Horrible service
One star is too high. We hired this company. We agreed to a set amount. They attempted to charge a fee on our card that wasn't owed. On top of that we just had our driveway and sidewalk power washed by another company. When Massey came along their Employee left chemicals up and down our newly power washed sidewalk and all the way down the road to another customers home. His footprints are on the sidewalk. We attempted to speak to the Manager Garrett but to no avail. He was nasty. Sloppy work, bad customer service. They are no shows when they told us they would be here. I do not recommend this company

We have been Massey customers for many years starting back in the Tampa area starting in the 1990's. We had the best lawn on the block! That's how far back we go with Massey so we do not take this cancellation lightly. But since we moved to St Augustine in 2018 and picked service back up here.
My wife and I have spoken to multiple people, multiple times about Poor Service as well as Service that allegedly happened and we have proof it did not. Bottom line is my lawn looks the worst it ever has and I am tired of Massey making excuses that it's my fault or an irrigation issue and never taking any accountability.
Our lawn is the absolute worst looking one on the block, maybe in the whole neighborhood. The neighbor right next to me rarely waters his lawn nor does he have a lawn service and it still looks better than ours. How is that even possible?

Massey lawn cutting
I started Complaining in May that I was getting Cut only once a Month. When they do cut it I have to go out and rake up all the clumps or I get dead spot in the Lawn. It is funny the Guys who sprays said I should get after the Landscaper or I will develop a fungus. Then I complained in June, July was a disaster I had to borrow a lawn mower and cut it myself. Massey has no problem Collecting the money out of the Account but the sure have a problem with their service.

I have used Massey 4+ years for all lawn care services. I have run into a problem getting my lawn cut over the last 3 months. Often times not getting the lawn cut for 3 + weeks and, only getting it cut after repeated phone calls to my local office. Now I have run into a problem where they no longer will call back after I request to find out when my lawn will get cut. This applies to both the general manager of the office and the direct supervisor of the lawn crews. I need someone from corporate to contact the local office and get my lawn cut on a reliable basis. Thank you for your response. If the general manager contacted me I have never received a voice message or text from him. Most people that call someone leave a message if no one answers. The fact is I have been paying for a service I have not been receiving. Getting my lawn cut only when I must call repeatedly and then only once every 3 weeks in the middle of the summer should be considered unacceptable performance by anyones criteria.

Driving home in my neighborhood, a massey trucks pulls over to the side enables their hazards then the vehicle in front of my goes around the Massey truck. I then begin to go around the Massey truck and the Massey truck turn very sharply coming within centimeters of my car. Y’all need to pay attention and stop looking at your phone while you’re driving, you’re going to hurt/kill someone. And we will then have a field day with you in court.

Irrigation services
Have 18 zones and over 200 spinkler heads at my residence. Foolishly I agreed to pay $600 a year for quarterly inspections AND if a head broke they would fix it if I paid for hardware.
Well, they come by every quarter and in 30 minutes claim they check all the sprinklers. The only ONLY thing they check is if water is not spraying up in the air.
This week, had a head blow out. Eight days later and 7 calls later nothing but promises on day will fix, then no show and never professional enough to call.
Today, one texted me that he came out and could not find the adress after about 5 minutes of looking and said going to the barn. I called him 3 mintues later and refused to come back if I gave him directions over the phone. The Wildwood, Village FL office of Jamican based Corp is terrible.
Desired outcome: I want this sprinkler fixed and refunded $150 for quarterly payment and want them to stop taking advantage of Villagers.

I put new sod down last summer; and it was going well until late fall, when it deteriorated and died. I checked the irrigation; and it was hitting those spots. I am thinking it was grubs; and Massey's treatment was supposed to take care of that.

