My Positive Experience with Storenvy: Don't Be Scared Off by Negative Reviews
I gotta say, I was a bit hesitant to use Storenvy at first. I mean, there are so many negative reviews out there, it's hard to know what to believe. But I decided to take a chance, and I'm glad I did. My experience was actually pretty good, and I want to share that with you all.
So, here's the deal. Storenvy isn't actually a store. It's more like a marketplace where independent sellers can post their products for you to buy. Storenvy takes a small cut of the sale, but the rest goes to the seller. This means that the quality of your experience is really dependent on which seller you buy from. Some sellers are great, and some...not so much.
I bought from a seller called No Face Neko, and I have to say, they were awesome. My order was estimated to arrive in 3-4 weeks, but it actually came in just 2. And the product was exactly what I wanted. But I know that not everyone has had such a positive experience.
Here's the thing. A lot of the negative reviews you see are from people who had a bad experience with their seller. Maybe the seller was slow to ship, or the product never arrived at all. And I get it, that's frustrating. But it's important to remember that not every seller is like that. Some are really great, and they take their business seriously.
So, if you're thinking about using Storenvy, here's my advice. Take a look at the seller you're thinking of buying from. Do they have other products up for sale? Have they sold things on Storenvy before? These are good indicators of their credibility. And if you do decide to buy from them, just be patient. Shipping times can vary, especially if the seller is located overseas.
Overall, I had a really positive experience with Storenvy. And I wanted to share that with you all, because I know how hard it can be to find reliable reviews online. So, if you're thinking about using Storenvy, don't be scared off by the negative reviews. Just do your research, and be patient. Good luck!
Storenvy Review: A Great Platform for Small Businesses
I've been selling on Storenvy since May 2014 and I gotta say, I really love it. Even though there were some changes in January 2015 that made me consider switching to a different platform, I'm glad I stuck with Storenvy.
The fees are pretty reasonable in my opinion. I don't mind the 10% marketplace fee as long as it brings me a sale. However, there were a few instances where Storenvy took 10% out of sales from people I knew who clicked on a personal link I provided. That's why I decided to take myself out of the marketplace. But the best part is that all sales that I drive myself with my marketing are fee-free (other than PayPal fees). That's seriously amazing! I get a customizable, professional-looking website for free.
The support could be better though. I wish there was a phone number I could call instead of just emailing. It takes a couple of days for them to reply, and then I reply back and it takes another couple of days for them to reply again. It's reasonable since people are busy, but it's inconvenient.
Glitches happen on all website/store platforms, and Storenvy is no exception. It's really inconvenient when I don't have an answer for a customer with a checkout problem, but glitches pass and customers will understand.
If you're a small business looking for a great platform, I highly recommend Storenvy! I also recommend doing your own marketing (social media, locally, purchasing blog ad space (like on Passion Fruit Ads)). If you have a great product, great customer service, and a little extra cash to get your name out there, then you will thrive! I also recommend getting the extras on Storenvy like the domain name and extra discount codes.
Overall, I think Storenvy is a great platform for small businesses. As a seller, I've had a positive experience with it.
Terrible Experience with Storenvy: Outsourced to Chinese Company, Incorrect Item Shipped, No Refund Offered
I had a terrible experience with Storenvy. I thought I was ordering a nice charcoal gray top for my daughter for Christmas via Megafashion. But it turns out that it was outsourced through Storevny to a Chinese company who puts Chinese characters for the name of their company, so I don't know who I have been dealing with. The e-mail contact has been ***@gmail.com. They respond quickly and are courteous, but not willing to take care of my problem.
I ordered the top on Dec. 16. In Ferbruary, I told them after many, many e-mails, that I wanted to cancel the order and get a refund if it didn't arrive by the end of the week. Amazingly, the package came a couple of days later. Funny, the tracking showed that the package was still in China. When I opened the package, there was an incredibly cheap t-shirt top nothing like what I ordered. They changed the item number on the confirmation they sent in December, and I didn't realize it. So, when they sent me the cheap T-shirt, they kept saying they just ship what is on the order confirmation.
At one point, they offered to send me half of what I paid to settle. They also wanted me to send the return to this address:
"Thank you for your message! If you want to return your order, please via USPS(or POST) shipping the item to our supplier. Please write or print your order information with a note and put it in the package. Tell us you want a refund or replacement, and provide the photo of the Post's receipt (or Customs Form #) to us.
Our supplier address:
Yang Haoming
No. 2, Tang Keng Road Shiyan Town,
Shenzhen, Guangdong ***
China
***"
So they wanted me to pay for shipping and customs fees to return a package they shipped incorrectly. I really doubt that I would have received any kind of refund.
I am completely dissatisfied with this clearing house and would never even consider ordering from them again. The whole experience was a complete disaster, and I would not recommend Storenvy to anyone.
