Spotify Spotify's Terrible Customer Service and Account Security: My Experience

I had a really bad experience with Spotify when my account got hacked. It's pretty obvious that the hack happened on their end, since none of my other accounts or devices were compromised. But instead of helping me, Spotify just shut down my account without telling me or asking me first. They even deleted my payment details! It's been two weeks and I still can't access my account. And when I tried to talk to their Live Chat rep, they hung up on me! And when I complained to Spotify, they denied that it even happened. These guys are so rude and unhelpful, it's like they don't care about their customers at all.

And it's not just me - I've heard that they treat musicians badly too. There are plenty of other streaming services out there, so I wouldn't recommend using Spotify. And their account verification system is a joke - all they ask for is a screenshot of the receipt they originally sent you. That's not exactly high-tech, is it? If that's how they protect your account after it's been hacked, I shudder to think how they're managing your data and banking details.

Spotify Spotify's Payment System is a Joke: A Musician's Perspective

Spotify is a pretty cool app for music lovers, but if you're a musician trying to make a living off of it, you're in for a rough ride. The payment system is a joke - you only get 0.7 cents per play. That's not even a penny, folks. It's like they're trying to put musicians out of business. It's not fair that Spotify is making all this money off of consumers while the people who actually make the music are getting ripped off. If you don't believe me, do your own research and see for yourself.

I don't understand why people use Spotify to listen to the same 8 songs over and over again. If that's all you're listening to, just buy those songs on iTunes. It's cheaper in the long run and you don't have to keep paying $10 a month for something you could own forever for $8.

As a musician myself, I refuse to sell my music on Spotify. I don't support their shady business practices. I put my heart and soul into my music and I'm not going to let some big corporation take advantage of me. I took my music back and I'm proud of it.

That's just my two cents. No offense to anyone who uses Spotify, but I think it's important to know what you're supporting when you use a service like this.

Spotify Spotify Ads: A Disappointing Experience with Confusing System and Unprofessional Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm pretty bummed out about Spotify's Ad platform. I'm a business consultant and I work with a bunch of different vendors, but this experience was a real letdown.

So, my company decided to give Spotify Ads a try for the first time. I set up an Ad, but kept getting an error message. I reached out to customer service for help, and they suggested I start from scratch with their recommended fix. I did what they said, and the Ad finally went through. But here's the thing - they never told me to delete the original, messed up Ad. So I figured I wouldn't get charged for it, since it wasn't set up correctly in the first place.

But the next day, I saw that I had been charged for the error-ed Ad. I was pretty confused, since I thought it hadn't gone through. I reached out to customer service again to explain the situation, but they told me that since the Ad had gotten "impressions," they wouldn't be giving me a refund.

Honestly, I've had to jump through so many hoops just to get answers and help with this issue. It's been a real headache.

So, my advice? Don't bother with Spotify Ads. Their system is super confusing and their customer service is really unprofessional. Save yourself the trouble and find a better company for Ads.

Spotify Spotify Premium: Great Music, Terrible Customer Service

I gotta tell ya, I've been a Spotify Premium member for a hot minute now, but let me tell you, their customer service is a real doozy. If you ever need to get in touch with them, good luck finding their contact form. It's buried deep in their website, and you gotta jump through a bunch of hoops just to get to it. And when you finally do submit the form, you're greeted with a chat window with someone from the Philippines. Not exactly what I'd call "premium" service, ya know?

Anyway, this Filipino customer disservice rep asked me some real dumb questions, like whether or not I was online. Like, come on, man, my form already told you that. And when I pointed out that their instructions weren't correct for Windows 10, they straight up contradicted me. And when I asked to speak to a manager, they told me there wasn't one available and that I'd have to wait for an email. Like, seriously? I'm paying for this "premium" service and this is what I get?

To make matters worse, my playlists got wiped out for no reason, and I couldn't even log back in after following their terrible instructions. So I cancelled my account and moved on to one of the many other music streaming services out there that offer more choices and better service for the same price. Don't waste your time with Spotify, folks.

