heating pad
Hello:
I don't know if you would really call this a complaint. I had a walgreens by Sunbeam heating pad. I loved it but something happened to it and I was wondering if I could be sent some type of a coupon to be able to obtain another one. I was going to plug it in and the plug in that was attached to the heating pad just fell right off. I received a shock and my hand tingled for awhile. I have had it for at least a year and it was working wonderfully. I would like to obtain another one. Is their any way you can send me some type of coupon that I can get a percentage off on this particular heating pad. I really liked it and I was very disappointed. Thank you so much! I did not send a photo but I do have the heating pad if it needs to be sent back to you guys.
Thank you!

scam alert
Sunbeam heating pad P.N. 112237-E, this heating pad gave me blisters on my right shoulder while using while sleeping. It was set on two hour shut off and medium setting, which it did but three large blisters appeared and the pain of the blisters woke me up. This product should not be sold. This heating pad is less than a year old and has only been used a handful on times. I recommend that any consumer who has purchased the product to return it and contact Sunbeam to remove this product from the shelves. And of course this product was made in China.

Thanks bobtheman, you took the words right out of my mouth. I have this heating pad and love it. USE PROPERLY and don't block up forums advertising your own stupidity.
It says right on the packaging don't use while sleeping.
blinking controls, not heating
I purchased this twin size Sunbeam electric blanket because the heat
helps the pain of my fibromyalgia, a muscular pain syndrome. After
just a few nights, it stopped heating, and the controls just continued
to blink. Couldn't turn it on or off. I unplugged it at the outlet and
at the bottom of the blanket; plugged it in again, and the same thing:
blinking and no heat. Will I get re-embersed? It was a gift, so I don't
know what it cost. But I need the heat! And I can't afford to get one for
myself.

heating element
We bought a mrcoffee FTseries for about 50.00 55.00 2 years ago. One day it would not work. The heating element went out. We bought another one after that because we liked all the features on this coffee maker. One year later the same thing happened again. We will never buy a mrcoffee again. Nor will we buy another product made by sunbeam.

My husband & I recieved a digital Mr. Coffee maker this past Christmas, & it lasted us this year Octobr the 4th. I called the eight hundred number the representive could not find the model number on the bottom of my coffee maker that I gave her! How ridiculous is this! We even used the clean mode still not working! How sad to be stuck with a $50.00 coffee maker that can not be replaced! Will never purchase a mr coffee maker again nor will my family!
I purchased a MrCOffee progamable model FT on Aug. 20 2009 used it for 3 weeks and now all the water just runs out the bottom! And the closest repair shop is 2 hours away don't think so. Didn't save box or reciept so pretty much screwed. I have been a Bun coffee maker person my whole life but thought no I will give this machine a chance it was on sale for 50.00 it wasn't worth .50 cents. I will spend the cash for Bun this next time.

Bought a Sunbeam water cooler Sept 08, by Jan 09 it had quit cooling. Called tech support ( ha) several times, got instructions to reset thermostat. Nothing worked, unit is TOAST. Now Sunbeam wants to refund me HALF of the purchase price (note unit is less than 6 months old) and they want me to CUT THE POWER CORD AND SEND THEM A PIECE OF IT! Is that the stupidest thing you've ever heard of? Never heard that one before. Telling everyone I know don't buy Sunbeam. They dont' stand behind their products AT ALL!
electric range
I ORDERED A SUNBEAM ELECTRIC SMOOTH SURFACE RANGE FROM AJ MADDISON A YEAR AGO...I PAID THROUGH THE NOSE FOR IT TOO. IT CAME AND WAS SET UP AND I WAS THRILLED...THEN I COOKED ON IT AND IT'S BEEN A DISASTER EVER SINCE. THE OVEN BURNS OR UNDERCOOKS EVERYTHING AND EVEN THE LOWEST SETTING ON THE BURNERS BOIL. YOU CANNOT SIMMER AT ALL. NEEDLESS TO SAY I CONTACTED THE COMPANY THROUGH PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS. THEY GAVE ME THE NUMBER OF THE LOCAL REPAIR THEY USE. I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THEY NO LONGER DID REPAIRS FOR AJ MADDISON...SO I CALLED AND EMAILED MORE TO NO AVAIL. FINALLY I CALLED A LOCAL REPAIR SERVICE HERE AND PAID FOR A SERVICE CALL. ONLY TO BE TOLD THEY COULD NOT GET PARTS FOR THIS 1 YR. OLD STOVE...I NEED NEW THERMOSTATS FOR THE OVEN AS WELL AS THE STOVE TOP. HE SAID I MAY BE ABLE TO GET THEM THROUGH SUNBEAM DIRECTLY BUT THAT THE OVEN ONE IS APPROX. $300.00 AND HE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE COOKTOP PRICE...PLUS SHIPPING, PLUS SERVICE CALL, PLUS LABOR...I AM BEYOND FURIOUS...IT WILL BE CHEAPER TO GET A NEW STOVE. WHY DO THESE COMPANIES CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS? DO I HAVE ANY RECOURSE HERE? HELP PLEASE