Storenvy Review: A Solid Platform with Customizable Storefronts and Easy Mobile Use
I gotta say, I don't think Storenvy deserves all the hate it's been getting. I've been using it as both a buyer and seller for over a year now, and I have to say, I'm pretty satisfied with my experience.
One of the things I love about Storenvy is the storefront customization. You can really make your store look however you want, and for a small monthly fee, you can even have your own domain. I think that's a pretty sweet deal, especially since not all sites offer that kind of customization. It really helps your store stand out and show off your unique style.
And using Storenvy on my phone has been a breeze. I haven't had any issues with it at all.
Now, I know some people have had bad experiences with sellers not shipping their items, but that's not really Storenvy's fault. It's just like with eBay or any other site - you have to do your research and make sure the seller is trustworthy before you buy. I've had plenty of successful transactions on Storenvy, and I've found some really cool and unique items that I probably wouldn't have found on other sites.
I was a little hesitant about using Stripe at first, but it's been working out fine for me. And if you don't want to use it, you can always turn it off. It's all about doing your research and not jumping to conclusions.
Sure, the traffic on Storenvy might not be as high as some other sites, but that's just because it's not as well-known. And honestly, a 10% fee on a sale isn't that bad. You're still getting 90% of the sale, and Storenvy is providing a service for you. It's not like everything in life is free, you know? If you want to take all the profits, you can always make your own site.
Overall, I think Storenvy is a pretty solid platform. It's not perfect, but what site is? As long as you do your research and use common sense, you can have a great experience on Storenvy.
Disappointing Wedding Dress Purchase from Storenvy: Wrong Color and Fit Issues
I recently purchased a dress from Storenvy for my upcoming wedding in November. I made sure to email the company beforehand to confirm that the dress would be the same color as the one shown in the picture on their website, which appeared to be a lovely tan/beige color. They assured me that it would be, so I went ahead and asked all of my bridesmaids to order the same $110 dress. We opted for standard sizes, rather than custom ones. However, when the dresses arrived last week, we were sorely disappointed. The bust was much larger than expected, while the waist and hips fit just fine. All of my bridesmaids had the same issue with the bust being too big. While I understood that this was not the company's fault, as we had not ordered custom sizes, the biggest problem was the color. The dresses were pure WHITE, which was not at all what we had wanted. Only the bride is supposed to wear white on her wedding day, so this was a major issue. I contacted the company to request a refund and find out how to return the dresses, but they claimed that the dresses were custom orders and could not be refunded. This was not true, as their return policy clearly states that refunds can be given for mistakes in color or size. I even took a screenshot of the policy to show them. However, they continued to insist that the dresses were "ivory," which was not the color shown in the picture or the color of the dresses. In fact, they were even whiter than my own wedding dress! To make matters worse, the dresses were made of a different fabric than the one shown in the picture. One of my other bridesmaids had the same issue and also tried to return her dress, but the company claimed that she had ordered a custom size (which was not true) and refused to refund her. Overall, I would not recommend this company at all.
Storenvy Review: A Free and Fun Alternative to Greenway for Online Sellers
I've been selling online for almost a year now on a well-known site that I won't name, but let's just call it Greenway. The hoops that Greenway makes its sellers jump through are just not fair. But this review is about storenvy.com, so let me tell you what I know. I've had a store on Storenvy for about 3 months now, but I haven't opened it yet. I'm just scared that they don't get the traffic that Greenway does. It's not their fault, Greenway just greases a better palm.
I started selling online at the same time that I was trying to learn the basics of computing. I was just surfing the web to find other places like Greenway.com, and that's when I stumbled upon Storenvy. It's a free store and I can bring my own .com with me. Plus, it offers a store front that you can design any way you want. It's not like pulling teeth trying to figure out the format. Even though there's so much that you can do, they make it fun and the wording is understandable for someone like me.
I'm a single mother of two who lives in Los Angeles, CA. I'm trying to make an honest living selling new and slightly used high-end items at fair prices. I don't have enough hours in a day to learn someone else's format that changes like the wind blows. I know the keys to sales are quality, affordability, and repeat customers.
To sum it up, I really like the ideals that Storenvy has offered me and I hope that they will stay true to their sellers and have a protection policy that's fair and does its job, not one that's one-sided (their side). I hope they can see that some sellers can't afford these new buyer policies that let someone keep our items, use them, tear them up, and then return them six months later hassle-free, no questions asked. We can't do anything about it. That's not why I bust my hump working and staying up all hours learning this craft. I just want a place where I can make some extra money so maybe I can pay all my light bills or take my kids out for pizza. And sell my stuff and have happy repeat buyers.
I think I've found that place with Storenvy. It's not somewhere that finds a way to hit you with fees so that at the end, you make nothing and then in six months, the item is returned and guess who's paying for it? I like Storenvy and I'm going to see if we fit.
THANK YOU 13too5.
