Missing package. East London Hub
I have had the worst experience with East London post office and Mthatha I ordered a package from the Netherlands in 02/11/23. Package arrived in South Africa, transported and scanned in East London post office Eastern Cape on the 14/12/23 (which is 3 hours from the post office where I am supposed to receive it) but still I have not received it. I have called customer services countless times, I went to Mthatha post office but still received no help or clear answer as to where my package is. This is just unacceptable
Recommendation: Never Never use the post office for delivery

Package arrived in South Africa, transported and scanned in East London post office Eastern Cape on the 15/12/23 (which is 3 hours from the post office where I am supposed to receive it ) authorised for delivery to Mthatha but somehow never made it there till date . I have called customer service multiple times but not a single one of the consultants gave me a clear helpful answer. I have also emailed the customer service but still haven’t received any helpful response. This is an acceptable. Mthatha also has not even made an attempt to call East London to enquire about this parcel. I wrote emails to both eastern London and Mthatha and have not received any response

The post office received my parcel on the 27/03/2024 to be sent by Air to Ireland, I was told 5-7 working days and I paid for this service. It is now the 06/05/2024, 41 days later and my parcel has still not left South Africa! No one answers the phones and I have sent numerous emails to find out where my parcel is and when will it be arriving in Ireland. To date I have still not received a response from customer service!
Desired outcome: I would like my parcel to be delivered, the service that I paid for.

Cape Town A Air priority letter.
I’ve sent a parcel to Poland on the 27/7/23. I was advised that it will reach on or about 2-4 weeks tops. It’s been six months already. I’ve use the tracking number and no tracking information is available. After the 14 August it reads “This is the final status. Carrier doesn't provide further tracking updates.” I wrote a letter to SAPO and they response were it’s still in transit. I can’t pick it up even via the Polish carriers or European Union. I’ve given up and very irritated and disgusted by the service. I wil not recommend anyone or even my worse enemy to use the Postal Services. I think it has been stolen what else! Sorry I’m just done!

Courier services and mail delivery
We baught this house 4 years ago and only recieved mail 4 times. Now adays if we get mail it is for the wrong address. We have been waiting for 3 parcels since 27 july 2023 that is at the welkom hub but has not been delivered to steynsrus. We have been complaining for months on end with no outcome and it is not getting any better. I have a parcel coming in from joom as well but I am scared to order anything online since we have not been getting our post on time.
Desired outcome: I just want my mail and parcels here on time and without so much hassle.
JIMC warehouse and delivery
I have a package from the US that has been sitting there for over a month.
They sing the same song every time i call and all they can say is no vehicles to transport my item to the post office backlogs and so on i must wait EVERYTIME I GET INTO THEM AND REQUEST FOR A MANAGER OT TEAM LEADER THE CALL IS DROPPED ON ME, how long does a person wait?

Been on transport to local sorting center for over 24 days. SA Post Office Customer Service is non existent.
My package that I ordered in April which was estimated to be delivered by the 23rd May 2023 is still not delivered. The SAPO customer care numbers never get answered and they never respond to emails either. No wonder this SOE is also collapsing, the people there don't want to work. I was able to track my package smoothly until it got to South Africa. My package has been at the sorting center now for almost two months with no traction. I wonder if i should just cut my losses and assume that my package has been stolen as this seems to be a norm in this country.

Theft of 2 parcels in transit
I ordered 7 parcels from Aliexpress.com in November 2022. At the beginning of February 2023 the tracking system indicated that 6 of the parcels had been delivered at the local post office, Benoni Post Office. One parcel had not yet made it to the collection point, either the Daveyton East or Benoni Post Office.
On 7 February 2023 I went to Benoni Post Office to collect the parcels. The manager told me that only 3 parcels had been delivered at their branch and the other 3 were delivered at Daveyton East Post Office. She further informed me that 2 of the 3 parcels in their facility were stolen and a case of theft was opened at the local police station. She gave me an email address to send her proof purchase for the parcels so that she could start a compensation process. Later that day, I emailed her the proof as requested, also requesting the docket number of the case. She never responded to my email.
I tried to call her office for the next 2 days till Friday 9 February 2023, either no one answers or the phone is offline. I went to the post office on 10 February and the personnel there told me she was out of office. I've a feeling that for some reason she is avoiding me. I also have doubts as to whether a case of theft has been opened, and suspect an inside job in the whole matter.
The contents of each of the 2 parcels were a pair of men's boots, one costing $98.00 and the other $48.30. The order details are as follows:

Desired outcome: I'd be happy to be refunded the full cost of my loss which is $146.30, plus the cost of shipping which for the 2 parcels is $43.61.
sapomvl - another goverment rip off
Specifically related to SAPOMVL.. The so called online Motor Vehicle License renewal offered by SAPO
Long story short - application completed, money paid, no further reponse what so every from the Customer Service department, portal enquiries or telephone calls
Absolutely disgusting - yet again the public is being defrauded by a Goverment body!
This is with reference to quotes QNP33357-PNY356W & QNP33357-SDH578W for the full amount of R2570.80 was paid.