control light blinks
I have a Sunbeam that I bought back in 2008 used it one season packed it away and didn't use again until this winter. Worked for a couple of weeks and now have blinking light on one side of blanket. The other side varies in its temperature control will be burning hot and then not barely even warm all the while on the same setting. The side that blinks wont turn off by control has to be unplugged to get it to actually turn off. This is a king size electric blanket and paid well over $80 for it. I don't have huge expectations for products in this day and age but more than one season for that price is an absolute must. As with many of you I also cannot find my warranty info, but I am going searching here on the internet and if I can find anything I will be sure to pass it on!
Hey all this is what I have found hope that it is useful to you. Check out this web site it is a manual and warranty info on the sunbeam electric blankets, throws and mattress pads. Please let me know if any of you get anything resolved! http://www.sunbeam.com/manuals/SunbeamBedding/BeddingMan06-English.pdf

Come on everyone! Yes, we expect products to last longer, but a class action lawsuit over this? This is without question, near the top of the list in terms of 1st World Problems.
I bought a Sunbeam Renue Neck and Shoulders Heating Pad. I plugged it in, turned it on, and it did not work. I then unplugged it, waited a few minutes, and plugged it back in. This time I set it on low. It did work...for about two minutes. Then it started blinking. I am taking it back.
someone asked why they keep making things which do not work. Money! They make products in other countries hoping one or two of them will work. The rest of them will not work. It is cheaper for them to have them made there and try to sell them here. It is not about quality any more. It is all about quantity. Sunbeam used to be a good product. Too bad for them. If they ever do what they should not have done, move the manufacturing back to America, maybe they will get a superior line of products again.
Sunbeam blankets use a resistive wire that goes bad in about 6 to 12 months. Company should be brought to a action suit. THey just dont last more than 12 months and they dont honor the warranties.
Hey Guys.
When things like this happen to me (blicking F etc), I get out the qtips and rubbing alcohol and generously swab the contact points. Works on all kinds of things and worked here.
I think the contact points get corroded and need cleaning.
I have a Serta throw. Blinking light. I put it on 5 and it jumps to 3 and starts blinking. No heat.
I moved to another outlet in the kitchen that has a breaker. It works there. I guess I will use it to make bread.
Received a Sunbeam Electric Blanket for a xmas gift. Double control. now blinking constantly. Says 5 year wantary. Can I return it to where it was bought? dianedonovan16@gmail.com
Ours too! Is there any solution?
Yep just bought one of these electric blankets from sunbeam 3 days after Christmas. Seems it’s infected with the dreaded blinking light/ no heat havin’ Bulls*%t. It’s 2019 and there are complaints from people over 10 years ago. WTF Sunbeam?! You’re in the business of ripping folks off?
I have purchased 2 Sunbeam blankets in the past month. One of the blankets worked 4 weeks and the lights started flashing, the next blanket only made it 3 days before it started blinking. I also threw away a Sunbeam blanket that was purchased last year because it had the same problem. NO MORE SUNBEAM PRODUCTS FOR ME!
I had the same problem, so I checked the plug where it attaches to the mattress pad. It was very slightly askew. Plugged it in properly and it worked fine. A simple and cheap solution!
Yep, same issue. product is a ripoff
Very easy fix. Be sure that you plug it into the blanket before you plug controller into the wall outlet. I was about to throw out my electric blanket and then I read the instructions attached to the cord that said to do it in this order and it works!
these new electric blankets are a rip off!
I've purchased 3 electric "warming" blankets since January or February of this year. I have listed them above. Honestly, none of them worked over six weeks (if that long). Once I got them up to a good, high heat...they freaked out & basically just quit.
I assume that the companies are so afraid of being sued these days that they won't make the good, old-fashioned kinds that our family used when I was a young girl. (I'm 59 now). Practically everyone I knew used electric blankets & I NEVER heard of an injury, fire, electrical shock, etc. back in the '60's & 70's.
I've Googled this & have read precisely the same complaints about exactly the same 3 products from a magnitude of other people. I mean it has literally become a joke among consumers, as well as in my family about Moma and her ongoing, yet futile quest for that ONE illusive electric blanket that would truly warm her throughout at least one winter season! I KNOW they do not exist...UNLESS...My husband has ordered me what is called the "Classic Electric Blanket" from the Vermont Country Store. One of the people recommended this in my Google search. So I read about it and I am hoping it's one that gets hot & stays hot...and that the company that manufactures it is not afraid to provide real heat to real people who are freezing to death at night! My crippled arms and shoulders won't allow me to lift a bunch of covers. I need that one light blanket which will be twice as hot as most people could stand.
WARNING! WARNING! Do NOT buy the three products listed: Electric blankets by : Sunbeam, Westpointe, and J.
C. Penny's Top-of-the-Line model. The second one cost $146. All cost well over $80 for only a double bed model.
None of minded work over 3-4 weeks.,,and the many people I googled reported exactly the same results. If the "Classic Electric" from Vermont Company Store ends up working, I WILL report back. If it doesn't, I' SURELY report back. Thanks for allowing me to "vent".