Storenvy Review: A Breath of Fresh Air for Sellers and Buyers Alike
Storenvy is a great platform for sellers and buyers alike. As someone who has been selling on Etsy for a few years, I can say that Storenvy is a breath of fresh air. The platform is very user-friendly and the admin team is caring and responsive. They are always there to help when you need them.
One of the best things about Storenvy is that it offers an amazing platform that is very easy to use. Although there are some minor technical glitches that come with any venue, their system is pretty seamless. Sales and purchases are easy, with a smooth interface to Paypal. They generate invoices and packing slips for the seller/buyer and provide easy shipping notification where you can personalize your message to the buyer, as well as add in tracking info. And they offer all of this, without taking away the sellers' control over their shops or shop policies. Honestly, our shop set up, sales, and purchases have been FAR easier on Storenvy.
While we have been there, we have seen fairly consistent changes. Their tech team and admin have been working steadily on adding new features which actually make things easier for the sellers & buyers. They listen to us, and work with us.
Customers can create a profile, or check out as a guest, which is very nice. They can also buy from multiple shops within Storenvy, and only need to check out once. And it all goes smoothly.
I understand that with every venue there will be some shops that are not the best, and things will happen, as the neg comments here show. But keeping in mind that these comments are about individual shops, and not the venue itself, I would say I am sorry that these people had a bad experience. However, there are 30,000+ individual shops, most of which are wonderful, with professional and caring owners.
Some things I would suggest to all buyers, regardless of where you shop, are to know what you are buying. If the photos and description are not clear, chances are, you may not receive what you imagined the item would be. It's also important to understand the agreement you make when purchasing from individual shops. Check that the shop is legit. Do they have their FAQ filled out? Do you agree with their Shop Policies? Because each individual shop will have their own policies, for returns, refunds, shipping, etc. Storenvy does not set these, the shop owners do.
These things are important, no matter which venue you choose to frequent or buy through. Myself, I have had wonderful experiences on Storenvy, and aside from the friends made on Etsy, I won't be looking back!
My Experience with Storenvy: Commission and Marketplace Disappointments
I just deleted my Storenvy shop after having it for a few years. It was a bit of a hassle to close it down since I had to wait for six months after my last sale. I opened my shop as a way to generate more sales outside of my website. I wasn't too fond of the name "envy" in their name, but I decided to give it a try anyway.
Storenvy used to be completely commission-free, but they eventually needed to make money and introduced "The Marketplace." The Marketplace was supposed to give more exposure to Storenvy shops. If customers went to your shop through Storenvy.com, it was considered a "marketplace" sale and subject to a 10% commission. Storenvy claimed that sellers had the option to promote their own store and not pay a commission or pay the commission for more exposure.
Since I had my own website and a decent following on my Facebook business page, I chose not to use the Marketplace. I was already promoting Storenvy on my website and Facebook page. However, after turning off the Marketplace option, my sales dropped significantly. Repeat customers told me that they couldn't purchase anything directly from my store and had to fill out a new buyer application.
Storenvy kept sending me pop-ups and emails to turn on the Marketplace option, so I eventually did. I got a few orders here and there, but it wasn't as much as before. Most of the purchases were shown as coming from the Marketplace, even though I knew for a fact that customers went directly to my store through the link I advertised on my website and Facebook page.
If Storenvy had charged a flat 3% commission, I would have kept my shop open. It seems like they want sellers to join the Marketplace, and if they don't, oh well. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with Storenvy and wouldn't recommend it to others.
Setting the Record Straight: My Review of Storenvy as a Seller
Hey, I'm a seller on Storenvy and I have to say, most of the reviews I've seen are just plain wrong. Let me set the record straight.
Storenvy is a platform for buying and selling goods, just like Amazon, Ebay, and Etsy. People sell all sorts of things on these platforms, from handmade goods to vintage items to resell items and more.
But here's the thing: when you buy something on Storenvy, you're buying it from a specific store or seller, not from Storenvy itself. So if you have an issue with your purchase, you need to contact the store directly, not Storenvy.
And please, for the love of all that is good, read the descriptions before you buy something. Sizing can be different in other countries, and Americans are generally larger than people in other parts of the world. Don't blame Storenvy for your own mistakes.
There are plenty of great sellers on Storenvy, and it's a great platform for small business owners, especially when they're just starting out. But some people seem to think that everything should be cheap and easy, and they get angry when things don't go their way.
If you have an issue with a purchase, contact the store directly and try to work it out. If that doesn't work, then you can try contacting Storenvy. But don't blame Storenvy for something that's not their fault.
And please, be mature about it. Life isn't perfect, and sometimes things go wrong. Deal with it like an adult.
Overall, I give Storenvy a rating of 10. They allow me to sell my products on their platform for free, and the small fee for marketplace access is more than worth it. Running a business isn't cheap or easy, and buyers need to keep that in mind.
So if you're thinking about buying something on Storenvy, go for it. Just remember to read the descriptions, contact the store if you have an issue, and be mature about it.
