Amazon credit card
From july1st to sept 2022 i paid 142.00 june 23 2022 i paid 151.72 i owe. Nothing to synchrony oct 15 2022 synchrony says i owe 125.00 dollars for amazon purchases amazon says i owe nothing this is the second time im going. Through this out of thin air a balance is showing up that i dont got i would love them to close my account but they wont no 24 hr service to resolve this im already turned into collections synchrony comeing up with i missed a payment in sept im be notified a month later this seems like computer scams to me i pay my bills and i have excellant credit

for a good part of the year, i have been harassed by calls from Sychrony about a bill from Roto-Rooter that i paid to them over a year ago. it cleared my bank on 9/9/2021 in the amount of 5,000 $. I talked with someone Sychrony several times and was told it was cleared up --------------but--------------------------the harassment continues, and the bills keep coming. The latest by registered mail. I do not owe this, It was paid in good faith. This is between you and Roto-Rooter, so work it out with them, I feel they overcharged me and piled charges on charges, but I just want this cleared up.
Desired outcome: Bill marked as paid in Aug 2021 which it was.
Taking more money out of my account than they should have.
On October 3, 2022, Synchrony was to take $100.00 out of my bank account to pay on my account. I have a profile that shows that they do it on the 3rd of each month. I filled out an autopay that was suppose to show when, how much, I was to pay. I have a copy of the confirmation. They took the full balance of $1,416.18 plus the $100.00 on the 4th. I called and explain that it was a mistake made and I got the rude service. I was told that I couldn't get my money until it posted. I then called my bank and I was informed that the money was already paid. I called back and the person said I couldn't get the money because I signed the autopay. Thinking I was doing the monthly payment. When explain again that I made a mistake and it should have been just for the $100.00 I was put on hold. She then said accounting said NO. I have been going through this since Oct. 4, 2022. I called again today and was told I have to wait for 10 to 15 days before I get the check. My concern is that the money was not mailed to them. The bank is doing overdraft and taking everything I have direct deposit and placing it on the overdraft. Synchrony Bank took $1,516.18 from my account and I want it put back into the account NOW!. I can't pay bills, rent, or get gas. If my money isnt put back immediately I will call my lawyer, tv station, and put you on the news. I am not one to mess with. No threats just plain facts. I am a woman who needs her money and no games. I expect a phone call soon and we can deal with this. My bank has even called Synchrony Bank. What will be done and how soon. Not 10-15 days from now. Yes, I did cancel the transaction. This has cause my blood pressure to go up and I am upset with this bank. I will not use this bank ever again.
AVOID Synchrony Bank at all cost. They have a LOUSY Reputation. I have had only Horrible experience with this Highly suspicious company.

You Closing All My Accounts
Without explanation or any contact all of my accounts were closed. I have never missed a payment and always paid way more than minimum payment. Honestly I'm thinking it's age discrimination or something because why would you choose a loyal good paying customers accounts. Just approved a Texaco Master Card not even a month prior to closing ALL my accounts so the only thing your representative told me was it was something on my credit bureau well that makes no sense as you'd just opened a new card less than 30 days prior. They did the same thing to me years ago when I opened a card that you can use for really anything, you vet, your home, whatever. I forgot what it is called, but it was for $6000.00, however, I never used it, because I was saving it for my braces. They didn't tell me that it had to me it had to be used in 30 days or they would stop it. I didn't touch it because I was saving for that. When they stopped it, they destroyed all of my other credit cards as well! The stupidest thing I have ever heard of! Just the night before, we made a payment at Lowe's, and we were never late on anything. They ruined us! Be careful who you put your life's savings and trust in!
Payments not received / amazon
Synchrony Bank has put a payments not received and always on time. Amazon knows of no unpaid balance. Cards are linked to personal credit card and statements show they are paid. Every one. This has been going on now for months. Any transaction I can prove. I have never authorized Synchrony Bank access to my personal checking but my statements from chase also include statements from Amazon credit cards. I need these charges removed from my credit and they will not do so. I have proof and need help before my credit is beyond repair. How can I get my credit restored? I have not bought anything since June when blindly charges were put against my credit. Amazon does not send you items until the charges are pd.
