I have an amazon account with Synchrony Bank that was used to purchase an electric toothbrush. However, amazon sent me a different model from what I had ordered and offered me no recourse or replacement options except to return it. I put in a request for a return and the item was picked up by the carrier but somehow got lost in transit. Despite this not having anything to do with me much less being my fault, amazon refused to refund my money.
After months of back and forth without getting anywhere, I naturally took the next best step and filed a dispute claim with my bank. I provided all the required evidence, including proof that ups did indeed pick up my package.Till today, despite multiple filed claims, the bank has done nothing to support me or refund my money, failing their promise of protecting me.
In December, I needed to make some renovations and opened a Lowes credit card to get 5% off my purchases. I unfortunately did not realise until it was too late that the bank was Synchrony. Fast forward 2 month and multiple calls later, I have yet to receive my card and the bank had the audacity to charge me interest on purchases I made when I initially opened the card. All this while denying me any means of reviewing the statement amount despite multiple requests to at least email or mail the statement to me for review. I also can't make payments without the physical card.
I would not recommend this bank to my worst enemy.
Claimed loss: 149.95
Desired outcome: I want my card for my Lowes account so I can access my account and make payment. Then I'm closing both accounts and putting the horrible bank in my rearview mirror
