Completion documentation not issued after 3 weeks.
The work to install a conservatory roof was completed satisfactorily but the standard of work by the electrician and plasterer was poor and the required documentation to complete the job not issued. The plasterer left so much mess that it took several days to wash the floor to enable a new floor to be laid. The electrician had to return to the site to enable the lights to work. During completion check, as the workmen we’re leaving, it was found that a double light switch was removed and a single installed.
I have now been told that the electrician has gone away on holiday for 2 weeks without issuing an electrical certificate so it will be 5 weeks, at the earliest, before the building control department at the council can issue a completion certificate.
Desired outcome: Firstly I need a completion certificate.Secondly I want to warn potential new customers not to make final payment until completion.
We bought solar panels from Synergy Home Improvements 2 years ago
We bought solar panels from Synergy Home Improvements 2 years ago. The panels ain't workin' right, ya know? We done called 'em multiple times, but they ain't callin' us back to address our complaints. They promised a 25-year warranty, but we still gotta pay for 'em. This ain't how a company should treat folks like us, especially when my husband's a retired veteran.

I got solar panels installed in August 2022, but they're still leaking. I asked them to fix it before the rains start. I checked my attic on 12-31-22 and found another leak.

Synergy Home Improvements put in a solar power system at my house in February
Synergy Home Improvements put in a solar power system at my house in February . They promised that the system would generate a certain amount of electricity each year for 25 years. But it hasn't lived up to that promise. When I reached out to the company, they told me to deal with the manufacturer. They didn't want to help with the lack of power production. However, the contract clearly states that Synergy's guarantee is supported by the manufacturer of the solar panels. The panels are supposed to have a 25-year Power Production Guarantee that Synergy will take care of.
This company is one of the worst organizations I have ever dealt with
This company is one of the worst organizations I have ever dealt with. *** is a very knowledgeable salesman and also a part owner by the information he gave me, but the company is a mess. Once we signed the contract all communication broke down. After paying a large deposit we heard nothing for over a month. I then called the the company and had to push and guide them the rest of the way. I believe the install took over 3 months and about 20 to 30 calls or emails. Once complete, an inverter went out and we had to once again contact the organization multiple times to get it fixed. I have also been trying to reach *** and customer service for about 3 weeks with no response. Not sure, but maybe they are going out of business. *** and Synergy, if you are reading this, please respond to my last inquiry sent multiple times over the last 3 weeks.
We got our solar panels between December and January
We got our solar panels between December and January . They seemed fine until June 2022 when half stopped working. We contacted Synergy right away (June 27,2022) because our contract says they must come within two business days. They didn't send anyone until July 8th and he only suggested it might be the micro inverters without inspecting the roof. On July 16th, they contracted an external technician to repair the panels, which took about 4 hours, and they reported incorrect wiring. On August 24th, our monitoring system (Enphase) showed the panels were still faulty, visible to Synergy too since they have Enphase access. The next day, a technician stated we needed new micro inverters, and since then, we've had no further communication. Despite numerous attempts to reach out, including to the owner who sold us the system, we've received no response.
I got my solar panel system installed by a Synergy contractor called SolarEdge in March
I got my solar panel system installed by a Synergy contractor called SolarEdge in March . It cost me $36,264, but unfortunately, it stopped producing energy in June . According to Synergy's policy, they won't take responsibility for any charges from the energy company (PG&E) unless they are notified of the issue. So, in March 2022, about 10 months ago, I reached out to Synergy to inform them about the problem. I explained that I was receiving high bills from PG&E, which I believed shouldn't be the case after installing solar panels.
Synergy initially thought it was a problem with the monitoring system. However, it was later discovered that I was missing an inverter. They informed me via email on 9/29/22 that they would install it as soon as they could get their hands on one. Unfortunately, as of today, there is no scheduled installation date, and my solar panels are still not producing any energy.
I have made several attempts to contact them, with my latest email sent on 12/6/22 to ***/*** regarding the inverter installation. However, I have received no response. Currently, I have a true-up bill of over $2200 with PG&E, which is due in March 2023, in addition to my monthly bills.
