There was once a great catalog?
Many years ago, Frontgate was an Uber- high end catalog. Years ago I bought a shower head that still provides the ultimate shower experience. Over 15 years ago, a stainless steel dish rack crafted in Italy still as good looking and functional as it was then. Fast forward to present(2023). The catalog is filled with low-end junk. It's not the Lillian Vernon catalog, but heading in that direction. The last things I purchased had to be returned or simply failed and didn't get returned. There are some decent quality products but you need to search. Descriptions are flowery but products fail to deliver. Worse, when they offer a discount, putting in additional codes voids the discount.ie: free shipping offer is only attainable if you void the discount. An item on sale goes back to original msrp. And their shipping charges are outrageous. $32. To ship a solar path light UPS ground. In their own shipping section they state $29. Gets you next day shipping. This kind of egregious sales tactic is so far from the Frontgate I once knew. I will need to say goodbye.

I just received 5 luminara candles with remotes! These are soooo well made and awesome. I had all 5 on at the same time and used the remote (works on all at the same time) to turn them off, so easy and they are beautiful also. I will be ordering more. Totally recommend these!

Frontgate is a company that has caused me a lot of trouble lately. I've been dealing with them for two whole months now, trying to exchange a defective piece of furniture that I purchased for $3,000. At first, Frontgate offered to either refund or replace the item. I decided to go with a replacement, but unfortunately, the replacement item arrived damaged. I was really frustrated at this point, so I decided to just return the original piece for a refund.

And now, two weeks after the item left my home, I still haven't received my refund. When I contacted Frontgate about this, they told me that they haven't received the item yet in their warehouse.
To be honest, I don't think that's a valid excuse. It's not my fault that the shipping company hasn't delivered the item yet. Frontgate should be able to confirm that the item was picked up and in the same condition as when it left my home. If they can't do that, then shame on them!
Overall, I'm really disappointed with my experience with Frontgate. Dealing with them has been a real headache, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I called them up again and they said they got the clock back and gave me a credit, but they didn't include the shipping charges. I told them I didn't order two clocks, so why should I have to pay for the shipping? They told me to call my bank to see if the credit went through, but my bank said there was no credit. I called Frontgate again (this is the fifth time now) and they said they would look into it. If I don't see a credit on my card in the next 48 hours, I'm going to have my bank give me my money back and Frontgate won't get paid for the clock I returned. This company has terrible customer service and I'm never buying from them again.

So, I recently bought an outdoor umbrella with stand and an extra weight from Frontgate. Unfortunately, I ordered a small umbrella and decided to go for the next one bigger. When we opened the box for the stand, we forgot if the piece you screw in to the base came in the same box. I called Frontgate and they proceeded to tell me to return the piece. Well, everything after that just turned into a mess! After speaking with many representatives and supervisors, they had to send another base along with the piece you screw into the base (they stated that they could not just remove the piece that we needed from the box)! Plus, they sent me another weight for the base that we did NOT need. Then they wanted to charge me shipping on top of that!
Upon having to call them once again, I had to repeat this ongoing story to another representative. She was going to contact UPS for pickup and had the audacity to tell me if I did not have the merchandise ready for pick up after three attempts by UPS, Frontgate was going to charge me again for the merchandise! Can you believe that?
I must say, I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Frontgate. It was a complete hassle to get the right parts for my umbrella stand. I had to speak with many representatives and supervisors, and it took a lot of time and effort to finally get everything sorted out.
In the end, I would not recommend shopping at Frontgate. The customer service was not up to par, and the whole experience was just a headache. If you're looking for outdoor furniture and accessories, I suggest looking elsewhere. Save yourself the trouble and frustration.

