I had my truck in for cruise control and took two times for the same issue. The dealer was the issue. Not a Sun Path issue, however there is a $100 deductible and I had to pay that twice so not saving money. Plus I pay a monthly fee to have Sun Path.

My car need fixing 3 time so far this year 2020 and this company is great they took care of everything, every time my car was at the dealer and need fixing & all I paid was my deduction. Great Extra car care warranty company I will recommend to anybody!
My experience with a *** warranty repair claim was quite bad. The dealership submitted information regarding the required repair using the phone number provided on my policy card. The service rep received no reply from the claims adjuster, so I tried calling and was told he had called back. But he called into the dealership's general phone number not the service rep managing the repair/claim. We went around in circles for nearly a week before the repair claim was approved. Once the repair was completed, it was more of the same from SunPath to get them to pay their portion of the repair cost. At least this experience taught me how to intervene to force the needed communication between SunPath and the repair site."
Had this warrant for about 3month...then my car start to make a clicking sound took it to the nissa dealer found out my axel was the problem call the company and without any problems they paid it and I was also able to use a rental car for the week under the warranty company as well I paid my 100 deductible and the paid the rest without any problems
After a high-pressured salesman talked my elderly mother into buying a policy, the third-party affiliate, ***, has made the cancelation process exceedingly difficult. I am dismayed that they would prey on the elderly. SunPath needs to screen their affiliates better.
I was very please with the service they provided on my truck. Would recommend Sunpath auto insurance to all my friends and family.

We don't live anywhere near this business, and I'm pretty sure that it's a scam and the only reason it worked for us was because we were expecting a call from our actual warranty office. But what had happened was we called the number back (thinking we had missed the call from our office) and they didn't state their office name just that we were already members with them and as such we had an overdue payment. My partner, who was the one they called and was stressed and struggling, gave them his card information. After calling again having discovered this wasn't the warranty office and wanted a refund, they then said the refunded him. Which would have been the end of the story had they not then charged him again - after issuing the refund. So now we've got to figure out how to get the charges reversed again.
Had no problems getting my car fixed, the dealership called for the information needed and it was taken care of easy as 123. Thank you.
You met the contract. It took a little time to approve the repairs. I am satisfied with the service.
Filed a claim last week on wheel bearings that had gone bad on my 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The bearings are a covered repair. The repair facility had a little trouble getting through at first. Once on the phone with the right person, I was surprised to hear that they were giving the repair facility a hard time about the cost of the parts needed for the repair. They even went so far as to say that they would cover up to a certain dollar amount and that they should ask me if I wanted to cover the difference. That's outrageous! To their credit, both the repair facility and the warranty provider stayed on the phone shopping for lower-priced parts until they found them, and the repair was approved minus my deductible. I wonder if this type of scenario will repeat itself with any future covered repairs. The repair facility did an excellent job and with my new wheel bearings, my vehicle is again rolling smoothly with reduced interior noise.

Thus far the service has been good. The only complaint I have so far is that they take too long to approve and clear for the work to get done. My repairs could have been done from one day to another and instead they had to keep my vehicle for 3 days and still had to pay a little more than the $100 deductible. Luckily, I was quarantined and had a backup vehicle in case of an emergency. In addition, I continue to get those annoying calls to sell me the warranty when I already purchased it and paid it in full over a year ago. Their turn around to pay mechanics need to be better to get our vehicles done in a timely fashion. It took my mechanic to call a few times to get paid to start on my car after sitting in the lot for 2 days.
This is a hoax. I cancelled this a few weeks ago because it's so shady and now I got a bill. I spoke to ***/LifeLoc/My credit card to see if they can help me. Now it is 9/3 and I cancelled in July. I have been told the last thing I can do now is call the police. I still have a message into someone to speak to about cancelling...unreal.
It took a whole day to get the okay to start the repair, so I had to bring the car back in t get the work done a second day. That is inconvenient.