Storenvy Review: Affordable Pricing, Customizable Storefront, Poor Marketplace Exposure, Fraudulent Buyers, and Terrible Customer Service
I'm writing this review because I want to give my honest opinion about Storenvy. I know the CEO Jon Crawford asked for positive reviews, but I want to give my genuine thoughts for those who are considering opening a shop on Storenvy.
Firstly, the pricing is affordable at the moment, but there are concerns that costs may increase in the future. Storenvy is struggling as a company and has admitted that they are not making enough profits to keep their company going. Currently, it costs $5/month to have your own domain and $5/month for coupon privileges. Purchases from the marketplace take a 10% commission off of your sales, and regular Stripe/Paypal transaction fees apply as well.
The marketplace exposure is not as impressive as Etsy or eBay because Storenvy is not as well known as them. People complain a lot about not having a lot of views through the marketplace, and it's most likely because Storenvy does a poor job of advertising it. The two biggest issues for people are that you can only use Stripe as your payment processor and the 10% marketplace fee is "too much." However, in my experience so far, Stripe has not been an issue for me, and the fee honestly isn't that bad considering eBay charges a 10% final value fee as well.
The best part about Storenvy is the custom storefront. It is fully customizable with the knowledge of HTML/CSS/Liquid markup, there's no page limit, and it is completely free. Other features that stood out to me were Google Analytics, variant pricing, and being able to check off whether your item is "on sale" or "pre-order." They just added a new shipping feature also which will let you ship products out directly from your dashboard instead of using 3rd party apps like shipeasy, but I haven't tried this yet.
Storenvy wanted to start a new program where they would have a marketplace sale, and everyone joins in and lists 20 of their items for a $10 fee. The sale is advertised as "20% off" off everything, so considering there is no guarantee in making a sale, you are certain to be left unprofitable since you have to account for losing $10 (assuming nothing sells), and IF you make a sale, you will also lose 10% of your sale price in marketplace fees, 20% off your sale price due to the promotion, and Stripe transaction fees. A lot of people were egged on to join the sale and ended up losing money because there were bugs during the first launch, and marketplace advertising was a joke. For most people overall, it was "not worth it." Aside from that, they are also considering adding new features like "bulk editing," etc. Nothing written in stone though.
If you plan to sell in the marketplace, the only payment processor you can use is Stripe. The current issue with Stripe is that there are A LOT of fraudulent buyers who use Stripe. Storenvy's team says they are working on this at the moment. And if you sell through your custom storefront, you can use PayPal OR Stripe.
The customer service sucks. Straight up. You only have like, 5 people running this website, and when there is an issue they can't solve, they stop replying to you, and you will most likely never get an answer. Lol. First reply is within 24 hours, but after that, it's questionable. You can only contact them through their FAQ support fill out forum thing on their website. Email's will redirect you. No direct phone number to call either. That's why you have the Storenvy community forum Facebook page... where everyone goes to rant about their problems. Then the CEO Jon Crawford gets fed up with the fact that you don't appreciate his website and what he built for you. And you're stuck in a position where if you have something negative to say, your opinion doesn't matter.
I've been on Storenvy as a seller for 3 months. I love the fact that they offer a lot of features that are free like % off discounts and a custom storefront. All the sales I've had on here were fraudulent, even when I've changed my Stripe settings to block out suspicious buyers. Fees are reasonable. But the exposure here sucks. I think for most of us, we were baited in because we think the marketplace will get us sales. I only get about 1-2 marketplace views a day. All my exposure is driven through my custom store, where I've made it SEO friendly and spend a lot of time advertising through social media. I'm annoyed that I can't customize my shopping cart for my custom storefront. When people go to my custom storefront, they believe it's my website until when they checkout, they get taken to Storenvy's checkout page and they get redirected to other stores. I don't like how there aren't any search filters either. And when you put an item on sale, you don't get to show what the original price is before it goes on sale. Part of marketing tactics is that you need to show buyers they are getting a good deal. Just writing "on sale" and seeing the price isn't enticing enough for shoppers to want to buy from you. They want to know they are getting a deal. I haven't had any sales on Storenvy (other than fraudulent ones), so I moved my business to eBay sometime last week. I've made 12 sales within 5 days and over $200 in my pocket. It's really sad to know Storenvy isn't as promising. With this in mind, I may consider closing down my Storenvy shop soon.
Overall, there are a lot of things I would want to see changed about Storenvy. There are a lot of things they are "planning" to fix. They have a lot of bug issues that need to be sorted out. I really hope I can see these fixes before I leave. With that being said, as a starting up business, I would recommend Storenvy to save on costs, but after your business grows, try moving somewhere else that's more professional and worth the additional costs, like Shopify or Squarespace. With those websites, at least you get Google AdWords to help advertise your website. I also suggest trying out different outlets to see what works best for you.