Anyway, I remembered that I had a $50 gift card from Christmas and asked if I could use it. The operator said it was okay and proceeded to place my order. But when I was reading out the gift card number, I noticed that there was a small expiration date of 03/2016. I had no idea that there was an expiration date attached to my gift card, so I told the operator. She said that she couldn't help me, but I could speak to her supervisor.
I explained my problem to the supervisor, but she said there was nothing she could do to help me. The gift card was sent out in December and there was no way for them to look into an expired card. I was really upset because it was a lot of money to just waste, and all I wanted to do was use the gift card that was given to me. I even asked if there was anything they could do to look into the expired gift card, but the supervisor said no. I've been a loyal customer, but it seems like they don't care about that.

Recently, about three months ago, we pulled out the new rack and used it, but the teak shelves started coming off after just a few weeks. I called the company and they authorized a return label and arranged for a return of the item. I requested a gift card or a replacement product, and they agreed to it.
I used their pre-paid label and dropped off the item at UPS. However, a few months went by, and I called them to find out about the package, but they were only able to track it down after two months. Elizabeth, the shipping manager at Frontgate, needed the invoice, which was supplied in the package. Unfortunately, I had misplaced the copy of the invoice, but they did confirm that they had received the product back.
When I reached out to Charles Jacoby in February, he appeared willing to help, but now he said that I was out of luck on the item, and they wouldn't stand behind their own product warranty. This is not in line with their Frontgate Guarantee, which states that they guarantee that every product they sell will stand up to their customers' satisfaction. I feel very ripped off now, especially since they are keeping the product and not offering a gift card or replacement product, as we had requested and arranged well before we mailed it back to them.
We reached out to their local BBB, but after a few back and forth reports, they basically dropped the complaint. If Frontgate had not agreed to take the item back and not sent me a return label and not authorized to start that process, it would be different. In our neck of the woods, that's stealing, and it doesn't sit well with us that they never sent that item back and kept it, broken or not. It was a lousy ordeal!
Frontgate had a new manager contact us, but she only went over the same details and offered no solution. I told her to call me back when she has a proper resolution and hung up the phone. Calling a customer to argue is not something anyone needs. The original founder, Paul Tarvin, of Frontgate was outstanding! Since Frontgate's inception, the focus has always been on courteous, personalized attention, but not anymore. They are being run by whoever now, and it's lousy for a higher-end catalog company (imagine they want to be so pristine) to treat any customer this way. I'm sure if this happened to them, they would feel ripped off too!

On 03/10/15 I have place an order with "FRONTGATE" the first person that I spoke to was very friendly and make feel at ease when placing my order I have order 5 manchester counter stool which is one of their signature items at the end of the phone call I was told that my order was going to be ship on 03/18/15 and that I should be receiving the stools shortly after that, the very next day I called to cancel one of them and when we were finish the guy told me that my order was push to a farther day do to the change you will think that if anything that will make it faster since they will have less items to ship but it was not the case a few days later I received two emails one to confirm my order and a second one telling me that my order was delayed again I let it go because they have only delayed by a few days but when I received an third email advising me of yet an other delay I had it I made a phone call and ask them why and I was told that because this item has such a high demand they did not get enough item to fulfill such a large demand one will hope that they will warn you about that at the time when you call to place that order but of course they will never do that because they want you hook. I have told the person on the line that I was disappointed because they offer me that product and to my acknowledge the item was available she offer to change my order to an expedite shipment so that the stools will get to me sooner and I was even more relieved when she told me that the new shipping date was a few days earlier then the one before so I was happy well the happiness did not lost very because I received a fourth email telling me the same thing again just like a broken record an I knew I have to make yet another call this time I told them that I feel like I was lie to and that they really needed to be honest with people and tell them how it was up front this guy began to tell me their little rehears line once again about this item been so popular I told him that I didn't care that could not keep on doing this to people offering something that they could not provide he said that he was very sorry and he offer me free shipping but when he tried to go on the system the shipment charges could not be removed because they could not charge me for an item that they have not yet provided to me but he ensure me that once the item was shipped they will remove those charges for me I agree I told him that I did not wanted an other email telling me that my order was delayed anymore he told me that they were going to make it a priority so that this will not happen but I suppose FRONGATE is not capable of fulfilling any of their promises I probably received a total of 8 to 10 emails with delayed notices and I decide that enough was enough I called to complaint once again and this time the person on the phone was rude and told me that they never make any promises that the dates of shipment that they give you are only a tentative date and not a promise at all but the funny thing is their emails do not said that I ask to talk to a supervisor and this person began to tell all the same things that I have already heard and I told her that they have already told me that and that I wanted them to deliver this time because they have push my shipment farther and farther then the original day and I ask her to double check and make sure that it was the absolute last time that I had to call or received an other email but surprise surprise when she check they have yet another email that I have never received saying that they were sorry to tell me that my shipment was delayed until may 11 I could not believed that my order was going to take two months to get to me who does that how can a company be so inaccurate and sell you things that are not even available how can they lie and lie and lie and think that they can get away with their false advertisement is this some kind of game to them rather then a business because thats what it seems to me that this company is. It is nothing but a scam and a big ridiculous joke.
I am so disappointed and will never attempt to order anything from them again unless they offer me the deal of the century I fell as if I was catfish because just like the show I spoke to people that I never met and I was in love with a product that to me it never existed because I never hold it in my hands it was just a fantasy nothing but an illusion what a joke.

