Taylor Homes is amazing! the Owensboro office is top notch and Paul is THE man! He has really helped us out with our out of state long distance move. We didn't think we could manage the building process virtually, but Paul made it a breeze. He was super helpful and easy to talk to through video calls. Thanks so much Paul!
My house was builded on October by Taylor Home
My house was builded on October by Taylor Home. It will be three years with it soon, but I still have unresolved problems with the house, especially with the floor. My LVDT floor is buckling and making a lot of noise because of the high floor joists touching the sub-floor. I paid a lot of money for this floor and it should have been fixed before it was laid down. I have had four superintendent only in the past two years which shows that there's some trouble with the management. Taylor Home needs to fix my problems, or I will have to take them to court. This problem needs a resolution so I can put my house under warranty.
The build started almost a year ago this June, but the quality is subpar
The build started almost a year ago this June, but the quality is subpar. There are still things that need finishing, and no one comes out to work on it for weeks on end. We found four pages of incorrect items, yet nothing has been done to remedy them. We are now paying a mortgage on a house we're not even living in. Three separate supervisors have been assigned, with the third quitting. Despite leaving messages, we've received no call back, and our questions remain unanswered. Gary Latrell is especially unresponsive. It's hard to know what to do next.
tlor Homes is a great option to choose if you wanna build a home
tlor Homes is a great option to choose if you wanna build a home. Our experience with them was good and they finished faster than they said they would. Blanche *** helped us design our home in Shepherdsville and she was amazing. We could always ask her anything whenever we needed. Matt *** was our superintendent and he was dope. He was always around when we needed him and he kept us up to date the entire time. He worked very hard to finish the home on time. We would totally wanna work with them again if we ever build again. Taylor Homes is the best.
Taylor Homes is a solid choice for building your next home
Taylor Homes is a solid choice for building your next home. We're in Middletown, Ohio and Taylor Homes is being really professional. Larry was great helping us start and figuring out design. Been working with Dan and he's awesome! Always contacting us and letting us know where we are in the process. We've had some bumps, but Larry and Dan are always here when we need them. Contractors have done great work so far. We're excited to move in! Highly recommend Taylor Homes building for anyone who's building!
I hired Taylor Homes in September
I hired Taylor Homes in September . The sales guy had good ideas and helped me out plenty. The construction part had many problems. There were seven different superintendents, and they kept making serious mistakes. The window framing was the wrong size or completely missing. Cabinets had a splotchy finish or the doors were too big. We were missing cabinets, and the wrong color cabinets were installed. The cabinets were also installed incorrectly over the top of laundry hookups, were crooked, and had problems. The sub flooring was squeaky and loose. The bricks were discolored, attic storage was incomplete, and the recessed lights were in the wrong locations. The ceiling texture work was substandard. The fireplace, stone work, and damages to screens were not matching samples. There was no phone wiring, and we lost a light fixture. There were many no-shows by the electricians, who were going to install custom lights. We were not credited for unused french doors. The front porch columns were wrong, and the shutters and screen porch door were missing. The kitchen island was installed in the wrong location. The electrical outlets for kitchen appliances were not complete or substandard. The HVAC vent cover was missing. The exterior caulking was incomplete. The construction mess was also not cleaned, and we had to clean it ourselves without reimbursement.
Most issues were fixed in the end, but many were repaired at the homeowner's expense. I still have cabinets that need to be fixed for the right finish color and the granite soap dispenser hole. It was a horrible experience, and I will never work with Taylor Homes again.
I got a crib built in '19 and completed in Aug '20 from Taylor Homes
I got a crib built in '19 and completed in Aug '20 from Taylor Homes. We ran into some issues before moving in that we reported to Superintendent John. We put everything in writing on their form, text messages, as well as emails. We even took some pictures of the issues and asked when they would be fixed. John kept telling us it was nothing serious and that he will get it sorted. But now we are two years into living there, and nothing's changed. I had to get my own engineering company and foundation company because there were more massive issues due to Taylor Homes neglecting the issues. There was even a sewer back up on the first night with crap in my shower, and no one came to clean it up because some knucklehead had thrown paper towels down the toilet. I had to live with the stains in my shower until I coughed up $700 to replace the floor.
I had a long list of what needed to be fixed from Aug/Sept '20 and have called Gary and Chris multiple times, but Superintendent John always answers and gives me some BS every time. I even sent them all an email, but Gary and Chris never responded. *** needs to come here to sort out my problems, or I'll have to take legal action. I can see this is a significant problem with Taylor Homes. Anyone who wants to join me in taking action can reach me at Pamela

