I've had a terrible experience with Standard Bank. Despite having a banking relationship with them for 36 years, I was told to take my business elsewhere. As a result, I've decided to close all of my fixed deposit and savings accounts. Additionally, there are still unresolved cases of credit card ***** that Standard Bank has not addressed, and I'm tired of fighting with them to show me loyalty in return for my long-standing loyalty to them. I plan on filing complaints against all individuals who have been involved in the events leading up to my decision to close my accounts and switch to another bank. Furthermore, I would like to advise you to reconsider the managers, as they are a danger to potential clients in the future.I have requested a relook at my bond interest rate and credit card interest rate to get better rates based on my profile, credit score and payments and the business I have brought Standard Bank. I have been with Standard Bank probably my entire lifetime – 36 years. I am a single mother trying to make ends meet and have been more than loyal to Standard Bank. All the people I referred to open an account with standard bank in these 36 years, Shocking! To be told that I have to upgrade to then have a negotiating space is unacceptable and unconstitutional. I am actually so offended and am willing to move my business to a different bank that will embark and willing to give me better rates. I will be starting to request settlement letters and will close all my accounts with Standard Bank. I will also ensure I never ever recommend Standard Bank to anyone ever due to the above reasons. This is how Standard Bank cares for their loyal customers – definitely not loyal. I will follow through on all platforms to report and advise other potential future customers to avoid opening any accounts with the giant bank such as Standard Bank. This is absolutely disgusting – and I am embarrassed that I have been loyal to Standard Bank for all these years and this is how you exploit your customers. will be moving my entire portfolio over as there i will get affordable rates on my overdraft, credit card and home loan. Please ensure you do your homework before you **** off any more clients going forward. How does this make any business sense now and please rely the message to all the seniors you spoke to.