Disappointing Experience with Storenvy: Lack of Communication and Support for Sellers
I decided to give Storenvy a try and open up a shop to sell my handmade items. At first, I was excited to have a new platform to showcase my products and hopefully make some sales. However, my experience with Storenvy quickly turned sour.
One of the biggest issues I had with Storenvy was their notification system. Despite checking my store frequently, I was not notified of any transactions. It wasn't until weeks or even over a month later that I would suddenly see sales added to my shop without any notification from Storenvy. This caused a lot of confusion and frustration, especially during my busiest season when I suddenly had a large order that was already a month old.
When I reached out to tech support for an explanation, they were unable to provide one. This lack of communication and support from Storenvy was a big disappointment. As a result, I had to refund a buyer who understandably did not want to wait for their items.
To make matters worse, even though I closed my shop almost a year ago, Storenvy still uses my photos to promote their site. This is not only misleading, but it also shows a lack of respect for sellers who have moved on from their platform.
In my opinion, Storenvy does very little to curate the quality of their site or help their customers (sellers). The majority of the products being sold on Storenvy are imported garbage marked up from Aliexpress. This is not only unfair to sellers who put time and effort into creating their own products, but it also makes it difficult for buyers to find unique and high-quality items.
Overall, my experience with Storenvy was disappointing and frustrating. I would not recommend this platform to anyone looking to sell their products online.
Storenvy's Forced Use of Stripe and Commission Changes - My Experience and Why I Left
Storenvy was my go-to for almost three years and I must say, I was a huge fan. I had hundreds of sales and was always satisfied with their service. However, things took a turn for the worse when they announced that they would be taking a 10% commission on all marketplace sales. I was a bit taken aback by this, but I figured it was just a small price to pay for the convenience of using their platform.
But then, they dropped another bombshell - they were going to require all sellers to use Stripe. I had never heard of Stripe before, so I decided to do some research. What I found was not encouraging. Their customer service was terrible, they offered no buyer or seller protection, and their fees were higher than Paypal. I was not thrilled about this development, but I figured I could just turn off my marketplace shop and avoid the whole thing.
However, things took a turn for the worse when I received an email from Storenvy informing me that they would be creating a Stripe account for me. This was not okay. I did not want to use Stripe and I certainly did not want Storenvy creating an account for me without my consent. This was the final straw for me and I made the decision to leave Storenvy.
I was a huge supporter of their platform and had even referred hundreds of people to them. But the way they went about these changes was not cool. I have seen countless complaints about Stripe and I am so glad that I made the switch back to Etsy. Maybe one day Storenvy will get their act together and I will consider returning, but for now, I am happy with my decision.
Storenvy Review: A Scam Site with Terrible Customer Service
So, I recently made a purchase from Storenvy and boy was it a mistake! As soon as I placed my order, the website went down and it hasn't been back up since. I tried to contact the customer service representative, Tiffany Banks, but she was extremely rude and unhelpful. She even accused me of just wanting something to complain about! Can you believe it?
It seems like everyone who ordered a Christmas gift from Storenvy is upset because they promised to deliver by the 23rd, but many people never received their orders. I was told my order was being shipped a long time ago, but it wasn't until two days before Christmas that I received a notification that it was finally being shipped. This is just proof that Storenvy is a scam and Tiffany Banks is a liar.
To make matters worse, I was never given a tracking number for my order. When I brought this up to Tiffany, she tried to argue with me that every customer is given a tracking number. Well, I wasn't! It's clear that Storenvy, stylelick, and Tiffany Banks are all part of a scam and I would strongly advise everyone to stay away from these sites. Stick to trusted websites like Ebay, Amazon, and Etsy. I've never had any problems with purchases from those three sites.
In fact, I ordered the same product from a seller on Ebay here in California and I received it just three days after I placed my order, and for half the price! It's clear that Storenvy is just trying to rip people off and they don't care about their customers at all. Save yourself the headache and avoid Storenvy at all costs.

Storenvy Review: Terrible Customer Service and Cheap Knockoff Item Received
I recently made a purchase on Storenvy for what was supposed to be a beautiful prom gown for my daughter. However, what I received was a cheap knockoff costume that was nowhere near what was advertised. I was extremely disappointed and reached out to Storenvy for assistance, but they refused to get involved. The seller offered me a measly $24 refund for a purchase that was over $200, and even suggested that I resell the item with their stock photos. I was shocked and appalled that they would essentially advise me to scam someone else like I was scammed.
I admit that I should have known better, but I was trying to save money while still providing my daughter with a beautiful dress. Instead, this experience turned into a nightmare. Thankfully, we took screenshots of their empty return section and had an email we sent to verify that we could return the dress for a full refund if it was not up to par. This was important because they updated their return policy the day after we made our purchase.
