Stay away from silver rock and caravan RUN. RUN. RUN. STAY AWAY
Paid $36000 for truck from carvana. Showed up with 4 shot tires. Multiple calls to both Carvana and silver rock companies. They pawn it off on each other. Spent about 15 hours in my first 7 days trying to get tires. Took to there repair shop and was denied even after repair shop said they were unsafe. Repair shop called them with me at there shop. We were on phone for 3 hours. They agreed to replace two of them that had nails in them. They are making repair shop install two mismatched tires. Repair shop told him this would be unsafe as well. After 3 hours silver rock literally hung up on repair shop when they were trying to explain this to them. They make there decisions off pictures. I could go on and on . Bottom line just stay away. Look up google reviews and google both companies to read all the issues. They will probably be bankrupt soon. Carvana owns silver rock so if they go bankrupt the customer is screw. I’m sure courts will make them warranty for the 100 days but please research and make a wise decision before you sign up with either company. One other thing is go to Carvana website and look up any vehicle. Than go to there 150 point inspection. Scroll down and see what was repaired. 95% will have nothing done except maybe a wiper blade. Look up a vehicle with 70000 miles and like a older one say like 2016. Can almost guarantee it has nothing replaced. So ask your self if every car they sell has nothing wrong with it. They are just buying from auctions, cleaning them and marking the scratches and scuffs on interior. Nothing else is fixed on there 150 inspections. Look for yourself and tell me I’m wrong. The pictures I put up are with vehicle still on delivery truck. Rims still have brake dust on them. Truck was dirty under door lines. Tires have no thread left. I didn’t even [censored] much about the detail but tires are a issue and I was denied.
Recommendation: Run run run run run. 100% worst warranty company
These two companies are going to kill people. They don’t care about safety and only making money. Do your self a favor and go to a dealership.
20K 18 months still no car
I purchased a vehicle from Carvana in June 2022 and I paid $20,000 for a 2013, Audi A4 it lasted until August 13, 2022, when it had a catastrophic engine failure I took the vehicle to the mechanic for which the representative on the phone told me to take it to the only people that would come and get it out where it broke down after eight hours of waiting for their tow truck this auto shop came and picked up my car and the car is sitting there as of this day it has been 18 months I'm out $20,000 and I got to drive the car for two months so that's $10,000 a month I paid for a car that I still do not have not only is the car lost half its value or more and now it has a used engine in it that supposedly only has 70,000 miles with no documentation Silver rock and Carvana stole $20k from me.
Recommendation: Don't Believe the lies do not buy a car from Carvana the warranty company is just as bad Silverock
Silver Rock warranty RUN!
I purchase a car from Drive Time in Midlothian Illinois and They utilized Silver Rocks Warranty Company. I purchased this car at the end of October of 2023 and had to contact SilverRock’s on 11/6/2023. I heard some knocking coming from the vehicle, so I contacted Silver Rocks on 11/6/2023 and took the car into one of their authorized repair shops on 11/7/2023 at 9:30 am. I did not buy a car “as is.” From Drive Time but that’s exactly what they sold me. A piece of garbage buyer beware. The car requires so many repairs it’s ridiculous. The first repair shop could not do all the repairs that were needed so I contacted another repair shop that was in Silver Rocks network, and they picked the car up and had the car in their shop by 12 noon. Since then, I have been going back and forth with Silver Rocks everyday about the repairs on the car. The first repair shop told Silver Rocks the exact same thing that the second repair shop said, regarding the issues with the car. Silver Rock is refusing to honor their warranty because they will not approve the repairs. I have called them every day since 11/7/2023 and today 11/16/2023. I spoke with silver rocks twice today and each time I speak to someone I get a different story, another liar on the phone and the love to put you on hold which is meant to stall especially when you ask for a supervisor. SilverRock tried to tell me that they are waiting for the repair shop to send pictures and reports. LIARS. The car repair shop already did this several days ago. I got the same report and pictures in the report that Silver Rocks did. They will not authorize the repairs on this vehicle that I have to pay for. And the vehicle is still under warranty. I am glad I caught this in time. These unprofessional thieves need to be jailed for their business practices. Drive Time and Silver Rocks is probably a billion-dollar company. Shame on Silver Rocks. You stay up by keeping your feet on the backs of people like me. This is without doubt in my opinion the worst warranty company ever! So, be aware when you purchase a car from a dealership and if you see a warranty that says Silver Rocks leave that car right that and keep looking. This has been the worst experience ever. The shop cannot begin the repairs and Silver Rocks want honor their own warranty Shameful. I will keep calling and I will be posting up ever review I can. It’s the TRUTH based on MY EXPERIENCE with SILVER ROCKS. And I can prove it!
Recommendation: Don't Buy a Car that use Silver Rock Warranty
SILVER ROCKS IS NOT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE A GOOD COMPANY. THEY ARE THE WORST! buyers need to be aware.
I picked a car up from Carvana after their delivery truck broke down and failed delivery
I picked a car up from Carvana after their delivery truck broke down and failed delivery. On the way home, I realized the air conditioning didn't work. It's August. I've got a 7 day test period with a guarantee. A partial manufacturer drive train warranty, a 100 day warranty with Carvana and Silver Rock, AND a 36 month 40,000 mile additional warranty purchased by me with Silver Rock. Warrantied up the wazoo. No worries. The air conditioning will obviously get fixed. No. I took the car to a preferred service provider in less than 24 hrs. Silver Rock refused it. The car has 15,000 miles on it. I had driven it less than 15 miles at this point. I'm covered by every warranty known to man, and technically, the car isn't even mine yet. It's still under Carvana. So, according to Silver Rock, someone at Carvana put the mileage in as 40,000 when entering it in stock, therefore, by their calculations, I had overstepped my 400 mile Carvana test by 39,985 miles in 21 hrs? I have made air travel obsolete with this little 4 banger? Seriously? Use half a brain people. So, customer service and Carvana advocates get involved. The mileage is fixed in Silver Rock's system. They will cover. I'm now in day 3 of my test period, no air conditioning. Can't drive. Too hot. When contacted by customer service, Silver Rock refused again, for no reason except they don't want to pay. Even IF I had driven over the 400 miles, which I obviously hadn't, I'm still covered by the 100 day warranty, AND the $4000 36 month, 40,000 mile warranty I was purchasing in addition. WTF, right? So, my suggestion.. don't buy from Carvana. They screwed up from the get go both with mileage AND their 150 point inspection that included not catching a faulty air conditioning system. Don't buy your warranty through Silver Rock. They're crooks. If they won't cover their own major contract client (Carvana) then do you really think they're going to honor a contract with a peon like you? Not a chance. Do yourself a favor and don't deal with either until Carvana stops using Silver Rock warranties.
I hope people are looking and reading because I have never purchased a car from a dealership like this, but I was having issues with my credit. I always purchased from CarMax or some other dealership with an excellent reputation. I am looking into how you can bring a lawsuit against them. Because I said the same thing. I did noy buy a car "as is". No way, but I am thinking they are a decent company wrong. A class action lawsuit may be the best way to handle this issue because I only had the vehicle for about 6 days. When I heard knocking noise, and it is also the transmission with a host of other issues. These cars look good on the outside, but they are garbage. I am looking into this as a legal matter. This must be unethical. I got the car at the end of October, and it was in the shop on 11/7/2023 and it is still there. SilverRock's is refusing to honor the warranty. I am looking into this matter from a legal aspect, but I also think a class action lawsuit maybe warranted.
If I could give zero stars I would. This company is trash, garbage and don't know one thing about the word SAFETY that they so loosley throw around since Ive purchased this lemon of a car from drivetime. I purchased this vehicle on 3/21. Around April 7 is when I started to experience brake issues. Not one sound prior to that. I took it to Pep boys because my brakes were making noise, squeaking whenever I applied my brakes. Pep boys says they look although the left rotor looks glazed not quiet wear and tear but it could be replaced. Silverrock denied claim. Ok, Im still driving , car still making noise. I take it to my second mechanic Firestone on 4/14, They clearly see something wrong with the brakes and rotors front and back. Took pictures sent to silverrock, Silverrock denies the claim again and says to me when I call that squeaking noise and with the pictures sent brakes and rotors look new but noise is NOT a safety issue. But it is when you take your brakes to a mechanic to have them changed because its clearly a problem that is starting. Then firestone charges me $200 because when the claim was called in to them thats what was told. But I was still within my 30 days, when it should have been 0. I take the car to a third mechanic and he clearly sees an issue and to no avail Silverrock denies the claim again. My car is now making more noise. This company needs to be shut down or management needs to changed or something. You cant keep denying claims and masking the problem because once an accident happens to me with my kids in that car that I transport to and from daycare every day, If Im alive and able from that accident I will be filing a lawsuit.
This is the worst car warranty place ever! Carvana isnt any better! I traded a perfectly 2018 Camaro for a crappy 2014 2door Range Rover sport. I havent even drove it a month straight, before it start giving me problems. Fast forward, So I take it to Range Rover to see what the problem is, come to find out, it has a bad transmission. My car was gone for almost two months because SilverRock wants to be cheap, and get me a used transmission with more miles on it than what I had. And it still doesnt work! Its doing the same thing. Not to mention, they only reimbursed me $400.00 bucks for my rental when I paid $1,400 Wouldnt allow me to speak to a manager that could help me. Im so disappointed! Whats the point of a warranty, if I cant use it properly. I wish I could give them zero stars!
