Subway management

I worked at the subway in Ironton, Missouri for almost 2 years. It was the worst management I have EVER experienced in my life, absolutely dispicable. The manager is has a terrible attitude, plays favoratism, is very rude to customers, even young children, on a regular basis, and is just very hostile and makes working there miserable. It's unbelievable that she is allowed to treat her employees like this without ever being repremanded. That's why I'm writing this review, something needs to be done to stop this erratic behavior and terrible management. I'll give a few examples here to further explain my point:
First of all, since she is the manager she is responsible for making the schedules every week. Besides herself and the assistant manager, everyone is part time and normally works 4-5 five hour shifts a week, and she does normally try to give everyone an equal amount of shifts and generally gave us off days that had approved in advance. BUT, if you do something that she doesnt like, or she just doesn't like you as a person she would intentionally cut your hours and only allow you to work 1 or 2 days a week for an extended period of time, and schedual you to work on days that she has already told you would be approved off. And if she decides she doesn't like you personally, having nothing to do with your work ethic, she will continue to cut your hours to the point it's financially impossible to continue working there. She will also constantly nit pick your work, blaming you for anything that's dirty, food that hasn't been prepped to her liking, even if it was something you did not do, just anything she can do to make your life a living hell and push you to quit.
Her personal work ethic is terrible. Some days, mostly when the owner or his sons are there, she does her job like she should, doing her half of the dishes, sweeping, prepping food, etc. But most of the time she is lazy and makes whoever she's working with do all the work. She's a big smoker, and will stand on the little concrete pad outside the door in the back to smoke while you deal with customers. She leaves the door open, so she can obviously see and hear when more customers come on, but she won't come up to help until she's finished her cigarette, and sometimes will even walk off to "check the prep" or wash a few dishes and leave you with an entire line of customers to serve by yourself. And if you ask her for help she gets mad and acts as if she's super busy and you are inconveniencing her with having to serve customers instead of smoke. If she comes into work in the morning and so much as finds a crumb, she will take a picture of it, send it to you, and then text you a paragraph about how you're a terrible worker and you left the store filthy, or whatever the issue is, and you can guarantee your hours will be cut. And most of the stuff she freaks out about is stuff that she does all the time. She does very little prep, and the prep she does do is easy stuff that's already pre bagged, she almost never preps anything that requires actually cutting. She will fill everything up front full right before she leaves, leaving the refidgerature practically empty, but then refuses to restock the fridge claiming it's not her job. She rarely does dishes, she will fill the sink comepletely full and then go smoke and claim that since it's after 11am she will not do any dishes. But if anyone else was to do the very same thing she freaks out and acts as if you are the worst employee she's ever had.
She also likes to cause drama. If she has an issue with something you did wrong, or if she just doesn't like you, she will text other employees saying that you blamed her for leaving dirty dishes, or unfinished prep, etc, hoping to cause an argument. And she will go back and forth from one person to another telling one person one story and another person another just trying to turn people against each other. It's immature and very unprofessional for a manager like her to do things like this. But she is allowed to do so.
She's also known to scream at employees in front of customers, and has even raised her voice at several customers as well. In one instance, the assistant manager was arriving customers while she cleaned. When she checked out the last customer, before she even had time to move onto cleaning something else, the manager yelled at her, saying "Are you going to do anything at all today or am I going to have to do it all" while standing in a lobby full of customers. She then continued to scream at the assistant, upsetting several of the customers. The owner was made aware of this at all but no actions were ever taken.
Shes a very petty person and the way she treats her employees makes it a miserable and hostile work environment. That particular store has a very high turnover rate, and if you ask anyone who has quit there they will tell you that the manager is 100% the reason they left. I have talked to the owner about these issues and nothing was every done. I know of multiple other people who have also contacted the owner explaining these issues and still nothing has been done. There is no reason for this manager to be allowed to act this way in front of customers and treat employees in such a disgusting manner.
And on a side note, there is a laundry mat attached to this subway store, and the subway employees are forced to clean it while receiving no additional pay. If the laundry mat is not cleaned to the owners satisfaction we are reprimanded and can even have our hours cut at subway. We are employed by subway, to work at the subway store, but are forced to also work at a totally separate business with no compensation... I'm pretty sure this is very illegal.