So, I recently ordered a couple of barstools from Frontgate. I was pretty excited to receive them, but unfortunately, I only got one of them. I called up customer service to ask about the second one, and they were surprised to hear that I had received one already. Apparently, their records didn't show that one had been shipped. I asked when I could expect the second one, and they said it was packed and ready to go at any time.
I've been calling them every day for the past four days, and every time I get a different version of the same story. Today, I finally asked for my inquiry to be escalated, and I was transferred to another customer service rep. This person assured me that the barstool would be shipped out today.
Later on, I received an email saying that the barstool had indeed been shipped, and they even gave me a tracking number. I was pretty relieved to hear that, but when I checked the tracking number on the shipping company's website, it wasn't found. Seriously?!

We was so excited to get our hands on some new Christmas decorations for the upcoming holiday season, and Frontgate seemed like the perfect place to shop. I went to Frontgate's store in Dallas, TX at the Grand Legacy in October. When I walked in, I saw a ton of holiday decorations and over 100 Santa figurines. I asked a salesperson if they had any brown Santa's, and the conversation got ridiculous. The salesperson told me that they might have some in the back, but they don't have any Hispanic Santa's.
I mean, come on! Frontgate needs to get with the times and add some diversity to their leadership team. It's 2019, and they should know better than to only have white Santa's. It's not like they don't have customers of different races and ethnicities. They need to do better and make sure that everyone feels included and represented.

I've shopped with plenty of other companies before and never had this kind of issue. It's just ridiculous that Frontgate won't do the right thing and refund my money. I'm definitely not shopping with them again and I'm telling all my friends to avoid them too. I mean, who wants to deal with a bunch of con artists who don't care about their customers? I'm even thinking about reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I mean, if they're gonna pull this kind of stuff on me, who knows how many other people they've scammed? It's just not right. Frontgate Review: Terrible Customer Service and Delivery Delays
Order number W8019722 was placed on May 15th, 2018 for an outdoor set from Frontgate. We were excited to receive our purchase and eagerly awaited its arrival, which was supposed to be in a month. However, a month went by and we received no communication or delivery. We spent hours on customer service, only to be told that it would be delivered in another month. Another month went by and we found ourselves in the same situation. We spent more hours on customer service, trying to get an update on our order.
Finally, after three months, part of our order arrived, but unfortunately, one item was incorrect. We contacted customer service again and the wrong item was replaced. However, this happened again and we received yet another incorrect item. It has now been four months since we placed our $7,000 order and we still have no idea when we will receive our patio furniture. Unfortunately, summer has come and gone and we were unable to enjoy our outdoor space as we had hoped.
We strongly advise against ordering from Frontgate. We have had an extremely frustrating experience and we do not want anyone else to go through the same thing. We have posted this review on every site we can find, in the hopes of preventing others from wasting their hard-earned money on this website. It is disappointing that we cannot give zero stars, as this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. We urge you to look at the reviews before making a purchase, as the only 5-star review is actually a 5-negative star review.

