Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co: Faulty Bracelet and Poor Customer Service
I recently had an unfortunate experience with Selfridges & Co that has left me feeling extremely disappointed. I purchased a beautiful bracelet from their website for $470, but unfortunately, it broke in five different places within just a few months of wearing it.
Naturally, I contacted Selfridges & Co to see if they would be willing to replace or refund the faulty merchandise. However, instead of offering a solution, they asked me to provide pictures and gave me the run-around for weeks. I was shocked and disappointed that they would not take responsibility for the faulty item.
To make matters worse, when I asked for contact information for a supervisor to pursue the issue further, they refused to provide it. I cannot believe that a company with such a good reputation would treat a new customer in this way over just $470.
I am now taking all necessary action to pursue this issue further on my own, but I would strongly advise others not to put themselves at risk by shopping at Selfridges & Co. It is truly a shame that they would ruin their reputation and disgust a new customer over such a small amount of money.
Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co: Incorrect Product and Poor Customer Service
I have to say, my experience with Selfridges & Co was not a good one. I wouldn't even give them one star, but unfortunately, that's the lowest rating I could give.
I ordered a pair of sandals from their website and paid for them, only to receive a completely different product. It turns out that the sandals I ordered were out of stock, but Selfridges still accepted my order and charged me for them.
I was pretty upset about this, and I had to go through the hassle of returning the product that I didn't even order to the post office before I could get a refund. It was a frustrating experience, to say the least.
I really don't think Selfridges should have accepted my order or charged me for the product if they knew it was out of stock. It's just not good business practice.
I'm not sure if I'll ever shop with them again, to be honest. I've lost confidence in this company and their ability to provide good customer service. I wish I had read the reviews before placing my order.
Overall, I would not recommend Selfridges & Co based on my experience. It's a shame, because I've heard good things about them in the past, but my personal experience was not a positive one.
Unfair Refund Practices: My Experience with Selfridges & Co
Selfridges & Co is a website that I recently purchased from and I have to say, I was not impressed with their online practices. It seems that they frequently falsely accuse customers of damaging products in order to avoid giving refunds. I wish I had looked online before making my purchase.
I bought four pairs of shoes from Selfridges, but ended up only trying on two of them. Unfortunately, both pairs were too big for me, so I returned them within 24 hours. However, when I received an email from Selfridges, they claimed that all four pairs of shoes were damaged and unsaleable. This was impossible, as I had only tried on two pairs and had not damaged them in any way.
After numerous email exchanges with Selfridges, they finally agreed that they had misjudged three pairs of shoes and would refund me for them. However, I am still fighting with them about the fourth pair. It is frustrating to have to deal with false accusations and have to fight for a refund that I am entitled to.
I can only imagine what would have happened if I had just accepted their false accusations and not fought for my refund. It is important for customers to be aware of these insufferable experiences and to avoid them if possible. I hope that my review helps someone else avoid the same issues that I had with Selfridges & Co.
Disappointing Customer Service and Online System at Selfridges & Co
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with the customer service at Selfridges & Co. I ordered their Selfridge + Global delivery service, but it just didn't work. I gave them a call and they said they'd call me back, but they never did. (Typical bad service, am I right?) So, I had to call them more than 10 times and no one could solve the problem. Some of the staff even blamed my browser or laptop! Can you believe it?
On top of that, I ordered some products online and they charged me extra every time. I had to chase them to refund the money, which was a real hassle. Their online system is just horrible and I wouldn't trust it again. Plus, the delivery time is never on time.
But the real kicker was when I ordered two bottles of wine for my friend's birthday. The status said "Delivered," but when she went to check, one of the bottles was outside her front door and the other was in her rubbish bin because the wine bottle was broken! If she hadn't noticed, they would have just hidden them away.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend Selfridges & Co. Their customer service is just not up to par and their online system is a mess. Plus, you can't even trust them to deliver your items properly. Save yourself the trouble and shop somewhere else.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience at Selfridges & Co: Goods Returned and No Resolution Provided
I recently visited Selfridges & Co while on a trip to the UK from the US. I was excited to make some purchases and take advantage of their tax-free shipping option. However, when my items arrived, I was disappointed to find that they had not provided the necessary information for customs. This caused my goods to be returned to Selfridges.
I immediately contacted their customer service team to try and resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide any assistance and I was left to deal with the problem on my own. I even provided clear details of the situation, but received very little response and no resolution.
As a result, I had to contact my credit card company to contest the charge. This was a frustrating and time-consuming process that could have been avoided if Selfridges had provided better customer service.