Subway left outside

i arrived at the location at 10:30 pm on 8/17/17 the store closes at 11:00 every day. I knocked on the door and the teo people woring at the time yelled it was closed i pointed at the hours of operation which are posted on the door and they simply ignored me. I stood at the door for 20 minutes and they just ignored me . I find this really unpleasant.

Subway the voucher that bought but cannot use in specific store

I bought a voucher that is worth aed 99.00 so I can get a buy one get one free subway sandwich.. we visited the newly opened store in al wahda mall subway # 68345-0 and were very excited to use one of the voucher with my friend but when I present the voucher as it is written there present before ordering, the staff did not accept the voucher, saying its different owner and its different franchaise... I am very shy to my friend as I invited her to try the subway sandwich... its really shamed that this voucher that we paid for is going to be in trash.. I will never visit again any subway again

Subway product and service.

Hazel Grove stockport.
Why do you employ rude I'll mannered people.
Over broke no bread only a few state I must say at that.
I asked for 6in which to my understanding is half.
The assistant cut and inch off i asked why he had done that.
He told me it wasn't 6 inch and that they do 3 different sizes. Wow ok
4.6 and full.
At the counter we understand rapped my sandwich and my friends and show the guy on the till this.
The guy who served me came over and in abrupt manner said I have told you once .
Well I was speechless.
I stated that I was not happy regarding this.
There was one clean table that didn't need wiping. Dirty tables.
Now also has we call in he regularly I have noticed that the need to go back to basics in hygiene issues.
Thank goodness we had been service.
I young girl when is the restroom to check wipe the sink and clean the toilet.
Then when straight back to service customers with out washing her hands.
We wanted to film this but thought we might get in trouble.
Please tell you staff how important it is regarding washing hands. Before some get seriously ill.
Learn you staff to be helpful and and smile there faces are like wet lemons.

Subway product and service

Stopped at Subway in Manchester, IA. Took 3 minutes to even be acknowledged there were 3 people there one was at the register doing nothing one refilling the veggies and the other filling an order off a reciept. None of them acknowledged me. Then when I asked for a kids meatball sub I was told I could not get one. This is the only Subway that has said I couldn't do it anywhere else just charges me .50-.75 more for the meatball they put on it so I had to purchase a 6 in for a child that I will be lucky if she eats HALF OF IT! I also got a 6 in roast beef sandwich and the roastbeef if I peeled off all the FAT would make one full slice of the 3 thay put on. I spent 30+ on THIS trip to subway and unless something is done will be MY LAST trip to ANY subway and I stop 2-3 times a week. I have never had such crappy sandwiches or service.

Subway being fired for no reason

Yes I worked at the subway in Romulus mi address 7630 merriman road and I was just let go today for no reason being told I was saying things and I never said anything stuff that was told to me that I was saying was be in told from another person working there and it's not fair I'm being put in the middle of something I never said.. On top of others things since I'm making a complaint the employees don't work they sit and eat from the time they start there shift till the time the leave as well as sitting on the prep table they leave the store a mess dont fill anything and talk about others who work there and I'm sorry it's absurd in my eyes the store is not ran right they let there employees do what they want to. And I will be taking more actions to get to the ens of this of me being fired for no reason.

I don't appreciate that I'm an well was an employee an got told to Lea e my work because someone brought me in to that drama an bs when I h to deal with other employees being rude and talking behind my back and I let it all go because its my work place but since I'm writing this I will say some employees don't do there job all they do is sit and eat and sit on the prep table an text and don't do there job it's kinda sad to hire others and still keep them and I will be taking this to the fullest because what just happend to me was wrong.