So, I was browsing Frontgate's website and stumbled upon some really nice barstools that were on sale for $119 each, down from their original price of $500. The only problem was that they were 30 inches tall and I needed 24 inches. I decided to give them a call and see if they could match the sale price for the 24 inch ones. The person on the phone said they could, but I would need to provide proof of the sale price from their website.
I submitted the proof and waited for their response, which was a bit sluggish. However, during this time, Frontgate sent me an email thanking me for my business and offering me free shipping with my next order, in addition to their best online deal. I thought this was a great offer and asked if it could be applied to my current order. Unfortunately, they said that only one promotion could be used at a time.
I explained that neither of these were promotions, but they agreed via email to honor the sale price and the free shipping. However, after several calls, they changed their minds and said they could only give me 35% off the barstools (even though everything sitewide was 30% off) and offered me the free shipping that I already had. This caused my order to go from $500 to $1400, which was extremely frustrating.
Overall, I found Frontgate to be an overpriced site with multiple people making mistakes and offering me false things. I will not be placing any more orders with them in the future.
Disappointing Quality and Customer Service: My Experience with Frontgate's Sea Shell Pool Float
I gotta tell ya, I was pretty excited when I ordered this super thick and expensive sea shell pool float from Frontgage a few weeks back. I mean, I've always been a fan of the Frontgate brand and I figured this thing would last me a good 5 to 10 years, easy. But boy was I wrong.
So I put the float in my pool house until my grandsons (ages 3 and 5) came to visit. We were all super pumped to try it out on the first day of pool use, but wouldn't ya know it, a big ol' 6 inch crack appeared at the tail. And it only got worse from there. By the end of the day, there was a 2 foot crack all the way through the middle of the float! I couldn't believe it.
Naturally, I reached out to Customer Service at Frontgate, thinking they'd quickly and efficiently replace the faulty product. But nope. They wanted me to return the heavy, bulky, and completely useless float to them before they'd even consider sending me a replacement. I mean, have they ever heard of customer service? What kind of inconvenience is that for me? And don't even get me started on the packaging. I mean, where am I supposed to find a box big enough for this thing?
Honestly, I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed. I never thought the Frontgate brand would stoop to such poor product quality and service. It's just plain stupid.

In April 2022 frontgate sent me a promotional $50 gift card. I used it to order 6 stozle red wine glasses. Even though they r selling these glasses on their website they repeatedly tell me they r out of stock. Amazon also sells them. I have called and written to customer service w no answers. Because I have changed addresses frontgate changed my order number and date so that it appears that I ordered the glasses this fall rather than back in April.

Item rust inside with safety concern. No resolve with customer service as they informed of a 90 day return policy and 1 year warranty. No offer to provide any resolve with correcting an item that is clearly unsafe for family use. Over priced items that are unsafe and poor quality along with inferior customer service!

I have ordered from Frontgate for years, without incident or complaint. This year is far different. I ordered 5 sets of the Cafe Table/Chairs. My order was so screwed up, I nearly gave up. After finally getting the 5 sets in over 6 different deliveries, my order was apparently duplicated and I had a garage full of extra tables and chairs that I had to arrange to send back. This one simple order took nearly two full months and roughly 8 hours of phone calls to complete and correct.
The final straw for me was today. I ordered $600 worth of bathroom accessories. I received half my order yesterday. I called three different times (once yesterday and twice today) and was given three different answers. The final outcome was that my remaining items would be shipped 12/31/19!
Why would I wait four months for a trash can? Why did they ship out an incomplete set? I had to ask for pre paid label to return the items I have received! Are you kidding me?
The website is still showing a shipment date of 8/21! I told them to change the date as it is deceptive to future shoppers! Check out the Padova collection and listen to the lies they spill! Ridiculous!
Since the merger with QVC, this company has gone to hell. I will never order from Frontgate/Grandin Road again. I will be canceling my Frontgate credit card and having my name removed from the email and mailing list. Ordering from this company is not worth the aggravation!

