waited for ice cream 20 minutes and still never got it.
Visited the Steers Diner on 01/11/2017 at 21:35 was served by the cashier Thola at 21:41. Requested 4 cone ice creams was told by Thola no cones available will have to get a cup. I paid for the ice creams and stood aside, I waited 20 minutes and then got really annoyed as customers who ordered food got their orders and I am still waiting for ice cream. I asked for the manager who was Richard. He looked like he just got up from a deep sleep. I asked for a refund because I was still ignored after 20 minutes. What further infuriated me is that a black gentleman walked in and asked for 2 cone ice creams and guess what he got the 2 ice creams immediately with the cones and I was told no cones available. Absolutely angry with the pathetic service from this Steers Diner. Steers is a huge franchise and I'm sure customer service and satisfaction is absolutely important. I would highly appreciate your urgent response to this complaint because I truly feel I was disadvantaged as a customer.
wet wipes
I am at steers ultra shell in Klerksdorp. I just bought myself a meal. I then requested a wet wipe but unfortunately the cashier told me that they are not allowed to give wet wipes unless you have bought a rib meal.
This does not make business sense to ke not to give out wet wipe as the store is a national road, which then means customers may be buying and going. Therefore such a product is a necessity for those who choose not to eat in-store. Surely, if Steers cannot issue the wet wipes due to the effect it has on the total price, then we, as customers MUST be given a choice of buying them separately.
There is no flexibilitflexibility at all in the store, regardless of the fact that I was even willing to buy the wet wipes separately.
Hygen should be prioritised more than economising. I hope that this will not fall to the deaf ears.

Hi. I was at montclair steers and I left without my order. I waited for an hour and those guys they spend more than 45 minutes without serving any order when you ask the giys are rude. There is a white gentle man who came and makes jake with them. After 10minutes he recieve order without order number and slip. He than take money out of his pocket and give the guys who said his a manager.
I want my refund.

Good Afternoon, My name is Helena Van Der Merwe i have ordered food from Steers Chilly Lane two hour later i phoned to find out where the order is then they can find the order, Brain took the order first they cant hear me then i get put thru to other operator. they said they calling me back in two minutes again after almost 10 min got a call back just for them to tell me they still tracking my order so as you can see it is going for two and a half hour already.
I am very disappointed in the service we get from them as we are a big corporate company and we order almost every day from them. when i said to her the order then she said o it sound familiar.

Hi I placed an online order at 12.02 with your Ormonde branch for delivery ASAP. I called the branch at 12.35 to enquire about the delivery and was told it was already on its way. After waiting 25 minutes I called three times but kept getting cut off after I was told the call is being transferred. The driver finally arrived at 1.35pm which is one hour after I was told the driver had left. We are only 3km away from the branch. My order no. is 64

We buy a lot of take away at our local Steers. A few weeks ago we ordered food for delivery. When the delivery person left we noticed that the one order was wrong, we phoned the shop and they just said "Sorry"
Yesterday, 24 October, we bought food in the shop. When I got home the order did not look right. I went to look at my slip. The lady ringed up extra that I did not asked for. I did not want chips with our burgers, but I paid for regular chips with all the burgers, and there was one packet of chips sort in the package! I did not phone again, because I did not want to hear "sorry" again. I will most certainly not support that shop again. Not only do we get mixed up orders, or not all I paid for, but the kitchen staff is sometimes very inappropriate. The one lady working with food was constantly coughing.
steers montana crossing - no service to white customers - disgusting
Good day, I would just like to inform you on how disgusted and disappointed I am in the service at Steers at Montana Crossing. We were trying to order last night and after about 15min of waiting (while being in front of the line) the lady and gentleman helped to other customers and ignoring us bluntly. We are NOT racist at ALL but it is because of things like this that makes our country miserable and I will make sure to report this to your head office, I have video footage of this bad service, the lady couldn't even look at us and the gentleman was smiling at us. My husband told them in their language it is disgusting. its employees like them that will make you lose a lot of business. We will never support Steers ever again and I will make sure this gets spread out, your employees are bluntly racist and we did NOT deserve to be treated like this. I am very unhappy. One thing I know for sure is God doesn't sleep.
slow delivery service from steers grosvenor crossing
On 3 separate occasions I have ordered online from Steers Grosvenor Crossing (the most recent being yesterday 27/09/17). On all 3 occasions I have waited at least an hour for the delivery. Numerous phone calls to the store (via the call centre) were either cut off or never answered. The food is cold when it arrives. I understand that sometimes it is busier than usual but it seems the standard delivery time for this store is an hour or more. Maybe the store can look at improving their delivery time?

