Payments applied to a strangers account
Starz should not even be a company or in business. They don’t care about their customers and they will not resolve any issues they created. They will pass you off and ignore your reasons for contacting them. I have contacted this company over 20 times because they applied my payments to someone’s account that I don’t even know! A starz representative confirmed that there was a big problem and it was on starz end and it would need to be escalated. I received a email in response to this “escalation” that since the account that is not mine had watch history there was nothing they would do and starz considers this case CLOSED. I replied explaining that the payments were applied to a strangerz account with a completely different email no where similar to mine. I then received an email with this response “There is no escalation process for this matter and no supervisor will be able to make contact with you for this reason. We apologize if this is not the information you were expecting to hear or what you might have wanted to hear. However, at this time, this matter is closed, no exceptions will be made based on our Terms of Service, and no further emails regarding this matter will be responded to as there is no further information for STARZ to provide. Regards, Rex”.
The agent then went on to cancel my starz account without my permission. This is completely upsetting that as a long time customer they will not take ownership of their mistake! I’ve called and requested a supervisor multiple times and I always receive the same response that there isn’t a supervisor available and they have no other escalation process other than an email which of course will get no where.
Desired outcome: The company acknowledge their mistake and transfer the payments to my account
programming
I continually see Cheech and Chong movies on Starz/Encore Espanol. They are almost never on English language channels, and when they are rarely on them, it's in the middle of the night, or early morning.
Desired outcome: Show them in english at least as much as you do on the Espanol channel, and at a more practical time of day.

Either it seems like im watching a burnt copy from 2005 with a green flash every 15 seconds. Or its worse. Now with power book 4... Brand new tv. Is janky and choppy like I have a [censored] connection (which I dont) or that I bought this bootleg (which I pay for monthly)
Its so choppy. I am about to loose my subscription and download this tv bootleg to watch it properly.

$8.99 and I cancelled it after I couldnt afford it. However after cancelling they still took $24.99 out of my bank account. It shows i dont have an account because I cancelled and those greedy [censored] are still charging me
Cancellation of American Gods
Cancellation of your banner series "American Gods" was a mistake. Who is doing the thinking for you guys? You had a good series, very interesting, super creative, great storyline with racehorse legs, and a superior group actors that you were lucky to have. The possibilities of this show was a wide open space, and you didnt take advantage of it. If it lacked interest for you, why didnt you just make it even more interesting. God I wished I could have wrote for that show.
You were totally blind about this cancellation. Maybe you just need more insight. I really liked the series. If I were you I would be very proud of American Gods. Please open your eyes.

The Western channel
Why don't you employee someone with imagination! The western channel is no where near it used to be when I first subscribed to starz encore! The western channel needs more variety like it used to be ? Instead it's like eating mutton 6 times a day for years! Are you getting the point yet ?
I really miss the variety of old classic westerns. All the other channels have variety! Why not the western channel ?

I noticed that they aren't adding any new tv westerns on Encore to start the year. I am done with the western channel and Dish. A waste of money watching re-runs.
Encore Westerns
This channel, next to GRIT tv, is the most annoying and useless channel on tv! I have NEVER seen a channel so repetitious in it's scheduling, that they'll even show the same damn movie 2 to 3 times in the same day, let alone repeating them beyond obnoxious in the same month! It's like they have a movie library of about a dozen movies. I swear if I see The Magnificent Seven scheduled one more time I'll scream! Already they've burned out John Wayne, an American icon, so badly, no one will want to watch another Duke western again in they're entire life!
The channel
It sure would be nice if I could watch a show/movie without the screen going green. Everything I watch constantly flashes green on the screen. And I tried watching the Bourne series but it's all screwy. Not sure why I'm still paying for this. This has been going on for MONTHS. And I know I'm not the only one experiencing issues. I guess they dont care about keeping customers happy. Will probably cancel soon if not resolved.

