Charge for service I didn’t receive
They failed to show up on 3 different day of schedule and charge me for it. I was supposed to get a free follow up in a month the ever 3 months they would come out for 131.50 charge. When they show up for follow up visit they charge me and the device guy told me to keep eye out for a charge and sure enough they did. He told me if they did that it was wrong and to call them. I did and they said it was right and couldn’t do anything else. Please try some else so you won’t have to live through this.
Tent Fumigation
On August 31, 2022 $1,560 was paid for Contract #16770-[protected]-7285 for a Dry Wood termite fumigation. This contract has a one year service follow up included and we purchased an additional year. On September 23rd, the property was tented for less than 18hours. On November 3, 2022 we found live bugs. I can't get a return call to take care of this problem.
Desired outcome: To have the paid in full service properly done. I want my home to be tented for the correct amount of time and the termite colony exterminated or a full refund.
Termite service
I received services from you o 9/1/2022. I had gnat, roaches and mice issues. When your represenative mike aumueller came for the initial consultation he lied to me, I told him I did not want termite service for I do not own my home, and he stated "don't worry, it comes with the package". Then I get a bill with two different services and charges. One for pest control and the other for termite, which I did not ask for. I have called my branch at least 5 times since with no response and the branch manager will not call me back and i'm getting no where. Do I need to contact a lawyer for abuse? I hope not. I have never in my life been treated like trash, and it's even worse i'm being treated like trash and paying you monthly for services I never asked for. I would like the courtesy of trying to resolve this matter, I am a first time customer and I will never refer this company to anyone ever!

Technician did not show for scheduled appointment
Yesterday I had a scheduled Bi-monthly appointment to service one of our rentals at 5801 Gold Flower Lane at 10:14. I called the office at 10:20 and told the receptionist the technician had not showed up. She called him ang said he was running about 15 minutes late. I called back in 30 minutes to tell her he had not arrived. She said she would call him, then I heard phone ringing. She had sent me to voice mail.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and service rescheduled soon as possible. The tenant is still having issues with roaches.
Pest control
I called expecting to get a reputable, boy was I wrong! Salesperson promised me the world and delivered nothing! I was unfortunate to stay at a hotel and brought back bed bugs. I called what I thought was the professionals, and was promised the world and assured they would be gone. Well, the tech that came did not do half of what the salesperson sold me on. He did not explain that I was signing up for a 6 month treatment plan and so told by customer service. Why in the world would anyone sign up for that. All the other exterminators told me it would take a 1st treatment and possibly a 2nd treatment 2 weeks later, not 6 months! I would have never used their service had the salesman told me the truth! I only have 2 months left on my lease. They have been to my apartment 3 times and EVERY time i get home, I still find bugs! They have not made it better but worse. I would HIGHLY recommend any other service and NOT this company! Promise you, you will thank me later!

Termite and pest bundle
Entered a one year contract for a termite and pest bundle service. Ended up relocating and selling the home receiving service about 6 months into the contract (April 2022). Multiple phone calls to cancel the contract were attempted and despite being told it would be cancelled, it never was. It took nearly 3 months to get a confirmation that the contract would be cancelled and at that time with the agreement that I would pay the cost of the remainder of the contract. After paying the remainder of the contract, I continued to be billed monthly. I would call customer service and be reassured that these charges were not my responsibility and that it was occurring because the bait stations at my home had not yet been removed. At this time I also discovered the contract was not yet cancelled because the bait stations were still in place. I was told that once the bait stations were removed, the contract would be officially cancelled and the charges would be waived. In September of 2022, I was notified that a technician serviced my home and I was being charged for a bundle contract renewal despite a note on the file to remove the bait station and that Terminix did not have permission to service the home. Upon calling Terminix, I was told that this was done in error and that the stations would be pulled out and my account would be credited. I was again told that I was not responsible for the charges on my account. 10/25/2022, I received a statement that my account was seriously past due and that I owed for all of the prior charges I was told were credited. In talking with customer service again (at least the 5th time since May), I was told that the charges would be waived but I now owed a cancellation fee. This was the first time that I was informed there was a cancellation fee.