I purchased a 2014 Santa Fe from Carvana on December 6, and opted for an extended warranty through Silver Rock. Unfortunately, Carvana sold me a defective vehicle. The issues began on December 23, just after Carvana's warranty expired, when my car started overheating. The first repair shop was unable to diagnose the problem, so I took the vehicle to the dealership's service department. They informed me that I needed a new engine. Thankfully, Silver Rock covered all the costs, which was a relief.
However, after waiting several months for the new engine, the repair shop discovered a faulty part upon installation and had to return it for a replacement. It seems they source used engines, likely from damaged vehicles, and refurbish them. As a result, I was without a car for seven months, all the while continuing to make payments on a vehicle I had barely driven since its purchase.
I was thrilled to finally have my car back, but my excitement was short-lived. Six months later, the engine began experiencing issues again. The dealership's service department confirmed it was another faulty engine. I am now awaiting my third engine replacement, which means the car will be in the shop for a few more months until the next used engine arrives.
My frustration with Silver Rock is growing because they continue to supply unreliable used engines that seem to last only until the one-year warranty expires, if that. As I approach the end of my warranty with Silver Rock, I am concerned about being left with an inoperable car. Despite the shop management's advice to opt for a rebuilt engine that would last longer, Silver Rock has not agreed to this solution. Instead, they apply quick fixes rather than addressing the root of the issue.
I am facing the possibility that my Silver Rock warranty will run out while my car is still in the shop, leaving me with yet another defective engine. I am disheartened to be making payments on a car that I've had for less than two years, with only seven months of actual driving time, and now potentially stuck with a non-functioning vehicle and an engine prone to failure. My disappointment in Silver Rock is profound; they seem to prefer temporary patches over genuine repairs.
My wife and I purchased a 2013 Edge from Drivetime and within the 30 day timeline we heard some rattling and felt a misfire with the transmission (we would soon learn that information). We took it to Midas and they contacted Silver-Rock which is the warranty company. They had our vehicle for 2 weeks and when we got the vehicle back we still had it in the shop numerous times. We took it in and they replaced a broken fan in the air conditioner which was pre-existing we found out from the mechanic that Drivetime had to have known about and after spending a significant amount of money we got the car back. Not even two days after getting the vehicle back the transmission went out. We took it back to Midas and they said that initially they recommended to Silver-Rock that it needed to be replaced and the representative said just 'band-aid' the vehicle. That is why it was initially not taken care of. We have a mechanic that is willing to relay the information to whomever is necessary as well.
I bought a car through dtivetime which broke down under a month so it was covered thtough a limited warrantee throufh silverrock a company
I bought a car through dtivetime which broke down under a month so it was covered thtough a limited warrantee throufh silverrock a company partnered with drivetime. They covered for the repairs but, I still had to pay $157 I'm assuming is for a second diagnostic fee which was requested to me by sipverrock because the first place I brought my car to was one of the repair facilities that silverrock approved was *** It seems like the majority of the repair facilities I could use were mainly tire places which was one first issue. I was told I needed a brand new engine. I was advised to bring it to a dealership for a more expert opinion on my specific car *** thats where luckily a mechanic was nice enough to negotiate with silverrock to approve the work he needed to be done so he said and I'm grateful because I had been going on 3 weeks of rideshares and ubers where the limited warrantee said was covered but due to limited limitations on which I couldn't find what the limitations were exactly which didn't set right with me but, nothing did from the start. I paid over $900 in rental and ride share costs and been approved only for $81. I had to resrnd into multiple times to recieve denials and letter saying I'm missing information and in the area where it explained what information I needed it was blank. When I was denied it wouldn't explain why and when I was approved for a partial amount so far it eouldjt show a number. People I communicated eith silverrock through text told me my warrantee had experience a number of times and didn't seem to have information that could help me at all. I didn't feel like the company had my interests in mind at all and I'm am so aggravatex and fed up with the whole experience that has left me in debt with latest because I mistakenly used some of my rent money to get a rental car because the only info I found made it seem like I'd probably get reimbursed within 2 to 3 weeks and it's over a month and I'm still waiting to hear back.
Had a bad experience with a car I have owned for just over a year. Three service claims with Silver Rock. To file a claim, you have to drop off the car with a service provider, get a diagnosis, and wait for claim approval. My car needed a new transmission. I had to wait three weeks for the process: claim submission, approval, Silver Rock parts department to send the transmission, and for the repairs to be completed. They only approved a used transmission. After the work was completed, I drove the car for less than 500 miles. During a trip out of town, the transmission started having issues. We were able to clear the code and re-engage the gears to drive. The car drove without issues for a couple of days, then on the way home, while on the highway and about three and a half hours from home, all new transmission codes started lighting up the dashboard. The transmission overheated within minutes. I pulled off the ramp into a parking lot and found myself with no gears and unable to move. I sat for two hours and was unable to reach Silver Rock due to their operational hours. There was no roadside assistance because they were closed, leaving me stranded. I had to Uber to the airport, incurring a $1,300 rental expense, which Silver Rock does not reimburse because I didn't have an open claim. How can I drive or tow a dead car to a mechanic to start a claim on a Saturday night hundreds of miles away from home, after hours? I called to talk to a representative on Monday morning and found out they care nothing about the customer or the financial situation they put them in. They suggested I should have called them for information. So now the car is over 300 miles away, undrivable, and has to be towed home. I'm out $1,300 in rental fees, still making car payments, and I have to travel back to tow the vehicle home to start all over again with the repair service claim. I'm sure I will be without a vehicle I am paying for and unable to drive, again, for 3-4 weeks. Disappointed and out of money, Silver Rock cannot refund on an unopened claim. Make sure you break down during normal business hours or wait until you can push your car to a service provider to start a claim!
Purchased a car from Carvana. SilverRock covers their 100 day warranty SilverRock has integrity... They did what they said they would do. A great experience. Really impressed, me and they gave me no push back on anything. Just a great experience.
SilverRock was highly recommended when I purchased my low mileage used Cadillac SUV with about 58K miles from DriveTime. The car had a clean history and had been a fleet vehicle with an impeccable maintenance record. I understand that the regular maintenance is not covered, but I have had two component failures since then. Even their "approved" repair facility *** said that they did not understand the repairs being declined because they were, in fact, failures. I feel like SilverRock is a scam working in concert with DriveTime. It's a very expensive investment that never pays off.
Silverrock is the worst insurance company of all time partnered with carvana the worst car dealership of all time. Long story short had car for two months, transmission blew out. Went through silverrock to get it fixed had rental for 14 days and they only reimburse up to $300. The total was $900. So Im out $600 on a rental and a repair cost not covered by silver rock which was $900 (oil filter housing). Then after I get the car out of the shop two days later the car went out again. I had to use my aaa tow to have it towed 36 miles to silverrock approved shop. She let us know the transmission was faulty, it was the part silverrock sent to get repaired. They sent a broken transmission and didnt inspect or do qualify just installed it. Had to get another rental for 10 days in which they covered up $300 it was $600 total. I wouldnt have had to get the second rental in the first place had they sent a functioning part. Now are they say is sorry nothing we can do I told them to have a manager call me back and received no call. They sent a check and stopped payment on it when I cashed it. I am not interested in going through customer service they have already proven unworthy of time.
Just horrible
Just horrible. Drag their feet, don't want to communicate with vehicle owner, and have rude representatives. My car has been in the shop for a week, no repairs done, no parts ordered, no communication from SilverRock. When I call, there is always something being reviewed. First, my claim was approved, no inspector needed, then it needed an inspector, then the parts had to be checked if covered, then have to be submitted for review, and then have to check parts quote. Each one of these things is during business hours. Just to get a parts quote was 2 days. Then to submit the inspection was another 2 days. Now they're saying some parts are covered and others may not be. Give them business hours to review coverage. What? Are you kidding me? The list is clearly in front of you of what's covered and what's not. Now you need 2 days to see if the parts(s) is covered or not. Another thing, the warranty has rental reimbursement, but I cannot get a rental until they approve the claim. So no vehicle until they say yes, be mindful I just bought the vehicle. No one is trying to fix this in a timely manner. I would never recommend SilverRock. I've had extended warranties and never had to deal with such c*** service. SilverRock doesn't want to tell me anything. Not how much the repair estimate, not how much the parts will cost, nor how long will they have my car. Yet I paid over $3,000 for coverage and can't get any info. The best extended warranty I had was Carchex, they are straightforward and don't drag their feet. This is the process people have to deal with and I am not for it. Honestly, I don't think anyone has time for the games they play. This warranty is NOT acceptable and quite frankly should be put out of business and shut down. It's a total scam if you really think about it. The objective is to wear you out to the point you pay the repairs out of pocket. I will post this wherever I can to get this company shut down. Wrong is wrong and they are taking advantage of people. Just look at their reviews.
Carvana is the biggest scam out there. I found a car I want it online and was told a delivery date. The day of delivery they change the time to times and I told them to reschedule it. They were in another week for the next delivery was available. And that they came they said it had to be rescheduled another six days. The car is expecting on Thursday I just received a call that it wont be delivered now for two more weeks. They claim theres a delivery issue. If the car is 30 minutes away from my house in ***. What transportation issues are they having that it takes two more weeks? They either sold the car to someone else or the car never existed in the first place. All the investigation and the finance and the insurance change around its been nothing but a headache. And I offered to go pick up the car directly they said that was not available And refused to let me speak to a supervisor.
