A Disappointing Experience with Just Eat
As someone who values convenience and quality when ordering food online, my recent experience with Just Eat left me utterly disappointed. The anticipation of a delicious meal turned into frustration as my order arrived late, cold, and completely wrong. The lack of accountability from the customer service team only added insult to injury. It's disheartening to see a once-promising service fall short on every front. Just Eat, once a beacon of hope for foodies, now stands as a cautionary tale of what can go wrong in the world of online food delivery.

Refund policy
On July 5th I ordered from just eat and received a pizza which was half stuck to the top of the box. I complained the next day and without asking they refunded me in account credit. Despite offering me no choice but to get my refund of 9.35 through spending more money on the app they point blank refuse to sort the matter out. [Just Eat UK] Re: Just Eat...
Read full review of Just EatRefund refused on food over an hour late
I ordered on Justeat. After an hour, I called the restaurant to ask where my food was. They told me it was sitting on the side, waiting for a driver. App told me a driver had been there for 25 minutes. Another 25 minutes passed before the food was delivered, obviously cold. I contacted Just eat and told them the problem. They told me that after looking at my previous claims I cannot have compensation. When I asked why I was told because I had complained more than 5 times in the last 6 months. I have only complained about items missing from my orders, which has happened a few times. This is a ridiculous reason to refuse a refund over a bad customer service experience. I had spent just under £60 to wait for 1.5 hours to receive cold food.

Returned delivery from just eat Paisley happy valley takeaway.
On the 13th February 2024 I ordered from just eat, food from the happy valley takeaway in paisley. After two phone calls asking where my food was, I received my order an hour and a half after the estimated delivery time. The food was cold, price paid £20.60.
I called the takeaway, and they agreed to collect the food and refund in full my payment. I was told to do this through just eat website. This I done and in the 16th February 2024, I received a refund of £6.65, a deficit of £13.95.
When I questioned just eat about this, they seemed to think this was all the compensation I was entitled to.
I find this absolutely outrageous that they think they can get away with stealing money from the public for an abysmal service. I doubt I that I am the only person this has happened to.

Pizza Hut delivery
I was meeting with my colleagues and friends for a nurses' retirement party this evening. I ordered pizza at 6:20...
The ETA provided was from 7:10 so I sat back and relaxed. At around 7:15 I started checking and finding the ETA mysteriously slipping later and later. No reason, no apology.
Guests are asking where are the pizzas? What do I say?
By 20:20 pizza had still not arrived. ETA was showing as 20:14!
I wanted to enjoy a meal not constant frustration.
To complete the disaster the pizzas were cold. It's difficult to understand how a supposedly professional company could perform so abysmally.

Grocery delivery
We ordered from our local and the order we received was in correct. We caught the delivery driver before he left our house and he was very very unhelpful. He would take the incorrect order back. We we were left we someone else’s order. This was our Sunday dinner and then we couldn’t afford to buy anything else so we were left with no food for our Sunday dinner. The co-op were most helpful they phoned just eat and got no satisfaction from them and said all we could do was put a complaint into just eat.
How can there delivery companies be allowed to get it so wrong

Taken payment, did not receive my food
My app showed that my food was delivered but it wasn't received, when I spoke to the restaurant they said that the food was still there waiting to be collected. As I thought it could of been a slight mistake I waited but when I called back 30 mins later it was still on the counter, so I asked if I come to collect could I get fresh hot food as this would be freezing now and was told no. I reported this to just eat straight away to receive a refund and then I had to chase for a response days later to be told they won't be refunding me as they looked on my account? If they mean it shows delivered Ithats fine but I have call logs showing I contacted the restaurant. This isn't the first time the driver hasn't collected/delivered our food. I have the emails etc. I just want my money back for food I didn't receive.

my dog got hit by a car the other night, idiot driver delivered to the wrong address wasn't for me, didn't even wait at door, left a package on door step , knocked and proceeded to leave. Read full review of Just EatUnauthorised payments taken from my account on 3 occasions. Meaning my account details were used withiut my knowledge or authority
My bank account was debited without my authority or knowledge 0n 18 September in the sum of £13.35 again on the 25 September for £13.35 and £32. Meaning that my account details have been abused by someone who had access to previous payments I had made to Just Eats (I had in fact made one payment on 18 September in the sum of £19.15.)
I have reported this to my bank
To make matters worse, apart from losing money and having to cancel my card I had to go through your non existent Customer Service Dept. The email address provided sends your emails to no one and the phone number gets you to people that tell you to email. As a company you should be ashamed
Desired outcome: 1. My money refunded2. An explanation of how it occurred3.An apology4. A system that recognises that you have customers who do not what to spend hours to lodge a legitimate complaint
Just eat
Someone has just tried to charge my card for 3 separate attempts from some company called just eat. I don't know who they are and I have never been to any places called just eat. The charges were declined but they seemed to keep trying to take money from my account so I reported my card lost or stolen and I have my card in my hand. Apparently someone somewhere has stolen my account info and they are trying to rob me so I would advise everyone to be aware of what transactions are going on with your bank cards. That's crazy what people are doing and getting away with in the world today. I hope someone is looking into this company and hopefully they get caught soon before a lot of good people loose their hard earned money! Smdh
Desired outcome: I had to report my card lost or stolen
Delivery cyclists