They paid for my transmission and a fuel pump ! Any repairs itemized on the paper work they send you it will not be covered! But that is only fair I have a 2011 *** , 128,000 miles. Injectors and modules were not covered I feel very fortunate that I had this coverage.
Terrible excuse for a Warranty Company !
Terrible excuse for a Warranty Company ! Wanted to put a used Transmission in my New Van ! The other repair took a Month because they would not approve the Repair. Then i had to pay 500.00 not a 100.00 the transmission costs me 900.00 out of pocket ! So they *** DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE PEOPLE !

I called the Sunpath warranty representative and explained my check engine light came on . the associate told me take my vehicle to the shop of my choice . I needed sensors. Sunpath replaced them all . A cost of $ 700.00 .I only had to pay a $100.00 deductible . The service writer at this dealership said to me " sir you have a good warranty company " he further said Sunpath was easy to deal with in comparison to other warranty companies he has to deal with on a daily basis.

This is a terrible business
This is a terrible business. Well, to justify the one star: when I signed up for this business, I had low expectations, but they did deliver a professional-looking customer packet with phone numbers that worked, so in that respect, I suppose they have something to recommend them. But I am still unimpressed by this service. I have called customer service a few times, and I got the same guy, Dan, each time. His cavalier way of discussing my account with me does NOT leave me thinking that my money is safe with this company. Each time, and again today, DAN has told me to "call back when you can discuss this calmly" when I asked to cancel the service. I have now canceled the autopayment with my credit card instead. I'll update if this isn't the end of this saga.

I bought mine for a 7 year old *** and Got it for about 80% of his first quoted price by paying for it all at once, instead of opting for a payment plan. We just had our first repair and was surprised about having to pay a deductible. But of a major repair I only had to pay a couple of $100 and they payed the rest (Over $2500) and the shop did all of the phone exchange with them and they accepted the sound of the engine to allow work to begin immediately. The shop owner said they were one of the better ones to deal with. He said many of the others have to send a rep over and evaluate the repair before they would pay anything, and that usually took several days. So all in all, I'm glad I bought it and it wasn't too expensive. But I still get blasted by many other company's offering theses warranties. I think I'm up to about 250 Blocked numbers on my ***. And keep getting them. Do Not call list too...

Extended warranty
2017 Lexus. 70K miles. Heard a rubbing type sound from the rear of the car. Took it to a local shop to get it checked out. Upon inspection (by professionals), it turned out to be a wheel bearing issue. Roughly a $1500 repair due to 6.5 hrs labor. CLAIM DENIED because I DROVE the car to the tire shop. No dash indicators, no smoke, no smells, absolutely zero indication of major damage. I though I might have a piece of trim rubbing on a tire or possibly an exhaust issue, only could hear the noise while driving. Never dreamed it was something I'd need to use this police for. Again, DENIED coverage because I drove a perfectly operational vehicle, with no indication of major damage, to a repair shop to check out a rubbing noise.
$3600 policy sold to a 70 year old Vietnam Veteran with stage 4 cancer over the phone. Claim DENIED for driving the vehicle to a tire shop.
Guessing this company makes a lot of money this way.
Claimed loss: $1500
Desired outcome: Just honor your contract and pay what you owe. Just like I did when I bought the policy.

I purchased an extended warranty for my *** and was told it covered everything but maintenance like brake shoes etc. after making monthly payments of $212 for 7 months I took my vehicle to the dealer for a check engine light. It needed a new wiring harness costing $500. Wiring is covered under the terms of warranty contract. Sun path laughed and said wiring was not covered. They are just another unscrupulous business scamming the public by using third party contractors to make sales calls. I canceled my contract and put a stop payment on future bank draws. They flat out lied and hope all payments have been made before buyers try and make a claim. I want a refund for all payments I made to these scammers.

