Sportsman's Warehouse Unable to request or receive a refund for a product not in stock

I purchased two rolls of caps online on December 18 from Sportsman Warehouse located in Greensboro NC. I selected to pick up the caps at the store. Two days later when I had not received an email to pick up the caps, I traveled to the store and discovered the caps were not in stock. I called customer service the next day to cancel the order and to receive a refund. I was told the caps were being shipped from the warehouse in Utah to the store in Greensboro. I told the representative that I no longer need the caps since they were not available at the store for pickup and I wished to cancel the order and get a refund. The representative then told me I could not request a refund until the caps had been received in Greensboro and after I receive an email that they are available to pickup at the store. First of all, I should not have been charged for these items until I picked them up. Secondly, I should be able to cancel the order at anytime and receive a refund since the caps, if they exist, are still in the possession of Sportsman Warehouse. The caps may never get shipped or received in Greensboro and I may never get an email. As I write this, it has been nine days since I placed the order and there is no indication that the caps have ever been shipped from Utah. This is totally absurd. If the caps were being shipped directly to me, I would understand why I needed to wait to receive them to seek a refund, but in this case, they are allegedly being shipped within the Sportsman company while my money is being held hostage. This was my first experience with Sportsman Warehouse and will definitely be my last. My order number is [protected]. I am asking for a refund of $12.79. I have also opened a dispute with PayPal. My next step is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I went to Sportsman's Warehouse in Slidell, Louisiana store NO.250 to pick up rifle purchased online 1/10/21. Nice gentlemen can't think of his name but was retired U.S Marine. He gathered all my information and retrieved the firearm from the back of the store. I gave him my Drivers License and CCP for paper work. He politely told me on lifetime CCP you still were required to do the federal background check. Of course, I came back with hold and he said store would be in touch once cleared.

Received call 1/13/21 that I was cleared and could proceed to pick up rifle. When arrived I had around 20m wait before someone help me. The young man got my information finally and went to retrieve the firearm in rear of the store. When he came back out, he informed me of problem because the rifle was held under my brother's name Robert. He got Emma who clearly let it be known she was a manger. From the beginning she was very rude to me. Stating she doesn't even have to deal with me because the rifle wasn't held in my name. I tried to explain to her I purchased it on line using my account but paid for it with my sisters-in-law credit card. Emma went on to say I can't talk to you the gun not held for you and the credit cards not in your name. Tried to reason with her explaining Saturday I had no problem and the rifle got registered in my name on VEA Federal registration. She continued to be rude saying don't have to deal with you guns not for you. I tried multiple times to try and explain to her the rifle did get registered in my name and we need to get it unregistered out of my name and card credited back for refund. Only thing I could get out of her is it illegal you pay for the firearm with someone else credit card and she could not due anything because I wasn't Lynda who's name the CC was in.
Again, tried to tell her I did not realize it at the time of purchasing it online. Furthermore, it should have not let me procced at check out. Then Saturday before the gun got registered in my name why wasn't it caught beforehand.
Told her just credit the card back and unregister firearm in my name. Again, being very rude said can't speak with you guns not in your name are credit card. I ask her well Lydia outside if she comes in will you speak with her. Emma said yes.
I go outside and get Lydia and when we returned to gun counter Emma was gone. Another employee told me she in the back trying to figure out how to return the rifle. 15-20 past she came back out-front showing Lydia she could not refund the money because refund was already issued. Lydia and I tried to explain to her it was only credit for $217.42 issued because the rifle went on sale between time of purchase and shipping. Emma then proceed with she doesn't have to talk to ether one of us because the rifle not in ether one of our names. At this point another young lady who was very friendly, and understanding was attempting to help. Emma stormed of telling the other young lady she doesn't have to speak with us ether. Good thing she didn't listen to Emma and explain full refund would get issued on credit card.
At this point am not even sure if the rifle got taken out of my name. Secondly Was never ask if I would still like to purchase rifle and at this point don't think am ever doing business with Sportsmen Warehouse ever again.

When you call the store and ask them about a product they say they have it then when you get to the store they don't have it, or they sat they don't have it and when you get there they have all kinds of them. I have ordered a rifle, scope, and ammo! Over $2, 000 worth . Scope was not in stock but the gun was. When the gun was delievered to the store it was the wrong gun. They said they would get the correct one in. Numerous times we were guarenteed delievery. We changed plans and got babysitter to come pick up. Mind you I had done this way before deer season...

Sportsman's Warehouse Never go to SW to buy sporting goods

I bought a pair of POlaroid Sunglasses from sportsmans warehouse 3 weeks ago. Upon closer inspection on 19 March, I noticed 2 bubbles forming n the side of the frame, I thought they may be dirt so I scratched them to see if the were dirt and the paint peeled off. Since the glasses were so new I returned to the store to see what could be done about this. I spoke to a lady who told me that ultimately I needed to speak with the manager but that in the end I would need to leave the glasses there for the Polaroid rep to come look at. I said this would not be possible and reitereated this to the manager as I work in the sun 6 days a weeek and cannot go without sunglasses. He then arroagantly told me that I should then just buy another pair of glasses from them while I wait for my original glasses to be looked at. I was shocked as the glasses cost almost R600 and I cannot afford to simply buy another pair. the manager then became very aggressive towards my complaint and would not even take my details or even offer to contact the rep then and there to resolve the problem, he was more than happy to see me leave unhappy. It is DISGUSTING and shocking. Never go to SW to buy sporting goods!
