If you have more than four in a party you are seated at a table for 6 at a table for 4. With no room at all to walk around the table. We were so uncomfortable we couldn't enjoy our meal. The restaurant wasn't busy. It is a Wednesday. So there should be exceptions made. People all around us were bumping into us while we were eating spilling our food all over us everytime they went by. I would not want to come back to eat because of this reason. Your supoosed to enjoy yourself when you go out to eat and I'm sorry I didn't
unacceptable behaviour from a manager
On Nov. 1, 2017, myself and my daughters went into the business in Montgomery, Al (East Chase). The waitress came over to take our drink orders and she asked for my daughters ID, one of them had her wallet stolen and therefore she only had the temporary paper state issued ID until she get her hard copy, when she showed the waitress her id she said I don't think we take paper id cards my daughter asked her why it's me, the waitress say I can see your information but let me ask the manager so we waited the she returned and said the manager said no, my daughter asked to see the manager. Once the manager came around the corner and say that we were black his whole facial expression changed. Blaine came to our table didn't great us didn't speak he just said yes, I looked at him, so my daughter asked him was it a Texas roadhouse rule about the id and he said yes, at that time I took over the conversation. I asked him if it's a rule of the establishment then let me see it, he replied I don't have to let you see nothing and it's a state law if you want to know then you find it and read it, I said ok I can read because I'm not dumb, being that he had and attitude and those nasty prejudice attitude, I told him if she weren't black he would have taken the paper id. He said get out of my establishment so we left. On the next morning I called corporate on the 2nd of Nov. and spoke with Julie last name start with and H she just got married so I cant' remember the last name. I explained the situation to Julie and she looked up the information about what manager was there that night and the manager was named John, so blane is not only prejudice but a liar as well but, Julie promised me that she would have someone higher up than her to call me by Monday Nov. 6th but nobody did, so this past Monday I called and spoke with Julie she told me that the complaint was in HR I didn't understand that once again Julie promised to get back with me but didn't, I called her back on wed. Nov. 14 and got her voicemail and left another message but no call yet.
Issues for this complaint are twofold: 1) Deborah never clearly states what she wants from the complaint and 2) state law really does limit how alcohol may be served when minors are present. Paper IDs can be too easily copied and if they are caught breaking said rules, there are heavy fines and loss of a liquor license.
It doesn't sound as if it had anything to do with race as the policy was stated without seeing the person.
I want an apology from blane for his unprofessional attitude, you wasn't there to see his whole facial expression change when he came around the corner and realized we weren't white. My daughter's ate 24 and 22 grown women. He could look at her and the picture on the temporary id card but he was so angry to the point that he leaned down in my face to ask me what I said when I made the statement about him being racial. Blane had no right to be in my face. I see you didn't address the fact that he lied and said he was the manager and he wasn't. He also followed us out the door when he put us out some manager skills he got.
Hi Deborah.
I appreciate reading your reply. You're correct in that I wasn't there which, admittedly, could make a difference. However, the information you've provided, both in the initial complaint and in your reply, bring up a couple of questions.
To begin with, in relating your rendition of what took place, the waitress explained they were not able to take the paper ID. She then went to a manager to ask and, again, returned to the table saying the same thing. It was then that your daughter asked to speak to the manager directly. This is when you suggest he 'came around the corner and realized you were black.' So with respect, it would seem that everything prior to that moment suggests he was relaying to you the general policies without knowing your race. Am I wrong?
Then you've just stated that your daughters are 24 and 22. Legal drinking age in Texas is 21. I will guarantee that most people are not equipped to judge an age span of 3 years, let alone that of a single year. This has nothing against you personally, but anyone providing alcohol would be making a dire mistake to not I.D. your daughters.
I also wouldn't blink an eye at this Blaine being a manager. Many establishments have more than one manager and definitely more than one manager on duty at a given time. Just because a corporate call center suggested one person was a manger and the name of the person who was addressing the issue was someone by a different name, means very little. He was at least being addressed as manager by the waitress who was taking care of your table.