Spotify Unsecured and Unreliable: My Experience with Spotify's Customer Service

I recently downloaded Spotify on my Xbox and signed up for the free version of the app. I didn't give them any payment information, but to my surprise, I was charged a whopping $120 to a card that I didn't even give them. I was shocked and confused, so I reached out to their customer service team to ask about it. They told me that someone else had my debit card information and tried to buy Spotify premium. They claimed that there was no security breach on their end and that this person just happened to coincidentally steal my card information.

I found it hard to believe that someone could steal my card information and order Spotify premium the same week I downloaded the free version of the app. I haven't used my card for anything except automated bill pay in years, so it seemed like a strange coincidence. Spotify assured me that they already knew about the fraudulent charge and had cancelled it. However, they had no answer when I asked why they hadn't informed me or emailed me if they already knew about it.

I was so frustrated with the situation that I decided to close my account. But when I told Spotify about my decision, they told me that they would be keeping my payment information. This was the same payment information that someone else had stolen from me to give to them. It was shocking to hear that they knew my payment information was stolen and didn't inform me of it.

To make matters worse, when I called my bank, Wells Fargo, they informed me that Spotify had NOT cancelled the transaction like they said they had. It was clear that Spotify didn't want to give back the $120 that someone stole from me and gave to them. It was a stressful morning, but thankfully, Wells Fargo was wonderful and is getting me my money back pronto.

In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend using Spotify. It's not a secure app, and they won't tell you if someone steals your information. They won't try to stop them from stealing your information, and they won't cancel a charge that they know to be fraudulent. It's a shame because I really enjoyed using the app, but I can't risk my financial information being stolen again.

Spotify Spotify's Poor Response to Cyberattack: A Customer's Experience

My Spotify account got hacked from a place far away. I'm in Oxford, but the attack was from Istanbul. I don't know anyone remotely from there, so I treated it as an anonymous cyberattack. I was in a panic and all I was asking for was for Spotify to send me the IPs that my own account has logged in to figure out where the attack was from. But customer service did nothing but sweet talk me into disappointment.

Spotify was delayed in their response, and as a result, the attacker logged into my profile page the next day and got ahold of my Gmail and card details. They even tried to invade both my Gmail and online banking account. Thankfully, there are some proper companies out there that know what 2-step verification is and informed me about the attack, as well as providing the location of the attack (which I later learned was from Istanbul).

If Spotify had bothered to protect their customers rather than the attacker, I would have known one day earlier that this was not a friend trolling but a legitimate cyberattack. This would have allowed me to move quicker in locking everything else.

If Spotify had bothered to listen to their community, maybe this attack would have never happened. They had the opportunity to implement two-factor authentication, but they decided not to move forward with it at that time.

Before you prompt me into a survey on why I will be permanently ending my subscription once I set up my library properly on another service, the post above pretty much sums it up.

Spotify Spotify Review: The Best Music Streaming Service Out There

I've been using Spotify for a long time now and I gotta say, it's pretty darn good. I started off with the free version a few years back and it was already pretty solid. But last year, I decided to upgrade to Spotify Premium so I could listen to music on the go. And let me tell you, it's still just as great as ever.

I listen to music pretty much every day, whether I'm on my daily commute, doing some work, or just singing along at the top of my lungs. And Spotify has never let me down. It's super reliable and I've found that it's always the go-to choice for any party or gathering.

I've tried a few other streaming sites in the past, like Last.FM, iTunes, Zune, Grooveshark, and a bunch of others that I can't even remember the names of. But I gotta say, Spotify is the best of the bunch. It's the easiest to use and the cleanest looking, with a sleek black design that's not only pleasing to the eye but also useful if you like to listen to music before bed or to help you fall asleep.

Navigating the site is a breeze, with the ability to create multiple playlists and queue up songs. And the selection of music is vast, with even some obscure local artists that allow you to expand your musical horizons effortlessly. Plus, you can follow your favorite artists to get updates and notifications about their latest gigs and music releases, which is super helpful.

But one of my favorite features is the ability to follow your friends on social media and see what they're listening to. It's a great way to discover new artists and expand your musical tastes. And if you're feeling a little embarrassed about your guilty pleasures, you can always hide your sessions so no one else can see what you're listening to.