I receive at least 2 calls a day from this company wanting to sell me a extended warranty, I am on the do not call list, and I do NOT want to received these calls, nor did I consent to them.
Regarding confirmation number [redacted], on February 11, my bank account was charged $195 for an auto policy. I spoke with a representative and was told at that time that if I canceled before March 21, the full amount would be refunded. I called back the same day to cancel and was informed that the transaction would take 7 to 10 business days. I have not received the credit, and have filed a dispute with my bank.
Sincerely
I signed up for an extended warranty and was told I had a 30 day money back cancellation time frame. I canceled in that time frame. I got hung up on by the salesman, ***. I called back and asked for a confirmation number on the refund and was told there wasn't one. After being rudely talked down to, I finally received a cancellation number for the policy which I received in an email I can forward to you. The cancellation number is

This company appears to be selling you auto warranties, and informing their customers that they "are on a recorded line and that I must pay or I will be delinquent and have my car taken away for non-payment if I hang up without paying" when in fact, you do not actually have a contract with them and they are attempting to scam you into an extended warranty. I already have an extended warranty through the dealership and when I spoke with 2 different individuals on the phone, they would not allow me to hang up the phone and call back after speaking to my husband before paying. I currently am in the process of disputing the transaction they made me take after threatening me to take my car, but I have to wait for it to post to my account before doing

I wish to cancel my auto warranty contract through SunPath and suspend all future payments
I wish to cancel my auto warranty contract through SunPath and suspend all future payments. I am unable to access the account online and if I call SunPath directly they say in order to cancel I have to call the company that sold me the contract called "Vehicle Activation Department". But when I call "Vehicle Activation Department" they state that to cancel they will have the cancellation department call me back. But they never call back. I have been trying to do this for weeks now and I am still waiting on a call back from these people. The way I signed up for this contract initially is also suspicious as it came from a robocall number which may be illegal. If criminal activity is found, this should be pursued to the fullest extent of the law. I am very unhappy with this company and their shady business practices.

I purchased a car warranty on Aug. 27th and never received the actual warranty paperwork. I contacted the company on sept. 11th was told I would receive an email and mail warranty and still have never received anything.
Called and canceled feb. 14. Still billed for the warranty. Called 4 more times and was told they would take care of it over the following ten months. Called today and was told I need to mail a letter of cancellation. Because no one told me that in February or since and was repeatedly told they would take care of it. I want my money back

On 4/23 I was contacted about a warranty for my car they stated they had been trying to contact me multiple times about per their voicemail. I called them back and was very skeptical about their service(s). So, when trying to deny their service they insisted on trying to make it cheater or arrange this to better suit the cost, but I still wasn't sure. I agreed to $95 payment, gave my debit card info. Once getting off the phone, I looked them up on the ComplaintsBoard.com website and didn't like what I saw so I called back and spoke with ***(supervisor) for ***, who is who took my card info. I requested to void my transaction, but she insisted that if I take this info I received by e-mail from them, I could take to Toyota and they will verify it as good. I never received an e-mail or anything from them. I just want my $95 dollars back. They are scammers and everyone needs to know about them. Also, *** states she would call back. I was called 2/1 about a car warranty. I was told I had 30 days to decide & if I cancelled I would get my money back. I paid $199.00. I tried to email & their email on the website is invalid. I called the # I was given & did not get an answer. I spoke to someone the next day & was told it would be up to 10 business days to receive a confirmation # of cancellation. After 10 days I called & was told it would be $200 to cancel because they had lowered the bill for me when I explicitly stated I wished to cancel. I was told they needed some sort of payment for their system to let me cancel, even though it had only been a few days after the initial purchase. I have called multiple times & have tried 6 different numbers to speak to someone who could help me, asked for a manager & was told they weren't in that day. I had to get my debit card cancelled through my bank so I wouldn't get charged. Now I'm being harassed & threatened that they'll send me to collections if I don't pay them.

I received a voicemail stating that I was out of compliance with my vehicle coverage and had to return their call or my coverage would be cancelled. Unsure of what coverage they were referring to, I called back and got roped into a sales call about extended warranty coverage. The sales representative (***) walked through the high level details of the coverage and associated pricing structure. I asked if the details could be sent to me for review before I make a decision as to whether I'd like proceed or not. He said I had to pay $195, to protect their company from insurance fraud, before he could send over any details (which was suspect). I was told I had 30 days to review the warranty coverage and could cancel at any time within the 30 days and receive a full refund. After calling back just 10 days later they told me they couldn't refund me. I pushed back and asked to talk to the original sales rep and said they wouldn't connect me. I question the validity of this company.