Desired outcome: I want charges removed from my credit. I can locate all my payments with the date and amount.
Rooms To Go Credit Card
I have had this card for 3 years with no bad history and all balances paid in full and my card was abruptly closed saying I no longer qualified! I more than qualified to get the card, was given multiple credit increases, increasing limit to $7500, paid all debts to creditor as agreed and then...BOOM a letter in the mail saying "we closed your acct after pulling your credit and seeing a score decrease! This is a disgusting practice and I'm seeing a trend with your bank and many other people whose credit scores you are destroying for no reason! None, of these people, myself included were bad debtors. We paid all balances as agreed on time, every month! I also did NOT extend permission to your company to pull my credit whenever you feel like it, which you did WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION. That is an illegal practice. This needs to be corrected and made right!

Synchrony forcing customers to accept electronic communications
Logging in to my Care Credit account with Synchrony Bank, in August 2022, I was met with a pop-up forcing me to agree to electronic communications to access my online account. No X to close the box, and no decline option.
Electronic Communications sit on the banks server, and they can alter them at any time. I insist on all paper statements and communications which have archival ink and watermarks as regulations require.
China and Russia actively hack US Banks. The first thing a bank will ask you for is a legit statement proving your balances. A home printer sheet cannot be authenticated.
Synchrony further lies and says we'll send a "Code" for security. Your consent gives them an end run around privacy laws, and gives access your phone gyroscope, sensors, location, data, etc. Think about it, the guy who stole your phone, has the code in his hand.
Desired outcome: Web access must include all statements, promotional balances, due dates, past due notifications on the dashboard. e-communications should be a customer option, not shoved down the throats of the peasants.
Credit Card
I had a $2,500 credit limit. Once used the card in full then paid it off in full. I used the card again and spent about $150 which I kept as a small balance. Never paid late. In fact auto pay is on. My credit score has actually gone up even more since getting this card. Out of nowhere, they decide to lower my credit limit from $2,500 to $250. That makes zero sense. I would never want to do business with this company. Of all my years on this planet, this has never happened. So disrespectful. Regret ever wasting my time on getting a card with this awful company.
Venmo credit, Care credit
Synchrony is the most ridiculous credit company out there. One year ago I opened a Venmo credit card and had a $5,800 credit limit. Mind you, my credit was less than 600 due to a bankruptcy following a divorce, so I was very surprised at the limit. Out of the blue last month, I tried to use my card and learned I was declined bc I was $12 away from my limit. The weird thing is that I had JUST paid off my card the month before (and many other cards with Synchrony). I was never late. I was furious! I called them and for no explanation for why this happened.
Fast forward to today…I just learned they actually CLOSED one of my accounts (Care credit), which I use for dental work and other medical bills. The weird thing with this one is that my mom was a co-applicant and she has near-perfect credit. So bizarre! I have MANY other cards with them…so I’m just waiting to have them all shut down for no reason as well. Also, I should add that my credit utilization rate is at 22%. This time last year it was probably closer to 50%. I had paid off many cards, which brought my utilization rate down to 18%…their big “thank you” for that was too royally screw up my rate and leave me with a much higher rate.
I have included a screenshot of the reasons they closed my account, none of which are valid. I have ONE derogatory mark (as I mentioned) that is almost seven years old, and NO derogatory current accounts. And as I mentioned, the balances on most of my cards were paid off just two months ago.
This company randomly goes through and shuts down their customer’s credit accounts with no notification or explanation. It’s absolutely unethical and unprofessional. Please don’t think you can ever count on them…especially when you are planning on using one of their cards for an upcoming purchase (which I was to start a new small business). You may just find out you have none to use at all when you need it.