Please excuse me if I'm wrong, but then you suggest "if she weren't black he would have taken a paper I.D." Based upon the fact you're suggesting that he didn't know a race until "he came around the corner" and prior to that he had relayed through the server twice that he couldn't take a paper I.D., it would seem just the opposite. In fact, in this instance, you seem to do yourself an injustice to even bring race into the discussion. Does one get to sidestep policies or laws because they're considered a minority?
Very sincerely and respectfully, if I was in a similar situation as Blaine, I'd have likely done something similar. I wouldn't have "gotten in anyone's face." But I may have said, "Look. I'm sorry, but I can't serve alcohol to a table where I'm not able to determine minors are not seated. If you'd rather eat someplace else, then I understand. Please do so." I just know the state departments which regulate alcohol licencing are extremely 'sneaky.' They'll place someone in the establishment which is underage and have them looking like they're in their 30s. Establishments which have been provided a licence to serve alcohol have to be rigorous -- if not, they can get in a great deal of trouble.
both product and service
I had a 15 person group scheduled to attend Texas Roadhouse on 11/10/17. I called to see if I could make a reservation, as it is not standard and customary for them to reserve tables. So, on 11/4/17, I called and they were able to accommodate me based on the party size. They provided me with reservation #4601. It was a 7:30PM reservation. They told me that they would push three hi-tops together and our wait would be 5 minutes at the most.
Upon arriving, I gave them my reservation #, the hostess looked confused. She went to get a manager and she says that she now sees the note and reservation, but it went under the radar. They forgot. So, now I have 15 people, two elderly and three children who are being squished by the doorway. Over an hour goes by, I have the two elderly guests feeling dizzy and the rest of the party upset at me as if I made a mistake. It was embarrassing and humiliating! So, they seat us after an hour and at this point, the place is empty and my son's birthday is ruined. We decided to make the best of it.
It gets worse. Two of the tables are in one waitresses section and one is in another's. They start arguing in front of us as to who will serve and who will get the tip! The manager had to come out and scomd one of them right next to our table
It gets even worse. Three people in our party order prime rib. The waitress tells us that we're out of luck. We should have showed up an hour ago. At this point, I am furious.
I sent a complaint to the restaurant through their website. Not one email or phone call regarding the issue and how they will make this right! That's almost as bad as the event itself!
I need them to contact me immediately to address this. I spent over $455 dollars on 11/10/17. I feel that we were lured in based on a false promise, knowing that once we were there, on a Friday at 7:30, we'd have no other choice based on our party size and they were right! We had no options but to stay and give them our business or cancel our evening I can give you the receipt #, waitress name and scan code, if needed. Please provide a response immediately, as these practices are wrong and totally unfair to the consumer. I am a reasonable person, but to not respond to my concern is crossing the line
ripped off gift card
My daughter who lives in south carolina bought me a texas roadhouse gift card on 8/17/17 for my birthday. Well went to use in on 11/10/17 and was told that it had been used in maryland in sept 2017. I live in mass. And have never been to maryland. The giftcard that was emailed to me was hacked and stolen. Texas roadhouse has no security procedure so this wont happen-they don't check any ids to see who is using giftcard. My family etc go to texas roadhouse more than other chains and now i will check my past credit card statments to see if there is an internal sceam going on. Im a veteran, 69 years old and disabled and i will pursue all avenues with this-it not just the money, even though my daughter got ripped off $25 and my meal cost me an extra $25. Never again would i buy gift card for this restaurant
temperature of food and appearance of restaurant
On Friday October 13 I had a party of ten to celebrate my husband 60th birthday. The service was bad. The waitress had absolutely no help. We received our refills timely but no one came to clear table of used glasses. We ordered an appetizer and when our entree arrived we still had glasses, plates and salad bowls on table. We asked twice waitress standing by register just standing. I ordered the ribs and they were cold I informed waitress and the Manager came. He couldn't care less. He finally offered to get me something else but I informed him that the cold taste of the ribs ruined my appetite. I'm a type one diabetic and took insulin to cover the entree I ordered had to share the birthday boys entree just couldn't wait any longer for another order. Somehow he made me feel like I was to blame for the cold ribs. I has to convince him they were cold.