In mid-February, I was solicited by this company for an extension on my car insurance, and was told how I would have 30 days to cancel if I no longer wished to use use the service. So I gave them my information, did some research, then two days later called them informing them I no longer wanted to the service and to cancel immediately. They told me I had to wait for a packet to come in the mail for more information. On 2/25 I was charged a $295 deposit, despite attempting to cancel. Two weeks go by, I never received this packet of information. I called again to cancel. On 3/14, I was auto-charged $179, for a service I had tried to cancel twice. I call back, telling them I need a full refund. And during this time they keep trying to convince me to stay with their insurance, and even offered me a much lower rate. This was frustrating, because I was clearly and repeatedly telling them I want to cancel. It was also frustrating to be given a quote nearly half of what they were charging me prior. I have called back multiple times, sometimes even in tears because I really needed the $474 I was owed and was no longer able to pay other bills as a result. I was told I would get a refund multiple times. It is several months later, and I still have not received a refund. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had. I feel robbed honestly.

I am the designated Power of Attorney
I am the designated Power of Attorney. I am filing this complaint on behalf of a senior citizen. It concerns a vehicle protection plan charge. This company, along with a similar one, has been billing the senior's account for services not required due to their age and lack of driving. The senior, who is not of sound mind, was misled into providing payment details for an unnecessary warranty. This is a clear case of deceptive practices and elder abuse, as the senior never agreed to these charges. The monthly charge is $188.39 without any authorized contract or payment agreement. It's evident that the senior's cognitive issues have been exploited for financial gain. I've also encountered issues contacting Sunpath Funding, which raises further concerns.

Sunpath LTD, withdrew $179.23 from my personal bank account for the months of March - August for a total of $1,075.38. This was for Extended Car Warranty which I did not sign up for or authorize for these charges to be deducted from my account. I never signed a contract and I was unaware of these charges because I was hospitalized from March - May and I was not receiving my bank statements. The 1st deduction was in March, and I don't know how they say that they spoke to me if I was in the hospital. I still had the manufacture warranty on my car, so why would I purchase another car warranty if I already had one? The bank gave me a reversal of two months for $358.46 because of the fraudulent charges on my account, but I would like the remainder of the money $716.92 to be refunded to me as soon as possible. I've had to cancel my checking account and change all my information because of these fraudulent charges from Sunpath LTD. I am elderly and on a fixed income and this situation has been very stressful for me. I called and spoke to ***, the Claims Department manager, in September, and when I explained the my situation to him he told me it was a "phone call deal". I have made several attempts to contact them after that and they refuse to allow me to speak to a manager and say they owe me nothing. This is elderly abuse and I have already filed a complaint with the National Elder Fraud Hotline and with the Office of the Attorney General.

On October 29, I received a phone solicitation from a company about my car, offering an extended warranty.
On October 29, I received a phone solicitation from a company, regarding my 2018 car, offering an extended warranty. The representative explained the value of an extended warranty. I mentioned the car had been in an accident and that I had bought it second-hand, had it repaired professionally, and then registered it in my name with a clear title. After making payments for 8 months, totaling $1356.48, I was informed by the warranty provider that they would not honor the agreement as the car was previously totaled. They suggested I request a refund since the policy was mistakenly issued. I sent a certified letter on 9/1, which was received on 9/8. Despite promises and waiting, no refund has been issued. Attempts to escalate the issue have been unsuccessful. The company's refusal to refund my money has caused me financial distress, especially at 73 years old and relying on Social Security.