Desired outcome: I would like the cancellation fee to be waived as I was told on multiple occasions that I no longer owed further on my account. I would also like Terminix to ensure that it does not take 6 months to cancel a contract.
I requested twice that they write off the September invoice and they refused.
In July our shed was replaced with a new one and we were advised that termites were present.
Terminix was supposed to come on August 17, 2022 to add the new shed to a contract we had with them for appx. 20 years. No one showed up and after I called twice the person who cancelled and his supervisor did not return any calls.
When I called the next week, I was told that someone will call in 48 hours to give me a new date that would be in the middle of October.
I felt that their service was not acceptable and cancelled. They continue to bill me for September at $79 when I complained said that they would only cancel 30 days after I requested it.
I was a good customer for 20 years and feel that it is not acceptable that they demand I pay when they cancelled and would place at the end of their appointments.
Inspecting damage
My fiance, house was damaged by hurricane ida. Contractors came in and gutted the house, she has had a contract with yall for 15 years they found termite damage on some of the house, yall agent came this morning and meet with her. he denied helping saying that they had to find living termite. he was rude and being sarcastic she was almost in tears, after 15 years of using yall business to get treated that way was un called for. to think that it might be around a 1500 to fix and repair damage ares to get treated like she did is wrong. With all the rebuilding the area I myself will politely informed surrounding communities of the way yall handle this

My complaint is about a lone that I am paying for that I told the sales representative (Michael), I did not want to take out a loan. I only found out about the loan when I received a letter from, Secure Monthly Affordable Credit that SMAC, would start taking out 112.29 monthly for 18 months. I have spoken with Michael and his supervisor, the loan company and several phone calls to Terminix. Michael is denning that I told him I did not want the loan. I have paid an early cancelling fee to Terminix. I don't feel like I should be paying for a loan that I did not ask for. I sent a letter to the CEO, Brett Ponton on Sept. 29, 2022. Have not received a response.
If I am responsible for the loan, then I feel like Terminix needs to send the loan back to SMAC or send the money to me, if I'm the one that is having to pay for the loan. Terminix received loan money that I did not ask for and I'm having to pay the loan back. This is in no way right and it is extremely hard for me to believe that a company like Terminix would hold someone responsible for something they did not ask for. It's like Terminix got money and Terminix is making me pay for it. My contract # [protected].
Roach extermination
Worst company ever. I paid 250 dollars to spray for roaches with a guarantee that they would come back if the problem wasnt taken care of. After multiple no-shows over quite a few weeks trying to get them back for a 2nd spray, everytime I set up an appointment they didn't show and they seem to have made the problem worse. After many conversations with multiple people, I got nothing but a runaround. I have screenshots and dates if anyone wants them. I even tried to request a refund since they won't come out and they tell me that they will call me back and don't. I'm probably going to have to move to escape the bugs since I can't afford to pay another company. Thanks Terminix.
Desired outcome: I want my money back so I can hire someone else.
Bait Station
After selling my property only 3 months after signing the annual agreement with Terminix they refused to refund any amount for time not used. Store: Terminix Nola. Date of service May 5, 2022. Property sold date September 7, 2022. I attempted to cancel the contract and they are making it difficult. I submitted the documents to cancel and they still have not cancelled.

• After I called Terminix about the bird issue, mice, and droppings in the attic, Samuel Flack came to our hoe for an Exclusion Wildlife Extra.
• After looking at the droppings, he called a supervisor who told him the droppings were from a “pregnant mouse”.
• Being in disbelief, I called another specialist. A few days later they had a bat expert come to our home. He informed us the droppings were actually bat guanu.
Late March 2022
• I called Terminix again to complain about the complete misdiagnosis and asked for a 100% refund of the $500 we paid on 1/21/2022 and asked for a refund of the $1,750 we paid on 1/21/2021 for the Wildlife exclusion since it had not worked at all.
• I was told someone would call me back, which NEVER happened.
April 4, 2022 – 3rd call. Spoke with Kiara.
• Told her I wanted to cancel our account and get refunds for the $500 and $1,750 mentioned above.
• I shared the details of the issues also mentioned above.