What's even more disappointing is that Selfridges used to be my favorite store and I have made many purchases there over the years. However, this experience has left me feeling let down and frustrated. I don't think I will be shopping there again in the future.
To add insult to injury, Selfridges offered me a resolution of a £50 store credit. This was not a satisfactory solution, as I had already spent days trying to fix the issue and was left with nothing to show for it. They didn't even try to get the goods to me or offer a refund.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Selfridges & Co. Their lack of customer service and inability to resolve the issue has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope they can improve their processes and provide better service to their customers in the future.
Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co: Misleading Website and Poor Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Selfridges & Co that left me feeling quite disappointed. I had placed an order for some items on their website, and two days later, I received an email informing me that one of the items was out of stock. Naturally, I was confused because the item was still listed as available for purchase on the website. I decided to call customer service the very next morning to get some clarification.
The lady on the phone informed me that the item was indeed out of stock at the warehouse, but it was still showing up on the website due to a technical glitch. She suggested that I could try purchasing the item again, but I would still receive the same out-of-stock notification days later. I was quite taken aback by this response. Displaying goods that are not available for sale is a misleading and fraudulent practice that should not be tolerated.
To make matters worse, the lady on the phone did not consult with me on what to do with the remaining items in my order. Instead, she informed me that they were already on their way to be dispatched. I was extremely unhappy with this level of service and expressed my dissatisfaction to her. I even went as far as to say that I was willing to cancel my entire order of items that I really wanted. I would rather take my business elsewhere to a company that has a functioning website and online stock system, and that does not engage in deceptive practices.
It has now been a week, and Selfridges is still holding on to my money despite the unavailability of goods. This is unacceptable, and I hope that they will rectify this situation soon. Overall, my experience with Selfridges & Co has been quite disappointing, and I would not recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy online retailer.
Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co: No Refund for Returned Item
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Selfridges & Co. I mean, they've got some pretty sweet deals and some top-notch designers, but let me tell you, if you're expecting to get a refund for an item that doesn't fit, you might as well forget about it. I returned my order over a month ago and I still haven't seen a dime. When I finally reached out to them to ask about it, they had no idea what happened to my return!
Now, I returned the item with DHL, just like I always do when I'm returning something I bought from a European website. The DHL employee picked up the package in person, just like they always do, but they didn't give me a receipt. I never really thought much of it, since I've never had any issues with their service before. So, when I provided Selfridges with the return number from my email confirmation, I figured everything would be fine. But nope! Apparently, Selfridges has no record of my return and they're not going to give me a refund. I mean, come on! You'd think they'd at least contact DHL and try to figure out what happened, right? But nope, they just told me they don't know and that's that.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend shopping at Selfridges to anyone. I'd rather pay a little extra and know that I can trust the company I'm buying from.
Terrible Customer Service and Return Experience with Selfridges & Co - Still No Refund After a Month
I gotta say, my experience with Selfridges & Co has been a real bummer. I mean, I returned an item over a month ago and still haven't gotten my refund. Can you believe that?
First off, the whole collection process was a real headache. FedEx was supposed to come pick up the item, but they didn't show up when they said they would. So I had to ask for another label and drop it off at a FedEx station myself. Not exactly what I had in mind when I ordered from Selfridges.
Anyway, I waited and waited for my refund to come through, but nothing happened. So I tried to chat with someone online and even sent an email, but all I got was a response saying it would take 14 days to process. But here's the thing - I had already returned the item 14 days prior and still hadn't heard anything.
So I tried to chat again and explain my situation, but the assistant just promised to solve it within 24 hours and then...nothing. I mean, come on! I tried to chat again and again, but the chat would just end automatically or they would say they'd give me an update and then never follow through.
It's been a whole month now and I still haven't seen any progress on my refund. And let me tell you, I've spent a lot of time chatting with their customer service - five chats, each lasting five hours. That's a lot of wasted time.
All in all, I have to say that Selfridges & Co has the worst customer service and return experience I've ever had. I returned the item, but still no refund. It's a real shame, because I was excited to shop with them, but now I don't think I'll be back.
Terrible Customer Service: My Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co
I had a really bad experience with Selfridges & Co. I ordered three tablets that cost me almost ?900, but the next day I got an email saying that my order was cancelled because I didn't pass the security checks. The price of each tablet also went up from ?297 to ?349, which was really frustrating. I called customer service to find out what happened, and they told me that Samsung cancelled my order, not Selfridges. They said they would contact Samsung to find out why, but they never got back to me.
After 24 hours, I called customer service again and spoke to someone else. They told me a completely different story and said that my order was cancelled because it didn't pass the security check. They didn't give me any reason why it failed, and they wouldn't honor the original price. I felt ignored and lied to, and I regretted not reading the negative reviews before placing my order.
