needless to say, my memory was not much after that, but if you forget little things like forgetting fuel or the windows are not right or you forget something in the car. You get punished... well, I was doing great for a while, but I forgot fuel in on of the tanks earlier in 2014 and needless to say, it happens. But for some reason, they only went after me.

I had to get a lawyer to get the Insurance to do ANYTHING for me, but that seem to upset Hertz upper class, and for some reason the harassment got worse. Even the guys I worked so closely with noticed there targeting me. But as luck would have it, I forgot to fuel a car again, but this customer didn't complain, but we brought it back, fueled it up and they went on there way. But, they went ahead and fired me anyway, and I still get upset to this day how far gone my memory has gotten. Even when I am driving, I forget where I am going, miss my exits all the time, even simple things around the house. I just can't hold it together any more.

Now there insurance is giving me the run around, they are treating me like trash making me run in circles getting denied treatments even when they first approve it, and then denied it at the end. I would give anything to see those two pay for what they had done to me. It was not ALL my fault I forget things... such simple things too. Things that only take a quick min to fix, but they just fired me even knowing the problems I had. Well, it was my fault I didn't point it out to them in the first place. I was trying not to point fingers and blame, but at this point... they have put me so far into a hole, I am having such a hard getting back to my feet. I want them to know this can NOT happen to people. I work so hard picking up peoples FILTH and then they turn around and treat me even worse.

I want the management at this Hertz to PAY for what they have done.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services workman comp claim

I have been out on a claim since Jan 2012, I have been working all my life since I was 16 yrs old, I have been working ethically my whole life. I was injured on the job due to a back injury and after all these years I am now being treated like I am a bad employee. I have committed my life to 2 employers and take pride in the job I do everyday. All I want is to get fixed and back to work as I do not enjoy sitting at home everyday as I have a family I need to take care of as well as setting an example for them as I am he man of the house. Sedwgick has dragged their feet far too long to the point I could have already been back to work. They are not paying for my bills nor approving my surgeries so I am able to return to work, now it is getting to the point I am getting high anxiety and depression from this entire situation. If Sedwgick would get off here ### and help people like me then they would not be paying claims as long as they are as they could have approved and paid for the services so it did not drag on and on which is losing companies money and making peoples lives miserable mentally and financially . The CEO has been informed of the situation and here I still sit, I think my next stop should be the TODAY SHOW or any other network that will listen to me as I have so much time on my hands due to the lack of them doing nothing to get me back to work.

Sedgwick Claims Management Services workmans comp

I was injured on the job while employed as a CDL driver. My lower back and neck, twisted my spine. I have been dealing with Sedgwick, or i should say my Attorney has, since 2007 when they stopped all medical treatment then back billed all the doctors i had seen. after appearing in front of Washington State workmans comp judges a few time and winning each one, they, Sedgwick appealed each time and got it over turned on technicalities. My Attorney appealed the last time in which it went in front of Superior Court in Snohomish County Washington and we yet again won which finally re-opened my claim and Sedgwick paid the "back billed" doctor payments but not after it killed my credit :-( Now, here in November 2014, they are flying me up to Seattle yet again for another IME which I already know will not be for me. Because they did this in 07, ive been getting care through VA since and they got free care for me, until now. VA will be billing them for 7 years of treatment, pain meds and Doc Visits. Maybe had they treated me in the beginning, i wouldn't have a herniated disk and several bulging disks. What started as 4 disks (2 in lumbar and 2 in cervical) has turned into somewhere around 9 or 10 with problems. Thankfully, i have SSDI but that doesnt cover what im loosing each month and wont replace my Stock i had to sell to make ends meet. Im 50 yr old now and my livelyhood is gone. Its sad that they just dont work to fix you from the start and play deep pockets. The Stress, depression and anxiety ive obtained since then is driving me nuts. Until 2 years ago, my wife was pulling my 230 lb @ 6' 4" (her at 5 ft and 100 lb) butt out of bed and chairs when VA gave me a trapeze to enable me to get out of bed. How degrading is it when you have to roll out of bed to use the bathroom so as to not wake your wife every few hours... and the lack of sleep due to pain... oh boy. VA has had me on Methadone, Morphine and now im on a Fyntanal patch along with a few other pain meds. All i can say to anyone that has to deal with this company is, Lawyer Up!

Sedgwick Claims Management Services workmans comp

Watch out for Sedgwick, they are cruel people anyone that they work for they will do anything to protect them and screw you in the process. So sad I thought I was apart of such a great company but as soon as you are hurt they turn on you. Very long story short I begged to have a M RI, finally after all most 3 weeks I finally got approved for one for a possible tear in my shoulder, due to over working it. The Dr. Called me and said there is no tear and it should feel better soon. 3 to 6 weeks. Told to go back to work and do what I can. 2 days later the day I was to start physical therapy I was turned down for workmans comp. At that point I was behind on my truck payment and pushed myself to go back to work told myself I am fine. Worked one full weekend everything started all over again. Pain in my shoulder and neck burning in my arm and numbness in my thumb and index finger. I went to HR. And said I needed a letter saying I got turned down for workmans comp so I am able to go to my own Dr. She told me I have to call my case manager for workmans comp and get the letter myself. Also she told me after working at Lowes with the same hrs. For over a year now that I have to have open availability on the weekends or they will have to let me go. I walked out of there crying and not sure what to do. Anyway my Dr. Requested all of my recorders from the workmans comp Dr. And to my surprise he didn't tell me everything that was on my report. My Dr. Said my MRI shows a bone spur that could be pressing on my nerve and that could me the numbness in my fingers. Also if it doesn't get better I might need to have surgery to fix it and shave it down. I was shocked❗️One of the reasons for a bone spur is over working the shoulder I am a cashier I work my shoulder all the time. Also I found out a bone spur that goes untreated go lead to nerve damage or a full tear in the rotator cuff. I know they work for Lowes but that was my MRI I have rights too.