I love the restaurant but this Saturday October 28 my husband and I went to the same Texas Roadhouse I wanted the ribs but because of past experience I choose a bowl of chili. It came luke warm the cheese would not melt. Once again I did not enjoy the food. I informed the waiter but once again no concern.
This particular location in Pearland is going down in service, food and appearance fast! I was there a couple of months ago and had bread under my table I complained to everyone including my waiter, the waiter that pass by and the same unconcerned manager that came to my table on Oct 13. Guess what no one came to clean under the table or apologize for the uncleanliness. This manager really need learn good management skills. I love Texas Roadhouse. I've been to your chain all over the world. I was most impressed with the one in Kuwait. But it's getting to the point I becoming disgusted with the one right down the street from me.
And when I called to complain I was on hold for 20 minutes before a recording requested me to leave my information for a call back. REALLY!
service.. wait time to be seated
I am contacting you to advise of the horrible wait on my visit to this establishment. We had call ahead seating at 5:55pm on saturday. We arrived at the location at 7. We were told we had to wait for at least half our party, who was in the parking lot, for us to be seated. When the rest arrived, we were told 10-15 mins at 7:15. Its now 7:53 and we are still waiting to be seated. The call ahead seating is a joke! I will NOT visit this place in the future. The wait is unreal...and I called guest relations who told me the manager will be notified. I will tell everyone I know about the wait today and the inability to finally be seated together as a group..instead of two back to back tables.
overcooked steaks/bad service
I took my fault to the West bend location on 10/20/18. I tried to be as patient as possible. I wait over 20 min to get served a beverage. When I got my food the steaks were like chewing rubber. I mentioned an issue to my server and I was told someone would get back to us. No one ever came back. We wrapped up our over done steaks in napkins to take home for the dog. While my dog was excited for eating 4 steaks, I was very disappointed.
I didn't want to make a scene so I left with the hope of you correcting this issue. We spent a lot of money for overcooked food.
Thank you

I am complaining on the manager sabrina
I feel so disrespected by the servers and manager at the Cranston location I went there on Thursday 10-12-17 at around 6pm 730pm i spent 50 dollars there and tipped the server the food was delicious has usual and the server was pleasant what I thought was a great night turn into the worst I left out of there 5 mins didn’t even leave the parking lot I noticed I had left my wallet at the table I go back table already been clean I ask the staff about it everyone was saying no one found anything than one of the server came out and said yeah they found a pink wallet after 15 minutes them looking for my wallet on he said she said they bring me back my wallet with no money which it had money in it my pink lighter missing and other personal stuff I tell the manager and her reply was what upset me the most she replied there’s nothing we can do we are not responsible great job sabrina if it was a customer that robbed me I wouldn’t be this upset but for an employee to robbed a paying customer there and u tell me your not responsible for it it’s wrong at least u could have tryed and look at cameras and got to the button of this how a normal place would have done I never felt so disrespected it’s sad cause I loved going there but how do I go back to this place after this kind of experience
manager stoney
I am complaining today because of something I overheard a manager say. I then got the managers name from a server and found out her name is Stoney. When you are calling your team the “F Squad” and putting your team down, it is very demeaning to the attitude of the restaurant. I as a regional manager for a corporation find this very disrespectful. I personally would not have a manager with such a deteriorating attitude on my payroll. I will speaking about this as an example with my team, when I bring up things not to do when training a new team. I also will not be dining at this roadhouse again until management is more supportive of their servers.
