I placed an order for above after visiting a showroom while on business trip in Houston TX. My wife and I explained the type of platform bed we have, and the salesperson informed us it would work fine with the mattress we wanted! Our delivery date was 11/9/2023! The install got into our bedroom and told us we needed to remove the 2 drawers at the end of the bed and all the slots bolted to the bed. That of course was a no no and would ruin out bed over a short being of time. They called dispatch and she requested to see out bed and confirm the installers request and we declined and exchange the adjustable bed for the temperature regulated slots. That required another visit, and they left us with the mattress at 50 % compression. Upon the second visit the temperature control sleeves were placed above the mattress with these tan looking sleeves on each side of the bed, with an external pump outside the bed. My wife called me out of a church meeting and was furious. We cancelled the order and demanded a refund. When I got home, I notice they did not take to mattress back, in fact the manager informed me the there is a minimum 30-day trail required before a return before they could accept a request return. I ask the manager what was I testing! I never got anything I paid for ($5059.42) Then she told me there was a return fee $250 plus tax to have it picked before the 30-day return. The new return date is December 9,2023 and that is 31 days after Nov 9, so again why are they charging for the return. The level of incompetence and confusion, being placed on hold and every time she attempted to close the order there was an error! This became a nightmare of dishonest and very poor customer service!
Claimed loss: My time and the inconvenience
Desired outcome: I was a full refund and no charging, because they want to force to keep the incomplete set up they left behind after taking my money. SHAME ON SLEEP NUMBER!!!