I purchased a 2017 Audi A4 from carvana with 30k miles and a clean history 2 years ago. after putting 45k miles on the car myself and bringing it to 75k the car then had a check engine light. I took the car to the dealership where they diagnosed that along with a few other minor issues, silver rock communicated directly with the dealership approved all work and all it had cost me is a $50 deductible and no headaches what so ever. They are very streamlined and gave me no issues at all. Silver rock seems to be known to give people issues but I havent had one. The extended warranty paid for itself already!
This is the worst *** ever. Do not do business with them. My motor went out on my Van and Silver Rock used a third party vendor to replace the motor (after several days of arguing with them that the motor was bad) Upon the shop receiving the replacement motor they advised Silver Rock that the motor did not come out of the same vehicle that I have and that the motor did not appear to be a good motor. Silver Rock pushed the shop to use the motor that they sent and the shop said "ok but we are not offering any warranty as this motor is bad" The day I pulled off with my vehicle the motor began to mess up. Upon calling Silver Rock they advised that even though the parts that are going bad comes with the motor they are not covered. Upon questioning them on how a motor that I literally just got put in has any part that is not covered in away, they advised "they leave parts on there just in case you need them but if they are bad you can swap them from the old motor", how would you know these parts are bad WITHIN the replacement motor, unless you take apart the replacement motor and rebuild it? Needless to say I have called and left messages for several lawyers in regards to a potential class action law suite. At some point they have to stop ripping people off. I am now looking at hundreds of dollars of repairs on a replacement motor that they sent. I am livid and I will not stop pursing getting this company shut down or sued until they are broke. I would say go with any other company outside of Silver Rock because they do not care about their customers AT ALL.Don't reply to call you all Silver Rock I have already spoken to 4 Managers a conflict resolution specialist and countless customer service representatives with no resolution. This is not over this is just the beginning of me making sure that the world knows you all do seriously shady business.
Car broke down 10 days after I got it. The transmission was covered and they're refusing to fix it. Haven't even made a payment yet.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a warranty department
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a warranty department. They told my husband that they would take care of the rental for however long this would take to fix my car as well as any uber to that was used to get around during that time. I purchased the car at the end of June and the engine gave out on me on October 19th. I called to make sure when all the repairs were done that I had provided the correct information to get reimbursed for all the Ubers and the rental car I had for b. When I reviewed the email sent back I was only being reimbursed for $300 of the $900 I had to spend out of pocket while the car I still was paying for was in the shop. I have reviewed the paperwork given to me and I did not see any verbiage online to see where the $300 cap is I CANNOT FIND any information about how long rental cars are paid for and if ubers are covered. It is outrageous that I have to pay $600 because the car broke down that I just purchased and the customer service people I spoke with are no help at all! How do people know what is truly covered if it is not provided in any documentation given by the dealership or the website online? This is utterly outrageous as I didn't get my car back until 11/11 and now because I was not aware of this supposed policy of the cap being 10 days for a rental which was not mentioned at all when we started this. I am hurting financially and cannot provide a Christmas at all for my son because this has caused severe financial strain on my family during the hardest time of the year. Not to mention because of all of this my bank account was completely drained and I'm sure that this huge company is going to make sure their family has the best Christmas possible. It is companies like this that just take advantage of the poor people of this world like myself just trying to get a vehicle to get my son to school and get to work. There was no actual information about rentals on the website or pamphlet given to me by the dealership.
I purchased a vehicle November 19, 2022. It was delivered to me with a service light on. After contacting the dealership I purchased it from and not ever get in a call back and getting forwarded to Silver Rock time and time again finally on November 30th they sent my car to the shop where it has been as of 4 months today. The first shop that it was sent to it's set for 2 months because it was not a certified repair shop for the type of automobile that I have I was informed today that although they were responsible for sending it to a repair shop that could not fix it before they finally sent it to the dealership, but now I have to return my rental vehicle tomorrow rendering me without a vehicle after I have now I have to become self-employed due to the fact that I lost my job due to not having any transportation since I didn't even get a rental car until February 8th. I was just informed that I have been put on notice the rental is to be returned tomorrow I have a car I've paid thousands and thousands of dollars for that I've not even gotten to drive and I'm now being told I won't have anything to drive while it's been fixed the remainder of the time because the part is on backorder until April 15th but had the car gone to the original dealership it should have gone to get fixed 4 months ago I would have had my car back 2 months ago now I am looking at losing everything I have over this vehicle.
I am a first time electric vehicle owner so I opted for a full warranty which cost about what my car cost. When I had battery issues I was told that's not covered it's normal wear and tear. It's not like I can *** zone and get a new battery. Thing of that nature are why I went with a full warrenty. Very disappointed. I even asked for clarification from a manager.
From day one of my warranty SilverRock it has covered no repairs. I'm extremely angry that I have been giving my money to you. So you you can decide whether or not the actual repair is approved by you or not. One repair is not covered because of damage? What damage I don't purposely damage my vehicle and I have not been in an accident with this vehicle. Then to cancel it you either have to go online print out the form and send it in the mail. Or I wait for you to send the form and then send it back. Why can't you just cancel over the phone. You guys are scammers
We have the worst ongoing claim with SilverRock. Our vehicle has been in the mechanic shop for a month and a half now. I have learned that nothing SilverRock tells me is true since I stay in contact with the mechanic shop personally. I have been promised a total of six times that I would receive a callback by a support member named at SilverRock. No call has come at any time. The support member told me they were waiting on the mechanic shop to contact their inspector to set a date to come out, not knowing I had already talked to the mechanic shop, which told me they were waiting on a call from SilverRock to move forward.
Anyway, the issue is my 2018 Focus's transmission went out. SilverRock had purchased a transmission from another vendor, I'm sure because it was cheaper. When the mechanic shop installed it, the transmission was no good. Now the shop told us if they finally agreed to move forward and purchase another one, it would still not be ready by May 1, 2023. That would be two months in the shop. Even the mechanic shop is frustrated because our car is just sitting in their shop, taking up a spot and preventing other vehicles from getting repaired promptly. SilverRock won't even help provide us a rental. All they say is they'll reimburse us for a rental. The only problem is we're paying over $550 for a vehicle we don't have. We can't afford to rent a vehicle. When I mentioned this to SilverRock, all they say is let me look at your case and we'll call you right back. Another lie because they have never called me back. I always have to call them from work and sit on hold, hoping I won't get seen or even fired for being on the phone. I'm sure they will respond to this in a sweet and comforting way. My only comfort I will get is having a vehicle.
Silverrock is not a great company in the slightest
Silverrock is not a great company in the slightest. I bought my car 8 months ago. 2016 Chevrolet Cruze from Drive Time with 69,000 miles on it from drive time. Still in great condition! At least I thought. My engine overheated, then went completely out. Meineke the auto body shop showed me the diagnostics contacted Silverrock numerous times to get the run around and excuses. My warranty covers my engine. The guy Silverrock sends out after 2 weeks being without my car and out of work because of the engine failure. Silverrock accepted my claim then when they finally sent someone out to Menekie then deny my warranty because the vehicle from their point of view hasn't been upkept. This is a LIE, the car I keep super clean. They say it hasn't had an oil change. This too is a Lie, I have the receipt to prove it. They said the coolant cap is missing, another LIE! The coolant cap is not missing and Menekie has it. Silverrock again say the coolant is low and the (well duh, when an engine overheats it might be a radiator or a blown head gasket which can't drain the coolant). Now the coolant was completely spraying out at one point, but the same day I noticed, is the same day I spent almost $300 to fix buying a new part at *** I have the receipt to show it). So a few days after getting that fix my whole engine still overheating completely shut down on my way to Menekie so I can get it fixed. Silverrock doesn't want to pay and find any excuse for not paying the warranty. Oh Silverrock also stated that I had no coolant in there at all, Lies again, cause at first they say I have low coolant then upon inspection, no coolant. Well, the autobody shop has to drain the coolant to do their depressurization tests, etc. With proof I can show I kept up the vehicle on my end. Silverrock says there is nothing they can do for me, and I call the dealer and they also say there's nothing they will do for me. Silverrock, I WILL BE FILING A LAWSUIT. I pay Bridgecrest each month for this warranty.
My car had internal engine issues and required an engine replacement 2 months after purchasing it from Drivetime
My car had internal engine issues and required an engine replacement 2 months after purchasing it from Drivetime. Silverrocks extended warranty covered the repair, however, they can use any used engine they find on the internet and do not require it to be in working condition. The engine used needed numerous additional repairs Silverrock does not cover. The engine replacement needed new spark plugs, a thermostat, water hose, a PC valve, ABS control, water pump, and is now leaking oil from the engine (gasket valve cover). The additional out of pocket repairs cost $4000. Additionally, the repair process took a total of 48 days since Silverrock spent a significant amount of time moving my car to a repair facility that was willing to use the risky engine replacement since using unevaluated parts is against Firestones policy. Silverrock went out of their way to get the repair done as cheap as possible at my own expense since I ended using my rental longer to account for the extra days and having to pay out of pocket for the repairs the faulty engine replacement required. Throughout the entire process I had spoken to several different people at Silverrock who assured me that my rental was covered by my warranty since the repairs were delayed due to no fault of my own and the vehicle was not drivable during the entire duration of the repair process. I spent over $2000 on the rental and when I requested reimbursement, Silverrock only reimbursed $525. I called and they said they were only required to reimburse up to $300 and that I should be grateful that they were kind enough to reimburse anything more. Silverrock will do whatever they can to save as much money as possible and will deny coverage for everything they can. Silverrock does not care about the quality of their service, they just want to save every dollar they can by doing the bare minimum their terms require, terms subject to their own interpretation. Do not trust this company. Their practices should be illegal.