Made a purchase with a gift card and paid the remaining with credit card. I needed to return an item and the amount has been placed back on the gift card. I spend $45 over the gift card and the return was $30. Therefore I should have been given a refund on my card. Nope - they will only give me a gift card so now I have to buy something I don't need. Very discouraging. I would totally understand if the amount I paid was not over the gift card. But seriously - I am now held hostage to making another purchase. Poor customer service indeed.

This company has been great in the past. Not anymore. I have had the worst experience ever this summer. I ordered 4 umbrella stands and 4 umbrellas. I am now on my 7th shipment for the stands. The first two were rejected due to damage. They sent me additional stands, some in boxes that were in shreds, some with no box and only a shipping tag.
I have spent hours on the phone with this issue and the resolution is unacceptable. I have to box the four stands I have left. At 130 lbs each and considering I am handicapped, this is something I will have to hire to be completed.
I am shocked at what I have gone thru with my umbrellas but then I ordered a wicker outdoor storage chest that was delivered damaged.
Certainly won't be ordering again from Frontgate.

Front gate sent me a replacement Millie Chest Sunshine due to the first one being damaged by Grandin Road. The chest sent by FG came in worse condition, if that could happen. I did speak to Elizabeth from FG Customer Service. I would give this woman a promotion. She sincerely apologized for the condition of the chest. She referred me to PS/Frongate.com to make a complaint.
I have yet to receive my refund with shipping cost and tax.

I purchased epicenter tickets 12/14/2019. I paid via lay a way which their site stated secure ticket was included. About 1.25 weeks before my sons fiances grandfather passed. I provided all infornation required and stayed in constans contact. Was lied to, lead on, treated poorly, told not to sell tickers while waiting on answer, and in the end at 5:30 the day before the event was told it would not ne granted. They say because iy wasnt immediate family, but in their terms the ticketholder is any the ticket was gifted so that does make it immediate family. Please look into this and help. I have been forced to file a complaint with bbb, will take to social media md legal actions if required.

I have never been so disgusted and dissatisfied with a retailer in my entire life. I purchased an $8, 000 outdoor sofa in April 2018 and Frontgate still has not satisfied my order. They have sent me the wrong piece 3 times now. I have talked to two GMs, one concierge because the other will not call me back, several store associates and I am at my wits end.
I will be lodging a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General if somebody from the corporate office does not call me back within the next two weeks. And somebody that has the authority to get this resolved.

In the past, I have ordered two Grand Nobel Christmas Trees from Frontgate in 2006 and 2013. Both trees had light and tip failures. My latest tree lasted four years before sections of the lights began going out. I called Frontgate and asked if I could buy additional lights from them and was told that they do not sell lights to customers, and preserve the extra lights for consumers with Christmas trees three years old or less. They advised me to go out and purchase the lights from Lowe's, Walmart, Home Depot, Target etc., I soon discovered that no one sells the exact lights (which is needed on these trees). When I called Frontgate back, I was told that the lights are proprietary to Frontgate and my best bet would be to string my own lights. Really? Why would I spend good money on a tree to restring with other lights? How tacky is that? The tips are suppose to have a life time warranty on them, but Frontgate isn't honoring that commitment either.
Since this issue started I have read hundreds and hundreds of complaints from consumers stating that Frontgate doesn't stand behind their products or rectify any of the issues. I personally believe that corporate executives at Frontgate and the CEO should be made aware of how badly this company is treating their customers regarding defective merchandise. Is it only about the money? Perhaps if more dissatisfied customers join together and make public about this company we can help others avoid doing business with Frontgate. I will certainly do my part and will Never order anything more from them and tell my friends and family to share my experience.
