I been tryin' to get in touch with Steel City Solar LLC for 2 months now to expand my solar system. I done filled out 3 online forms and called twice, but ain't nobody gettin' back to me. It's like they don't care about makin' money or takin' care of their customers. It's straight up pathetic that they can't even respond to a simple request. They need to get their act together or they gonna lose their license and get blacklisted.

This company, Steel City Solar LLC, has been a real problem for me since the start. They lied and tricked us into buying a solar system from them. They promised that any issues would be fixed right away, but that hasn't been the case. We always have trouble getting someone to come out and check what's wrong because our system never works right. No one ever calls back or shows up for appointments. It's been a real hassle. This business is a joke. Don't trust *** or ***.

I signed a ntract with Steel City Solar LLC on August 5, 2022. We paid $45,280 with a loan that has been dispersed to Steel City. The sales person said that work would start right away, but it took three months for them to schedule the installation. The installers did their work in two days on November 7 and 8. I was told by them that the system would be turned on in 2 days to 2 weeks. After that time, I had to call them again to find out why and get told they are weighting for state and local inspections. That was the first I had heard of that. The inspections have now been done. I received a document to sign for the energy mpany for the net billing meter (sent by Steel City Solar) that limits us to 120% of last annual production. State law says we can get 200%. This was also what the sales agent said and our system was designed for. The ntract states they will "process all utility internnection documentation". I called them to tell them about this and they told me to call the utility . The utility *** tells me I have to call Steel City. I have tried calling 4 times over the last 5 days and they haven't returned my calls. We now have a system that does not work that we will soon have to be paying for as well as an electric bill that the system was supposed to eliminate.

I got Steel City Solar (***) to add more solar panels to my existing system in Oct 2019. *** picked out the parts and *** monitoring. But when they were installing it, they found out that the new *** IQ microinverters didn't work with my old *** M215 microinverters. So they added another Envoy monitoring device. They finished the job in Jan 2020. But soon after, I noticed that the panels and inverters from both arrays weren't reporting production most of the day. I told *** about it. In Dec 2020, I contacted them again to see if there were any warranty issues. But the problem still wasn't fixed. So I called *** technical support. They said there was electrical interference. But when I turned off all the circuits in my house, it didn't change anything. I figured out that shutting down one system made the other work fine. I told *** about it and suggested they rearrange the parts to stop the interference. They put ferrite toroids on most of my house circuits, but it didn't help. It's been two years now, and the *** microinverters and monitoring still don't report data most of the time. *** picked out the parts, so it's their job to make sure they work together. I've shown them that the systems interfere with each other, but they haven't tested it. I think they think it's something else causing the problem, but it's not.
