Very bad company
I recently did 2 jobs for a lady in February 2021 1st time taking on jobs through task rabbit, so I was excited both jobs went well I waited about a week to get paid but saw nothing had been direct deposited. So I called Task Rabbit and the guy on the phone said I should uninstall the app and then reinstall the app, so I did and all of my jobs and everything was wiped clean as if I didn't even do the jobs thankfully I was able to reach out to my customer and see if she was charged, and she was, but I still didn't get paid. My feeling about this company is VERY BAD they still have not paid me and I feel like I'm getting the run around. Don't do business with this company and DON'T WORK FOR THEM they will rip you off ridiculous I'm now going to contact the labor dept. and file a complaint I will be contacting my Lawyer and the local media I just want to be paid for the work I've done. And for Task Rabbit to do the right thing. VERY BAD! VG

Electrical. Readjust flood light rear of my home
On Thursday, 3/4, I posted a task with Task Rabbit. The job required a tasker with a ladder that could reach 20' up the side of my house in order to adjust a flood light's cone of light away from my neighbors. The job had to be done in the dark to see the cone of light.
I selected Delonte, an electrician here in Washington, DC. We spoke on the phone.
He did not want to do the work in the dark. We agreed that I should find another tasker.
That was the end of it.
Now I see that my credit card has been charged for one hour of Delante's services.
Desired outcome: Credit my advance payment back to my credit card.
Theft, Insufficient Response
Please beware- if a Tasker steals from you, TaskRabbit will refuse to issued a refund for the task or cooperate with law enforcement after a police report has been filed. And the tasker who committed the crime still has an active account almost two months later--- the crime occurred on 7 December and the police report was filed two days later. TaskRabbit refused to respond to my emails until 13 days later, then refused to respond to Metropolitan Police until WEEKS later. Then claimed they couldn't assist with the investigation unless a search warrant or subpoena was issued---- which can't happen unless TaskRabbit provides the police with the thief's information.

Furniture assembly
I had a furniture assembly on Sunday, December 20th at approximately 8:15 am. The technician arrived and completed the job in 1.5 hours as promised. I was home alone for the remainder of the day.
During the installation my wallet was in an unclosed drawer, I forgot to move it. I stayed at home all day Sunday and no one other than the tasker entered my home. Today, Monday Dec 21st I have searched a total of three hours for my Limited Edition Louis Vuitton wallet. And it is nowhere to be seen. I have attempted SEVERAL times to reach a taskrabbit support personnel. To no avail.

ikea bed installation
David G spent 3 hours and charged US dollar 259 while trying to install a queen size bed but could not complete it. His initial assessment of the task was 2 hours and we had to send him back after 3 hours as he did not know how many more hours he will take. This Tasker claimed be skilled in fixing a small leak in the shower. Instead he broke the main water pipe in my home. Then, he broke another pipe that led to the toilet and because of this, my entire kitchen ceiling fell. He tried to fix the problem because I had no water and guilt. He messed up my home so bad that I had to get a crew to clean up the damage. Among other stuff, he took my bathroom door off the henges, he broke my basement stair rail and so much dust until it will take weeks to clean.
I am writing to the Attorney General's office of Maryland and California. It cost over $3, 000 to repair the damage and I have not done the ceiling cost yet. I am devastated

The person did not show up to the appointment but had the audacity to say that she was there and cleaned and that she was let in by a female whom she assumed to be my wife but never asked for the name. I was there the entire time waiting for the person. I was charged non the less and would like my money back. Furthermore, I've contacted taskrabbit and they said they would attend to me in 2 - 3 weeks. I feel helpless and though I've been fooled and probably tricked by someone who does this strategically.
ikea furniture assembly
Via the IKEA website I booked to have TaskRabbit assemble a new bedframe with drawers and dresser. Although the IKEA website advertised that all TaskRabbit workers have been trained to put IKEA furniture together there is no way the guy who tried to do this job was ever trained. He was so incompetent. He basically ruined both pieces of furniture. The drawers do not fit and they are broken Scratches everywhere. Now trying to get any customer support from Task Rabbit is impossible. When you call the service number you get a recording to use chat or email for issues. Neither work.

Hello,
I last used TaskRabbit in the UK, early last December.
As my card had expired, I was required to submit a new card. I had a new UK card issued and sent to my current address in Australia. I could not register this card myself and it took some to-ing and fro-ing with your support people to establish that it was because the automated system expected a UK address.
I have exchanged a number of emails with TAskRabbit about this issue (eg one ticket is numbered #1409575). It has taken considerable time and effort for me to not get very far. I was last advised that the matter was being looked into and a senior manager would be in touch shortly.
It's been weeks since I heard from TaskRabbit so today when I went to check, I clicked on the last ticket, I was surprised to find it said Page Not Found. I take it that means my issue has been deleted from your system and I have been waiting patiently for nothing?!
Can you please expedite this process so that I can pay my dues and instruct further work?