I really wish I could give negative stars, it's the 3rd week of my car being in a shop
I really wish I could give negative stars, it's the 3rd week of my car being in a shop. It's the second shop. I'm paying 80 dollars a day to go to work cash. Along with paying for SilverRock insurance, car payments, and regular insurance. I have been lied to over and over from the shops. SilverRock continues the lies after I complain. I was told by an agent that this second shop, which I had to pay for another tow amounting to another expense, to the specific dealership (liars, terrible customer service). I wouldn't have to pay the diagnostic fee unless the problem with the car wasn't covered. This was another lie on the lie mountain that is SilverRock insurance. I was told by the dealership that they couldn't tell me, I repeat, couldn't tell me what was wrong with the car until I pay the diagnostic fee. Not that they haven't looked at the vehicle. So I paid the fee to finally, after a week, gain some understanding of what seems to be a get-over process that is commonly practiced between both SilverRock and any mechanic facility endorsed by SilverRock. After paying, I asked what was wrong with the car. I was then told by the dealership it looks like a battery issue. This is how the lie works, so after waiting another 8 hrs, I was told once again that they are looking into it. To which I said, I thought you had and couldn't tell me until I paid for the diagnosis. It was at this point I realized I was going through the same exact scenario of the last lying repair facility (Pepboys on East Washington). I have absolutely no confidence in Drivetyme, Bridgecrest, and especially SilverRock and its recommended repair facilities. The amount of frustration and sheer disappointment is enormous, considering I'm homeless and my car is my home. The money I continue to pay repair facilities, SilverRock, and Bridgecrest continues, and I am left without any answers, just a tedious wait process filled with lies. Unfortunately for me, as I am told by all aforementioned companies, it's too bad.
Not very happy right now
Not very happy right now. Engine replacement January 8. Cam and lifter issues along with misfiring cylinders. Took it back to the shop 4 weeks later. with same knocking noise on the replacement engine and told by repair shop it was definitely the cam and lifters again. Was reported again to warranty company. They suggested a 2nd opinion according to repair shop. Got 2nd opinion from another network repair shop. there statement was the engine is no good. I end up taking it to a dealership of the make and model of my car on February 6th. Their initial assessment was whomever work on your car you should not take it back They stated gaskets were loose and some did not have screws in them. I then recalled when the 2nd opinion shop lifted one up and shook his head. The make and model dealership stated cylinder 2 & 8 was misfiring and that the fuel injectors were bad. $600 it cost me because it was not covered, Afterwards the knocking was less, but still a slight knock. This pass Sunday Feb. 16th my check engine light began to flash. This is where I'm confuse. This a warranty replacement engine. which had the same issues as the original engine. With the cylinder misfires on #2 & #8 and just this morning I swore me and my girlfriend heard the original repair shop state that the injectors from the old engine was put into the replacement engine. which has a 12000 mile warranty alone with some responsibility from repair shop. I should not have had to pay $600 dollars. whats funny is the network repair shop said the warranty company requested 2nd opinion. The warranty company says it was the network repair shops request. I will not drive this car another mile. The engine is bad. Just that simple. Know I wait again. Honesty and fairness are great qualities. Since December 17 my car was undrivable for a month. Repair has told me everything they have reported to warranty shop. Everything! And the things the warranty company is saying. I have facts of every conversation. Whose telling the truth and whose not. This does not make any sense whatsoever.
SILVERROCK/DRIVETIME: DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE!
SILVERROCK/DRIVETIME: DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE! I'm currently financing a vehicle from here since October . Since I financed the vehicle I've had to put in serious money into fixing it. Unfortunately I do not Know much about cars but I'm almost positive they slap an inspection sticker on it without even checking to see if it's even functioning properly. In the past 8 months of having this car I have had more “wear and tear" than I would of expected from having for such a short period of time. THE WARRANTY COVERS NOTHINGGGGG! Since I've had the car I've had to replace light bulbs, replace brakes and rotors, replace filters, paid for an entire tune up, replaced an oil plug, replaced spark plugs TWICE, and replace the flex pipe. ALL OF THAT JUST FOR MY CAR TO STILL NOT BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY! I took the car back to the shop that had done all the work on my car that SILVERROCK WARRANTLY listed. They couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle after the work they did. They test drive my car and told me my car has no power accelerating. They told me that being that my check engine light isn't on there is nothing they can diagnose. SILVERROCK has refused to help me in any way, shape, or form. I'm currently at another shop getting my engine and transmission looked at that once again SILVERROCK has sent me to. The man there said he tries to warn people about DRIVETIME because they do this all the time. Says that even with the warranty SILVERROCK STILL REFUSES TO PAY FOR ANYTHING AND WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR LABOR EVEN THOUGH YOURE ONLY SUPPOSED TO PAY FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE. I am so unhappy with my purchase and now I'm stuck with a non working vehicle that will most likely be in my credit if the warranty doesn't cover any of the repairs that need to be made. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT FINANCE OR PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE! I thought I was doing the right thing financing being that I have had bad luck with cars I've paid for out of pocket. I was absolutely wrong. I'd give it 0 stars if possible. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. In April my 2015 Nissan Rogue's transmission was going out. I'm still under warranty and SilverRock sent me to their mechanic. The mechanic was paid and had the new transmission within a couple of days. For almost 6 weeks, the mechanic put me off as to when he could do the work. Finally, after contacting SilverRock, he told me to bring it in on Thursday, June 17th, and it would be ready by Saturday. Saturday the 19th, I called, no answer. I texted him and I got he's in the hospital. Supposedly, his wife was taken Friday night. So I asked if my car was fixed. I got no, there was a problem with the car on the lift. It sat there for 3 days, never touched, and nobody ever contacted me. I went and got the car and called SilverRock. One person sent me to another shop, but the claim was denied. I was told it had to go back to the first guy. Now the car isn't drivable and was towed there on Thursday, July 1st. They told me Monday. Then he told me Tuesday the 6th. On the 6th, he tells me he's waiting for a tow to take it to the dealer to be reprogrammed. He would let me know when ready. No more Tuesday. Wednesday, I texted and he tells me the tow was late, so he had a mobile mechanic come, but they couldn't get it working. I called SilverRock again and told them they need to handle this now. All they said was they were going by what the mechanic was telling them. I have texts and proof. I even called the dealer it was supposed to get towed to, and they said there was no appointment made and never heard of the guy. They treated me like I was a liar or crazy. They told me it would be ready Friday the 9th. Well, it's 3 a.m. Friday the 9th, and I just had my coworker drive me there, and my car is sitting in what looks like a junkyard and hasn't been touched. It was unlocked, and a purse I had under my seat was on the front passenger side floor. My center compartment and dashboard were ransacked through, and the car smells musty as ***. Now the police, an attorney, the ComplaintsBoard.com, and the Department of Consumer Protection Services are all involved. Hope you see this SilverRock because I will take this as far as I have to. I have texts and emails and pictures and a video that I took of the car tonight when I found it.

I just talked to Silver Rock after being referred there by Carvana for information on warranty coverage for a 2 year old Mercedes Benz (about $60k) that I was looking at. I first went to Silver Rock website to look at there "preferred" repair shops. I am in Tampa, FL, not exactly out in the country, and the only repair facilities listed were stores like Tire Discount, Pep Boys, Mida Mufflers. Tuffy Mufflers, etc. Now I am not knocking those shops and their ability to do thinks like oil changes and tire repairs but what if I have a serious repair like a transmission, engine or AWD problem. Would I take it there? Absolutely not! I called Silver Rock and they sail they have some additional businesses in the area ie AAMCO that could fix the car. I asked about engine repair. They said if one of there preferred bsuiness could not fix it, I could take it to a deaer and THEY WOULD TRY TO WORK OUT AN AGREEABLE REPAIR AND AMOUNT WITH THE DEALER. Don't plan on that. I have been buying cars for ove 55 years and have had a few 3rd party warranties. In the past 10 years I have found almost NO car dealership will work with the because they don't want to pay, require endless documentation and are slow pay. My personal experience has been the same. My advice, from someone who has been buying cars for a long time, forget about any 3rd party warranty that is not sold by the dealership you will need to take the car to. That way if they sell the warranty, they are much more obliged and contracted to fix you car without delay. As secondary fallout to Carvana, they have lost a sale because of Silver Rock. Reading other comments here it seems other CArvana customers have the same complaints. Why does Carvana continue to use Silver Rock? Its because they can charge the customer for a $1500 warranty that Silver Rock sell to them for $700. A good example of a used car warranty is how Carmax works. They actually have their own repair facilities. If they can't fix a specialized problem, they take the car to a dealership. I understand this happens about 60% of the time due to new car complexity and the numerous car makes they sell. I talked to both my Mercedes and BMW dealer and verified this for me. The Carmax system is seamless and comprehensive with no "out of net" surcharges. So Good Bye Carvana, hello Carmax.