All in all, I'd definitely recommend Spotify. I've never had any issues with it and it's always been a reliable source of music for me. 10/10 would recommend.

Spotify Spotify Review: Too Many Commercials, Not Enough Music

Spotify is a music streaming service that has been around for a while now. When I first started using it, I was really impressed with how easy it was to use and how much music was available. I could listen to almost any song I wanted, and it was all free! However, as time went on, I started to notice that the commercials were becoming more frequent and longer. It was really annoying to have to listen to the same commercials over and over again, and it seemed like there were more commercials than music.

I understand that Spotify needs to make money somehow, but it seems like they are really pushing their subscribers to pay for the "commercial free" service. I don't blame them for trying to make money, but I don't think it's fair to bombard their users with so many commercials. It's like they are trying to force us to pay for something we don't want.

One thing that really bothers me is that the commercials are always the same. It's like they don't have any other advertisers, or they are charging too much for businesses to advertise with them. If they could get more businesses to advertise, maybe they could play fewer commercials and still make money.

I think Spotify should offer two options: a commercial-free service for a monthly fee, or a free service with regular commercial breaks. That way, users could choose which option they prefer. I would be willing to listen to a few commercials if it meant I could still listen to my favorite music for free.

Overall, I think Spotify has a lot of potential, but they need to work on their pricing and advertising strategies. If they could find a way to play more music and fewer commercials, I would definitely use their service more often. Until then, I will stick to my local radio stations, which play the same genre of music I like with fewer commercials.

Spotify Spotify Premium Review: Unlimited Music Without Interruptions

There be a lot of apps out there that let you listen to music for free, but they usually come with a catch. Either you gotta listen to a bunch of ads or you can only listen to a limited amount of music. But Spotify ain't like that. For just a few bucks a month, you can listen to all the music you want without any interruptions.

Now, I gotta be honest with ya, the free version of Spotify ain't all that great. You can only listen to music when you're connected to Wi-Fi, which is a real bummer. But if you upgrade to the Premium version, you can listen to music whenever you want, even if you ain't got no Wi-Fi. And let me tell ya, it's worth it.

For students, the price is even better. You can get a discount that brings the cost down to just $4.99 a month. That might seem like a lot, but when you think about it, it's a pretty good deal. You only gotta listen to five songs a month to make it worth the price. And let's be real, most of us listen to way more than five songs a month.

Back in the day, we used to have to download music from sketchy websites like Limewire. But that was risky business. You never knew if you were gonna get a virus or if the music was gonna be compatible with your phone or MP3 player. With Spotify, you don't gotta worry about any of that. You can easily integrate your iTunes library and listen to your music on all your devices.

Now, Spotify ain't perfect. They got a lot of songs, but they don't have everything. Sometimes you gotta go to other apps like Soundcloud to find what you're looking for. And when it comes to recommending new music, Spotify ain't the best. They tend to just play songs by the same artist or songs that sound exactly like the one you picked. But that's okay. You can still find new music on your own.

All in all, I think Spotify is the best music streaming app out there. It's cheap, it's easy to use, and it's got a huge library of music. Sure, it's got its flaws, but what app doesn't? If you supplement it with other apps like Soundcloud and Pandora, you'll have all the music you could ever want.

Spotify Best footwear canada

This company ripped me off sending me something totally inferior to what they were advertising for weeks.

It “arrived into” Canada again misleading a comment in a forum implying they ship in Canada.

Pictures show what I got versus what they’d advertised. I had been so excited anticipating the shoes. So crushed when I saw the crap they sent. Pleather and cheap.

They state they cannot refund because it was a sale item. Offered to send me another product but I have to pay taxes and shipping.

BS! They did NOT SEND a e what I’d ordered!

They DID NOT live up to their end of the sale. They owe me my money back.

This is nothing short of deceptive advertising and consumer rip off.

Fraud.

Desired outcome: I want all my money back immediately. For some reason the pics I add below aren’t showing. I can prove via the pics. Please help.