No money from TaskRabbit
I am one who completes the tasks and gets the money for my job.
I have nothing against the employer. She as nice to me and has nothing to do with my issue. I must say that the employers pay right after they post the tasks. So mine was charged as well.
My problem is that I haven't received the money yet and this question is for the TaskRabbit. They don't answer, don't pick up the phone.
It's a weird service I don't recommend you to deal with.
tasker did a terrible job with no consequences.
I hired Mihai a London (UK) based tasker to come put up a curtain pole on August 12 at 8 am . He showed up on time and did the task. Within less than 24 hours the pole became crooked and started to fall out off the wall. I contacted him directly - he had given me his private number for future jobs requesting I bypass task rabbit). He did not respond, whereas before he was very responsive. I contacted Task Rabbit who refused to do anything and told me to contact my insurer. They would not even allow me to post a review. This is appalling and they have no accountability and should not be allowed to operate this way.
Bad service!
TaskRabbit has a very poor service and they are not to be trusted! They stole my money and there is no way to reach them because they don't reply.
I lost my job and was searching some alternative ways of income and that's how I found TaskRabbit. I paid for the registration and got noting in exchange. They simply took my money and provided no service. I tried to get my money back but only wasted my time and got nothing. I would not recommend this terrible site to anyone. I did not get any tasks and I still don't understand what did I pay for. What a joke!
Not good experience
Nov 2016: While some rabbits did OK jobs, I had several rabbits who arrived late to tasks which they signed up for and caused extreme inconveniences. Another rabbit was worse - basically leaves a task open for weeks and months and did not even respond to emails or inquiries until I contacted the taskrabbit customer service asking for refund. Task ended up not completed according to the request but I was still charged with the expense. It should be highlighted as huge warnings prior to any usage that the company does not offer any type or sense of liability or responsibility over the actual completion and/or quality of the completion of the tasks (making the system prone to rabbits taking advantage of this to get away with doing sloppy job). Also, the company does not allow tasker to write reviews on the rabbit who did poor jobs, they would simply remove the customer displaying any dissatisfaction with the service to avoid issuing refund or getting negative reviews.
Moving help
I needed some help but had no idea who to ask for help. All of my friends were busy and did not have time. I went online and found TaskRabbit website, and the whole thing seemed like a great deal. I made an account there and applied to find a "tasker". One day later someone finally contacted me and said that he had some free time and also had a car. That was nice, so I hired him and he promised to arrive next morning. He was supposed to be here at 9 am but he did not show up. I tried to call but there was no answer. I waited patiently for about two hours and then I contacted TaskRabbit and reported that guy. He finally arrived 6 hours later and called me. I refused to pay him and refused to accept any help.
They still haven't paid me
I found ad about the job through the company www.taskrabbit.com. I contacted them and made this job, but these scammers still haven’t paid me. They provided some fake info that the payment was sent and would get it within couple of days. No money from them as well as the communication stopped. These people are scammers and liars, who promise a lot, but in result you get nothing. Please post your comments about this company.
Completed tasks over a week ago and still have not been paid despite client paying task rabbit for my services almost immediately after I had sent them the invoice. Also had no response to my emails. Will be cancelling account if and when I finally receive my money.
These jerks never showed up
I hired the company www.taskrabbit.com for the house cleaning. I was really shocked that these guys promised to come to my place on Monday from 1 p.m to 4p.m, but these jerks never showed up. I tried to call them, but the phone was already switched off. It was real waste of money and time. They are liars and scammers, and I want to find other deceived customers, who lost money. Please we need to stop this company and return our money. Post your comments.
Total rip off
The website www.taskrabbit.com is total fake and scam. Don’t post anything here, because you won’t receive anything useful in any way. I posted a task here and hoped to get some offers, but in reality no one contacted me and the moderators charged my account for several dollars. It wasn’t mentioned that I would need to pay for that. I hoped to return money, but they didn’t reply to emails. Please, if someone here had the same experience, can you help to return money back?

I hired taskrabbit.com to help me with some tasks. I set the price I could pay and they agreed. When the services have already been provided, they sent me bill twice bigger than we agreed before. What is going on? It seems to me that I have to leave the same complaint everywhere on the internet.