Subway service very bad service

Hello, I want to logdeg a complaint against your chain which is located in Karachi, sindh, Pakistan. The disco bakery branch.
First of all my order was 2 hours late and when I called up the franchise they didn't addressed the problem correctly and to top that also cancelled my call and refused to pick up again. Then when I talked to the deliver guy he said " we are human we get late". This is not an answer you people should give to your customers. Worst management ever faced in my life won't be having food from subway again.

Subway employee not fixing the food properly

My Husband and I visited the Subway 5300 duke st Durham NC. There were two young ladies working and it was near closing. The one that served us did not fix our food right and literally put a pinch of everything in the salad we ordered then proceeded to charge us almost seven dollars. I refused to pay that but my husband is diabetic and needed to eat so he got his. I will not be going back there again.

Subway employee getting fired for needing off for her grandfather's funeral because it was out of state!

My daughter was an employee at the Subway in Marlin, Tx she asked off to go to her grandfathers funeral which was in Tennessee her supervisor told her that she did not have the coverage and that if she took off when she returned from the funeral to bring her stuff in and that she would have to fire her when I called and asked for HR which is also the supervisor she told me grandparents were not considered immediate family ! She told my daughter that she had already just a few months ago worked it to where she could take off for her other grandfather's funeral which has been Very hard on my daughter because she was very very close to him! The supervisor told me at the end of our conversation that she would not fire her but would write her up I told her that my daughter had already been through enough Just to get off to go to the funeral that she was not returning from the funeral to get a write up! When my daughter went in to turn her things in the supervisor had the nerve to tell her she had to work for her that Sunday! I have been in management before and know that is something you do it's part of being in management you step up when there's no coverage! My daughter has worked there for several months almost a year and never has called in sick, she would always go in when called in! This same supervisor fired my daughter about three or four months ago because she needed off to sing and do the music for a pastor's family prayer night which my daughter found someone to cover for her and the supervisor still wrote her up then fired her! Then about a month ago called her back to come to work there that should say something about my daughter and what kind of a good employee she is! Something needs to be done the turnover for employees has been really high just in the time my daughter has been an employee there, the supervisor writes the employees up for every little thing they do! Also with losing both grandparents in the past few months when my daughter ask off the supervisor never once said I'm sorry to hear about your loss and had no remorse at all was just worried about having coverage and not worried about her employee and her great loss ! Please something needs to be done the employees do not deserve the way they are being treated! A bad supervisor makes a bad employee which makes service bad for subway and gives them a bad name! Please do something to change this! Thank you! My daughter also told me that this same supervisor has the employees change the date on the labels of the food to make them last longer! Please do something!

Subway it's always nice to have hair in your food. not!

I brought my son into the subway in Long beach, Ms. The first thing he points out is no one is wearing hair nets. He said, i dont want hair in my food. I told him it'll be alright. Well was i wrong. We got home and started eating are food and i was enjoying it. Until i go to pick up an olive and noticed it wasn't alone. It was hair tagging along. I couldn't help but to lose my appetite. I've changed my mind to hair nets at subway. Cause obviously there needed.

Subway customer service

The Gaffney SC at 918 Hyatt St. has the worst Customer Servixe of any Subway I have ever encountered. The Manager 'Dale' was rude from the beginning of the experience and did not even greet, say hello, etc. He just barked - what'd you get, chips, sandwich - when he came to the window to get my money. There is much more of the horrible experience, but the gist is that his rudeness cost Subway the loss of business and money and I'm quite sure it's not the first. You can contact t me for details of all of his actions and I will be happy to inform you. I would hope you would care enough about your company to fix this error and terrible Customer Service Agent that you employ, for your own benefit .

Subway employee was rude

Hi there!
About two weeks ago my husband and I visited Subway 65 Inf.(next to Burlington) at Rio Piedras, P.R. I was directing myself to the bathroom when one of the employees tells my husband that if you are not buying you can"t use the bathroom in front of other customers which were waiting in the line! My husband answered nicely "don"t worry that we are going to buy". For our surprise it was the same employee that prepared our sandwich! I asked myself would this guy treated someone of his family as the way he treated my husband? Also there is no sign in the store indicating the policy that the employee said to my husband! It is sad that some employees treat their customers this way knowing that this is a great possibility of the store losing customers.