Spotify Disappointed with Spotify's Customer Service and Free Hulu Offer

I've been using Spotify for a long time now, and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it. I've been a Premium customer since 2013, and I've never had any major issues with the service. But let me tell you, I was pretty stoked when they offered me a free Hulu subscription as a perk for being a Spotify user. I upgraded to a family plan for a while, but then I switched back to the Premium plan. That's when things started to go downhill.

Spotify told me that I no longer qualified for the free Hulu offer, which was a bummer. I mean, who doesn't love free stuff, right? But what really got me was their customer service. When I tried to reach out to them to express my dissatisfaction, I was stuck on the live chat for almost two hours. There were so many lags and disconnections that it was almost impossible to get anything done. And to make matters worse, you can't even call them for support.

Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with the way Spotify handled this whole situation. I mean, I've been a loyal customer for years, and this is the thanks I get? It's a shame, really. I'm even considering switching to a different music streaming platform because of this. I mean, who wants to deal with terrible customer service, right?

Overall, I still think Spotify is a great service. I love being able to listen to all my favorite songs and discover new music, and the Premium plan is definitely worth the money. But if they don't step up their customer service game, they might start losing customers like me.

Spotify Spotify Review: Unauthorized Charges and Poor Customer Service

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Spotify. They went ahead and charged me without even asking me first! I mean, what gives? I didn't get any heads up or anything. And when I tried to get my money back through PayPal, the info they gave me just wasn't enough. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

It's not right that they just took my money like that. It was an unauthorized transaction, plain and simple. And now they won't even give it back to me! What kind of business does that? I feel like I've been robbed.

If you're thinking about trying out their premium services with a free trial, I'd say think again. Even if you cancel, they'll still find a way to take your money. It's like they're trying to scam people or something.

I did some digging around on Sitejabber, and it turns out I'm not the only one who's been ripped off by Spotify. It seems like they have a real problem with communication. Why can't they just let people know ahead of time that they're going to take payment? It's not that hard, is it?

Overall, I'd say you should avoid Spotify if you don't want to get ripped off. They don't seem to care about their customers, and they'll take your money without even asking. It's just not worth it.

Spotify Spotify Family Premium: A Greedy Mess

I've been using Spotify for a long time now, and I gotta say, it's been pretty good overall. But then I decided to upgrade to the Family Premium version, and that's when things started to go downhill. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Spotify kicked every member of my family off the plan. And let me tell you, these people live with me! I was pretty ticked off, to say the least.

So I tried to resend them the link, but Spotify blocked them for a whole year! Can you believe that? I paid extra money for up to six licenses, and now they're dictating how and who can use them. That's just not right, if you ask me. If I'm paying extra for these licenses, it shouldn't matter who I share them with, family or not.

Honestly, Spotify's greed has really turned me off. I ended up downgrading my plan to a single version because of this whole mess. I mean, come on, Spotify, you're supposed to be making things easier for us, not harder. In your attempt to be greedy f*$#s, you lost out on some serious cash. Good job, Spotify.

Spotify Great Audio Quality and Music Selection, But Terrible Customer Service

I've been using Spotify for a good ten years now and I gotta say, it's been a pretty sweet ride. The audio quality is top-notch and I can find MOST of the music I'm looking for. I'm into some pretty underground stuff, so it's not always perfect, but hey, it's still pretty good. And the price is decent, too. Plus, I got Hulu as an added bonus for being a long-time customer.

BUT, let me tell you, their customer service is absolute garbage. I recently upgraded from premium to premium duo and they took away my Hulu without any explanation. They didn't even warn me that this would happen when I made the switch. And when I reached out to customer service, they were no help at all. They couldn't switch it back for me, even though it had only been a week since the switch. And get this, there's no phone support! So I had to rely on the chat function, which was a total pain.

I've got the screenshots to prove it, too. After ten years of being a loyal customer, this is how they treat me? It's pretty disappointing, to be honest. But I guess I'll stick with Spotify for now, since it's still a pretty good service overall.