Terri Smith is a very rude supervisor. I needed help with my disability claim and she was rude and would not listen to me. Sedgwick Claims Management Services auto liability claim

A commercial bus driver crushed my car. It was one of those double-decker busses that take riders to D.C. and New York for pretty cheap. It was pure negligence on the bus driver's part. I have already been to court as witness to find the bus driver guilty of
an improper lane change. It has been 29 days since I lost my car. The bus driver provided her insurance listed as Greenwich Insurance on the exchange of crash information report that both drivers involved received. It took many phone calls just to get the right state for the Sedgwick insurance that would eventually be the only people I can talk to for help in this matter. Initially they even wouldn't tell me what car rental company they use. So now that 29 days have passed, it's not surprising to know that Sedgwick CMS has not gotten the police report yet. They have another party that handles the acquiring of the police report. Or so they say. The claims agent gave the number of the police report they were waiting for, but when I called the police department, it was in fact the same number found on my exchange of crash information report. Not the one they had given me. So I am waiting and being very polite when I talk to them, but I feel that I am losing and things will only get worse. Get hit by somebody else, it's their fault, and then their insurance company uses every tactic in the book to try and steal from you. I have contacted the Attorney General for my state following a recommendation I found on one of the numerous complaints listed against Sedgwick CMS. Wish me good luck.

I am dealing with a situation similar to yours. I was hit by a school bus last year around this time, and sad to say I'm still dealing with Sedgwick insurance company. When the accident first happend it took them over a month for me to get a car rental. I tried and tried and tried to contact them myself, but I had no luck in that area. So, I had to get in contact with a lawyer for them to contact this insurance company. Mr. Willis from the Sedgwick insurance company is one of the worst to work with. He lies and continue to lie and stall this settlement. It's so frustrating having to deal with such a horrible company that suppose to look out for the needstate of people

Sedgwick Claims Management Services wrongly denied claim

I found there are a lot of complains and even lawsuits against Sedgwick CMS. Just wanted to express and share my own experience with Sedgwick. They seem not responsive during the claim period, not able to contact the case owner directly via phone or email and I have to call 800 # to go through the options everytime just to talk to someone. After about two weeks, got an email the case is being denied. They seem not sensitive or really care about people too.

When we already have health issues to face with, the last thing we need to deal with company like Sedgwick. May I ask if anyone has the similar experience with Sedgwick that is not very responsive, don’t really seem know what they are doing and denied legitimate claims? Or, if they have better “performance” for their own benefits if to deny more claims?

If Sedgwock denied claims and we have to go back to work. If health situation gets worse or something happens to us, if we have the right to sue Sedgwick? Or if is it worth it to fight with Sedgwick when health is the priority. But, we need to stand up against unethical company to protect others too.

I worked for Lowe's who uses Sedgewick to handle there work comp claims as they are self insured. After asking for all kinds of information that had nothing to do with my injury or claim, they refused to pay for the medication the doctor ordered. About two weeks after the injury I received an email from the claims examiner who had cut and pasted a section of my MRI report into the email saying my claim was denied. She stated this was because I had a pre existing condition / injury according to the MRI. This was completely untrue as the part of the MRI she was quoting had nothing to due with what and where my injury was. She had no idea how to read an MRI report yet she denied my claim. Also there is no pre existing in work comp if you injure or re injure something while working for a new employer. I tried contacting the claims person by email and phone but she would not respond to me nor would she respond to my request for an appeal or review by a medical doctor. I then tried contacting her supervisor who also refused to respond to me. They cut off treatment I was having and refused to cover refills on meds ordered by my doctor. My doctor went so far as to write a letter to Sedgewick and tell them they were not reading the MRI results correctly and that there denial was incorrect. She also got no response. I found a law firm who specializes in this area of insurance company bad faith claims. They took my case immediately on retainer so it cost me nothing up front. They have sued Sedgwick and the parent insurance company along with Lowe's several times for the same type of case and won. My advise to anyone fighting with Sedgwick is to Google Doyle & Raizner law firm. Sedgwick is like the company in the movie the Rainmaker, they never pay out. Just deny, deny, deny. I agreee with the comment above Lawyer up.

I have been taken out of work since 7/11/14. Sedgwick has denied my claim due to "not enough medical evidence". I am going to see my PCP as well as 2 specialists. All have submitted detailed medical records for me. This is not the first time I have been denied. I am a single mother with 2 small children. I have no income. My cell phone has been turned off, car repossessed and I have been served a demand letter for rent. I am to avoid all stress. HA HA How can I do that when I can't provide for my family and face homelessness? As of today, my doctors are not sure when I can return to work. I was also advised today that my FMLA is exhausted and we need to find an "accommodation" so I can keep my position.