Kiara said she would make sure someone would take care of speaking with someone about:
• Getting a refund for $500 paid on 1/21/2022 and for The $1750 pd on 1/21/2021.
• Asked about pulling the Terminix termite bait stations around our house.

April 11, 2022
• Brent Westwater showed up to pull the Terminix termite stations.
• I saw him not only pulling the Terminix termite stations, but he was also pulling the newly installed green Pure Pest Termite stations.
• I absolutely could not believe it and had to go out and tell him that those were not Terminix stations and I had just paid a lot of money to have them installed.
• He replaced those he had pulled and was very nice about it.
• I couldn’t believe it… another issue with Terminix, or it would have been if I hadn’t been watching him.
• When I walked around the entire house, I noticed Brent did not put the Pure Pest green stations back in the ground properly.
• There was a lot of dirt on our front walk.
• I had to call PurePest to come out and make sure the termite stations removed by Terminix’s Brent Westwater were in the ground correctly.
• 12:40 pm - Called Terminix and spoke with Cassandra.
o She reviewed the previous notes.
o Escalated to the proper branch manager, Nakori Boyd
o 24 to 48 hours response time.
o I never heard anything from anyone…
Since April 11, 2022
• I have spoken with Mike Thomson at Terminix several times.
• Mike said he would speak with a regional/district manager to get the situation resolved.
• To date, nothing has been resolved. My wife and I are appalled at the complete lack of customer service by Terminix. It is obvious to us that all Terminix cares about is getting their money… and NOT taking care of valid customer concerns.
May 13, 2022
• I received an email from Mike Thomson checking in.
• I called him. He asked me to send him my notes on the various calls/communications I’ve had with Terminix to try to get them to resolve this situation and issue us refunds for what we’ve paid.
Note: There are calls that I did not log in my notes as well. Hopefully these are documented by Terminix.
• At the very least, please issue us a check for the $500 we paid on 1/21/2022 and for the $1,750 paid for the wildlife exclusion on 1/21/2021.
• Hopefully, more can be done as this situation has become unbelievable and the way Terminix has handled the situation is completely unacceptable with the absolute lack of customer service and follow through.
• We would appreciate an accurate update of what will be done and by what date.

Desired outcome: To be refunded:1. The $500 renewal fee paid on January 21, 20222. The $1,750 fee for the Wildlife Exclusion service (which obviously did NOT work) paid on January 21, 2021.
Terminix is overcharging me
My name is Kathy Brooks my address is 412 Marathon Ave Dayton OH on or around 7/28/22 my grandson saw a bug in his bed at first I didn't think nothing of it he said it was a ladybug but a couple of days later I saw a bed bug in my car (after visiting the Kroc Ctr for an event) I immediately went and bought bed bug spray, and bombs. I bombed and sprayed all the bedrooms. Then I had another a pest control company that I have used in the past come in and inspect he said he saw evidence of bed bugs, but didn't actually see any he recommended I buy one of their do-it-yourself kits which I did I bagged up everything in the dresser drawers in trash bags, I purchased the encasement mattress covers, I sprayed put powder did everything as instructed in the kit after about a week and we saw nothing then on 8/5/22 another one was seen so I called Terminix and Orkin to get estimates I decided to go with Terminix because I was told by the inspector (Darien) your company did heat treatment and spray I asked him did I need to remove electronic from the house (because I'm thinking this heat treatment means heating the rooms in the house) he told me no I didn't have to move the electronics but he told me I did need to move my plants outside because the "heat" might damage them (I have over 20 house plants) so I removed them from the house on 8/25. On 8/23 Darien came to my house to pick up the payment for the treatment I gave him a Bank Cashier Check in the amount of $1756.34 (which I have a photo copy of the check) however he had me sign an ACH authorization but assured me no ACH would go thru it was on hold and was required to hold my appointment I thought this was a strange policy, but I trusted what he said I even asked him as he was leaving are you sure they will not process the ACH. He said no. I even called the Terminix office to verify with them that an ACH wouldn't go thru my account since I paid with a cashier check. I was told no ACH would go thru. But guess what happened on 9/1/22? An ACH from Terminix in the amount of $1756.34 tried to clear my account I didn't have enough $ in my account to clear so the bank reversed it and I was charged a $33 NSF fee, I called the bank and explained what happened they saw I had got the bank check to Terminix on 8/23/22 so they refunded me the $33 fee I then called Terminix and explained to them what happened, I called Darien and told him what happened I even talked to Darien's manager everyone said they would take care of this and no more ACH transactions will be processed on my account well guess what happened again on 9/6/22 another ACH from Terminix in the amount of $1756.34 tried to clear my account, again it was reversed by the bank, I was charged another $33 NSF fee!