Overall, I am quite disappointed with the lack of progress and communication from Synergy. It's frustrating to have invested such a significant amount of money in a solar panel system that is not functioning properly. I hope they address this issue soon and provide a resolution.
We bought our solar in August
We bought our solar in August . Synergy inspected our property and found that our electrical panel needed upgrading. They installed the solar panels in September , but the panel swap was delayed. On October 15, an electrician came to swap the panels, but PG&E said it wasn't safe due to the gas lines. The electrician couldn't do the job. We contacted our project manager, Shay, and she said the plans would be reviewed and changed. After 3 weeks, we finally got a new date of December 15, and the electrician completed the panel swap. However, the panels are still not connected, and we can't reach Shay. She answered once and said she doesn't know when the hookup and inspection will happen. We've paid 2 out-of-pocket payments and have another one coming because Shay said they're not responsible. We're paying both PG&E and our solar bills, which defeats the purpose of having solar.
My roof gutter was damaged during solar installation and Synergy's roof crew (subcontractor) didn't let me know
My roof gutter was damaged during solar installation and Synergy's roof crew (subcontractor) didn't let me know. I emailed Synergy about the damage on June 29, 2022 and they said they would fix it. I waited for a long time and then followed up. They gave me reasons for the delay (contract signed, scheduling, and looking for a new vendor). Synergy told me to keep checking for updates on the gutter repairs. On September 7, 2022, I contacted a local roofing company and got a bid the same day. I emailed the gutter estimate to Synergy for approval on September 7, 2022, but I still haven't heard back. On 9/10/22, I told them I was going to complain to the ComplaintsBoard.com, but they didn't respond. During the solar panel installation, the crew used two of my ladders without asking and didn't put them back. They left cut zip ties all over my front yard, including leftover food. Their salesperson (part owner) doesn't respond to any complaints or issues once you sign the contract. I suggest keeping a record of all communication, like I did. Our roof solar was approved by the City on August 4, 2022. Synergy just submitted the *** Metering Solar application to PG&E for our PTO last week, which is delaying our savings even more. Now we're waiting for PG&E to review and approve it.
I agreed to have Synergy install my solar system in Nov 2021 cuz I knew I would be getting an ** in the future and needed a charging solution at
I agreed to have Synergy install my solar system in Nov 2021 cuz I knew I would be getting an *** in the future and needed a charging solution at home. I explained all that to the sales rep before signing anything. They assured me that the system would have extra power and cover the *** charging no problem. They also promised a breaker panel upgrade to handle the extra power from the solar and *** charger. The install was done by another company called Titan Solar, which they didn't tell me about upfront. I thought everything was done by Synergy. The panel install went fine, but that's about it. The system was way underestimated. I'm paying more for power now with the *** and solar than before. They underestimated my power needs so bad that my bill costs more than before solar! That's crazy! And they didn't upgrade my breaker panel, they just replaced it with the same size breaker. That's not an upgrade at all. It's now Mar 2023 and I haven't heard anything since Aug 2022. *** says they "did the job correctly" and Synergy keeps blaming Titan. But I haven't heard from anyone since Aug.
The roof was left with old wood and patched with old stuff
The roof was left with old wood and patched with old stuff. The extra materials that were bought and leftover were taken by the contractors. There's a hole in the house and the trusses weren't replaced. Wires are hanging around. The vents were put in where you can see light coming through the roof. The contractors ripped off part of the roof and then left in the middle of the storm, leaving boards exposed for water damage. When they returned days later, they just covered up the wood with water damage. Asbestos was left inside the roof and now it's caving. They charged us extra to rebuild the whole back side of the roof, which wasn't replaced. My mom told the man that came out with the contract that she didn't understand what she was signing. So my daughter and sister had set up a time with the man to come out when they could both be here, but he came out before when my mom was without them and forced her to sign before they could get here. The man also said it was gonna be energy efficient, but they can't show us proof of that. They also listed materials that weren't bought or used on the roof. We've contacted this company several times. A woman named ERIKA, who says she's a manager, is refusing to come back out and finish the job they said they would do, unless we pay them more money than they say we owe them already.