IT'S TIME FOR THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO INVESTIGATE - HELP STOP SILVERROCK's ABUSE OF THE CONSUMER BY CALLING AND REPORTING THIS COMPANY: [Insert appropriate contact information for the Attorney General's office] Consumer [Insert your name] When there are this many complaints related to unethical and corrupt business practices, it is time for the authorities to step in. If you are reading this I urge you to contact the [Insert appropriate contact information for the Attorney General's office]. If the AG's office gets enough complaints they will take steps to stop this company's disgusting practices. Here is my horror story: I purchased a car from Carvana. SilverRock handles their vehicle warranty services. I immediately noticed an issue with the car and took it to the repair shop SilverRock suggested. SilverRock did everything they could to convince the repair shop to say it was an issue not covered by warranty. The shop refused because I demanded that they put that in writing and they knew it was untrue. Bound by the terms of the warranty, SilverRock had no choice but to open a claim - and then did everything they could to make sure I could not get the work done and I was placed on hold for [Insert appropriate number] mins at a time trying to speak to their representative to get the claim moving. Even though the car was under warranty when the issue was identified I was told that if the mileage exceeded the warranty mileage before the repairs would be made, SilverRock would not pay and they would not pay for a rental car unless the authorization was complete (which was 100% within their control) - which left me no choice but to drive the damaged vehicle. SilverRock made excuse after excuse to delay providing the authorization to make the repairs and the repair shop would not accept the vehicle without the authorization. It is a catch -22. I can only use a Silverrock recommended repair shop but the repair shop won't take the vehicle unless SilverRock provides an authorization that ensures they will be paid. SilverRock's deliberate delays in providing the authorization ensures they never pay a [Insert appropriate amount] for "covered repairs" because by the time the car is accepted for repair, the mileage is above the small amount covered by the warranty. How is that NOT a scam, fraud, etc? I am 100% certain I am not the only person who has been scammed and defrauded here. So if you read this - don't just complain here. REPORT THEM TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.
Silverrock has triggered my depression and anxiety
Silverrock has triggered my depression and anxiety. I purchased a vehicle with them, and bought the extended warranty through Silverrock. 1 mth in of having the car, the spoiler failed and I had to take the car in to have it fixed. They fixed it because I was was within the 30 days. A few months later there was a faulty spring in the clutch and caused the clutch to fail and shatter causing damage to the clutch and the fly wheel, well over $2k in damages. I fought and fought with them until they agreed to the labor, resulting in me spending over $1200 out of my pocket to have it fixed. I gave up on that fight because I couldn't take it any more mentally. I had to spend countless hours arguing with Silverrock and trying to get them to see that although the clutch is a wearable part, the only reason it failed, was due to a faulty sprint in the clutch, and the other damage was a direct relation to that faulty part, and should be covered because it is associated with the initial cause. Now, faulty sealing on the vehicle allowed 3 inches of water to enter the vehicle, which caused corrosion and failure of the JBE and body harness on the car, again associated parts due to the faulty sealing. Mind you I haven't even had the car for a year. I have asked that my case be looked at as a whole and attention be paid to the original cause of the problem, which was the faulty sealing. They refuse to do so and continue to quote the technical part of the contract that states they do not cover water damage. Even though I have in writing that the water damage only occurred because the car was not sealed properly. I just got the car and this is not fair to me as a customer. Good business practices would be to do what's right by the customer and cover any and all damages caused by the faulty sealing, as they are associated parts. This whole ordel has caused me such mental and emotional anguish that I can't even get out of my bed. It has reactivated my anxiety and depression and I feel like I can't go on. I've had to take off work, and am facing being left with the total cost of repairs and the remainder of the loan on the car and in a position that will leave me without a car all together. That doesn't seem fair to me as a customer because I have in writing that these damages only occurred because if faulty sealing. Please pray my strength and that Silverrock does what's right for me as a customer and that I make it through this process. It's literally killing me.
If I could give 0 I would, complete waste of time
If I could give 0 I would, complete waste of time. It should not take over 3 weeks and still not even have an idea of when anything will be done! I'm making a car payment for a car I didn't even have this month! I took my car to my mechanic who takes silverrock only to be told by silverrock that they will not accept their diagnosis and I need to go to a transmission shop and there is only one in town they will accept. I take it to Brownie's on 4/2 only for that mechanic to be told by silverrock they want a 3rd party adjuster to look diagnose the car before approving the claim and it will be about a week before it would be worked on. On 4/8 I was approved for the transmission but they would send it to Brownie's and it would be 3-5 business days. On 4/19 the mechanic called me and told me he called silverrock to check on where the parts were only to be told they forgot to send it. They got new people and someone forgot to send it to him and the would have to put the order through again and he would receive it by 4/26 and to tell me they would extend the rental coverage to me. They couldn't even call me to tell me about me qualifying for the rental reimbursement they told the mechanic to do it I called the mechanic yesterday 4/27 and sure enough he still didn't have the transmission so I called silverrock. The rep kept telling me that the transmission was out for delivery and was to be delivered by the end of the day even though the mechanic was told he would have it by Monday. When I called today Brownies today 4/28, the mechanic informed me that he still had not received it so I called silverrock again to see where it was. This rep tell me that it was delivered on 4/23. When I questioned her about it stating that I was told yesterday it was still out for delivery and that the mechanic does not have the transmission, she kept repeating that it was delivered. When I kept questioning what I was told yesterday she then added that the note about it being delivered was just added today so the rep wouldn't have seen it and she would check with parts. She tells me the parts department confirms it was delivered and that no signature was required due to covid. Now I am 26 day with no car, no rental because the reimbursement barely covers the cost of rentals in Dayton and paying a car payment for a car I don't have that doesn't work and don't even know when I will even have back. Next call might have to be a lawyer because calling silverrock just seems to get you different stories.
Zero stars
Zero stars. My review is zero stars. I would go negative if I could. My vehicle has been in their "approved" repair facility 56 days now. Still not finished. Engine lifter caused damage to camshaft and determination was to replace motor. Their approved shop recommended a remanufactured motor, could have delivered in 3 days. SilverRock said no, we're supplying a used motor from our parts supplier. (Which I have no problem with, as long as there is some warranty on the motor) Their supplied motor did not arrive for 3 weeks. After the engine didn't arrive the day SilverRock told the shop it would, I called SilverRock for an update. "The engine is only a day late, we're not going to call our vendor yet. We'll call in a couple days if it's still not there." 2 1/2 weeks in, I call SilverRock again asking for status on the engine, they had no answer, they didn't know what was going on (THEIR WORDS). I suggested maybe it's time to approve a rental for me to use. The representative advised I was approved for a rental the day the claim was approved. I advised that no one told me this, their response "you didn't ask." When their part supplier arrived at the shop to deliver, they had no way to get the motor off the truck, no lift bed. They would have to come back with a lift bed. 3 more days, and the delivery was completed. The shop installed the motor and found the oil pan was full of metal shavings and the oil pickup filter was clogged with shavings also. The motor was junk. SilverRock advised they were going to have the same part supplier provide another used motor. This motor also arrived late. SilverRock tried to tell the shop and myself that the shop denied the delivery. After about 40 days, I was given to their customer resolution team to help get the claim resolved. The resolution team does nothing to resolve anything and continues to speak off script. They continuously mention "transparency" and "understanding". These words were completely hollow and meant nothing. The vehicle is not done yet. I get a call from the rental car company, *** Rental, saying it is no longer covered in 2 days. SilverRock said NOTHING. If the rental car company had not called me, I would be paying out of pocket. SilverRock advised they cut the rental based on the shop's estimated completion date. I explained I was just at the shop and the vehicle is not going to be ready. SilverRock calls back a few hours later. We have not been able to reach the shop yet, so the rental will still be cut. They suggested I have the shop call them. It's their preferred shop! They told me to go there! Don't you think the rental should be cut once repairs are confirmed complete? I have been in the automotive industry for over 20 years. I have NEVER seen a poorer excuse for customer service.

I bought a car through Carvana on 9/4
I bought a car through Carvana on 9/4. Before I picked up the car the advocate said the car needed new tires. He couldn't get them replaced that day and gave me the option to wait to take delivery or take the car and they would do an inquiry with SilverRock to have them replaced. I choose to go the latter way, since I was excited to get my car. Someone dropped the ball and SilverRock didn't get the original inquiry. I called Carvana and they confirmed that the exception was sent through to SilverRock. I called the facility and ordered the same tires that are currently on the car as a replacement and gave them all the SilverRock information to submit their claim for payment, so I could get them installed. Claim denied. I have spent hours now on text and phone as has my service facility and I am still waiting to get this fixed. SilverRock proceeds to need photos of the tires, although these were already submitted prior to me taking the car, tell the technician there was no exception and after h
I'm not exactly sure where to begin. I dropped off me vehicle at the repair shop on 2/12 and picked up my real the same day. I forget the day I picked it up but I have all of my paperwork and provide supports if needed. I paid $600 for my rental and was only reimbursed $200. Every time I call, I'm given a different reason as to why the full amount was not reimbursed. Also I took it in for the catalytic converter and was told after I got the vehicle back that the catalytic converter was not repaired and only the O2 sensor was approved. This was not communicated to me by the shop or the adjuster that approved the repairs. So on top of not being fully reimbursed, I also have to pay another deductible for what I originally took the vehicle to the shop for. It's literally been a nightmare. I've asked for specific information and have also had the shop call on my behalf, which is a preferred shop that I found on their website. I don't think it's fair and just the full reimbursement.