I called the bank again, explained the whole situation again, this time I didn't get my $33 refunded, and I had to put a Stop payment on the ACH which cost me $25.00 at this point I'm very upset over this whole situation, in addition to the stress of this whole ordeal when the technician came to treat my house on 8/26/22 he told me there was no heat treatment involved that they use steam heat on the furniture (so Darien was not truthful to me about this) and he would also spray the living areas. This was another surprise because Darien said that the whole house would get treated.
I did send Darien's manager a text to tell him about the 2nd ACH attempt he texted me back that he would look into this but that was 9:20 this morning it is now 6 pm and I haven't heard back from him. I feel Terminix owes me $58 dollar in fees I have had to pay due to your error in processing this transaction. I should not have to go thru this, this is makes no sense to me this situation should have never happened. I will be happy to email you proof of the check given to Darien the transactions on my account showing fee I incurred. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com

Dispute over settlement of termite infestation/damage to my house/garage
I called Terminix initially on June 13, 2022 about possible termite infestation in the exterior wall of my family room. Tech came out and treated the outside of the wall same day. I had contracted to have my chimney removed (fireplace had been removed 30 years earlier) due to an observed leak in the same wall. Upon removal of the chimney, severe termite infestation and damage was visible. Termites had destroyed three floor joists, several studs in the exterior wall extending to the corner of the back wall, and the floor/sub-floor covering the damaged third floor joist. I contacted Terminix via E-Mail at 2:45 the 19th of July, 2022 and they sent out a manager, who took pictures and said that Terminix would most likely cover the damage. A week later, a second manager came out and went under the house (repair work to wall and floor joists had been completed) and inspected. He complimented the work on the floor joists and said that there was no more termite activity under the house. On July 30, 2022, I forwarded the invoice for repairs and my signed Terminix form letter so that the manager could "process... damage claim.
About a week later another person came out and went into my attic to see additional damage to the gable truss and said he would expedite my claim upon his return to the office. The following week, I received a call that Terminix was going to send me a check for $8,500.00, which I should have received within the week. At this point, the damage repair was estimated at $13, 808.00. This estimate did not include the repair of the gable truss. Additionally, more termite infestation was discovered around the garage entry door. The additional cost to repair the additional damage was $1,980.00.
On August 22, 2022, the house was treated inside the garage back wall, and the outside of the garage side wall. He was unable to further treat because of building material lying next the garage wall. On September 1, 2022, he came back and treated the inside of the garage exterior wall, the crawl space, and under the front porch. I sent the manager a copy of the invoice for the additional repair work. My phone calls, and E-Mails have gone unanswered. We have been dealing with issue all summer and like the total $15,788 be reimbursed.
We have received nothing but negative termite reports for years, which made us think everything was fine. The damage to the floor joists and braces under the house was so extensive, it should have been noticed years sooner.
We had never had any problems with Terminix until this incident. Due to negligent inspections, we are having to pay the price. My wife and I are not happy with the $8,500 settlement check which we refuse to cash until this issue is resolved. The check itself was not timely as initially promised by the manager, but dated August 19th, mailed August 22nd and received August 26th.
Desired outcome: In fairness, Terminix should pay the entire cost of the repairs to my home which is $15, 788. However, if Terminix will send us an additional $5,000 to the $8,500, we would be willing to settle.
Payments / visits / bait traps
In 2020 and 2021 I made my yearly payments for my annual termite bait checks. Went in on-line to check when they were due for this year (2022) again only to see they hadn't been out in 2021 like they should have. Called to get this straightened out and was told that, although I could'nt get a refund for the year 2021, he was going to take off $40 for the no visit and have someone come out and do a closer inspection since the prior year was missed. The balance due has not been fixed after 4+ weeks.