App unauthorized charge
I just looked at my bank account online! There was a charge from Starz I never even authorized at all!
NOW! Because they have done this, my bank account will bounce because I have one last bill coming in this month!
I am SO angry! They had no right! I've never even watched anything on starz! Never authorized any charges and never signed up!

I am complaining about your programming choices on the western channel! Can't you find anything better to broadcast on this? Same thing over and over and over and over! All day ! Being charged after canceling my account.
I have cancelled my account before the free trial deadline and they still continually charge me. I have no access to that account and haven't being using it for over 3 years now but they continually charge me. I called them and they said I have no account with them and to call Apple who said that same thing. They are a totally rip off and I should be able to get my money back from all the months they charged me for a subscription I do not have. As I am reading other complaints, it's not just me they are doing this with.

Poor reception
This complaint has been going on for almost a month.
I have a two Samsung TV's that we paid for and receive a number of streaming services without any problems.
We signed up for Starz to enable us to receive some of the older TV shows
We have had a problem since we initially signed up.
I have called both Samsung and Starz about the problem. Samsung worked
with us for two days and diagnosed that it was a Starz problem.
After 3 phone calls to Starz and multiple attempts to solve the problem, I was
told that they were escalating the problem to the next level up.
I was told that someone would contact me from Starz and solve the problem.
This has been told to us twice with your case # 1751270 and 1753547
We are still waiting for the problem to be solved.
In looking about all the complaints with your company, it doesn't look like you have satisfied very many of them.
If this problem is not cured by the end of the week, (June 6th) my next complaint will be filed with the better business bureau for their help

We chose starz because it had the western channel. Both my wife and I enjoy watching westerns. We moved to our house in 2013, The same westerns are still being repeated now for 8 years. Cheyenne for 1. Thats crazy out of 100s of TV westerns you choose to play the same thing good grief. I keep asking my wife is this worth it? No it isnt. Cant you find anything different and I dont mean Have Gun Will Travel!

Cancelled all Starz from our phones, from Google and from Starz itself back in March 2018, Yet, Ive still been being charged for over 2 years. They keep saying they cant find us in their system. Cant find our account, cards, nothing so they cant cancel the charge. I logged into all the accounts and none have a subscription. I've called several times, emailed several times and get the same answer as I stated above. I'm currently going through my bank statement and going to call tomorrow to get a supervisor or something. This is ridiculous!
Didnt put my bank statements on here. Dont trust this site. However, I did attach the 2 emails I still have that say what I need to give them, which is what I have already given them.

Difficulty cancelling STARZ App Monthly Subscription
I tried repeatedly over three months to cancel my STARZ monthly app subscription and every time I did this over the app my account wouldn't cancel and O would get charged again. Yesterday 2/13/21 this happened again and tried cancelling 6 times and would go back and check my account status and each time would see it as as still active. So I called STARZ to get them to cancel my acct and was told they can't do this and I have to do it online. My account was still active and the rep informed me that he couldn't even see my attempt to cancel. I explained that the system isn't working and was told "well that function doesn't work in the app and instead you have to do it online". Are you kidding me! The app has the function available with a pop up to redirect me online. It is unacceptable to have this function not working and for it to be so widely known in the company that instead of fixing this you have your reps telling customers it doesn't work and do it this way! So I go online at my computer cancel and it still didn't work! Took 2 more tries and finally was able to go through. Why is it so hard to cancel? Why do they have a function to cancel on their app that they know doesn't work? Why can't you cancel by calling? This is a scam! This company is knowingly making it hard to cancel so they can frustrate people to a point of just letting them continue to charge them! Which is what happened with me for 3 months in a row! STARZ should be ashamed and someone needs to hold them accountable.

I would appreciate a refund for 3 months of service where I wasn't able to cancel when I was trying and their system wouldn't allow me to cancel. Which is $26.97 ($8.99/mo). But more importantly they need to fix their systems so you can cancel and their operations where their support staff when called can cancel.
Desired outcome: Refund of $26.97 and for STARZ to fix their systems and operations so people can effectively and easily cancel.
