Recently received. Letter from Paul Alfred Thomas, TD Canada Trust Bank, [protected]@gmail.com, stating that I might be an heir to a Joe Granke who died in 2007 in London. Is this for real or a scam? I am highly suspicious especially since the letter is not on any bank letterhead and the city is listed as Ontario, which I know is not a city.
Just got a letter today to about me being the only next of kin they can find 10 years later, all the way here in the states. They must be getting desperate! You can tell it is fake, they have typed the names in different font and size LOL Only thing on the return address is COSTCO! They might be using a prepaid postage code, not sure if they can track back to who owns it.
Got the same letter. I scanned the QR code on the postage and it take it to a tracking page for truck drivers through the CAA, the AAA roadside service for Canada. Interesting. I wonder if the people receiving these letters are members of AAA or were recently..
My 84-year-old mom just got a similar letter, from TD Bank Canada Trust, with David Tabor's email address, about a long lost relative who died without a will, leaving behind 9.2 million. Any organization to report this scam to?