Good day. I am waiting for a parcel that arrived on the 30 August 2022. Parcel was scanned in at JIMC on 05 September 2022. The parcel is showing that it is still in transit at JIMC. How long will it take before I will receive my parcel in Cape Town? Parcel tracking number is RG005692396CN. The ETA is 14 September in Cape Town but the tracking shows that it is still in transit. Was meant to be a gift to someone but will probably not arrived in time.
Online Vehicle License Renewal
Regrettably, I submitted a request to renew my vehicle license on 11 August 2022. Paid for courier delivery and for the renewal via their online platform.
It is now 24 August- their site shows that the license was dispatched. Nothing received to date.
They make use of an online enquiry system only. When you contact the post office you hold on average 20 minutes, greeted by a miserable agent who drops the phone when she hears you complaining about the pathetic service.
No response to queries logged online; call Centre not answering.
Message to the SAPO Operations Officer and Executive Team: You can implement the best online systems and payment platforms and spend millions thereon. If you have incompetent people who have no pride in their job to deliver it is futile.
Desired outcome: Deliver my vehicle license

I sent a parcel from cape Town to kzn on the 28th of July . Since today my little sister didn't receive it ,here is the tracking number PE951355501ZA . I called cape town they said it was scanned to Durban when im calling Durban they said they didn't receive it . At im worried because it something for her to study she is doing matric. Im very disappointed. I use to use SAPO in JHB it never disappoint me and also the number for customer service is not working, tried even to send an email still no response

Online license disk application
I renewed my MVL on the sapomvl.co.za/PostOffice website, paid in full for the vehicle license plus delivery fee R855.00 (Quote Number: QNP25752), and was informed via mail and WhatsAPP the payment was successful and that deliver will take place within 3-5 working days (Reference No: TH000005813ZA). This was on the 31 May 2022. Till date I have not received any deliver on the said vehicle license, NO response to any of my queries or updates on when the vehicle license will be delivered (Reference Number: MVLT110611223113. I have tried to call the call centre on several occasions,
I even visit our local post office to try and see if they can assist me, but they can not do anything on the motor vehicle license. I have been driving around with an expired vehicle license now and I'm not sure what to do next? with no help offered from SAPO

Motor vehicle license online renewal
I have done the online quote for license renewal on 05/04/2022, during payment it failed, and I logged a technical fault. Received a Whatsapp to confirm the ticket. one month later on 05/05/2022 I was able to pay the quoted amount of R813. By 17/05, have not yet received any feedback or license. Then requested a refund, received a WhatsApp to acknowledge receipt of the request... then nothing. On 31/05, logged back into the dashboard to see that there is now an additional amount of R258 to be paid. and my original invoice now only read R738 (no longer the R813 which I have already paid). so in total paid R75 more than what is required. 02/06/2022 no license yet. Have tried to call the call center, but after about 30 minutes gave up. During this whole period, I have logged a number of tickets (at least 1ce a week) absolutely no response. I am illegal on the road at the moment, and cannot get a new license done. I am desperate for help to get this resolved.

I have attempted to do our company vehicles license disk renew online on the post office site, I paid as normal through their website. I was unsuccessful in upload the documents online so i then went in person and paid again and bought the licenses. I then requested a refund and submitted the refund form as requested to get back my online payment however it is almost 2 months and the reply i receive is "we have escalated it to our team for processing. I ordered a gift for daughter which arrived in South Africa on 19/12/2021 according to the tracking number and supplier, however to date I have not received it. I have been trying to get feedback on this parcel ever since. On 4/03/2022 I tracked it and saw that it was a failed delivery so I followed up with Martha Mahlase at International Mail, who advised me that my parcel had been sent to East London in error and that I should send an email requesting it to be re-routed. On the 4/03/2022, I did as advised and requested this to be done to which Martha responded and said I should expect the parcel the following week. A month later I am still waiting for the parcel. According to East London post office the parcel was dispatched to the East London hub on 05/03/2021 however when I spoke to Nosipho on 04/04/2022 she advised that she has no record of said parcel and the last tracking was 28/02/2022 which was scanned by Yvette at International mail. According to tracking last movement was in fact 05/03/2022 and this was when East London post office send the package back to The hub.
Desired outcome: I expect a reply and to have my parcel delivered.

It's almost april and I am very very frustrated. I have contacted the post office so many times and all they say is that they have not received the parcel even though THEY HAVE. It clearly states the parcel has reached Glenvista (my suburb).
Whom do I complain to? I am having panic attacks every day. I have paid with my hard earned money to get it delivered here. This is extremely unprofessional.

I have submitted and paid for the renewal of both my vehicle licenses on the new online renewal system "https://www.postoffice.co.za/", on the 3rd of March 2022. After payment was made, I was requested to re-submit the copy of my identity document, I promptly did so and marked the request as complete. Since this time the application has been stuck in a Re-Quote status.
I urgently need assistance, I have logged numerous support, complaint, and refund tickets on the website. I have received no assistance on the matter yet. I will now have to pay the full amount for both vehicles again in order to have them renewed, through a different channel as I cannot wait any longer.