However, the return process was not easy. Paypal now requires the buyer to pay for shipping, and the seller was betting on me not paying the extreme shipping cost back to China. Paypal will only refund up to $30, but the USPS shipping cost was $75. The seller kept insisting that they only accept FedEx, which was even more expensive at $130. However, Paypal informed me that any return with tracking was acceptable.
The service, or lack thereof, from both the seller and Storenvy was horrendous. Their responses were incomplete, illegible, and screamed of fraud. It was clear that they knew people were trying to save money and were preying on that.
In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Storenvy to stay away. The risk of receiving a cheap knockoff item and dealing with terrible customer service is not worth the potential savings.
Storenvy Review: Frustrations with International Shipping, Marketplace Enrollment, and Stripe Security
So, I've been using Storenvy for a while now and I have to say, there are some things that really grind my gears. First off, you can't turn off international shipping. I mean, come on, not everyone wants to ship their products overseas. It's just not practical.
Another thing that really bothers me is that all new stores are automatically enrolled in the marketplace. I get that they want to promote their platform, but it should be up to the store owner to decide if they want to be a part of it or not.
And don't even get me started on Stripe. You can't activate your shop until you sign up with them, and they're just not secure. I've heard so many horror stories about chargebacks and invalid international sales. It's like they don't even care about basic credit processing security checks.
Plus, there's no dedicated support phone number or email address. You have to tweet at them on Twitter. I mean, seriously? That's just not professional.
And if you do have to deal with a chargeback or refund, your fees aren't automatically credited back to your account. You have to open a support transaction to get your money back. It's just a hassle.
The marketplace traffic volume is also pretty low, and the site seems to lag when indexing new items in your storefront. This can negatively impact your search performance, which is just not good.
Overall, I don't think the performance of the site, the features provided, or the level of service justifies the 10% commission they demand. I would suggest looking elsewhere for a better platform.
Storenvy Review: Once-Great Platform Falls Far with Shady Practices and Poor Customer Service
I used to be a big fan of Storenvy back in the day. It was a beautiful platform with great customer service, especially from Adam who was always quick to respond and help with any issues. However, things took a turn for the worse when they implemented Stripe. I had closed my store over the holidays to deal with vendor issues and rework my products, but when I started seeing all sorts of issues in my Facebook feed from the forum I was a member of, I knew something was wrong.
Stripe was being offered as an option even though merchants didn't sign up for an account, and some merchants had already shipped orders only to have Stripe refund the customers their money. Despite being emailed and tweeted numerous times by merchants and customers, SE (Storenvy) no longer addresses issues. The Marketplace, which was a great way for customers to find you, is no longer an option if you don't use Stripe, and if you do, SE takes a whopping 10% of every sale. I understand they need to make money, but 10% is a bit steep.
To make matters worse, instead of addressing any concerns in their Facebook forum, they no longer allow non-admins to post on the page! How shady is that? It's clear that they no longer care about their Store Owners. I was so disappointed that I left the forum, left Storenvy, and created a free website using embedded code from my SquareUp store and PayPal buttons. I wasn't about to go back to Etsy either.
I really hope that Jon (the founder) can deflate his ego in time to see the ship sinking under his feet. This is no way to run a business. I used to believe in Storenvy and recommended it to others, but now I'm ashamed that I ever did. It's heartbreaking to see a once-great platform fall so far.
Storenvy's Switch to Stripe: A Glitchy Disaster with Ridiculous Fees
When I first started using Storenvy back in 2013, I was over the moon. As a seller who has been selling online since 2007, I had never come across a platform that was so easy to use, free, and allowed me to use Paypal for all of my transactions. It was a dream come true and one of the best selling platforms I had ever used.
However, things have changed since then.
While I don't mind paying a percentage to Storenvy if I sell through the Marketplace (it's only fair, right?), what I do mind is being forced to use Stripe. Don't get me wrong, I understand that Storenvy wants to offer their own payment processing system, but Stripe is glitchy and it makes Storenvy glitchy too. Plus, their fees are ridiculous. It makes customer support even more difficult when instead of an instant refund like on Paypal, it can take up to two weeks for my customer's to receive a refund if needed. And don't even get me started on paying for shipping fees and the like. I have to wait until the money has been deposited into my bank account which adds even MORE time onto people getting their orders.
As a rather small business, I have never opened up a business bank account. Why pay for that when I can essentially have one on Paypal for free? It can wreak havoc on your personal finances when you have a shared bank account. And it hardly seems fair to ask your partner to go over every single little itty bitty charge they intend to make when half of it is their money anyways.
If Storenvy would let me use Paypal in the marketplace once again, I would willingly pay their 10% commission on sales. Even if it is a bit steep. I'd even be willing to pay a flat monthly amount at this point. But Stripe... what a disaster. It's glitchy, their fees are ridiculous, and it makes customer support even more difficult. Storenvy, please bring back Paypal!