Dispute charge process
I have requested a dispute on one of my charge back in March of 2022 because the merchant overcharge me, the process takes a very long time. I did not receive a case number and no one call me to update on the process of the dispute. I would have to call them every few weeks to look for updates and every time the rep would say they're looking into it. Then when I called in June, a rep told me that they have resolved the case and will refund me in 4 to 8 weeks. And here I am called back at the end of August because I still have not receive my refund and another rep told me they closed out my case due to not having enough evident. This has been on going for almost 6 months and nothing has been done on their end. They are not handling it the way they're supposed to and the process shouldn't even be that long, if they know what the hell they're doing. This Bank does not know how to handle dispute properly and I do not have trust to use their credit card anymore, knowing that if the merchants made a mistake, I won't be getting my money back. The credit card/bank do not help their customers resolve dispute issues. They are completely useless.
Synchrony Home
I just tried to log in (08/28/22) to make an (early) payment and all of a sudden I couldn’t log in. I bought a couch (almost) two years ago at a store and got approved by Synchrony I will say the store lied. They said to make a 60 dollar payment every month and it would be PAID OFF in 12 months. That was a lie. I have paid every month on time since November of 2020 and have never missed or been late. Now all of a sudden can’t get into my account. I checked my email and just like everyone here it said my credit score was too low. Like what? It hasn’t changed since you approved me. And the idiots just approved me at Conns for a washer and dryer. So that makes no sense. Then one of the reasons was I hadn’t paid down my house enough. It’s been TWO YEARS! But here’s what really doesn’t make sense. I still had a balance (remember I was lied to from the original store) now I don’t know what to do. I am freaking out. Is my credit the best? No. Is it horrible? Also no. I am so mad I can’t see straight.
Desired outcome: I would like to continue to pay my bill I was never late on. I would like my credit not to take a dive because of you. I would like to see a class action suit as this has to be illegal in some ways.
They did something similar to me recently. Lowered my limit by over $5,000 for no reason, and closed another account that I have a co-applicant on with perfect credit. My credit is worse now than when they approved me! Oh, and did I mention that I had just paid off the account they lowered the limit on? They are INSANE!
Customer rep unprofessional
Customer service rep was very unprofessional, rude and was not supportive of requests or to even direct me. Only request I had was to provide me my account # so I could send a pre-printed check in to payoff my account by end of month for credit score increase. The account number wasn't listed on my statement and only provided last 4 numbers. He asked where is your card - I said It wasn't in front of me and didn't have it. He then stated "I don't know what to tell you, I cant give it to you".
So I checked again online for this this info and he closed my account. This request was not made. He didn't verify me, ssn, address etc.
Customer service.
The representatives are one of the most impatient people I've ever spoken with. I get that people are tired and dealing with people sucks but you gotta help us out when it was something that was out of our hands. I tried asking them questions since I didn't understand why my scheduled payment is not working and they kept speaking in circles and not even taking a chance to breathe so I can clarify. They ignored my other questions and just bowled through the conversations. Lady was very snappy and rude. Hung up. Wish I pulled a Karen asked to speak to the manager or something.
Desired outcome: Don't be an A$$. Speak clearly abd let the customer finish speaking before you bowl over the conversation.
Belks credit
This has been a disputed for months. Return dated 9/28/21 in amount of 81.29 has not been credited to my belk account. No one seems able to help after multiple phone calls, 2 faxes. Why is it that one can find this credit even after I submitted a copy of the receipt?please see attached copy of receipt. The last disputed digital letter was dated August 22,2022
Closing account
Despite making payments in a timely manner and NOT being behind in our payments Synchrony closed our account supposedly because my credit score dipped. I am so angry at this practice. One of the reasons my score dipped is because they had two accounts opened for us and one had a $0 balance. They shouldn't be able to close an account when all payments to them have not been impacted in any way. My credit score did not change my ability to make payments to them and this practice is unfair. Now I have to make payments as a guest...what a bunch of crap.

Ashley Furniture
I purchased a bedroom suite from Ashley online Dec 2021. It's Aug 22 and Ashley refuses to replace the furniture. I contacted synchrony to file a complaint and it's a merry go round. They file AF denies and I dispute and they deny. Now a yr later synchrony closes the dispute and I'm stuck with broken furniture. I'm a loyal synchrony customer but they aren't discover so you get what you pay for!