Spotify Disappointed with Spotify's Customer Service and Subscription Policies

I've been a subscriber of Spotify for a long time and I gotta say, I was really happy with my subscription. I had this sweet deal where I got Hulu and Spotify together for a great price. But then, just two days ago, I lost my credit card and had to cancel it. And what do you know? Spotify went ahead and cancelled my subscription too, just because they couldn't process the payment. They didn't even give me a heads up or anything, just straight up cancelled it.

So, I tried to chat with a rep to sort things out, but it was a total waste of time. They kept saying that they didn't cancel my account, but that the payment didn't go through and that's why it got cancelled. Like, come on, can't they see that it wasn't my fault that I lost my credit card? They just don't seem to care at all.

Now, the only solution they're offering me is to resubscribe, but that means I'll lose my Hulu bundle. And honestly, I'm just so disappointed with how they've handled this whole situation that I don't even want to use the free version of the app anymore. I'm definitely switching to a different music app.

Spotify My Experience with Spotify: Lack of Variety and Functionality

Spotify? Tried it three times, and it just ain't my jam. I mean, I gave it my best shot, but it just didn't cut it. Every time I tried it, I had some trouble or another. And the worst part? It just didn't have enough variety. I mean, come on, I don't want to hear the same songs over and over again in a short amount of time.

Now, I'm a simple guy. I just want a music service that works well in my car. I don't want to be fiddling around with my phone while I'm driving, you know what I mean? But Spotify just couldn't deliver. It failed me on local errands, and it failed me on the highway. And sometimes, it would just go off on a totally irrelevant tangent. Like, what's up with that? One minute I'm listening to some sweet tunes, and the next minute, it's playing folk music in a foreign language. I mean, it's kind of funny, but it's not what I'm looking for.

So, I cancelled my subscription after three days into another free trial. I thought I was done with it for good. But then, a week later, I noticed that the subscription fee had come out of my checking account. What the heck, man? That's not cool.

Anyway, I switched over to Google Play, and so far, it's been pretty darn good. No complaints here.

Spotify Spotify's Gift Card Policy is Bogus and Customer Service is Trash

So, I got this Spotify gift card for my cuz. I know they're into Spotify, so I figured it'd be a good gift. But, turns out they got that student premium subscription, and Spotify don't let you use gift cards for that. I hit up Spotify support, and they told me to switch to regular premium, use the gift card, then switch back to student. But, that's whack, cuz the regular premium is twice as much as the student one. I asked why they do this, and they didn't even respond. Like, what kind of customer service is that? Spotify, you need to step up your game. This policy is straight up bogus, and your customer service is trash.

Spotify Spotify Review: Great Music Library, Terrible User Interface and Glitches

Spotify has been around for a good 10 years now, but it doesn't seem like they've made any upgrades to their user interface. It was bad before and it's still bad now. Their customer support is just okay, and it seems like the teams don't really know how to help users out. The CEO is always pushing musicians to release new music, which can really affect the quality of the art they create. He seems like a greedy, out of touch person.

The app is always glitching out, crashing, and just not working right. This has been going on for years, but I just tried to ignore it. I contacted support, but they didn't really have anything helpful to say. I eventually gave up and made a new account, but they didn't tell me that my username would change from a short, easy-to-remember name to a long, random string of letters and numbers. The whole service is so buggy, but Spotify is just too big to fail at this point. They don't really care about individual users anymore.

Despite all of this, I still use Spotify because it's the most popular music streaming service out there. It has a huge library of songs and playlists, and it's really easy to find new music to listen to. The app is also pretty easy to use, even though it's not the prettiest thing in the world. I just wish they would fix all of the bugs and glitches so that I could have a better experience.

Spotify Spotify's Support System is a Total Mess: A Frustrating Experience

I've been using Spotify for a long time now and it's been great, until today. Out of nowhere, I got logged out and trying to get back in has been a real headache. I know it's not their fault that I forgot my password and used a different email, but the support they offer is just ridiculous. I mean, come on, they're a huge company that's been around for years and they don't even have a call center? Instead, they have you message a robot on their support site, which was a total waste of time. The site was a mess, confusing, and hard to navigate. I had to figure out everything on my own, which was frustrating.