Non service but they bill me and say they have been out to property
Almost 2 years ago I told Shaun Brown with Massey Pest Control I no longer wanted or needed their services because it wasn't working. Each time someone from Massey came out they left with a check for payment. Shaun Brown has reported that he has performed service at my property when he hasn't. I have tried to call him and he has blocked my calls. The company has not serviced my property sent I terminated the agreement. There is no contract. Their corporate office continues to threaten me about non-payment because they are saying technicians are the ones billing me. No one has been here and no one ever will from Massey. I had called and left numerous messages for the General Manager. To date, no one has called me back. I have checks that show when they came on the property and performed a service they were paid. They left with a check and all have cleared. They never came without us being at our property. They are trying to scam me because I am a senior citizen. They are causing me stress and I want it to stop. They should be paying me for the harm and stress they are causing me. This company, Massey Pest Control is fraudulent and consistently misrepresents its service. Stop billing me. Stop threatening me with legal actions for services you have not performed. Video shows who has been on the property and it has not been Massey. And it better never be Massey Pest Control. Horrible business. Massey Pest Control pay me for all the time I have had to invest in your mess.

Monthly service and the fact the massey man walks in and just stands there.
The massey staff person comes in and just stands in the kitchen. I told him bugs were coming in under my door, all he did was walk over them. He needs to spray the hall were they are coming in under my door. I left the ones that came in that day instead of cleaning them up. All he did was walk over them. This is jamestown woods in tallahassee. You advertisement says you never come in the home why is he coming in and just standing there. He needs to spray the halls. I do not want him coming in my apartment again.

pest control
I had paid for a full year of service up front with Massey Pest Control, the initial first charge for the first spray. I had had another pest service but was still seeing bugs and fire ants in my home and outside. They said they could take care of it and were very nice. They sprayed a few areas in my home around the outside of my house and left. I still had bugs, I called them and they came out to spray outside again. Still had bugs. Cancelled them and went to a different company which is more thorough although a bit more expensive. Been over a month and I haven't received my refund (never pay a full year in advance with this company). Every time I call they say it's at corporate. I'm a widow on a fixed income. They want their money up front but sure are snails to get the refund back to me. My new service has treated twice, no bugs or fire ants and still not seen my refund from Massey.

Lawn watering system agreement over promised!
Massey sales rep (Bill) over promised.
We were sucked in by an impressive advertising campaign to have our sprinkler systems repaired and maintained.
A salesman, Bill, came out and created a sprinkler repair design and said it covered our entire sprinkler system. He guaranteed it. We signed the contract. They took $580 from our credit card for just the repairers of our entire sprinkler system.
21/2 months later a young man came out. He had the same drawing we had and said he was out to do the work on the drawing. After he left, we checked the system and found many of the heads had not been dug out and raised. We called Massey to complain. Massey said they have another department for sprinkler contracts. We said our contract and our money went to Massy.
Massey said the other department would
Call us.
Instead, the young man that did the hard work came out and said only some of our sprinkler system was on the original design contract. We thanked him and called Massey, again.
We asked to speak to Bill, our Massey sales rep.
Massey asked why? We told them he wrote a contract and promised our entire sprinkler system would be as good as new.
Why would we hire Massey for only the sprinklers that were already working. We did not notice that some of them were missing from the original sprinkler design. Massey said, Bill is out sick. How long can Bill be sick, unless Massey has decided this is the best way to solve their problem.
I just read another complaint. Massey sales person, Max made the same mistake.
We do not recommend Massey for your sprinkler system repair and maintenance.
We will give Maceys one more try to repair our lawn sprinkler system.
Desired outcome: Dig out and raise the buried sprinklers and adjust the entire sprinkler system. As Bill said “ as good as new“
James Robinson, the manager of irrigation for Massey. Came out yesterday and dug out and replaced all the sprinkler heads that were not done on the first visit.
Our issues with The irrigation repairs have been resolved.

Yard Spraying
Buyer Beware! I had Massey Services for the spraying of my yard. Checked my Ring Doorbell Camera, and it showed that the guy never sprayed my yard - just left me an invoice! Not sure how many times this happened before I caught on. Told Massey I wasn't paying, and to cancel my account. This was in 2021 - they have now sent me to collections for $60.00 (the cost of the service). No one will talk with me at all. Don't, I repeat DON'T use Massey Services ever.