The worst part is that the staff at Chicken Cottage have better customer service skills than Selfridges & Co. I think it's important to vote with your wallets and buy from somewhere else because they simply don't care about their customers. I hope this review helps others avoid the same mistake I made.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Selfridges & Co: Missing Refund and Poor Policies
I recently had an experience with Selfridges & Co that left me feeling ripped off and disappointed. I had been eyeing a pair of shoes for a long time and finally saved up enough money to purchase them. When they arrived, I was disappointed to find that they didn't fit me properly and I needed to return them.
Unfortunately, when I went to exchange them for a different size, I found out that they were all sold out. So, I had to return the shoes for a refund. That's when things started to go downhill. I was shortchanged $338.60, which was the amount I paid for duties charges.
I reached out to their customer service team to inquire about the missing money, but they refused to refund it to me. This was shocking to me, as I've never had this happen with any other overseas retailer before. I thought that Selfridges, being a well-known department store, would have better customer service than this.
To make matters worse, I found out that only the "owner" of the goods (which in this case is Selfridges) can claim a refund for the taxes and duties. I was unable to claim it myself, which left me feeling even more frustrated and robbed.
$338 is a lot of money for me, especially during COVID when finances are tight. I feel like I was taken advantage of and treated unfairly. I also paid for a Selfridges+ membership, which cost me $70, and now I feel like that money was wasted.
Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Selfridges & Co. I will never purchase from them again and would caution others to be wary of their customer service policies. It's a shame because I had high hopes for this department store, but they let me down in a big way.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Selfridges & Co
I recently had an experience with Selfridges & Co (selfridges.co.uk) that left me feeling pretty disappointed. I had placed an order with them, but unfortunately, it didn't arrive as expected. After trying to get in touch with their customer service team multiple times, I was left feeling frustrated and like my time had been wasted.
It's a shame, really, because Selfridges & Co is known for selling high-end items. You would think that a store like this would prioritize their customers and provide top-notch customer service. But unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.
As someone who is used to the great customer service provided by companies like Nordstrom and Amazon.com, I was surprised by the lack of care and attention I received from Selfridges & Co. It's not something I'm used to, and it left a bad taste in my mouth.
I wish I had read the reviews on Trustpilot before placing my order. With a rating of only 1.8 out of 5 and over 1,400 reviews, it's clear that I'm not the only one who has had a negative experience with this company.
Overall, I would caution anyone considering shopping with Selfridges & Co to think twice. While they may sell high-end items, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co: Wrong Item and Delayed Refund
I gotta say, I wish I had checked out this site before I went ahead and ordered from Selfridges & Co. I was pretty disappointed when they sent me the wrong item - it felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me. The product they sent me looked nothing like the one in the picture on their site. I got in touch with them right away to try and return it, and they did receive it back safely. But now I'm just waiting and waiting for my full refund, which includes import tax of $216.48 and delivery fees of $45. I have no idea how long it's going to take for them to get back to me. I'm just hoping that there won't be any major drama with them.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Selfridges & Co
Got my girlfriend a pair of boots from Selfridges & Co for Christmas. She's worn them about 5 times and one of the metal hoops where the laces go through snapped. I called Selfridges to sort out an exchange, which should be easy, but because I bought them online, they need to inspect the product. So now my girlfriend has to go without her boots for who knows how long, while I've already paid for them. Not really fair, is it? I don't think I'll be shopping with them again.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Selfridges & Co: A Review
I recently had a couple of experiences with Selfridges & Co that left me feeling quite surprised and disappointed. I couldn't believe that such a large chain could have such bad customer service. Unfortunately, this has happened to me twice now.
The first time was when I ordered a package that never arrived. Since it was an urgent shipment, I contacted customer service to find out what was going on. However, I was passed around between 10 different representatives who all claimed to be checking on the status of my package. After four days of waiting, I still had no answer as to why my shipment never arrived. Instead, they offered me a £10 voucher as compensation. I was left feeling frustrated and confused.
The second time was when I received a damaged item. I contacted customer service again, hoping for a better experience this time. However, I was met with the same lack of helpfulness and was once again passed around between representatives. It took over a week to finally get a resolution, and even then, it was not a satisfactory one.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experiences with Selfridges & Co. While their website may be easy to navigate and their products may be of good quality, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I hope that they can improve in this area in the future, as it would make shopping with them a much more enjoyable experience.
