As more homes have solar panels installed, I wanted more information. A representative at the State Fair answered several questions and assisted in scheduling a home appointment during which the costs and advantages of solar power were disclosed. We contracted for an installation. Employees and contractors have worked professionally and we were notified in advance of times someone would be coming by to do work or conduct an inspection. Sparrow employees have always responded quickly with answers to my questions.

Fantastic company. Know their stuff and took care of me every step of the way including minor damages during install. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for solar.
They did a great job on the installation at one of the more competitive prices in my search. The electrician really went above and beyond when it came to connecting the panels to my house’s goofy old wiring system the day before Thanksgiving. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is the installation team could have done a better job on clean up as they left some debris behind them. I would absolutely recommend!

We had a very good experience overall
We had a very good experience overall. Communication was excellent, the actual work was solid, and now that the system is in everything is working great. The actual installation is quick—mostly done in a single day. The permit process is longer, but they are pros at all the paperwork and they take care of all that.

Sparrow believes in solar and is committed to getting things done
Sparrow believes in solar and is committed to getting things done. I had some issues which slowed the project and they also had some problems with organization (but resolved them); however when the time came to get the permit, inspection, and mount operational panels, and finish the job- they came through. The electricians know what they are doing, and so I am glad to have a working system. Solar is the way to go.

This company installed my solar system less than a year ago
This company installed my solar system less than a year ago. I now have 4 panels that have gone bad and have tried phone messages and emails for over a week and cannot get to talk to anyone about it. The receptionist politely takes messages, assures me someone will get back to me, and nothing. I am not fearing the the company may be going out of business because customer service appears to be the last of their worries.

From the start we have had problems with this company and they still haven't tried to make anything right
From the start we have had problems with this company and they still haven't tried to make anything right. We had solar panels installed, it took them over 3 months to turn them on because they forgot about us. We still paid the fee even though they forgot about us. They promised to refund the first few months we paid.. but guess what.. no money. After they finally turned them on, it still took several months for our regular power bill to get down to $10.. that only lasted for about 2 months then we started paying the usual price for our regular power along with the monthly fee for solar.. this u.s turning into us paying double to have solar, even its supposed to be saving us money. My husband and i have called them 5+ times each, just to leave a message with their receptionist with a promise they would call us back. Guess what happened next! NO CALL BACK! So after spending thousands for these stupid solar panels, we are basically just paying to store their panels on our roof. Long story short, They won't give anyone their time once they have the money.

I had an excellent experience with Sparrow Electric. Once I decided to look at solar power for my home, I met with several prominent solar companies. I sat through sales pitches and talked over what solar would look like for my home, and thought I was getting good service... except for the typical pushiness you so often get from commissioned sales. Then I met with Sparrow Electric. They were extremely professional, courteous, detailed, and worked with me at length to make sure that I was happy with the system. They even provided detailed specifications on the solar panels and inverters they use so that I could compare and feel confident that I was getting the best product I could and the best value for my money. They were significantly less expensive than other solar companies, had great financing options, offered premium products, and never pushed me to make a decision before I was ready. They handled all the permitting and paperwork and explained anything that was not clear to me. On the day of install they were punctual, efficient, and professional. They came early in the morning to complete the job before the roof warmed up to make sure they didn't damage any shingles, and they even tried to be as quiet as possible, knowing that my kids were still asleep. I really appreciated their attention to detail and I am confident I got the best value and the best service I could find. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
This company merits the lowest possible review
This company merits the lowest possible review. We signed a contract with them in early August to provide solar panels for our new custom home that was being framed. The salesman assured us that everything would be provided according to our contract with Sparrow. We contacted him when framing was being completed in September and he assured us that everything would be fulfilled as we had agreed. However, no-one ever came to the house for a site inspection and after many attempts to contact the company to get the prewire complete before the roof went on, one of the owners finally called and told us they would get it taken care of. However, the following afternoon he called and said they were "backing out of the contract because we had a wood shake or tile roof." We told him we had no such roof, but had a Certainteed asphalt shingle roof scheduled for installation. He then said, "Well, it doesn't matter because we don't ever install solar for new construction" I responded they knew that we were building a new home from the beginning--it was always completely clear with the salesman and the company when we had signed their contract in early August. He then said, "I'm sorry, but in reading the contract the salesman erred because they could not install Enphase microinverters or the panels specified in the contract." Wow, one dishonest excuse after another to get out of a signed contract without anyone from their company ever coming to even see the house framed. I said, "That is dishonorable and dishonest for you to sign a contract and then never honor it." He said the contract gave them that right in the fine print. My wife and I are flabbergasted. This is a dishonest business. As a former city councilmember in California who was very actively involved in solar, I urge customers to beware. We had solar panels on our California home for 8 years and helped bring it in a major way to our city. We moved to Utah and assumed we had found a good company in Sparrow Electric but have found the exact opposite.