Engine blow up in vehicle.Silver Rock will not pay for Intake and Exhaust manifolds which are required to make the engine operate correctly. Silver Rock will not pay for gaskets, seals and bolts needed and are actual essential parts needed for the engine. I have been fighting back and forth only to be told that it is SilverRock's service contract, not to pay for items needed, they are supplying a remanufactured engine, but will not supply items needed to put the engine back in the car.
I purchased my VW Tiguan through Carvana, when i received the car there were no lights on the dashboard, but shortly after purchasing the car i noticed it sounded as if the car was diesel powered. However the car wasn't. i didn't have a car for a year before issues began to unfold. Which is why i purchased an extended warranty, knowing the car was used. But, when it came time to use that warranty and deal with *** dollars worth of damage on the vehicle in was denied any assistance, and the warranty company placed the blame on me - stating i hadn't gotten enough oil changes done on the car. However when the technicians at VW fisrt examined the car, they told me the oil looked good, meaning the damage done on the camshaft and timing chain were caused by something else. My car has been at VW for about 2 months now with no repairs done at all. the warranty company even denied the diagnostics fee, after telling me they would cover it.
I purchased a vehicle from Carvana on September 4. Before taking possession of the vehicle, the representative informed me that it required new tires. Unfortunately, they were unable to replace the tires on the same day and presented me with two options: either delay the vehicle pickup or proceed with the pickup and arrange a tire replacement through SilverRock. Eager to drive my new car, I opted for the latter arrangement. However, a miscommunication occurred, and SilverRock did not receive the initial request. After contacting Carvana, they reassured me that the necessary exception had been communicated to SilverRock. I proceeded to order the same model of tires currently on the car for replacement and provided the tire shop with SilverRock's details to claim the cost. Despite these efforts, the claim was rejected. I have since invested considerable time communicating via text and phone calls, as has the tire service center, and I am still awaiting a resolution. SilverRock has requested photographs of the tires, which had already been provided before I took possession of the vehicle. They also informed the technician that no exception had been made, and the message was abruptly cut off.
I purchased a vehicle from SilverRock on 8/18
I purchased a vehicle from SilverRock on 8/18. I was so excited to get approved that I feel as though I made the WORST MISTAKE EVER! When u got there I didn't see anything I liked. The sales lady asked me what kind of car I said just like that one. It was a Burgundy fusion that was just sold. She walked me to the back and showed me the "dealer demo". I got it. Otw back to GA I noticed hard shifting and jerking. Called Drivetime and basically they blew me off. So called SilverRock to start a claim. Honest auto fixed the wheel bearing but car was there over 5 days. Got it back doing same hard shift. Took it to [Automotive Shop Name] automotive car was there like 11 days they replaced with refurbished transmission. It's now [protected] car has been at ridleys again going on now for another 9 days. I was told it would be covered under warranty now they're stating something totally different. This is so RIDICULOUS, But if I don't make my payment they'll be quicktogeit.
I purchased a warranty on a 2016 Edge through Silver Rock. I'm still currently covered under warranty. I'm in need of a new transmission because the one in my vehicle is faulty due to bad manufacturing. According to my contract with SilverRock, my transmission is a covered part. I should only have to pay a deductible of $100 or $200. I'm getting my car serviced at AAMCO. They do not supply rebuilt transmissions, which is what SilverRock wanted to cover me for instead of covering me for a brand new transmission. They offered me $1500 and for me to pay the difference when my transmission should have been totally covered minus the deductible. So after the $1500, I would have to pay over $3000 out of pocket when I paid for this warranty to cover my car. I have been waiting for my truck to be fixed for almost 2 weeks now.
I talked to the claim advisor that denied my claim. I asked for a manager, which I was denied several times. After saying I will contact the ComplaintsBoard.com, I was passed over to a manager in customer service. She stated I will get a call back from her manager in 24 hours, but I never received a call. My phone records can prove it. This is bad customer service. You get my hopes up thinking my problem will be covered, but once the contract is approved for purchase, you pull back. My car is currently at Jeep in *** on the wait list (as different location from prior mentioned). I have been inconvenienced enough. I went ahead and had the brakes and rotors replaced because they were squealing and scrubbing for a reason. My child and I safety were at risk. The new brakes and rotors fixed one issue. I have the parts that came off the car. I would like a refund for those brakes which were $186.57 and the rotors, which were $264.57.
I bought a 2012 C250 in July . I purchased it with a certain number of miles for a specific price. As of today, the vehicle still owes $12,895.00 and the current mileage is substantial; however, in 3 years the car hasn't been overused. In May , I took it to a service center in a particular location because it had a misfire. The diagnostic indicated a bad coil, which wasn't covered by the warranty. I replaced all coils and spark plugs, yet the misfire persists. The error code is Cylinder 3. I acquired higher-quality coils and spark plugs for cylinder number 3, but the issue remains. A mechanic inspected it and suggested that the problem lies within the engine, as all other components seem fine. I contacted SilverRock today and was informed they would not cover the engine repairs. I paid $3,555 for a warranty that extends for a certain number of miles or 5 years. Despite this coverage encompassing many components, my claim was still rejected. Should I fail to find a resolution, I am prepared to return the car to the bank and seek legal assistance due to what I perceive as false advertising of the warranty. This situation will undoubtedly impact my credit score.
I am referring to a specific complaint, for which Silverock approved an engine replacement. However, my engine had already been removed from the car, and instead of a new one, Silverock provided a used engine. They refuse to disclose any information or details about the engine, claiming it is proprietary. Initially, they informed me that my out-of-pocket expense would be a certain amount, so I had the vehicle reassembled, ready to pay that amount to retrieve it. But because Silverock opted for a 'more cost-effective repair'—a term they have not defined—I ended up having to pay a different amount to reclaim my recently purchased vehicle, which was still under warranty. I am still making payments on this car, and the replacement engine they provided is defective. I do not want to be told again that they have reached their limit of responsibility because Carvana sold me a faulty vehicle and Silverock, being their affiliate, has left me trapped in this situation. It is clear that I was sold a defective car if it has required repairs exceeding the vehicle's price within the first hundred days of ownership. So far, it has cost me a significant amount, and the engine they sent is not even functional, yet they refuse to provide me or the Audi dealership with any information.

Recently, my daughter, [daughter's name], had a transmission replaced through your company which eventually began to leak. She contacted the mechanic who initially replaced the transmission with a part provided by your supplier, however, due to obvious reasons, he did not want to get involved a second time. She contacted SilverRock who provided a list of repair shops and she contacted 3; 2 stated they did not repair transmissions (so why were they on your list) and the third is the [name of repair shop] in [location] where the vehicle is now. It has been almost 3 months since the car was dropped off for the repair of the first transmission replacement. I'm at a loss as to why a replacement transmission would need to be replaced other than it was not a good part and shouldn't have been provided to any mechanic. While you finally agreed to send another transmission, there is NOT a straight answer from you or the mechanic when the part will be delivered and the repairs made so we can have the vehicle back!
I bought my car and warranty in the last 4 months and less than *** miles. My car died while driving on 8/15.I had it towed to a repair shop and the checked it Monday morning, the codes where for my vvt (variable valve timing solenoid). They told the mechanic it wouldn't be covered. I then got on the phone with them and the rudely said read your warranty contract and where nice enough to email it to me. The only thing it says about the engine warranty is that it covers "all internal lubricated parts" that is it. It is extremely vague. After speaking to the mechanic he showed me and told them that on my vehicle the vvt is inside the engine (under the valve cover and is 100% lubricated as it has a filter to regulate the oil pressure. They claim that even though it is internal they choose to consider it external. However that is not mentioned at all in the warranty contract. It literally says only..."all internal lubricated parts". So now it cost me just over $1300.
I purchased a warranty with SilverRock through Drive Time on 2/19 for 5 years or a certain mileage. In the middle of 2021, I began to have issues with the lights on my vehicle which I later learned was due to a faulty multi-purpose switch. I took the vehicle to Pepboys on 7/8. They informed me I would need to replace the multi-purpose switch and also the battery. When they tried to start the claim with SilverRock, they were told that the vehicle was not under warranty. After consulting with Drive Time, who confirmed that it indeed is under warranty, and resending the contract to SilverRock, there has been no resolution. The repair is done and waiting. It is 8/23, and they are still claiming to have not received it or that they're waiting for it to be 'pushed through'. No other alternative has been offered. I asked if I paid out of pocket if I would be reimbursed once the issue is resolved, and they stated they were not sure. It's been 45 days waiting for a phone call. 45 days without a car.