Subway no variety of options & rude management

Manager is very rude to employees and use harsh language on the job in the front lobby. Ive been there on plenty of occasions when she insisted on arguing wih employees and I confronted her about its not professional in the workplace for customers to hear the carrying on. There is limited options of subs and other items to get for instance sauces (sirarcha) and seafood, buffalo chicken like other subways. When asked if they will be avaliable, her words was i have personal pizza in replace of seafood and its to much for me to count in inventory. I normally take the drive to a different subway location for a more professional setting and better options to choose from.

Subway refused service

Around 2am on August 6th I came through subway on my way home from a little get together. I have enjoyed food from this subway over the 11 years it's been there. I also have been employed at this very subway. Unfortunately at 2am i was unable to be served a sandwich. The worker said that it was a full inventory count and takes 15-20mins before she could make me one. Refusing my service I stood there and said again I'd like a sandwich. She laughed and told me it was going to be awhile because of the down. I may be wrong and things may of changed but I know there is an inventory count done right at 2 and the computer needs to start a new day. Aside that I was willing to stand and wait as I knew this and she still refuses my service. I than proceeded to the connecting gas station and bought chips soda and a sandwhich and sat and ate it in my car for the next 20 mins your subway worker continued to stand there and pretend to be going through receipts. I have no issues with this subway. There is no grudge or any of that. Just a very long time customer that will not be going back there.

Subway bugs and dirty

Have seen roaches crawl out of the bread oven. Most of the employees are not presentable. The manager is very rude to customers that come in and she doesn't like. She only hires the people she knows. The service sucks and the store is nasty. They talk disrespectful to elders. Just not happy with the store or how it's run. The main issue I have is the bugs and outdated food they serve.

Subway cookies orders...

We have (3) Subway Resteraunts in Mt Vernon, Illinois & I am currently in a Nursing Home healin a broken Hip!i order 3 foot long Subs & they R My meals every evening, , I have ordered 6 cookies 🍪 with My Subs, 1 of 3 has sent Me 6, the others only 3! I'm Diabetic & Cookies help Me keep My Sugars even!
Wondering why so hard 2 fill My order correctly? Not griping just wondering...

Subway service

The sign on the door says open 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sunday. I went at 8:49 PM on Sunday 31 July. The door was locked, the lights were down low and the girl behind the counter would not even look up when I knocked on the door. I have photographs. The service here is sporadic. Some of the employees do a great job, others clearly don't want to be there and should find another job. If this is a management problem then management needs to be changed

Subway bread quality, veggies, sauce n customer service

We are traveling from Texas and after visiting newyork city we drove to niagara n enroute we picked the subway located in clarks summit pa for breakfast. The experience was terrible
And so far I have never experienced such bad quality subway food anywhere for the past 10 years . There were two people working without a smile and that can be ignored as long as the food is good. The bread smelled stale n old n dry. The veggies weren't fresh n the ma had a stingy arm in keeping veggies. He literally picked a string of onion, a tomato slice n same with other veggies. They ran out of sauces n above all the paper n wrap smelled terribly bad. I had to trash my food finally.

Subway the front workers

I have been in the subway on maynardville hwy in maynardville, tn and every time the people are rude nasty and tonight I was told they didn't have any bread what kind of place is that I'm requesting something to be done everyone hates this subway they have horrible workers and manners please contact me at [protected] it's awful that I couldn't eat because they didn't do there job it's not a great place and it use to be they have lost business over there rude and non caring employees

Subway coupons

After entering subway. Told employees about email coupons. Was informed coupons can't be used. None of the coupons are registered at the stores. All email coupons I can't use in any of the local restaurants. My question is Why coupons thru emails are not available for use? Is there an area near me where I can use the email coupons? I eat subway everyday and would appreciate any discount available.