Finally, I managed to create a new account and decided to sign up for premium. But then I saw a message that said "you can't upgrade to premium in the app. We know, it's not ideal." Well, that's great, but how am I supposed to upgrade then? There were no instructions anywhere. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

When everything works fine, the app is actually pretty good. You get to listen to all the music you want for a decent price. But when it comes to managing your account or getting help when you need it, forget about it. I wouldn't recommend Spotify to anyone who needs reliable support. They get a zero out of ten for that.

Spotify Soundtrap

Well this is a digital recording suite essentially. I tried it out oh about A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. and I haven't used it since. I canceled it shortly after I got it.got billed again?must just be a mixup n in the system. I cancel again. I get billed again.this exchange goes on for about a year, then in addition to canceling I'm writing angry letters to Spotify, and soundtrap, and my bank, no matter what I do I cannot cancel this service, Noone will answer me, and Noone is offering me the refund I'm entitled to.

Desired outcome: I want all the money they took from me against my wishes, and then some for the mental anguish this nonsense has cost my wife and i.

Spotify Playlists

I have to sit through three ads in order to get "30 minutes of free listening." Fine, but afterward I start listening and I'm force-fed songs that I DIDN'T PUT ON MY PLAYLIST. I skip them so I can listen to my selected playlist; when I've skipped six, I'm not ALLOWED to listen skip anymore thus being blocked from listening to MY PLAYLIST. So I basically DIDN'T get to listen to my songs for "30 free minutes." I have a playlist that is the exact amount of time I need for my morning run and I don't get to listen to it because Spotify is putting other songs on MY list and BLOCKING me when I don't want to hear what I didn't select. It's like ADDING ADS (unsolicited songs) within the "30 free minutes." What a SHAM.

Desired outcome: If you make people sit through ads to listen to their playlists, LET THEM LISTEN TO THE SONGS *THEY* SELECTED!!!!!

Spotify Spotify

Hello, I am having issues playing my playlist, which I made two lists.

My blues playlist says "nothing playing" , although I can see green bars moving up and down on right menu( home screen)

Also, can I remove individual songs from a download where I have to download multiple songs? I don't see how to do this. I have downloaded singles when offered, but I have a lot of songs that I don't want in memory.

Desired outcome: Fix problem, or I may cancel service.

Spotify Spotify

I do not understand why Spotify is doing this to me. I am a paying customer of Spotify premium. Every time I hit shuffle on any of my playlists, it will only play one song and then it ceases to play any music until I click on another song. This has been since 12:15pm on November 29th, 2022. I have tried everything. I logged out then back in again. I restarted my device. Nothing is happening. Please help. I hope this issue is resolved soon. I need my tunes.

Desired outcome: I would please like this issue to be resolved as soon as is possible. I would like to be able to listen to my playlists on shuffle again.

Spotify I am disputing agreement of release of royalties Spotify may owe me. Streaming of Copywrite work, misleading information about payment of Royalties

I was in a Multiple million $dollars Law Suit with Spotify brought by David Lowery and Melissa Ferrick in [protected] of February 15th, Spotify USA, Inc case # 1:16-Cv-08412-AJN David Lowery, et,Al v Spotify Case #2: 15-cv-09Q29-(BRO-RAO)

I mailed in many track ID numbers and the title of my songs, however in Feb. I was told I had no Royalties coming. MLC sent me A Legal notice say Spotify Identified me as the owner of One or more works, and that I had an agreement with Spotify to release them of any Rpyalties owed me. This is not true I never agreed to release Spotify of any obligation of Payment. I received this notice on the 16 of Sept. Originally Oct. 5 2021, Which I never received from Spotify or anyone else.

Desired outcome: If I am owed Royalties from this case I respectifully like to have them. The track # sent me is S46290597. When I went into the link to the posted info it indicated at lease 3 of my songs are in volved.

Spotify Worst app in the history of apps

When by some miracle the app is actually working, it still plays ads, even if you pay for Premium. 80% of the time it's not working at all; not opening, or worse; not closing. It just keeps playing the music and there is nothing you can do about it. I cannot get my head around this, how is multi-billion dollar company not able to produce a decent app? Why?

Desired outcome: An alternative to Spotify that at least has a half-decent app