A sum of $119.47 was charged to my credit card. I have never purchased anything from Education.com. I have attempted to contacted them regarding the matter with very minimal results. I have never heard of this company and have no idea who they are. Someone who only gave the first name *** contacted me with a request for an account number as well as an email associated with a Premium account. I am unable to provide that information because I never made a purchase nor was I sent a ***. The amount was simply missing from my credit card account. I have since canceled the card the amount was debited from but would like to know how they came by my credit card information. Is it a scam? Do they have an employee who is a scammer. I want answers and they aren't providing me with any. Just what appears to be an automated message to get back to me which they never follow through with.
I had purchased a subscription in August 2021, I cancelled my subscription and stopped auto renew on my account in October. I was under the impression that my card would no longer be charged and that my subscription was cancelled. I never revisited the site. Ive been charged up until July 2022. I contacted customer service through email and they only offered to refund July when I havent used there services since October. I cancelled my subscription online and when I checked my account I was still being charged. I had to cancel again the same way I cancelled in October. I provided screen shots that my account shows no activity after October. Ive been charged *** a month when my account was supposed to be cancelled. I want the money back for the months that my account was not active I have proof of all activity. This is theft. Please help us. Email is
I signed up for a yearly account on 08/11/2022 and the charge for the yearly membership came out the next day. Then, on 8/29/2022, you charged my card another $119.88. I emailed you the same day and asked the funds to be returned. I have now also attempted to contact you on *** Still no response. You have stolen the funds from my account and have refused to respond to my attempts to contact you. The fact you do not have a phone number that works is concerning. Please return my money you stole immedietly.
Storenvy Review: Cheap but Buggy Platform with a Disappointing Marketplace
I used to sell on Storenvy and I gotta say, it was pretty great. It was the cheapest way to have your own online store and I was able to sell my products without any issues for almost a year. However, earlier this year, they made some changes that really messed things up. They started charging marketplace commissions and added Stripe, which caused a lot of glitches and site outages.
Customers were reaching out to me saying they couldn't check out and I couldn't even see my orders. It was a mess. The final straw was when someone was charged 7 times for a single order because the site was malfunctioning and not showing that the order was processed on her end. It was a nightmare. There were so many outages that I started to wonder how many potential customers were not buying because of these problems.
Storenvy has a marketplace, but to be honest, it's a joke. I searched for my product using the keyword, words in the title and description, and it didn't show up until page 6. My product is not common, so it's not like other items were pushing me back to page 6. It was 5 pages of completely irrelevant products, then on page 6, items with the keyword I searched for.
If you want to be a seller and have customers come to you, you need to use a marketplace that actually pulls the words you are searching for, like Amazon, Etsy, and Ebay. I tried my keywords on those platforms and my products were all up on the first page. So, I'm not sure why anyone would pay a 10% commission on a marketplace that sucks when you can use Ebay for 10% or Etsy for 3.5%.
If you drive your own traffic to the site and don't rely on the marketplace, it's a very cost-effective option. However, you have to be prepared for frequent bugs. There are less than 10 people running this huge platform, so they have lots of problems without a lot of help. Overall, Storenvy can be a good option for some, but it's definitely not perfect.
took my money but never sent item and won't answer/respond to my emails!!
Placed an order for a cross stitch pattern and they took my money and my order has been out for shipment since 10/02/18 and it is now 10/24/18. No one from either company will respond to me but they took my money! You are a fake!
It is with #blip103patterns-[protected] for a Monster High cross stitch pattern and when I try to contact the store at the email address they provide it comes back as undeliverable because the user doesn't have a Verizon.net account. I have written to you several times also and no one from your place will respond either. JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!

did not receive order
I order two items on October 14 for my grand daughter, both items should have been here by now. I have emailed each seller twice and got no response. I even got the telephone number for Baby Fashion Company. I called and asked the woman if she could answer questions about Baby Fashion Company through Storenvy and she said maybe but would have to call me back which she did not.
I would like my money refunded or the product. I would also like an email letting me know the resolution of this incident.
My order confirmation is below.

scammers
So many extra actions caused by this shady company.
I receive a wrong size dress. Naturally, I wasn't going to keep it to myself, so I contacted the company to let them know I want to return this crap.
They said ok, return it. I did. Moreover, I shipped it at my expense and it was never refunded.
But the most ridiculous thing is that they blamed me for wearing this dress before shipping. What? How could this happen if it was too small to even put it on? Of course, they didn't refund anything. Very convenient, scammers!
Never shop here
Stay away and shop elsewhere. Don't send your money on their items and service. You won't get anything but a headache.
They sent my dress in a different color and with the poorest quality in the world. Counting that it was a bridesmaid one, I couldn't wear it. I would be too embarrassed.