In February my motor failed on my 2014 Chevrolet Cruze they replaced and gave the motor a warranty for *** miles and 12 months and now the motor needs to be replaced again because the oil plug fell off due to the pep boys that they use lack of care and now the pep boys refuses to work on my car and now they are unable to give me a shop that will fix my car and may possibly refuse to fix my car this company has become a problem to deal with
SilverRock advised me to arrange a diagnostic after I mentioned my air conditioner was having sporadic issues. I set up an appointment with their recommended service provider, and since I had been explicit in my communications that the problem was sporadic, they were aware that the malfunction occurred unpredictably.
A technician from Wrench was dispatched to perform the diagnostic, and as soon as he began, he acknowledged the sporadic nature of the issue and expressed doubt about his ability to diagnose it. At that point, he should have either not proceeded or not arrived at all, knowing his limitations. Nonetheless, he was unable to replicate the problem. He suggested taking the car to a dealership, which he had mentioned at the outset as a likely outcome.
Unfortunately, I was billed $125 for the 20-minute diagnostic, which turned out to be futile, and my claim was subsequently denied. And guess what? My air conditioner is malfunctioning again. As you might have surmised, it's mine. Following a back-and-forth where both companies played the blame game—one claiming the dealership recommendation wasn't noted, the other insisting it was communicated—I was left without a functioning air conditioner and out of pocket.

I bought a wrecked car from Carvana
I bought a wrecked car from Carvana. I was told by them today that the original promise by SilverRock when I purchased the vehicle should still be honored. When I bought the damaged car, it had rear bumper damage and hood damage. SilverRock approved the claim by a 110-year-old repair shop that is very honest. They approved $1555 to start, but once the bumpers were off, they realized they needed more. I never fixed the car because SilverRock wanted me to pay rental car upfront, but I can't because I'm on SSI. Now I'm going to sell the car to AutoNation as I can't afford it, and SilverRock, who through ComplaintsBoard.com back then agreed to fix the damage, won't because I took so long to put it in the shop. It's the same damage, not new. Honor and integrity never expire. I will go to the local news and attorney general if my car is not repaired. They have photos and documents from the original damage, as well as my repair shop. Please fix my car as you insured it for Carvana, a wrecked vehicle. Carvana told me today that SilverRock should honor repairs if it was the same.
My truck has undisclosed damage under right front passenger bumper with rusted scratches and dent from previous owner. I bought the truck from Carvana, who Silver Rock works with. Carvana claims they have sent an exception for repair of the said bumper multiple times for the past two weeks now. Silver Rock keeps denying having received any of the exceptions. I need ComplaintsBoard.com to please find out for me why they are not receiving the exceptions from Carvana for the past two weeks now. You can see the damage was there even before I bought the car. Check the 360 degree view of the truck here and zoom on the right bumper .
SilverRock is the warranty provider for Carvana. I am within my warranty period and have provided 12 other scratches/defects on the car not disclosed on the Carvana website. On a recorded line, I was told to send the additional photos to Silver Rock by email as the Carvana website would only let me upload maximum of two photos. I then was told the emailed photos of the additional scratches needed to uploaded through Carvana dashboard (which as a reminder is only allowing two uploads). I called Carvana again on 8/12 to explain SilverRock request. The Carvana representative sent me an instant link at 1:01 pm CST to upload the photos immediately which was successful. She additionally called SilverRock while I remained on the line to verify that they have received the additional photos and they confirmed they did receive them before she got off the phone with me. Today, I called SilverRock for an update and they are now saying they do not have the photos. This is unacceptable.
Silver Rock was my GAP insurance for my car. Around May the 13th I had wreck and my insurance said that the car was totaled my insurance paid the majority of the car off left to pay was $2000.00.Silver Rock only paid $311 they tried to say it was prior damage on the like scratches the oil was dirty just anything cans what that have to do with them paying my car off my car still ran good before the accident Im gonna take them to small claims court because I dont see anywhere in my contract where they can pick and chose what they wanna pay
I purchased a truck from Carvana on 2021.07.07. Per their policy, I was to file any issues not documented with the truck in their web application to document within the 7 day period. I completed three issues and sent on 2021.07.13. I called Carvana on 2021.07.16, their application processed one of the issues I logged, the other two didn't log. They noted my account of the issue and sent a deductible waiver to Sivlerrock (their warranty partner). The problem with my truck is an unreported accident that is causing the bumper to scratch/impede operation of the tailgate. Every attempt to work with Silverrock is met with argumentative resistance to state they will not address a cosmetic issue. They finally referred me to a repair facility to get an estimate and email to them to determine if they will fix. I received a denial via email today. My concern is not a cosmetic issue. This is an preventing normal operation of this vehicle, the consequence of which is causing cosmetic damage.
I purchased a vehicle through Carvana with a delivery date 5/7
I purchased a vehicle through Carvana with a delivery date 5/7. After signing the paperwork for receipt of the vehicle I was told by the driver/delivery person that the person cleaning the vehicle prior to delivery realized the camera was broken. I was told a claim was initiated by the Carvana dealership with SilverRock. I contacted SilverRock to follow up with the repair process. I was initially sent a list of repair facilities that could not make the repair, I was then given a list of out of network facilities that could make the repair but were not taking appointments and unable to get parts. I was told by the SilverRock representative I could drop the vehicle off but it would sit for 4-6 weeks and no estimate of repair could be made. I contacted SilverRock to get an extension on the claim and was denied. SilverRock has refused to provide any alternative for repair of the damage caused prior to purchase of the vehicle. They are refusing to make a repair as the repair will be outside claim date.

After months of issues with my sister's vehicle (I am co-signer and co-owner), the engine gave out and the Extended warranty company while they did approve an engine; they have left vital parts out and have been giving the mechanics shop a hard time in getting the parts. The mechanic is also having a very difficult time finding these parts. This has caused my sister to be without her car and job now for 3 weeks. While SilverRock states they will cover rental costs up to 25 dollars a day, the process requires it to be paid upfront then reimbursed which takes a month. Meanwhile, my sister can't pay on the car and there are concerns that the finance company may repo the vehicle. We keep in touch with them but if SilverRock does not do the right thing and cover and locate the parts needed soon we may not be able to get this fixed. I am a struggling priority worker doing my part with the *** as I work for a lab. The stall and delay tactics and giving the mechanic a hard time has to stop by SilverRock and they need to step up and assist in getting this engine work completed not resist it.
I have a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium edition
I have a 2014 Ford Escape Titanium edition. I've had this vehicle for almost 2 years. I had a transmission issue silver rock honored. Now I am having issues with my engine and silver rock is trying to say I have not maintained oil changes. The mechanical shop says you can tell the vehicle had been maintained very well and has fresh oil in it. Kyle owns the shop proceeded to tell me silver rock's inspector came on a Saturday and said it is an engine problem and that silver rock would fix it. Kyle said someonefrom silver rock called and said they are denying the claim. I call silver rock who tells Me I am not allowed to have copies of any of the paperwork to do with my car. Silver rock's customer management team proceeds too read a clause that says I should have verifiable documentation/receipt's to show for anything done to car to prove maintenance. Every time oil was changed and tribe tires on as well as clay transmission's service is is on the carfax. Plus whatever else from before. I just want my repair honored as promised by drivetime I bought the car and silver rock. This isn't right and feels like fraud.
SilverRock was assigned to handle some minor cosmetic damage to my vehicle that occurred during delivery
SilverRock was assigned to handle some minor cosmetic damage to my vehicle that occurred during delivery. They sent me to their representing site for a repair estimate - the nearest which was a 30 minute drive away. After confirming, I could take my car, their representing site said they could not help me because their appraiser was not in and they asked me to come back. I had to convince them to take photos of my car and take down the damages because they'd asked me to drive over. They were supposed to send a full report to Silver Rock the next day. It took a significant number of phone calls to both, SilverRock and their repair facility. SilverRock said there was nothing they were willing to do to push their representative site to produce the report. After 2 weeks, the report was finally sent and the claim was approved. By which time, SilverRock said they can only authorize the repairs at their same partner that provided the terrible service in the first place. I did not agree. I told them if they had a repair estimate, to please send me the funds and I would pay for the repair at a facility of MY CHOICE where I would fee comfortable. Not at their service-lacking centers. They said this was not possible. This company will do all they can to delay, and be able to deny claims.

I Financed a 2014 Dodge Dart SXT from a dealership in late July which is my first car so I was very happy. The car seemed to be in good shape so I accepted it. The car has an ongoing warranty from SilverRock. In late August, I was driving when the car got stuck in reverse so I called the dealership and they routed me to SilverRock roadside assistance. They sent a tow company to get the car and the tow company dropped it off at a repair shop. The repair shop did the repairs on the car which were Trans shift cable replacement and a new battery which came out to a total of $632.01. I didn't have the money for repairs so I contacted SilverRock to see if they would cover it. SilverRock only paid for the battery so I was still stuck with a $400+ fee to get my car back. They said they couldn't cover the trans shift cable repair because it has an open recall which in fact it does not. I contacted a local Dodge dealership and the recall is under the name of "shift cable bushing" which is not in fact the "shifter cable". They are two separate parts so SilverRock still wouldn't accept the claim even though I explained this to them. The repair shop had to take the parts off of my car since I couldn't pay for the repairs. Now I am stuck with a non-drivable car that I haven't even driven over 3000 miles yet and it is very upsetting and has been a terrible experience.