Hi I ordered food on the website
Food was so bad I hand delivered 3 of the 5 items to the restaurant the lady was happy for me to go through the app to be refunded I did so then was asked for pictures of the products I explain that I took the food myself to the restaurant and the lady advised me to refund through the app which I did I was then told because I didn't take a picture of my food I would not be entitled to anything. I explained if they speak to the restaurant they would confirm I took the food back but they haven't and I have also asked for it to be escalated and getting nowhere all I want is to be refunded for the 3 of 5 items I did not eat and took to the restaurant myself just eat order number [protected] shocking from just eat when the restaurant respected I didn't cause a scene and was happy for my refund to be processed

Read full review of Just EatFraud and theft
Just eat have fraudulently taken money from my elderly grandmother the bank resolved the issue and sent her a new card.
Whats is seriously odd is the new card used for the first time DIRECTLY with a take away shop the same day it was recieved and had never left the house and she immediately recieved two further fraud thefts, therefore the only conclusion can be that the delivery drivers are the thief's working in any take away for just eat.
Facilties should stop using just eat entirely.
Desired outcome: Shut down just eat
Charging to my business visa card - we don't even have an account with Just Eat
We are a film company at Pinewood studios and just eat has charged our business debit card multiple times for several hundred pounds- yet we don't have an account with Just Eat and have never used them in the past. This is outrageous. The account and restaurant being used to launder the money and delivery address must be different from the card verification used so should not have been allowed. Why is 2 step authentication not used by Just Eat. You are a disgrace. The obviously allow easy setup to allow a false account with no checks against a simple text or bank app verification.. Just Eat, You are making it easy for fraud to happen.
Spoken with the bank and cancelled card only to discover to find the replacement card (that we have not received yet) can be charged as Just Eat register the account as a rolling payment service similar to having a subscription which can be carried across to a newly issued debit card account . The thieves have already tried to charge the new card today (remember we haven't received this card yet) 6 times. I am shocked to find that this can happen and don't presume cancelling your customers card will stop this fraud made easy by your payment systems. Barclays Bank have been helpful and have done something special which we are not sharing here but it is shameful on you Just Eat. However I also feel the bank should not allow rolling card transactions on debit cards and the fact you (just Eat) setup a transaction in this way!
Anyone reading this (I have posted this review as a warning on several complaint sites) and passed all information to trading standards and have forwarded this to Martin Lewis and The financial ombudsman for urgent review. If you are a customer I advise you to block just eat via a card and use a single payment system with them such as PayPal with 2 step verification until Just Eat get 2 step authentication (which works) on debit and credit cards in place.. Please remember as a company we have never had an account with Just Eat so this is totally criminal action which Just Eat appears to be helping.
Desired outcome: To get our money back and just eat stop allowing this type of fraud!
Kfc
I placed an order with just eat for kfc but the courier turned up with our items in an opened bag so we questioned as to why it was opened he said its how it was given to him by kfc. We looked inside and there was items missing so we told him to take it back which he refused so i contacted the store and the girl i spoke to was not helpful at all she told me to contact just eat which i have done a few times but they have ignored me i even sent a photo of the bag opened at my front door but it gets worse as i looked inside the box there wad chicken missing so straight away we decided not to eat i did say to the girl on the phone we will not eat contaminated food so angry now.
Desired outcome: I just want my refund £27:45 as the food was binned
Fraud - card usage
4 transactions of £102.50 were taken from 4 new mobile phones all within 1 minute at 1am - a total of £410 from my account leaving me with NO money at all to survive and a lot of administration.
After looking online there are literally hundreds of similar cases. We have to assume the security at Just Eat / apps is very weak with little or nothing being done.
Shame on you Just Eat for not protecting your customers - you know this is going on and choose to leave it to the banks and your customers to deal with.
Desired outcome: I will not be using Just Eat in the future - I hope others see this and remove your app from their devices and choose another way to get food.