I have bought 8 or 10 electric blankets over the years, mostly Sunbeam because that is usually what you can find. They work for 1-3 years and quit. JUNK. I've moved to comforters, PJs, and a heating pad for my feet. Also, you can pre-heat the bed up with a hair dryer. Much cheaper and nearly as good.
westpoint truly does not care about the paying customer!i paid over 140 for my queen size blanket first year controller went on one side year after the other side went bad sent it in to the company only to hear nothing in return i contacted them she put me off and put me off I'm still without the controller a year later they could give a ratts ###! buyer beware! they are junk dont wast your money
I been looking for a new electric blanket . But all I can find is the one they call electric blanket. I miss the one with the silk edge and the wonderful fabic they use before. Please bring them back
Buy a new one, if you dare, and send the old one back in the shipping container of the new one. Don't worry about the old receipt; send your new receipt.
Mine is now a year old, and it's been blinking with the E.
I bought a Sunbeam heating blanket and you had to turn it to the highest setting and even then it didn't put out much heat if at all. The start of the second season, it didn't work at all. I called Sunbeam and they said to return it but I told them I didn't want to pay the postage back. So they sent a prepaid label for UPS but it took over several weeks to get it. I got another one and now this one seems too hot even at the lowest setting. I'm going to put the heating blanket on the outside of my comforter tonight and see if that doesn't
help. I really don't think I'm going to get two seasons out of this. Won't buy another for sure.
Another sucker to add to the list. Only one side works. We had this 1 season. We has the Westpoint model

I do not have A DOLLAR TO MY NAME. The few items I have bought recently included the Sunbeam blanket because I couldn't sleep I was so cold and no sleep = no work. I'm SO POOR I USE THE BOX AS A DESK. I'm so poor I split Ramen Noodle cups in half just to get by. AND AFTER 2 MONTHS, NO WASHES AND USE AS INSTRUCTED, IT STOPS WORKING. I got it from Coscto, a place I trusted and loved. THIS IS NOT RIGHT. There are people like me who have to ration toilet paper and really value the things they buy. This is absolutely disgusting. Some people don't realize how their actions can really f*ck someone else's whole world. And that goes beyond the blanket issue too people, do the right thing, take the high road.
I will never purchase a sunbeam electric blanket again. I have purchased so many blankets and they don't even last the entire winter. When you call sunbeam to complain about the blanket not working, they want you to pay your own money to mail it in so that they can check (test) it. Why would I waste any more money on these crapooo blankets. I bought my parents a electric blanket 3 years ago that was not a sunbeam, and it still works as well as it did the first day.
I have to concurr with all of the complainants, up to the originator. I bought a WestPoint Home blanket about a week ago and it now blinks E 4. It gives a perfectly fine military pay grade a bad name.
We used to have a waterbed, and replaced it after the novelty wore off. We might go back to them, if we can determine if they can keep their heater element working. It was NEVER cold unless the power had been off for several hours.
To any Sunbeam Exec,
First, I do not expect a reply or a resolve. I have/had an electric blanket PAC363D/K85KQP for several years. Only used a couple of times because I live in Houston TX. The blanket quit. Thought about replacing it but found that the China made blankets fail, a lot. It seems the global market for cheap labor and sub quality parts is not working for you. Please consider a re-design, maybe user replaceable parts. If Sunbeam improves the reliability, then drop me a line. The previous blanket, I had, simply was worn to the point that it needed to be replaced, after 20 years. Please bring back quality products that Sunbeam was once known for. Otherwise, at this time a sincere goodbye.
multiple product failures!
Below is a history of my complaints with Sunbeam: Dear Laura L.: Thank you for your response. As was stated in my first email message to you, the voltage and electricity system here in Taiwan is the same as the USA and Canada. There is no need for a converter. In the event, I have decided what I will do. I will return the defective product to the place...