I ordered the original king steers burger from steers Menlo Park Menlyn and what I received was disappointing. The chips where burnt and were like pap, the patty was half done and the burger was not neatly done. I suffered serious cramps and from this experience, I don't think I'll ever buy from steers again. What I experienced was horrible and I cannot afford a loss like that again.
raw & tough steak

I bought an Original Steak Hero Roll today. When I got at work and opened it I was disappointed at the fact of how it looked (now I know it will not look the same as in the pictures but the bun was broken and it looked like a bun I could have made myself at home). I ordered via the App where I chose the steak to be medium, well my steak was raw, only the outsides were brown (like the steak was put on the grill and turned around and got put on the bun).
The steak was so tough I had to take it off of the bun just to get a grip to bite through it because after the first bite my bun was flattened as I tried to keep the steak still to bite through it.
Now I never had to complain about any of the food because the was no reason before now. I don't know if I want my money back or if I want a voucher because if I take my money back I would look like someone that just complains to get her money back and if I take a voucher will that be enough to say we will give you the quality food that you are paying for?
There is nothing to attach because I did not want to complain but the last piece of steak was so raw the outside was hardly brown so I did not take photos as I already gave it to the dustbin.

very poor quality food and service of a new steers franchise
Steers Newmarket is a new franchise that has opened and I have ordered from them on 4 or more occassions where I have received poor quality, like me phoning after 2 hours to check where my delivery is, only to find out they had not put the order through. Everytime i call I have give me details againf for half an hour. I called the owner the next day and he just apologised, but it has happened again since then. It's like they know I complained and now send me old food all the time...
My order 553 from last week 23 August arrived ice cold as usual and the food was disgusting. Rolls are always stale and my chips were old and refried ...just oil and gross!
How can this poor quality of food and service be ongoing from a franchise?We LOVE steers, but this is slowly putting our household off from your food!

We went to buy Steer in Carletonville on 22 Aug 2017. The floor were filthy and full of rubbish,
the till did not work, the cheffs were standing around eating chips and the table was not clean even though they saw us sitting at a filthy table they did not bother to clean it.
This was a big disappointment Steers is one of my fave fast-food restaurants. But more and more its becoming my least favorite.
You have certainly lost a customer.

On the 01/08/17 I ordered from Steers Braamfontein the order was then delivered to my work place where I gentleman came with a speed point. I paid for the order R434.40 he then went on to tell me that the speed points battery was low and it switched off without issuing a a receipt and he would need to retake the money. We got into a lengthy conversation about whether the amount would be taken twice or not he then went on to reassure me the amount would bounce right back to my account, and that I should pay again. We took the payment again an hour later I realized the money was not back I contacted the branch to be answered by a laid back rude lady who didn't give a *** what was happening she advised it would return in 3 days and that they were now closing I went on to say the gentleman that delivered the food said no such he said immediately. She then said what must I now do come get it now. And then went on to drop the call in my ear. It's now the 3rd day and nothing.

I ordered a cheesy chips and bacon bits from Menlo Park Steers. When I got back to my office, after getting stuck in traffic for 30mins, I saw that they had given me regular chips and placed a few small pieces of bacon on top of the regular chips.
I find it absolutely pathetic how many order we have that go wrong, from that Steers branch specifically.
I can't understand what kind of imbecile you'd have to be to mess up such an easy order.

I ordered 2x wacky wednesdays this evening, not only was the burgers so dry and tasteless... my side order chips was not even delivered., called them to deliver my chips..the lady tells me the driver will leave in 20 minutes to deliver it..while my family needs to sit and choke in the dry burgers in the mean while... eventually the driver arrives 1HOUR and 4 phone calls later (very nice guy will deal with him anyday) but because the person behind the till handling my calls just does not give a flying ..., , this is pathetic a complete WASTE OF MONEY!, , utterly bad service, bad taste of food... and I really feel like I could have gotten alot better service at another place or even another franchise for that matter because The Berg steers just disgusted me completely tonight.
I am really requesting steers correct their wrong and I am expecting feedback!

Hi i ordered from steers and debonairs woodmead retail park ! I am beyond angry and i will never buy from them again . The driver forgot my drink so i told him to go and fetch it and ill pay once i received my drink.. he returned but forgot to bring the speed point. I told him to come again and this time when he came he didn't know how to use the speedpoint after 5 mins i god fed up i just swiped my card told him to keep his receipt as my bank had informed me that i had paid . Pls steers and debonairs hire people who know what they are doing this driver should be fired or retrained because he came to my house 3 times !

I was at steers at thokoza at the engen garage, I ordered a caramel dip but I was told the caramel is too hard which I said its ohk they can just give me a plain cone ice cream but to my surprise I was charged 12rand for a plain cone ice cream that is supposed to be 5.50. when I wanted to get the remainder of the money that I was over charged they told me they can because she already selected 12rand on the system. This lady's name is simphiwe's dlamini thats if she ddnt lie to me because she wasnt wearing a name tag. she was so rude she left me there with out resolving my issue .

18th june 2017 - steers at wild coast sun - I went to steers and bought a full chicken and a large chips and 4 rolls and a 1litre coke.
A male was at the collections department.
Firstly I asked him for plates for us to eat the chicken in and he states that we do not have plates. I asked him for tumblers for the cold drink and he states that we do not have any tumblers. Then I also asked him for containers for the sauce and he states that I must bring my packet to the front and put the sauce on the food.
On the 19th june 2017 I called the wild coast sun and complained to customer care (Marilise) who stated that she will get steers to contact me. I am still awaiting that call.