Disappointing Service from Selfridges & Co: Neom Oil Diffuser Order Cancelled Without Explanation
So, I ordered a neom oil diffuser with oils from Selfridges & Co on the 22nd of November. They took the payment from my card in full at the time. However, by the 3rd of December, my oil diffuser had been cancelled by Selfridges with no explanation. The oils had already been dispatched, but what good are they without the diffuser? I was promised a call back by the manager to check stock availability, but that never happened. I was really hoping to give this as a Christmas present to my wife, but now she will be disappointed. I pay ?40 a year for this account, and I have never seen such an incompetent level of service. It's really frustrating when you're trying to do something nice for someone and it all falls apart because of someone else's mistake. I hope Selfridges & Co can improve their service in the future, because this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Disappointed and Frustrated: My Negative Experience with Selfridges & Co
I recently made a purchase from Selfridges & Co, specifically a Bvlgari bag that cost me a whopping 3500 dollars. I was excited to receive my purchase, but upon opening the package, I immediately noticed that the bag was fake and defective. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated, so I decided to reach out to their customer service team via email.
To their credit, they responded quickly and asked me to return the bag in order to receive a refund. I followed their instructions and returned the bag promptly. However, it has now been over a month and I have yet to receive my refund. I have received emails from them confirming that they have received the bag and are planning to return the amount, but they have since stopped responding to my emails.
After reading other reviews, I have come to the realization that I was foolish to purchase from Selfridges & Co. It seems that this is a common strategy for them to take advantage of innocent customers and take their money. I am extremely disappointed and will never shop with them again.
Overall, my experience with Selfridges & Co has been extremely negative and I would not recommend them to anyone. Their lack of customer service and apparent disregard for their customers is unacceptable.
Terrible Experience with Selfridges & Co.: Order Canceled, Refund Delayed, No Customer Service Response
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Selfridges & Co. I placed an order on the 24th of October and was supposed to receive it on the 28th. But then, on the 27th, I got an email saying that they didn't have enough stock and had to cancel my order. They said they'd refund me within 3-5 days.
Well, it's been longer than that and I still haven't gotten my money back. I talked to my bank and they said they can't do anything because the money has already left my account.
I've tried calling Selfridges' Customer Service team five times and sent them five emails, but they haven't responded to any of them. It's frustrating because this whole thing shouldn't have happened in the first place. They shouldn't have taken my money if they didn't have the product.
It's disappointing that Selfridges isn't taking any responsibility for this and isn't doing anything to help me get my money back. It's just a terrible situation all around.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Selfridges & Co
So, I got these Selfridges vouchers that I could only use online. I was pretty excited to use them during the sale. But when I checked out the website, I noticed that some of the brands that were on sale on their own websites and in other stores weren't on sale on Selfridges online. I was pretty bummed out about it, so I decided to report it to them. They told me that they were aware of the issue, but nothing happened. So, I decided to remind them again, but still nothing happened.
After a while, I noticed that they removed the sale from the website altogether! I was so disappointed. I mean, what kind of customer service is that? It's the worst I've seen in a long time. I really expected more from Selfridges & Co.
Disappointing Customer Service: Selfridges & Co Fails to Refund Shipping Costs
So, I bought this coat from Selfridges & Co website in October 2015. I was so excited to receive it, but when it arrived, it was the wrong item. I was so disappointed, but I thought it was just a mistake. I contacted their customer service and they told me that the coat I wanted was out of stock, so they sent me a different one. I was not happy about it, but I decided to return it and get my money back.
I sent the coat back to them and they promised to refund me for the coat and the shipping. I got my refund for the coat, but I am still waiting for my shipping refund. It's been almost a year now, and they keep telling me that they are trying to refund me, but it's not going through. I have sent them so many emails with the receipt, but they just keep stalling me. I even called them, but they were not helpful at all.
I am so frustrated with Selfridges & Co. They are not keeping their promise and they are not answering my emails anymore. I spent $45 US on shipping and I deserve to get my money back. I don't know what else to do. I hope they will read this review and finally give me my refund.
Disappointing Experience with Selfridges & Co: Refund Issue and Poor Customer Service
I really should have read the reviews before I placed my order with Selfridges & Co. It was my first time ordering from their website, and I even paid for the yearly plus delivery service. I ordered two All Saints shirts in medium size, as I already had one in that size that fit me well. However, when I received the shirts, they seemed a bit too large for me. I decided to return both of them without even wearing them.
To my disappointment, I only received a refund for one of the shirts. Selfridges is refusing to refund the other shirt, claiming that it has been worn. I am certain that I never wore it, and I am now in the process of raising a resolution with PayPal, which I used to pay for my order.
I must say that this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I doubt that I will be ordering from Selfridges again. It's a shame that they don't seem to value their customers, as this could ultimately lead to their downfall. I hope that they learn from their mistakes before it's too late.
