TD Bank review: Maintenance fees

First I am happy they finally got rid of the toxic overdraft fee policy that would cause endless fees to be added to your account every time your account hit negative and every 5 days until you deposit enough money to be positive after you get another 35$ fee.

Now the issue at hand which is why after 10 years I will close the first bank account I ever opened and will likely avoid using TD until I die are the Maintenance fees. One quick google search and multiple banks and institutions like capital one have since retired maintenance fees some time ago. But TD bank which loves to rip fees from their customers has decided to implement and uphold a policy that adds a whopping 15$ fee every time your account dips under 100$ during any given day. It doesn't matter if you resolve the issue the next day or the next week when you get paid, if it happens at all you are automatically charged 15$ for doing absolutely nothing but choosing to use TD bank as your bank. We are in a financial recession yet TD banks expects us all at all times to keep over 100$ in all of our accounts and to never have it dip below this or we get punished while TD Bank makes profit.