Thank you for your time to hear my complaint.
texas roadhouse sherman tx
So I have food allergies. I am allergic to pepper butter and oil. I went to your establishment and Sherman last night with my sister and her kids and when I got my steak there was oil on it. The manager who I talk to stated that the person who cooked it did not put oil on it said nothing about putting butter on it so I don't know if that's what was on it or not. My concern is she did not seem the least bit face that she had made me sick well not she had made me sick but the food had made me sick I swelled up and was so dizzy my sister had to drive home. I don't want free food. But when someone has an allergy. Measures should be offered to be taken at least the next time the person is in there or offer to redo the stake because I paid $22 for essentially carrots and broccoli. I was offered nothing all she did was take my phone number. I wanted something to be offered to be done next time as in like okay we'll go ahead and we'll put your food next time in tin foil so we don't ever have this problem again you know something acknowledging that there was a mistake and it will be fixed they didn't even acknowledge that there was a mistake. They said their manager who cooked it said he didn't do it wrong. I'm so upset that they could have really hurt a person and they seemed more callus then caring it's such a disappointment I just wanted to let you guys know but I don't ever want to return to your restaurant.
"allergic" to pepper, butter, and oil?" Um..let's just say that if I was your primary care doc, I'd refer you to a psychiatrist - not an allergist, possibly a gastroenterologist if you passed my "mental health screening." But the elephant in the room? Why in heaven's name would you even think of going into a restaurant? Well, except maybe to have an opportunity to give someone a rough time. You're a mental case. Are you by any chance the one writing the complaints about Brach's maple nut chews? Just a guess.
quality of food
Went to Texas road house on Tuesday 3 Oct 2017 to have dinner with granddaughter. I ordered the pull pork meal and the mini cheeseburgers for the child. My pull pork looked like two day old ribs that was dried out and so we the mini cheese burger and the service was good just not happy with the quality of food. The restaurant is located in Suffolk Va 23435 and it was around 6pm
harassment/embarrassment
I was invited to a birthday dinner at one your restaurants. We were a party of 10. So we was kind of large. The waitress Rebakuh seemed new and needed some asst. At the end of the night everyone to my knowledge satisfied their checks. My cousin and I was held up waiting for 20 mins waiting on her 13.00 change. After finally receiving it we were then chased outside by the managers stating that someone in our party did not pay. We had our paid receipts in our hand and the manager proceeded to say that she would call the cops on us if the bill was not paid. They continued to humiliate us outside in front of customers about a bill that was not ours. They then said that they would look up the paid customers info and give it to the cops if we dont pay it.
atmosphere
I go to Texas roadhouse not only for the great food before the great music. But when the music is turned down where you can’t hear it ruins the experience for me. The waitress said they couldn’t turn it up because some people complain. If anyone complains about the music they should not come to Texas roadhouse because that is what makes the atmosphere . If anyone don’t like the music tell him to go someplace else please. Unhappy camper
service/food
I travel a lot and eat at a lot of different locations. The location in Bossier City is the worst! I always have issues with my food and now the service has gone downhill too. Tonight I sit having an appetizer which was overcooked and no one asked how it was, I had to flag a bar tender over to take my dinner order (there were 2 bartenders and 4 people at the bar) because they were too busy chatting, watching tv, and drinking out of their cups. It is such a disappointment that one of my favorite chains, I have to refrain from when I'm here in Bossier City.
manager, waiters, waitresses
After sitting down, waiting for our meal, a waiter yelling and with such vitriol verbally attacked me for being a racist. He was supported by other staff members and the manager that #1 after being told the facts, the waiter overheard a comment..decided that it was racist..decided to judge us based on a small part of a conversation, took the opportunity after line dancing near us, approach our table, leaned inward aggressively, was unbelievably verbally threatening, aquestioning why I was a racist . It was not enough to tell the manager that this was highly inappropriate behavior.