I bought a solary panel from Sparrow Electric, LLC in July 2022. They offered a 10-year warranty for both parts and labor. Unfortunately, my system has started to malfunction due to faulty parts. I reached out to the manufacturer of the parts, and they agreed to honor the warranty. However, they requested that I speak to the installation company regarding the labor warranty. I've been trying to contact various individuals within the company, from the salesperson who convinced me to buy the product to the CEO. Sadly, no one answers the phone, and it seems like all the phone lines are no longer in service. It appears that the company may have gone out of business. Now, I'm left with repairs that should still be covered by the warranty and payments for a product that isn't functioning properly.

I started the process of gettin solar panels installed on my house with this company on July 28th. I signed a loan to pay for the solar panels. Payments start on October 24th. On August 24th the company installed the solar panels which is only half the job required. We also need a new breaker box installed to support the solar panels which was also to be done by the company after getting the approval from the *** where I live. As of today: September 25th nothing else has been done to finish the job they have been paid to do. I call the project manger at least twice a week with no contact or response back on an update of how or when they will finish the job. I feel like this is a scam company that is not going to finish the job.

I got my panels on my roof (not active) since February 25th. I heard from my project manager (Anastasiia) once on March 21st. I had to send a couple of emails to get a response. Once I said it was okay to pay after the installation, nobody calls or emails me back. I texted my sales rep ***, but no response. I emailed Duke and Anastasiia many times, but no response. I called their 'contact us' phone number, and the lady who took the message was nice and didn't seem surprised by what I was telling her, but still, no response. The install crew, like others have said in reviews, were great people. But the project team and sales team only care about getting paid. They sent me a message asking me to approve payment ASAP because it was very important to them, but apparently, getting my system installed and turned on as agreed is not important to Sparrow Electric. The second payment is due, and my home has damage from the installation that hasn't been fixed. The system still hasn't been inspected or turned on, and nobody will contact me. The system needs to be approved and turned on or canceled in the next 30 days.

We had Sparrow Electric install solar on our home back in 2019. It took them a while to get it up and running, but when it was working, it was great. Fast forward to Summer of 2022. We had a few higher than before solar panel bills and I thought maybe we were just using so much for A/C. We get to October and it was still very high. Now we get Novembers and it is still very high. I talked to Enphase, which is a company that monitors our solar panels. They said our output is fine but that the CT was never installed. Current Transformer was never installed. They asked us to contact our original installer. I have called all the numbers I can find for Sparrow Electric and none of them are active. Their website no longer works. Their app no longer works. They told us it would be a 10-year warranty and now they are nowhere to be found. We have a system that doesn't work or at least it isn't reporting to the electric company that it is, and Enphase wants me to pay for a different company to come install the CT that is missing. Enphase said they don't even know if it will make a difference.

We hired Sparrow Electric, LLC to install a solar system for our house in February cuz they said our electricity bills would be lower than before. But the system they gave us ain't reliable at all. It keeps trippin' the breaker and sometimes it don't even make electricity for weeks. Most of the time, our monthly bill is way higher than what we used to pay before goin' solar. It was a big mistake, man. Now we're stuck payin' for it. We tried callin' Sparrow Electric to fix the problems. They even said they'd make up for the time the system wasn't workin', but that never happened. Other times when we called 'em 'bout the system not workin', they blamed it on snow coverin' the panels and told us to hire a company to clean it off. Their customer service person is super rude and keeps blamin' us for usin' more electricity somehow. Well, the snow's been melted for a month now and the system still ain't producin' energy. So basically, we're payin' for the solar system and Rocky *** at the same time.

After having the panels for over 3 years now, and tracking our monthly and annual energy production, we haven't come close to the target production, nor did we meet the guaranteed production (which is quite a bit lower than the target production). We were told that if production did not meet the annual guarantee, we would be notified and additional panels would be installed to meet the guarantee. This was also in the contract. We also did not receive the refund compensating us for the additional power that we had to pay to the utility company. I ended up having to contact Sparrow to point out these facts back in April. At that time I was told that a refund check was coming, and that I was on the schedule for additional panels. Neither happened. After a few months of hearing nothing, I contacted them again, with the same story and promises. Again, nothing happened. I was finally able to talk with ***, the *** of Operations", who promised me again that a check was coming and that I would be on the schedule to install additional panels. Again, nothing happened. Now after trying to contact them several more times, I get no answers. I am wondering if they are out of business? So here I am in December now (8 months after I first contacted them), still with underperforming production, and no action on Sparrow's part.