Desired outcome: I would like my furniture replaced or fir my cc co to protect me
Can't Log-in
I haven't been able to access any of my 4 credit card accounts in weeks. The website pop-ups with a system error immediately after I enter my password. I am going to close all 4 accounts and leave Synchrony for good. Their customer service is non-existent. I have emailed them and complained and all they do is tell me to log-in and check my messages. But I can't log-in. Is it that hard to just email me? Or... call me?
Desired outcome: I dare someone to just call me and tell my why the website is broken. I will gladly write one check to pay-off all my cards and never have to deal with them again!
Would not dispute a charge.
I charged for three nights stay to go to Mayo. I told the booking agency, that I did not know how long I would stay. I was discharged after one day, and called to cancel. They told me that as long as the Hotel said OK, and I checked out, they would refund the other two nights.
After, they would not. Synchrony that that I had to prove when I checked out. I got the checkout date from the Hotel, and sent it to them. They sided with the dishonest lying booking agency and would not refund the two days. their dispute system is very complex, difficult to use, and requires all kinds of written forms etc. Even though it was clear when I checked in and out, they would not do anything.
Desired outcome: Be honest and refund several hundred dollars I was over charges.
Unauthorized block on my card.
On Tuesday August 16th 2022 my daughter was leaving work at 4:30pm and her car would not start. She called me and I asked her if she had Roadside Assistance. She looked it up and did have it. She called and they needed $70.00 for that service. I told her to use the Mastercard. The card was declined to my surprise. I pay monthly payments always more than minimum and always on time. So after awhile someone from her work gave her a jump and she headed to O’Rileys to get a battery. 40 minutes later at O’Rileys the card was declined again so she could not get a battery. At this time around 6:30pm I called card services to be told by a representative that a block had been placed on card for possible fraud. I asked what they thought was fraudulent and he said $70.00 and I said no we were trying to get roadside assistance and can he unblock the card? He said no the card would have to be cancelled and reissued. I said that can’t be I did not authorize them to block my card and that that charge was not fraudulent. He said no he could not help me.
So my daughter was stranded and then could not get a battery. I had to load her 3 kids in the car and drive 30 minutes to pay for a car battery.
This is not the kind of service I need to supposedly protect me. So I’m giving you the balance of that card for you to take care of.
In reading on your page the block can be withdrawn with my approval immediately in order to continue my business without interruption.
Desired outcome: I’d appreciate acknowledgment of the complaint and some kind of restitution.
Credit Card Payment

My payments are due on the 6th of the month in the amount of $119.00. In July my bank statement shows that I paid my account 120.00 on 7/6 with an electronic transfer to your bank. I was told that this was not credited to my account until 7/7, which then incurred a 30.00 late fee. I made my payment of 120.00 as normal on 8/2 via my bank electronic transfer as normal. I did not know about the 30.00 late fee. I was then charged another late fee of 41.00 due to the Aug payment being 120.00 instead of the 149.00, which included the July late fee. I called customer service and discussed this initially with Ruth. She got permission to wave the 41.00 Aug late fee but then informed me that this would be applied to the principle but not to my Sep payment. I then asked for a manager. His name was Luke. I explained the situation and he basically stated that what they did was correct. I stated that the bill is due on the 6th and that is when my bank statement shows it was paid so I should not have incurred the July late fee which then led to the Aug late fee. I have no control over what happens between my bank (Wells Fargo) and your company. No where on your bill does it state that I have to pay my bill 3 to 4 days ahead to make sure that my account gets credited properly, which by the way we did pay on the banking app on 7/2. In addition to this it was told to me that the 41.00 late fee would be credited to my principle and not my Sep payment so I would owe 189.00 for Sep. This does not make sense to me since the credit should be applied to what I pay. We have never been late with a payment in the full time we have had this account.
Desired outcome: All late fees waived and payment due in Sep to be the normal 119.00.