#2 The manager decided the facts were not enough, wanted to know what I had said to MY FAMILY that upset his wait staff, thus escalating the situation
#3 He said he was going to get a complaint form? harassment form? But came back to the table with out form and in a very defensive manor told me "I need to watch what I said in here" We could not finish our meal..even though I still had to pay for it, my elderly mother closest to the violent young man was physically shaken and had to take additional medication for he heart/blood pressure.
The manager also implied that I was at fault, upsetting.? Insulting? His employees, that he had to defend them, thereby assulting them.
Why was I attacked, by multiple employees, for a private comment directed to a family member. Of which I cannot recall the exact words, just the topic . Which is not what is in question here..just the abuse received by wait staff and manager. I intend to make a phone call regarding this situation in Houma, Louisiana on Martin Luther King Dr. on Sunday 24, 2017 at approximately 12pm to 1pm
to go order
I just picked up a to go order about an hour ago however there was several odd things with the pick up. The cashier was taking the boxes out of the bags and I ordered 2 chilis which bother were dumped all over the container and leaking on everything else in the bag that was minor in my opinion the bad thing was at the bottom of the bag the last box she took out to open was a half eaten salad with the fork still in the salad.
they could not get our order right
Come out to meet a friend for dinner at the one out by the Orlando Airpot and we had a Bad experience. I order my road kill with out mushroom and it came out not only on top of the steak but a side bowl filled with them. The waitress told us when she came back to the table and we told her it had mushroom she said I am sorry what I did was tell them not to put it on the road kill but to put it on the side so my friend could have them, But yet my friend order mushrooms she was charged $1.99. If you were going to give her mine then why would you order some for her and charge her? I sent it back and the manager brought out a new one to me and said he was sorry about that. I order it med-well and I cut into it and it looked a little under and as soon a I took a bite it was like eating cold uncooked right in the m iddle. Then I looked at it and it was raw. It was like they tried to cook it fast but the middle was not even starting to cook. They did take my dinner off but they should have comp the whole bill as my friend didn't eat hers till I got mine back. once got it I could not eat it. I was done with dinner. My friend never eat her so she took hers home and when she got home she went to have some of her pork chop a it was pink inside. We do go there a lot but I think it will be some time before we go back.

bad experience
Me and my family went to eat at Texas Roadhouse in West Monroe, Louisiana. We did the call b ahead. When me and family was finally seated, the waitress came with cold rolls with no plates. We finally placed order and it took about 40 minutes to get order. When order arrived the waitress told me it will be a while on my loaded bake potato. I was finished eating what they brought me because I did not want it to get cold. I did not understand why they could not have brought everything out when it was ready. I have already been waiting and frustrated for almost an hour. If this is how we are going to be treated at your business, I will take my business where I am appreciated. Thanks
charged twice
My MAC card had an additional 79.11 charged to it last Saturday Sept, 9, 2017
The manager and owner really didn't care and couldn't tell me why, or how it happened. I asked that Steve Mulligan, the GM contact my bank and I gave him the info, as per my bank. He and one of his managers were extremely nonchalant. I am a senior, who gets paid once a month. It's not out of their pocket! We won't be eating there anymore. Still waiting for a refund.

birthday ruined
Today we went to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate my husbands 21st birthday. He is also a employee. And he is someone who has been celebrating his birthday at Texas Roadhouse for years now. So as always we went there but the point is we got up to leave after spending almost 100 on food and 14 as a tip. We got up to leave and we left his 30 dollar cake ( that wasn't cut or touched) I am so mad at this because we had people come up to us because people knew everyone at are table. No one tryed to chase us outside ( we stood out side for about 5 mins) no one called us (people had his number and people at our tables number) we then went up there where we went to pull the door to ask if they had it the but the host hide under the host stand knowing we were standing there waiting it was about (10:27) to come to find out the employees ate the cake which is so wrong and upsetting because no one tryed to get a hold of us and they didn't put it in the walkin they just ate it! We will never spend a birthday there ever again nor eat there Texas Roadhouse just lost five family's wroth of money.