I was contacted in the end of May about an automotive protection plan which i was informed I would have 10 business days to cancel, from my receipt of an information packet on it sent to my address. During my phone conversation with a *** customer service rep within that grace period in early June, i was assured by her that she put a mandate in their system not to charge the $144.00 that was set to be charged from my credit card later that month... Since then i have received two such charges for both June and July, and when i called *** back on July 21st it was confirmed to me that the mandate was put in the system but the service rep did not understand why *** still billed me. She told me i could not speak directly with the cancellation and refund department and that i needed to let her put a note in the system for someone to call me back... I never got that call back and i would like this contract cancelled as well as the two $144.00 payments plus the initial $100.00 down payment i made in May, refunded. This is a total of $388.00. *** is confusingly making it extremely hard to speak with them to rectify this issue that they themselves told me in early June would not occur. This complaint is one that I filed on 7/24 (#***), but was afterwards notified that the business it needed to be directed towards was *** and Sunpath LTD, the actual contract servicer... However *** I cannot find in a search, and both contact numbers given to me to reach them or Sunpath ALWAYS redirect me back to ***, who continued to tell me they themselves could actually help me.

Purchased an extended car warranty over the phone from a dubious seller
Purchased an extended car warranty over the phone on April 1st. The seller gave me a fake name and the email had a different name with a missing phone number. The contract had a 'specimen' watermark. At the time, the seller's location was an empty space and they lacked a website. Recently, I received id cards with forged details including my VIN, contract date, and vehicle class. The finance company was unnamed. My account showed a policy with another company. I was signed up for two warranties without my consent. One has been cancelled and a refund is due, while the other remains active and the seller is unreachable. I never received any documents from the second company. The seller charged $195 on my credit card for a fraudulent contract with Sunpath Ltd. I spoke with a Sunpath representative who confirmed they use third-party sellers and attempted to contact the seller without success. I legally recorded this call. Sunpath approved a contract despite clear signs of forgery, violating federal laws.

An operator contacted me about transferring my warranty on September 23.
An operator contacted me about transferring my warranty on September 23. He assured me everything was covered, including payments, and who would assist with canceling my active warranty with another company. I couldn't pay the deposit immediately but was granted a few days' grace. However, I wasn't informed about a cancellation fee. A representative was to discuss canceling my active warranty and refunding some money from the other company. The call occurred off-schedule, and we rescheduled, but I received no follow-up. Later, I noticed an unauthorized payment from my account. Upon contacting customer service, I was told the initial representative was sick, but I was promised a follow-up. Feeling my concerns were dismissed, I requested to cancel the warranty, only to learn of a hefty cancellation fee, which was never mentioned initially. The representative was dismissive and only provided information after I mentioned contacting the ComplaintsBoard.com. After a heated exchange, the initial representative surprisingly called back, despite being reported sick. He apologized and offered to cancel my other policy, but I insisted on canceling their service due to poor customer service. He excused the representative's behavior, citing personal issues, but I maintained my stance. He mentioned a reduced cancellation fee if I paid immediately, which I refused, having not been informed about it earlier. He proposed solutions to retain my business, but I was adamant about canceling. He admitted the fee was not clearly communicated and threatened to impact my credit report if I closed my account. The company claimed they couldn't stop automatic withdrawals, which was unacceptable. Despite promises to resolve the issue, I never heard back.

SCAM... STAY AWAY... REALLY REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE. NEVER BEEN TREATED AND SCAMMED LIKE THIS. HUGE EYE OPENER! IF I COULD LEAVE A -10 STAR RATING I WOULD
I called the Sunpath warranty representative and explained my check engine light came on . the associate told me take my vehicle to the shop of my choice .
They got my husband to pay for an extended warranty on our car I looked up their reviews and seen nothing good about this company, I called the next day canceled it and it has been 3 weeks They still have not refunded our money. Which I read in many of the reviews they drag you around and you can't ever talk to anyone that can do anything they are always busy on another line or just unavailable. "
I have been with SunPath awhile now, and when I need them they are always there for me and serve me when I need them, so glad I have them to depend on. Thanks for helping this time and everytime, I recommend them highly!