We started construction August 2022, it is now September 2023 when the promotion stated approximately 6mos or a year at most. We have already gone through 4-5 construction supervisors for some reason and they are not working every single week. There were times when nobody would work on the house for WEEKS. The supervisor would lie on what would get done a certain week and would not get to it til weeks later. Example: 2 windows were broken and installed then was not replaced until MONTHS later. This is a very small house it should not take this long to build a minimum sized home. Supervisor would log on finishing dates as well. Excuses after excuse were being made and we have no more patience.
We had a meeting with our boss on 4/9 to continue the work on our house and schedule the final bank check and our move-in time
We had a meeting with our boss on 4/9 to continue the work on our house and schedule the final bank check and our move-in time. They told us we'd be ready to move in by the end of April. But all throughout April, we were told that everything was on schedule. It turned out that nothing was being done. So we figured we'd be ready to move in by May 22nd instead. The first paint crew finally showed up on 4/25 and started working. They messed up the floors, so a second crew came to clean up the mess on 5/3. The third crew came to fix the paint job on 5/14 but never came back. Finally, a good painter showed up on 5/23 and told us that the doors and trim work had too much paint on them, so they needed to be replaced. Our roof has also had a hole in it since 4/23 from the electric service install. Unfortunately, our attic access panel fell out in May, so now the garage is overheating.

I signed the contract with Taylor Homes way back in August
I signed the contract with Taylor Homes way back in August. It took a while to pick out the colors I wanted, but we finally got that done in October. And then the loan closed on October 29, which was a relief. But since then, things have been moving at a snail's pace. We had a site meeting in mid-November, but since then, nothing much has happened. According to the loan contract, the builder had 10 months to build my house, with a completion date of August 15, 2022. But here we are in mid-April, and all we have is a hole in the ground. When I asked Taylor Homes about when they would be able to pour the basement, they said they had no idea. Meanwhile, I'm trying to keep the hole as dry as possible. I looked at the contract more closely and discovered that they were supposed to start production within 30 days of loan closing. That clearly has not happened.
The worst part is that the builder has already received 10% of my loan, and they haven't done anything with it yet. When I asked them when they planned to get started, all they could say was "I Don't Know." It's frustrating because I have a deadline to meet, and as of right now, it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I brought up my concerns with the bank, but all they could guarantee was my interest rate until December 31, 2022. It doesn't seem fair that I should have to pay fees and penalties on top of my house payment for something that's not my fault.
I just want to get to the bottom of everything and figure out why there's nothing to show for the last six and a half months out of the ten months they provided to the bank. I'm not blaming anyone in particular, but I do wish that things would move along a little bit faster.

We started with Taylor Homes in Aug 2020, but our house is still unfinished as of 4/11/2022 - with the full mortgage being paid since November 1
We started with Taylor Homes in Aug 2020, but our house is still unfinished as of 4/11/2022 - with the full mortgage being paid since November 1. To make matters worse, our rent has gone up 2 times since then due to heavy penalties for month-to-month leases. We have changed 3 supervisors during the build process with the second one being the worst. The build process has been full of mistakes such as faulty cabinets and improperly installed windows. We were promised that Taylor Homes had a system in place to measure the progress of construction, but in reality, it's not in place at all. We sent an email to the VP to discuss our grievances, but he never responded until we reached out to the customer service portal. When we finally had a call, nothing was resolved, and we were given an estimated finish time 2 months away from the call date, which puts us in a May move-in schedule. We still have numerous pending works such as gas, daylight downspouts, driveway, and many more. We even talked to their hired contractors who could not fathom why the house is taking so long to be completed. The worst part is that we are violating our neighborhood build mandate, which only gives one year to complete construction. We are left with no option but to pay mortgage and rent at the same time without any sense of urgency from their end. If we could explain more, we would, but this is an overview of just a few of the problems we have had.