Now I go out to start cutting back flowers and find the dog was playing with a left behind bait container, looking closer... there were 2 bait containers that were left behind!
I called to make a complaint and find out is this was poisonous to dogs, and was told to call "Animal Control" because she didn't know and the tech wasn't answering.
Customer Service
We found an underground wasp hive in our yard on Saturday. I was stung and sent to the ER. My dog was stung. Saturday, same say we called terminix with whom we have an account for them to come and maintain our pest issues. They obviously did not. they said they would come wednesday between 1-3pm. they did not. we called and they said they would come Thursday 8-10. they did not. they then said they would come at noon on thursday. they did not. when we ask why they no show no call, they don't give a reason. we have asked to speak to managers. they do not call back. our home now has wasps in it. had they given us the courtesy to know they were never coming. we would have utiliized someone else. when we called to cancel the woman on the phone was rude, yelled at me and spoke over me. you can't cancel UNTIL THEY COME and remove your temite baits. but they do not come. This is a raquet and dangerous

Contacted Terminix 4/2021 re termites. Has issues from beginning about treatment vs preventive. Management involved and we thought it was resolved. Oct 2021 seeing small mud houses but employee saw no swarms. April 2022 seeing swarms and termites. Difficult to get anyone to call me back much less do any treatment. Horrible customer service. Had to contract w another company.
Desired outcome: Requesting refund for services NOT rendered. Not to say the further damage to our home. Compared to The other company we contracted with - which cost us $2,400 - treatment was never done right in the beginning.
Charge for a services not requested
Terminix came out to my home to get rid of squirrels. I paid the service off in a month. (Around $7000.00) Now they came out several months later without my permission for service. I did not requested this service, but charge me $180.00 for a 3 minutes walk around my home ( on camera). They have came out to my home in the past, I spoke to the rep, declining the service, but this time the rep just walked around my home for 3 minutes and left a bill. Please do not do any business with this company!
Violation of the contract
I signed 2years rat exclusion contract. Terminex company is disorganized, carless. Worse companey ever. I regret that I use terminex. They sent technicians without set appointments. I set appointments nobody comes!. Just sign auto payment, nobody will come to do the service. I filed complains 4 -5 times each time they tell me, the manager will call you, nobody calls but they keep take my money monthly. Even if I cancel the service, I still have to pay. Terminex breaks the legal contract. Aftet 6 calls the technician came spent 15 -20 minutes without any instruments / bag or small ladder to check about the rate sticky parts placed in higher places. I ask mark to come to check on insulators they placed it, every time he ask to reschedule because family issue. I want to cancel the contract without paying rest of the 2 years. 81 year old mom bedroom ceiling collapsed due to too much insulation in the attic
On June 19th my mother heard a huge "boom" in her home. We found out that her bedroom ceiling totally collapsed and now falling drywall and insulation where everywhere over everything in that room. We immediately contacted Terminix and they came out to do an assessment. We get a call from Terminix telling us that we need to contact our Home Owners insurance company and that they would know how to get intouch with Terminix legal department. What does that sound like? So we contacted the Home Owners insurance and since my mom, and 81 year old woman, was now displaced, they put her up in a hotel. After a couple of days we were informed by the Home Owners insurance that they denied the case since there was no water damage or any structural damage. It was solely due to the insulation being too heavy and their denial letter will state "Poor Workmanship". I've been trying every avenue to contact someone at Terminix and no one will return my calls or get back to me in anyway so that we can get this resolved and get this situation fixed. The room remains in devastation and that fiberglass insulation is coming out of the door of the room and just sitting on everything as well as the drywall. How long can this room just sit like this? My mother is very emotional about the situation. Had she been in that room she would be seriously hurt or even worse. Thank goodness that did not happen.
Desired outcome: Terminix needs to restore my mothers bedroom back to it's original state, clean out all the insulation, pay her for the personal property she has lost and correctly install the insulation in her attic at no cost to her.