We got a solar system from Sparrow Electric in May 2022. There were some problems with setting it up and passing inspections and stuff. But we were cool with it and ready to work through those problems. Finally, it seemed like we would be good to go by September. We were confused about how to start things up, so we asked for a tech to come and finish the setup. They told us we could figure it out ourselves and it wasn't that hard. So we tried our best, but it didn't work out. We asked again for someone to come and Sparrow Electric said they would send a tech during the week of October 10th. But nobody showed up that week, so I started calling on October 17th. The phone numbers for Sparrow Electric don't work, neither the one listed with the ComplaintsBoard.com nor the one on their website. Google even says they're closed for good. I emailed everyone I could and called every number, but no luck. The pictures I uploaded show that our solar system isn't producing any power and there's an error. Plus, we paid for 36 solar panels but had to remove one because it broke the rules. We want a refund for that panel. Now we're worried because we have this expensive system that we're still paying for, but it's not finished and not working.

The install process of solar panels and main electric panel replacement has been a nightmare with Sparrow Electric. 6 different people from Sparrow take turns either texting me or emailing me and few respond to my questions. Project has been going for nearly 3 months. MANY times, Sparrow failed to even show up at my house for scheduled appointments that I was explicitly instructed to be present for ALL DAY, resulting in several days of lost wages from my employer. I was willing to wait it out and just be patient until I discovered they sent an unqualified, 'electrician', who CLAIMED to be a JOURNYMAN ( who I have verified with DOPL is indeed NOT), to replace my main electric panel and he installed several items incorrectly; he installed 20 amp fuses on 14 gauge wires that are meant for 15 amps. Resulting in 2 failed inspections and potentially putting my home and family at severe risk. I am seeking timely, QUALIFIED, well communicated, remediation of this project.

On Dec 17, 2020 we entered an agreement with Sparrow Electric to add a solar system to our home. This project included a roof shingle replacement. We paid cash, by credit card, to Sparrow for the cost of the shingle replacement, which was $12,636.00 with the agreement that Sparrow would pay the roofer, NBroofing. Sparrow collected the $12,636.00 from our credit card on 1/26. I unfortunately forgot our arrangement with Sparrow that they would pay NBroofing, I also paid NBroofing for a job well done on 1/29. When I realized my error I contacted Sparrow, Gabby G, our project manager, told me that Sparrow would reimburse me the $12,636.00, since "...you have double paid NBroofing..." and "it will take 2-3 weeks to get a check out..." This process started on or about 3/24. Numerous phone calls to Sparrow have not been returned to my satisfaction. I have also been in contact with NBroofing, Sparrow has not paid them for our shingle replacement. Not good business!

Have been on the National Do Not Call list since Dec 2007. On 04/30, Sparrow's third party called from a spoof number asking about solar panels. I have not opted in, requested info, or have an established business relationship with this company. In order to confirm with whom I was dealing with, agreed to a second phone call. On 05/01, received a text from Mark at Sparrow Electric Solar to confirm an appt that afternoon. At 3:18pm, Mark arrived in his personal vehicle and confirmed he was with Sparrow. I explained the purpose of the meeting and the TCPA violation. Emailed [protected]@sparrowelectric.com, [protected]@sparrowelectric.com, and [protected]@sparrowelectric.com a couple of times explaining the TCPA violation and providing a copy of my registration on the National Do Not Call list. Eventually, owner Thomas Higgs emailed and advised their attorney would reach out at the beginning of the following week. By Wed, emailed again. Thomas assured me contact on Thurs. Nothing on Thurs or Fri.

Even I notice him about that many times he still say that enough for it and the price will less than 100 dollar per month if compare to 120 dollar that I will be pay for electric bill. I also asked about the reimbursement if the electric coming and he say the company will paid for it. After I installed, I got the electric bill about 25 dollar, 71 dollar and its keep going up to about 92 dollar on last month plus I have to pay for the solar 90 a month which more that he promised. The salesman only paid 71 dollar for me the reimbursement. On last month when I met with the salesman, he told me that he miscalculate on the power I used and force me to install more panels which I do not want to and said the reimbursement is on his not on the company and now he ignore to paid the rest and answer the phone.