Unfortunately, they are very sneaky and won't refund me anything. The made up very tricky policies where the customer is always wrong. It's all about our money and nothing about their good service.
jordan retro 12 sneakers
I purchased a pair of Air Jordan Retro 12 sneakers in July. Received in early August. Sneakers were not worn until end of August (school start). The "gold" rivet has come off on top of sneaker. This is not acceptable. It can not be "fixed". There is no way to put back in . I am not happy about this. The sneakers are practically brand new. Also want to know why the sneaker SKU numbers do not match up from sneaker and box? Did I get knock-off sneakers?
I would appreciate a response and have something done about the sneakers. I do have a picture of box and sneaker if that is needed.
I thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
No order and no response from customer support
I have ordered some jewelry from Storenvy about two months ago and have yet to receive my order.
First thing that seemed strange was that they never gave me a tracking number and even after I asked them to send me one they did not do that. When I emailed them about my order they said that they need some time to find out what was going on, but I never heard anything back! They stopped replying to my messages and did not provide any information.
Then I found all the reviews online and was shocked! This is truly a scam! Do not order anything from this site! I already gave up and it seems that I'll never receive my stuff but I'll make sure to tell everyone I know about Storenvy!
My order is in process for two months!!!
I made an order back in February and I was supposed to received it a long time ago, but still nothing. When I went to Storenvy website and checked the status of my order it said that it wasn't shipped yet! It is now April and my order is still processing! I can understand anything, late delivery, slow shipping, but how is it possible that order is in process for two months? Tried to contact customer care but they ignored me. I guess they decided to keep my money.
It was terrible.
Storenvy is a terrible company! I purchased a gift for my wife back in October and yet received nothing! I sent them numerous emails, but heard nothing from them. I want to know where my order is, but they ignore my messages! I even called them many times and left voice mails, but no one called me back! What is wrong with them? All I want is my order or my money back! ! To bad there are so many people in this world that want to do nothing. I doubt that this store is actually real, because it seems to me that it is fake! I'm very sad and disgusted with this company! They ruined my surprise, took my money and continue to ignore me! I hate Storenvy!
Scammmmm!
Like the saying goes "too good to be true". Thats exactly right. This girls is ridiculous. She is a pro @ scamming though, let me tell you. I placed 2 orders with her back to back. Never got confirmation email but i still thought I'd get my items. Days passed & nothing. We placed the order through my fiancé paypal just because if it was a scam it would be easier to get the money back. My fiancé grew inpatient so he emailed her to get status & sure enough she blocked him from instagram. I emailed her too- no reply. Thats when we realized he had to get the money back. He placed a claim with paypal & a couple days after i messaged her through instagram to ask what was going on- she told me someone placed a claim so my shipment was placed on hold. I left it at that. The next day she said to call her she had my tracking #. My fiancé had received email so i told her we had it already & she said ok but can you cancel the dispute with paypal. Of course, I believed her so i had my fiancé close down the claim. I was supposed to receive my shipments the next day but we realized the "package" was not moving. Called post office- she BOUGHT THE TRACKING NUMBER BUT DID NOT PLACE ANY ITEMS. Do not think that with you having a tracking number that means she will give you the merchandise. Now, we cannot open claim through paypal again so i am in the process of taking this lady to court. I will be getting my money back from the bank, but someone needs to sue her ###.
Never received my order
I ordered almost 3 months ago I keep asking for my items and she doesn't reply I even called and ask if I could pick up and when I did she said I could so I went and when I got there she said she never said I could pick up so she didn't have my items so I could either pick up the next day or wait that week and she would deliever it so I said I would pick up the next day and she closed that day and I never received my order that week either . Every time I ask her in Instagram about my order she deletes the comments and now she blocked me I ask for a refund and never got it
Business owner is a rude woman w/ excuses From what I've read && seen on her Instagram all of it is true . She does block people && delete comments she doesn't like or when they're about orders . Not to mention she comes off super rude. I placed two orders through her website about a month ago. Both which I PAID $2 for two day shipping . So where's my order ? Have no idea . I've contacted her several times asking about my order . Every time she asks "what's your name?" She told me she would deliver the next day. Never got my order . I kept texting her I could pick up . Then she told me a day &&a time && when the day came I asked for address to pick up && no response as expected. Then the next day I texted her && she said she would be delivering after 4. So I waited at home . Never came, no show . I cannot believe the amount of time it has taken to get my orders . Just because it is cheap does not mean she can take her sweet ### time shipping out things . Yeah we get it you have a life && a child to take care of but If you cannot act professionally nor make good on your words then DONT be running a "business" . Simple as that . && if I don't receive my orders writhing this week I will be getting a refund . Whatever it takes . Even if I have to file for a lawsuit . This is fraud .
I've ordered a few items and apparently the area live in " they don't dk deliveries" which they never mentioned. They said I had to pick up. Every time Id ask if my order was ready they ignore me. Every message or call I would get they'd ignore me after one reply they'd say which was always " what's your name". They're slow w/ deliveries or sometimes you won't even get them at all. I continue to get ignored & still haven't received my items or money .
Same exact thing happened to me! I'm so ANNOYED.