Massey didn't care when they repeatedly stained my driveway
I recently cancelled my services with Massey (Pest and Lawn treatment) after having them for over a year now. I had several issues with the lawn treatment because every time their service rep Randy would come do my lawn monthly, he would never blow any of the remaining product they place on my lawn and scrubs. So every month when he left there would be the little beads which would get wet from the rain and sink into my driveway, side walks, and walkways. This led to me calling Massey not once, not twice, but over three separate times to have them come clean off the orange stains. The supervisor Brian finally came out once. When he did, he was not in the slightest apologetic and understanding of my concern for this happening every month when they treat my lawn. Brian assured me the rain would wash off the stains from when he sprayed. The rain did not wash off the stains. So I called again and the supervisor Brian came out a now second time to clean off the orange stains. This time he would not even make eye contact with me. When I voiced my concern and asked if this is just a regular thing for them, and all the driveways they treat are supposed to turn orange from their products, he didn't even answer and mentioned they are supposed to blow. Which clearly, they have never blowed off my pavements before they leave because I get a new stain every time they come. Randy wouldn't even let me know he was on the property anymore so I could point this out to him (he used to ring my doorbell every single time he was here). I should not have to worry about new stains every month. As a supervisor you would think you would do your best to correct the problem for the future, but Brian could care less about my concerns. I even had my hedges turn black because they never treated the bug poop that turned them black hat had clearly been there for quite some time. The only rep that did my yard correctly, was Billy. He even had them come out to fix all the issues and spots the other reps missed. I still have now brown stains on my pavement that I will have to try to get off myself (which will not come off after we have scrubbed) because I do not even want another Massey rep on my property. I will no longer pay for (several) services with a company who does not value my property, time, or give me the slightest amount of respect. I will gladly give another Pest/Lawn company my loyalty and money. Do better Massey of Orange City. Right now, you are pathetic.
Desired outcome: Train your reps and supervisors to actually look people in the eye, do the full job they are supposed to do.

An argumentative manager ( Mr. Likens) who would not make things right
unless I got the buyer of my house to use Massey. They charged me $650 for a job it took them 13 minutes to do. The manager (Mr. Likens) kept arguing with me that I had approved the job. I thought the job would take much longer and be more complicated than some guy spraying a chemical around in the attic for 13 minutes. I was there and timed him. It was to disinfect the rat droppings in my ceiling that Massey could have prevented if they had done their job.

I hired this company because I was tired of doing the maintenance on my own. Within a few treatments I noticed the side of my lawn was dead. I called the green up manager of the Lakeland division by the name of Chris and he told me I had a fungus in my lawn. I explained to him that the technician could have dragged the fungus on the lawn because I have never had the issue present in the past and the lawn was dead the very next day after the shrubs got serviced. Long story short I contacted the regional manager and they replaced the lawn. Today, about a month later I go to pull the weeds out the the shrubs and little did I know that they are dying. I called and talked to a manager and was told that I can just go ahead and cancel. Now I am out of the money that I paid for services that caused my lawn and shrubs to die. Granted they replaced what, 20 bucks worth of lawn but I am out an additional close to 100 bucks just to buy the shrubs. I will never again do business with this company and I hope that you don't neither.

termite protection guarantee
Had a new house built. Instead of spraying under the slab the builder or Massey decided to put in bait traps that is supposed to be for five years. What they don't tell you is after the first year you have to pay $200 per year for years 2 to 5. I told Massey to remove the traps after talking to a friend who was also a customer. She told me they billed her for another year and only checked the traps at the front of the house. Grass had almost grown over the ones on the side and back yard. She fired them also. I guess they will find another sucker for our bait traps. Really all they have in them is like a balsa wood nothing to kill the termites.

When it comes to customer service Massey is great. Management just has to remember that it's its associates that make it great. when it comes to Massey appreciating their employees its all down hill. Making them work 50-60 hrs a week 6 days a week for pest. They work on commission on the lineage of the houses and when you figure the time that they put in by what they make on the house it comes out less then minimum wage. They never get to see their family because by the time they get home, they are so exhausted from being out in the sun all day they go straight to bed.