My name is [Your Name] and I've reached out to you all previously about an issue I've been having in regards to the vehicle I've recently purchased on 12/27. I am emailing because I no longer am interested in the vehicle and am requesting a full refund for the deposit that was made and the first initial car payment that I have already made. I am still within my legal rights timeframe of under 30 days to have the vehicle returned and to request a FULL refund of any payments made! The vehicle I was sold has been a mechanical nightmare! The date I originally had set for purchase on 12/23 I was told the vehicle was not found which was why it wasn't delivered, however reviewing the carfax I see that the vehicle was located and had a failed emissions test. Prior to me purchasing the vehicle on 11/13 the vehicle had a major engine repair (valve cover gasket change) @ [mileage]. I purchased on 12/23 and the vehicle had @ [mileage]. [Mileage] is only a 2 mile difference since the repair had been made which proves the vehicle had not been tested and ensured that the issue was resolved before listing it for sale. Once I took the vehicle to [mechanic] on 12/15 I received the inspection report from them that the vehicle also has an oil pan engine leak! Now they are saying they won't cover the cost of my transmission flush and my vehicle has a hard shift and issues with the belt tensioner and radio.
I own a 2011 Buick Enclave from DriveTime in Charlotte that came with an extended warranty
I own a 2011 Buick Enclave from DriveTime in Charlotte that came with an extended warranty. The extended warranty company name is SilverRock Warranty. So, the motor went out multiple times and they decided to put another motor in it. This has happened three or four times, I'm not sure of the exact number. The issue is that they are sending me to places like Precision Auto Care and National Tire and Battery, which are not experienced in changing motors and other major parts of the car. Precision Auto Care attempted to fix it for a while, but then they told me that my air conditioning wasn't covered, even though it actually was. After the 34th time that my motor or timing was off, it turned out that all it needed was a timing kit. However, SilverRock continued to put in rebuilt motors. Frustrated, I took it to Randy M in Mooresville on Highway 150. They informed me that the air conditioning was covered by the warranty and that when they put the motor in, they cracked the motor mount, causing the car to shake. Since December 24th, Christmas Eve, I haven't driven my car. Someone needs to address this issue with the warranty company. Thank you, ma'am or sir.

On December 28 my 2016 BMW 428i with 31k miles had been waiting on SilverRock to come out to do a second opinion because it was calling for a rear differential. On [protected] I then started the follow up process regarding the estimated time of arrival of the appraiser going out to assess the car. Multiple calls and no communication back other than please wait *** hours to get a call back. Well, 3 days went by now it's 1/4. The assessment was complete and the parts will be ordered. Fast forwarding to today. My BMW representative calls to tell me that the Agent from Silver Rock ordered the wrong parts. Parts that came were a 2018 3 series. THIS IS A MISTAKE I STILL CAN'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND! My representative advised that we will be at the mercy of Silver Rock and how fast they will move, but now we are looking at another week. Unless Silver Rock will pay for the part we have in stock versus trying to find a used one (LKQ.) After speaking with ***. Floora (sp) the "SUPERVISOR" who sounds like a broken record repeating the same thing over. I will admit that triggered my disconnecting that call from her - I then call back and speak with *** "Supervisor" he started off with the same robotic approach. I advised him that the only compensation that I will accept is to authorize *** to repair with their in-house parts. They said No and to allow 24/48 hours to have the resolutions team follow up. To sum this up. My little sister is getting married and I am giving her away in place of my father. I am unable to get to Florida with my 3 kids and a wife. Both Floora and *** offered a rental maxing at $40 a day. That will get me a Corolla. I am 6'6 255. Resolution - I need my car repaired and OEM part installed by 1/14 to get to the wedding Friday in Florida.

They have not delivered on their promises within the 30 days of buying the vehicle I had major noticeable issues with rough idling I have brought it into a service center they had a contract with I received an alignment they declined to address the idling issues but they did not do a proper, did not want to work with silver rock even though they were contracted with them and to climb the second time to look at the.follow up at a separate location to try to address the rough idling issues again and silver Rock deny the claim saying it wasn't with me 30 days even though I have reported it prior to try to have it addressed but did not want to deal with it even though they were contracted with their rates. I have a vehicle that has continued to rough idle and only gets worse I did pay out of pocket to try to flush the system now come to find out when I plug in a reader my transmission runs hot it could be my IAC control or multiple things with the car that could have been easily diagnosable or any of the mechanics I brought it to you I'm not sure if silverrock is running an operation to wear their flatouts minimizing them to properly look at the vehicle to reduce cause I want this vehicle fixed probably this is a problem I did report multiple times and I have proof of that since the initial purchase of the vehicle I'm very frustrated at being sold a lemon with no lack of concern for customer who was sold a warranty they will not honor Eve I'm staying strong along to try to get out of the warranty. To sell me a product they have no want in honoring. I'm a single mother nurse who has no other form of transportation losing my vehicle would be a huge detriment along with the false pretenses I was sold a warranty that would protect me that has done anything but that
My truck's engine went out on Jan
My truck's engine went out on Jan. 20, 2021. I found out that the engine still was covered by the extended warranty. I called SilverRock Inc. to discuss this matter. I had the truck towed to Monteith Tire on Jan. 21, 2021. I had to get a rental because I am a single mother of 4 and I travel a lot for my job. SilverRock said that they were not guaranteed to reimburse me for the rental because they cover $25.99 and I am currently paying $31.05/day for a rental. The first issues started when they said I never sent over the receipts for all the oil changes I had on the truck since I had it. I sent them over on Jan 22nd and I let them know that I received a confirm email from them on the same day stating they received them. I re-sent them again on the 27th of Jan. SilverRock let the mechanic know that the engine will be there on Feb. 5th. The mechanic called me on the 10th of Feb. to tell me that he had not received the engine and that he will have to take my car off his roster because he can not fix something if he does not have the part. My mother called and they told her it will be there on the 12th of Feb. The 17th of Feb. came and my mom called again to locate it. She was told it would be there no later than Friday, Feb. 19th due to the weather. They also told her they did not know where it was located it could be in [specific location]. I called and spoke with a supervisor about the matter and asked about the reimbursement for the rental. Supervisor said that they will reimburse me but at this time they do not know how long I will be out of my car. He said the engine was located somewhere in [specific location]. I called the mechanic and he called to get some information and he located my engine which was in Mississippi at a warehouse that was closed due the weather. Here we are today they said the engine was in [specific location], In.
My sister & I bought a car from drivetime
My sister & I bought a car from drivetime. The employee talked us into getting an extended warranty for an extra $5000. My sister wanted it to have that extra security. It's a part of the loan, but now they won't pay to repair the engine - which is covered in the warranty - because we don't have receipts. We've had the car for two years on the 30th of this month. This is a used car that had over 100,000 miles when we got it. So, we've definitely had to pay for brakes, tires, oil changes, a radiator hose issue (we financed it and were able to log on to our old account to show them that receipt), etc. This vehicle was a part of the class action suit against GM because these SUVs consume a lot of oil. We have bought plenty of oil for our suv. The class action didn't help us because we were over the mileage requirement. And now silverrock won't help because we don't have receipts showing the money we've had to put in for the upkeep of our car. That makes no sense. There's an engine problem that's covered. Silverrock sent their person to check our suv out, their person agreed it was a bad engine problem, and now they're saying they won't help us because of receipts. When we got the last oil change in August before it broke down in September, the shop put a sticker on it with the date. That should be considered a receipt showing when we had the oil changed last. When silverrock was going to cover a fuel pump issue in November , they never asked for receipts. The rep just told us to find someone new because the mechanic got an attitude with her. So, we just went with a local person who was able to get things up and running with no hassle/for a low cost/waiting time. Because my sister NEEDS her car. She has a front-line job, and her car is necessary for her to work & to support her family. Now we have a loan and no car.
I purchased an extended warranty from above company in May
I purchased an extended warranty from above company in May. In Aug of 2019 my vehicle developed a timing chain issue. I contacted the warranty company to file a claim. Although they were informed that my particular engine had a TSB stating they were prone to timing chain issues, their remedy for the timing chain was to change the engine with a used one which in May developed a timing chain issue of its own, and another used engine was installed. The second engine arrived in worse condition than the first one, with timing chain issues already present. Which was replaced. The service technician informed me that the engine sent was in such poor condition that it needed the fuel system cleaned, throttle body cleaned, and engine decarb service, which I paid for myself. The second engine developed a Low Oil Pressure problem only after a few miles. I took vehicle back to the technicians for diagnosis of the low oil pressure warning. They informed me of a possible leaking seal in the oil pan pick-up tube. They contacted my warranty company about the possible issue, but were denied due to it being seals. I couldn't afford to pay the $2500 out of pocket, so I took my vehicle home. No warnings were illuminated as I drove. A couple days later, I drove it for another estimate, hoping to find a cheaper price. As I drove to the other shop, I got the low oil pressure warning once again. I pulled over as quickly and safely as possible. As I pulled over the engine died, never to restart. Now my engine is seized after only about 10-15 miles. I am being denied coverage due to " continued use" of an engine that was clearly defective in the first place. A customer should't have to worry if the engines place in their vehicles are going to fail and be left carless. If I had been going down the highway instead of town it cound have been catastrophic. This company blames the customers for their faulty engines and doesn't take responsibilty.
